What’s a ghost girl gotta do to catch a break around here? All I want is some peace and quiet and some time to get to know the men I once loved. Maybe throw in some mind blowing sex while we’re at. What? It’s been a hundred years, and this ghost girl has needs. Don’t judge.
My guys are on edge and being a tad bit overprotective, so when Reggie says we need a girl’s night out, I’m all for it. But after a chance encounter with an old acquaintance, things start to go horribly wrong. I mean, my mark is dripping down my arm like ink across a page, the guys’ powers are starting to go haywire, and someone out there still wants us out of the picture...for good this time. We’re forced to reach out to an old friend for help. Death isn’t exactly what you’d call friendly, though. He’s honestly downright dour, but maybe his missing daughter can solve our little problem. That is...if we find her in time.
One thing’s for sure. I’m going to need a lot more wine...and donuts...and alcohol-infused ice pops to deal with this shit show. Because there’s no way we’re going down without a fight. Sigh. #GhostGirlProblems!
Twist of Fate is book two in a medium-burn, why choose trilogy. It’s highly recommended that you read A Fate Unknown first. The FMC will have a HEA with all of her guys by book three.
Oops, Sinclair has done it again! Twist of Fate, the second book in the series is just as good as the first. With hot guys, laugh out loud #GhostGirlProblems, smoking hot bedroom scenes and plenty of humour, I had a difficult time putting it down. Add in some mystery, angst and a cliffhanger, and I can say Sinclair's got another winner on her hands. (And I'm not the biggest paranormal fan!) 😆 Looking forward to the next book! 👻
Sinclair Kelly has completely smashed this book out of the park! It was absolutely phenomenal! Once again we get an action-packed, sarcasm filled story that you won’t want to miss.
I completely fall deeper in love with Fate! This Ghost Girl is a riot! Her ridiculous puns, sexual innuendos, and naughty mind make for one heck of a character that I’d love to be best friends with! Add in her loyalty and love for her men and those closest to her and she is the complete package!
“You should be thankful I love you because sometimes you make me feel a little stabby.”
Then there are Fate’s sexy men. Macklin (my adorably sexy nerd), Knox (the empath with a dominant side), Levi (the sweetheart with a heart of gold), Thad (the dirty-talking teddy bear) and Cole (the protective alpha hole). These men bring so much depth and life to this story! From their hilarious and sexy interactions with Fate, to the loyal and protective nature, to the utter sense of family they all have with one another, Fate included.
This story leaves off right where book 1 ends and their journey of figuring out what happened to Fate and her men is far from over. Without knowing who they can trust, it’s paramount now more than ever that they stick together and end this lurking evil once and for all.
I really wanted to take my time with this book because I loved the first book so much that I knew I’d want to absorb every single word, line, and detail. Let me just tell you that Sinclair Kelly DOES. NOT. DISAPPOINT. If at all possible, I loved this book more than A Fate Unknown. I won’t leave spoilers, but this amazing author outdid herself this time around. I laughed, I cried, I raged, and literally gasped aloud in shock.. I could feel every ounce of love and passion leap from the pages and take hold of my heart. If you thought you knew where book one was headed, you were probably wrong. This story is one of a kind and I’m here for it in every way!
A note to the author: thank you for giving us this story to fall in love with and these characters to hold close to our hearts.
YES!! Fate and her Fearsome Five are BACK! So many emotions in this book as they begin working through their fractured memories of their past lives. So much STEAM, holy hades. 🔥🔥🔥 Grab a pack of cigs, you're going to need one. Or two. 🥵 Damn! There are new characters that I'm absolutely in LOVE with. And for such a brief appearance near the end, those characters are so well developed! I can't wait to learn more about them. And that cliffhanger? Omg, you're killin' me, smalls! 😲
Holy shit balls this book is awesome. I don’t think I’ve laughed so much in my life . I’ve cried a few times too . This sure is a shit show especially because of two assholes ( no I’m not talking about Cole) hateful jealous assholes ( again not talking about Cole😉) I can’t wait until fate takes care of them because Karma is a huge cuntnugget 😘 and fate is coming for you .
