There aren’t many things I find difficult in life. Felling a tree, building a fire from nothing, fixing whatever’s broken—it’s nothing. It’s easy. But keeping my desire for Maisie in check? Difficult as hell. It’s a risk, pursuing her. She’s pissed off at me. She’s more than a decade younger than me. She could easily break this stubborn heart of mine. But I need her. I need her curves. Her feistiness. Her kisses. Her heart. I need every bit of her to be mine. Forever.
Dear Reader, He’s a dominant, protective hottie. She’s equal parts sugar and spice. Fate made their paths cross, and now it’s up to him to claim her for good. If you love rugged heroes, curvy heroines, and short steamy romances with heart-melting happily ever afters, this one’s for you! xo, Kate
She’s the once-in-a-lifetime love I’ve been waiting for. Jesus, listen to me. I don’t even know her name, and I’m already thinking about sliding a ring on her finger.
Cute little romance. The only thing I didn't like was how long their phone conversations went on without any plans to see each other or any talk of what the future might hold for them. I was really happy when Dominic got off his ass to make things happen.
A fun little read but didn't have much substance. A good little palate cleanser if you're between angst filled books.
Plot: Maisie goes home to visit her grandmother and finds her beloved oak tree gone from the front yard. The new neighbor, Dominic, cut it down for her, but Maisie isn't convinced it was necessary and even thinks he might be scamming her grandmother. She confronts him, but Dominic is more interested in a relationship than a discussion about a tree. Once they get to know each other, who knows where things could go?
Commentary: I was a little annoyed with Maisie at first. I mean, this guy does a good deed for the grandmother - something Maisie couldn't do herself since she wasn't around - and she gets so upset, all without having any knowledge about tree care at all! I guess she was lucky that Dominic was so besotted so that he didn't get mad at her nonsense!
I didn't care for the writing style very much and struggled with the plot or rather the impression this story feels incomplete, where the characters start off on the wrong foot only to jump into a marriage - after two weeks of phone conversations. There's no real chemistry between the two MCs and this short story is not really sweet but neither hot.
All in all a dissapointment for me though that doesn't mean there won't be readers enjoing this short interlude.

I am such a sucker for a Kate Hunt book. Absolutely gobble them up and end each book with a smile on my face. I always can’t wait to read another right after. I forgot I had this one KU’d and figured between books was the perfect time to read it. And of course, like always, it was absolutely amazing and sweet as can be. Don’t get me wrong. It was hot, too. But that insta love hits differently when it’s a sweet romance. And throw in a hulking man wearing flannel and mercy!! 5 Stars.
I thought this was such a cute novella. Maisie is such a spitfire, and what a meet cute! Dominic is a sweetheart though he doesn’t really show it too much, but they are pretty adorable together. I especially liked the epilogues!

This was a strange story for me. There was a lot of the book focused on the main female character going on about her normal day and very little interaction between the main couple. Everything happened in the last 2 chapters.
Ms. Kate is back with a good book. Maisie and Dominic are drawn to each other even though they drive each other crazy at first. Maisie is fiesty and very protective of her grandmother. Dominic has a hard exterior but he is a marshmallow on the inside. These two have a bumpy first meeting but that meeting was all it took for them to feel a pull towards the other. I can't wait to see what Ms. Kate has in store for us next. I enjoyed this book and I would it and Ms. Kate as a wonderful author.

He may not do romantic but he will do whatever she wants him to
All I can say is that Kate Hunt is back fully with Need Her. This story is exactly what I had come to rely on .... a fast-paced, OTT, quirky, insta-lust/love, older man/younger woman, one big possessive and protective Alpha and a curvy and beautiful but feisty woman story. I have to admit that I missed reading Kate's stories as she took almost a year off from publishing but I am welcoming her return with this story about Maisie and Dominic. They meet when Maisie is visiting her very beloved grandmother for the weekend only to find that the big and memory filled oak tree that had been in the front yard was now only a stump. It turns out that a newish neighbor, Dominic, had come by when his big and friendly dog has wandered onto her front yard only to see some dead branches on the tree and then think he saw that it was actually dying and a hazard. He offered to cut it down and then take the wood. Thinking her grandmother has been swindled Maisie stops by Dominic's place on her way out of town on Sunday and lights into him going toe to toe. He immediately is enamored with the feisty, curvy and beautiful younger woman and he knows he needs to figure out how to make her his. Maisie was dumbfounded when she saw the very tall, built and handsome neighbor for the first time. She may have been ready to give him a talking too but when she loses her ability to speak and think things could turn out interesting. She does quickly get her temper back and tells him to make it right with her grandma. A couple of days later there is a major storm that rolls through the town and when Maisie cannot reach her grandma she panics. The only person she can think to phone who would be able to go and check on her grandma is the one person she does not want to call, Dominic. But desperate times call for desperate measures and once she finds his number on the internet she dials his digits only to get the news that he had already checking on his older neighbor and helped her clean up fallen branches. This call is the opening that Dominic is going to leverage in his quest at true love and forever.
Kate Hunt's Need Her is a super swoony and steamy short instalove romance. When she goes to visit her grandmother and finds the large oak tree gone from the front yard, Maisie grows suspicious of her grandma's overly helpful neighbour. On her way out of town, Maisie shows up on the doorstep of Dominic's cabin where the young, feisty heroine gives the older alpha a piece of her mind - and the normally-grumpy Dominic is instantly taken with the gorgeous curvy goddess. When a storm throws the pair back into each other's orbit, they start getting to know each other over nightly telephone calls. Dominic and Maisie have Kindle-melting chemistry in this high-heat, low-drama, entertaining short instalove.

