Smoking hot men, amazing friends that can drink me under the table, and plenty of money for food and booze – What else could a girl ask for in life?
Oh – Yeah, to rescue my son from my evil nemesis and hopefully end her for good in the process.
Those same hot men and amazing friends have no idea why I work so tirelessly to build my business and my bank account. They have no idea why I train until my muscles are screaming and practice shooting until I can no longer see straight. They have no idea that I also have a tragic past and am fighting for my future, and hopefully for my son’s future.
And after almost three years of searching and hitting dead ends, I’m finally turning over clues to track down them down. But will the answers I’m looking for lead to happily-ever-after or will they destroy what little hope I had left? And, when my friends and family find out that I have been lying to everyone for years, will they stand behind me – or walk away for good.
Find out now in the much awaited, fast-paced, drama-filled, action-packed, third book of the Kelsey’s Burden series – FRIENDS AND FOES.
"Friends and Foes", third in the 'Kelsey's Burden' series is essentially a parody, so far over the top that it is completely unbelievable. The heroine, Kelsey Harrison, owns a financial empire created by her unfailing Midas touch, has a huge arsenal, the support of the Mafia and other criminal empires and, yet, can't track a single woman down despite offering very large rewards. Nola, the woman in question, abducted Kelsey's adopted son, Nicholas, some years back. It is complicated by the fact that Nola is actually his real mother - not that she seems to care that much about him. A series that had a lot of promise at the start has descended into farce. Kelsey, a superwoman, seemingly has only one fault - she can't reverse a vehicle to save her life. I'm out. 2 Stars.
This is the third book in the series. I love the characters. They are so varied and such fun. The story continues with Kelsey looking for her kidnapped son. There is always a lot going on in the story and I love the fast pace. Very entertaining though a difficult topic of sex trafficking in parts of the book.
This felt like an interim novel leading to the important next one. Lots of action, some family drama, a takedown of a high level criminal, and some postering on little bad guys. Interesting read but not my favorite. Enjoy. It is a good read.
The plot on this third book in the Kelsey’s Burden series is still going strong on the hunt to find Nicholas. Kelsey never ceases to amaze me with what a BAB she is and how she handles the punches that keep coming her way.
Great thrilling read. Every book just gets better and better. Love the mystery and suspense in each book. You never know twist on the next page will take you!
My review disappeared but I read this before. In 2024. I don't Know why my review is gone. I may have to reread since I already finished the series and I can't remember it as well.