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This was even better than the first book!! So many emotions to unpack while reading this. Fate is even more hilarious even while facing another giant obstacle. Mack is still my favorite but have been seriously enjoyed all twins shenanigans, Coles bossiness and Knox's kinky little dark side.
I am extremally excited to see how Fate and the guy's are able to get control of their latest predicament in It Must Be Fate.
Unfortunately, I basically knew who the bad guy was from the beginning because the author gave too many obvious in-your-face clues. I hate it when an author treats me like an idiot. I still really like Fate as a character. And Death was rather hilarious. But yeah, too much sex and too little actual story in this book.
This book was phenomenal! I binged the first one and then devoured this one! Fate was already struggling to get back to her life, learning who she is and how her life is supposed to be. She didn't need any added hardships but without discovering who was responsible for the mess her life has become, it was only a matter of time before things got worse. This book, just like the first, was filled with hilarious situations between the characters, sexy scenes to make you swoon and suspenseful moments that make you want to scream! I cannot wait for the next installment of the series. Literally can't wait, I mean come on Sinclair, where is it already after that ending! If you haven't checked out this series, I beg you, go check it out now!
Does not disappoint!!! Great sequel to the first book and now I am ready for the 3rd! This book was so fun, sassy, and SEXY 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I just love Fate, Macklin, Thad, Levi, Cole and Knox. Their banter and quick quips really make them relatable, and the suspense, from cover to cliffhanger! I cannot wait until next book to see what is next for Fate and her Fearsome Five have in store for them next!
Fate sure has a lot going on. And now someone who tried to kill her before is at it again. Oh and who knew that Death lived in the suburbs. And like always Karma is such a B! Can’t wait to read on and see if Fate can finally live on in peace!
‘Ghost Girl Fact #14: All you thirsty girls... don't worry. I've got your back. ’
Honestly, this series keeps throwing out surprise after surprise and I am totally here for it!
This second book was just as good as the first - maybe even better!
I’m so interested in Fate and her boys and I’m really excited to see where this series and story goes next. And Fate’s sarcasm is honestly one of my favourite things about her. She has an attitude, she’s strong and just a great female main character.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Fate and her guys can't get a moment to breathe. There is one thing after the other, and now they need to re-learn ti trust each other if they want to survive. This means that the guys need to let Fate in on their plans, and the same can be said for Fate. After another problem arises toward the end (you'll know what I'm talking about if you read it) that made me laugh quite hard, we finally figure out who was behind Fate's disappearance. I can't wait to see what's gonna happen next.
Wow this series isn’t playing! We get even more context in book 2 of this trilogy when it came to what happened to Fate all those years ago. So much devastation and anger, mixed with the humor we had in book 1. All the guys finally get time with Fate and boooooy are the times sexy, steamy, and some super romantic and adorable. I love the vulnerable moments between Fate and them. I love the guys are such a family, they look out for each other and also let each other have it when they need a good knock to the head haha.
Everyone’s powers expanding was a great touch to the storyline. We also get more answers about that fateful day 100 years ago and what the willow tree meant and everything. We get introduced to even more side characters who really help elevate the storyline and the world the author created. I think for me the reason I rounded the 4.5 stars down to a 4 star rating was because some things were repetitive, some lines like cookie cutter, it just didn't flow as well for me as it did in book 1. I still really enjoyed it, but I sometimes wasn’t as engaged in this one like I was for book 1, where I was glued to my phone so I could listen to the audiobook throughout the day. Also I didnt like Fate as much in this one as I did the others. I think some of her actions didn't fit her personality shown in book 1, some of the quickness to anger for no reason or a small reason. She was a Queen, she is very logical when it comes to the important issues but would go off on the guys for some minuscule issues. Still enjoyable but not as good as book 1 was to me though.