I really liked this over the top instalove story. It was short but entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable. Maisie was a firecracker. She was sassy and didn’t hold back but she was also sweet and caring. Dominic found out how sassy she was when she confronted him about her grandma Peggy’s tree. Dominic was protective, possessive, and caring. He was not prepared for finding the one for him just standing on his porch. There was a tiny bit of drama which helped move the romance forward. I loved their happily ever after and I recommend reading this book.

In this book we meet Maisie & Dominic. These two are both looking for that special someone. That one person just for them. Little did they know they would find that person with one little disagreement over a tree. Will these two find a HEA or will they find something that will keep them apart for good?
Amazing short story. So much I want to tell you however I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Maise loved her grandma more than anything she loved spending time with her so when she found out the old oak tree was cut down she gave Dominic a piece of her mind She went back home and a storm hit her grandma town She called but no answer so she was worried she looked up Dominic number and called he said she was fine he was just over there He called back a few days later cause he wanted to hear her voice and the next thing she knows he showed up on her door step in the pouring rain They got their happy ever
This was a cute short grumpy/sunshine romance. I liked the story but I would have liked to have had a bit more of the interaction between Dominic and Maisie to have been a part of the story instead of just inferred. I missed getting to know them as they were getting to know each other but other than that I really enjoyed the story.

When Maisie comes into town to visit her grandma for the weekend, she doesn't expect to find Dominic. They have a heated first encounter when she thinks that Dominic was taking advantage of her grandma. Dominic fell hard and fast for Maisie at first sight and is determined to tie her to him for life. This was such a great story! It was the perfect quick read story.

Sweet and fun read. I liked how these two built their relationship by talking, even after their first meeting. There was some heartache but lots of building their relationship, so sort of a slow burn? Either way, it was a good read and once these two got together it was super steamy. And the bonus epilogues were fantastic!

I enjoyed reading this story. I love how protective she is of her grandmother, and how much they love each other, and the joy they get spending time together. Then she meets him, and is quite salty with him. Meanwhile, he just fell and hard, for her. She calls him out of concern for Granny, and the courting starts. They get their happily ever after, Granny included. How sweet was that. Get the Bonus Epilogue. You’ll enjoy it too!
While visiting her grandmother Maisie notices there was a tree missing from the front yard. She finds out her grandma's neighbor Dominic cut it down and now she's worried he's taking advantage of her grandma. From the moment Dominic meets Maisie he falls for her instantly but she takes a bit to realize her feelings. This is a slow burn romance filled with likable characters and a misunderstanding that almost got in the way of a great ending. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Maisie is upset that some neighbor cut down her grandma's big oak tree. Maisie loved that tree and ventured to give him a piece of her mind only to find her future in a handsome Dominic. I enjoyed this short entertaining and sexy book, and loved the bonus epilogue. Skye is a chip off her mother's block!
It was a cute story, and I enjoyed it. The reason for only 3.5 stars instead of 4 was that we don't really see the relationship develop... They start talking, then we jump forward two weeks but they've been talking on the phone each day. I liked that it wasn't insta-everything, but I felt like the relationship happened while we were between pages.
This was a sweet, steamy story of Dominic and Maisie, parts reminded me of little red riding hood but with a more adult take, I really enjoyed this book :)
Great quick read!! Sweet, loving grandma, cute large dog and a man that knows what he wants. Everything that is required for a happily ever after! A must read!

Dominic and Maisie met while she accused him of fraud🤣🤣🤣 Their attraction and connection were instant and they gave a realtionship a shot 😉 This was a sweet, romantic, safe and drama free story with a sweet HEA😍😍😍 And great epilogues👍👍👍