I knew who the bad guy was gonna be from the very beginning where they were introduced, but it didnt diminish how things went down. I am so glad the whole trilogy is out on audio our I would have thrown my phone after that cliffy hahaha. I was like YOU BETTA NOT BE HURTING MY FAVORITE!!!! haha I definitely jumped on book 3 right away after that 😉
Narration was the same as it was in book 1, I wish the male narrator wasn’t so obnoxious surfer for the twins (or at least one of them in particular). He just made them seem airhead/stupid and over exaggerated their scenes. I thought he did Coal the best and Nox was done fabulously because of his heightened senses and empathy, he had a lot of emotions to deal with and the narrator did that so much justice. The female narrator did a good job with all the ups and downs of Fate. She had to run through a gambit of emotions and the narrator did a good job keeping up!
Fate and her guys are back and funnier than ever! Those amazingly hilarious facts at the beginning of each chapter really add such a nice touch to the book even when there is more serious stuff happening. There's a balance between humor, action, and the action in this book making it easy to follow along and not be waiting for certain actions to happen. This is one of those books where you are there for every second of it no matter what is going on. The characters pull you in along with the mystery in the storyline. With the memory gap and Fate meeting her guys recently it's fun to follow along and see how they reconnect and learn more about each other while their souls and bodies still have some inkling about each other, those sweet moments of rightness where they just know. This is where they are supposed to be and with whom they are supposed to be with. Unfortunately secrets cause some issues like they do in every relationship and it shows the characters how detrimental they can be when you can only trust so many people. But what I really loved was that despite the secrets, despite the fighting and misunderstandings, they stuck together. They didn't let the issues separate them and they found a way to work together. They barely know each other and are learning new things as they go, but they know that they can rely on each other and that is the sweetest thing about this group. Slowly the pieces are falling together as new characters are added, flashbacks collide with the present, and clues are found. You can definitely see where the story is leading us as it is a bit obvious but there are plenty of twists in there to keep you on your toes! This was a fun one to read and I'm so excited to see what becomes of Fate and her group of guys and friends. She's already so different from her past self that I see a lot of good coming out of this unplanned gap in time that they went through.
**Cliffhanger Warning!** What the ghost?! I love this book. It's the second in the series, so it's not a stand alone. This is a fantastic, funny, action-packed, magical, medium-burn, reverse harem romance. There is still plenty of exciting and sexy action, as well as a mystery. Oh, and relationship issues. Fate and her guys have some communication problems that even a box of donuts can't solve.
This book is smoothly transitioned from Book 1, with all the "rules" at the beginning of each chapter. I'm impressed by how well each character's p.o.v. is clearly presented. While some of the mystery has been (slowly) revealed, and a few questions have been answered, there's quite the conundrum at the end. That cliff is a doozy! I enjoyed how the group is getting only bits and pieces of their memories and their pasts - it builds even more of a mystery.
I'm also fascinated by The Gateway. S/he/they seem to have their own way of communicating and helping Fate, as well as her team (Reggie, Cole, Knox, Macklin, Thad and Levi). I hope they can do more about the villain's diabolical actions.
I have to say, while I enjoy the steamy action, funny banter and snarky comebacks, the hashtags (#) are a bit much. These characters are supposedly thousands or hundreds of years old, so it seems a bit heavy-handed. Maybe they're overcompensating and trying to seem cool?
I'm ex-specter-ing more things will be revealed in the next book!
I really am regretting letting this series sit in my TBR for so long. The drama and all the excitement in this book had me on the edge of my seat and eager to see what would come next. Just like in book 1, I thought the plot progression flowed well and the mystery as to what happened to Fate is now being revealed.
I love how the author really highlighted the relationship issues between Fate and all her men. It gives the readers something to relate to since we all have our own issues within relationships. Fate and her men really need to learn about communication, secrets, and trusting each other. It was frustrating to read the secrets they all decided to not mention to each other but it made from a dramatic and angsty read.
Only 1 book left in the series and I’m not sure if I am ready to read their ending yet. 😭 These characters are fun to read about, the world the author has created is interesting, and not to mention all the drama has kept me captivated.
Sinclair Kelly hit it out of the park AGAIN! The second book of the series was on fire! It starts where book one ended and takes us on another wild ride with an amazing cliff hanger ending.
Fate and her sexy men, Cole (Alpha-hole), Macklin (sexy nerd), Knox (empath), Levi (sweetheart twin), and Thad (dirty and loveable twin), continue their journey to a happily ever after. This book has all of the feels and I was emotionally vested from page one. The interactions between Fate and her guys are at times funny, sarcastic, sad, frustrating, downright lovable, and of course muy caliente.
Not only is the story amazing, but the character development is also top notch. I love all of the characters so much that I cannot pick a favorite. I mean who wouldn’t want five amazing men and one amazing best friend. Everyone needs a best friend like Reggie. She is my friendship spirit animal and I love her to death.
I am so excited to see what happens in the next book!
I loved Fate from page one of book one, and I have continued loving her through how many pages now?? Not enough! I can't wait for the next book. Fate and the boys are back again with alllll the humor, allllll the steam, and alllllll the #GhostGirlProblems, and I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT.
I wasn't sure it was going to be possible to beat book one, but I think the plot development of this book made it equally as good (and maybe even better? Don't tell book 1 I said that). I loved seeing the relationship between Fate and her sisters and how they are unique relationships and how they tied into the unknown past that Fate has. I also loved alllll of the new characters that were brought in: Nate, Liv, more of Reggie, our cute surfer boy.
As always, Sin leaves us with a fabulous cliff hanger, and I will be dying (and hopefully ending up with the fearsome five?) to get my hands on book three as soon as possible!
If you haven't read this book already and you live snarky, semi-twisted female main characters with a weird sense of humor and 5 insanely hot, albeit overprotective, male leads who would do anything for their woman......this book is for you. Solid 4.5 star read for me.
As a follow up to Fate Untold, this book moves a bit slower in certain aspects. Twist seems to focus more on the relationships being rediscovered between the FMC and each guy. The one thing that did irk me a bit about this read was the horrendous lack of communication between Fate and her guys. Each of them saying how truth is important with each other, but then each holds something back. Obviously this is done purposefully to drive the story ahead, but it was almost like this particular vein of the story was beaten to death. Like come on already!!!!! Be honest! This is probably the only thing keeping me from giving it the full five stars. And the ending.......cannot wait for book three!
The prologue starts between realms. It looks like it is from Destiny, Fates sister's point of view, or a least a snippet of a conversation. It doesn't sound good for our heroine.
This book gets steamy as they find themselves back in Illinois. Now she must figure out the why and the who and find her little black book. She also is balancing five guys at the same time. This gets crude and funny.
The men are conniving, tricking her into being safe while they work on answers. It is nice to get a glimpse of her being a gatekeeper and what that entails. Of course, she has to be an extremely stubborn woman and gets herself into so much trouble, both the wrong kind and the steamy kind. However, the highlight so far is imaging her two strong men dressed up and walking in heels because they lost a bet, way too funny to not be rolling through. This book is all about figuring out what happened and who was responsible for the one-hundred-year hiatus on duties and separations from her guys.
I love the reverse harem romance list the author hid in a scene in this book. This book is full of tons of comedy, so much so that you'll be smiling while you read it. Of course, the apparent solution to issues is death. I didn't expect that one. Omg, of course, things get so messed up right at the end, leaving this book in a massive cliffhanger. You will want to read the next book, and hopefully, everything ends happily ever after with no drama for a change.
I like that fate is fighting for her womanly independence in this book. She is no pushover, instead preferring to be in charge of her harem everywhere except the bedroom. Not all her guys handle it well; however, it does make for one heck of a heroine. This story is mostly about finding answers to what happened in the past and by whom. Most of the book is steamy as they reconnect after she becomes human again. There is also the threat of all the guys dying that they must deal with. Fate makes new friends and new enemies, but I think the best part of the book was with the grim reaper.
I binge read these first two books of the Ghost Girl Series and honestly I need more. I can't recommend enough as this just has me hooked and rooting for Fate and her guys to get a happy ending.
There is a mystery going on in the novel so you can see the darker side that is there but the writing and characters caused this also to be entwined with some much needed light heartedness and had me giggling through out it.
Fate is an awesome character I love her so much. The love she has for all 5 guys is clear even if they all don't have all their memories. Each of the guys are different (well the twins are bit alike but still) and it's great to watch them rebuild a relationship with her.
Although this is a supernatural type romance I honestly think most people would enjoy this an need it in their lives. This for me is a must read.
How I missed Fate and her guys, glad they are back. Book 2 picks up where book 1 ends. This book had me entertained just as much if not more than the first book. Fate and her guys Cole, Knox,Levi, Thad and Macklin are still figuring out their relationship but the funnies do not stop. They also learn more about Faith's past in this book that helps with some of the mystery.
I really enjoyed Fate as a main character in book 1 as I felt like I really identified with her and I'm glad that continued in this book and I loved her even more. The guys in this book are all so different and I couldn't get enough of them and neither could faith 😉
Bring on book 2 because I need more of this ghost girl.
I loved the first book in this series, and this book did not disappoint. It was even funnier than the first book, which I was not sure would be possible. I really appreciate the fact that everything does not instantly get better because Fate is bonded to her men, its far more interesting to read because they still have to work through their relationships and the problems caused by the person who removed Fate's memories. This book truly had everything, humor, some smexy action, suspense, and of course... a big ol' cliff for us readers to leap off of. If you're looking for a hilarious new series to start you NEED The Ghost Girl series (go pick up book 1. Now. Go do it.).
Sinclair Kelly knocked this book out of the park!! It was even better than the first book in this series. Sinclair upped the heat, brought in new characters and the growth in Fate and her five was outstanding. So many twists and turns in this series, kick A$$ MC and so much snark and humor. I seriously went from crying to laughing in this book as there is so much emotion on the page. Sinclair Kelly is a new author but in my opinion writes like a pro. If you pick up Fate you won't be able to put it down. I can't wait for the release of book 3. It does end on a soft cliff hanger. The ending won't destroy you but it will leave you screaming for more.
Honestly, one of the best female characters ever. I absolutely love Ghost Girl! This series is wonderful....... full of humor, intrigue , an interesting storyline and fun characters that will have you laughing out loud. My ONLY complaint would be that she said "This is all my fault" too many times in this book, which is a pet peeve of mine. Once, is fine but more than that becomes annoying, especially for this heroine! She is much too fierce for that. Other than that, I can't wait to see what happens next and look forward to reading the next adventure! I would absolutely recommend this series. Happy reading everyone.
Fate and her guys are back, and if you thought Fate had jokes before, you haven’t seen anything! There are more fun times to be had along with some serious bonding and connecting. They do have some serious lost time to make up for. Things definitely aren’t all hashtags, pranks, amd sexy times in this one though. The group has some real challenges ahead, and there’s an epic cliffhanger at the end. I will say that as bad as that cliffy is, this second entry introduces two new characters that totally make it worth it! Now I just need to get my hands on book 3...
WTF........ the book took me on a crazy ride and then that ending. 😱😱 Absolute craziness but Fan-freakin-tastic!! Sinclair Kelly writes a brilliant second book that pulls all the heartstrings while giving you your fill of #ghostgirlproblems. Fate and her men try to continue with their lives re-learning their jobs while also trying to recover their past. Of course things are never what they seem so they are in for a bumpy ride. This book trapped me in its depths until it decided to drop a bomb and let me go. 😂 cannot wait to find out what is coming next for Fate and her men! 💜🖤
