Bold: Moving Forward in Faith, Not Fear

Rate this book
The Bible tells Christians to expect persecution—and those pressures are daily rising in our culture. How do we respond with faith rather than fear to cancel culture and weaponized media narratives?

The Being filled with and following the Holy Spirit as the early Church did in the Book of Acts. This is the only force powerful enough to turn riots into revivals, darkness into light, hardship into triumph, and fear into bold faith.

I cannot tell you how much Sean Feucht's bold witness has blessed me since the beginning of the Let Us Worship Movement. That is when I first learned of him. This book chronicles the story of Jesus unfolding that movement. To know that a man of God and those who teamed with him (including his wife and family) were stepping out in faith, and NOT fear, to bring God's Presence in worship and prayer to the most violence torn parts of our country in 2020 up to the present time brings overflowing hope to my spirit. And, it ignited boldness in me as well. Prepare to be greatly encouraged and challenged to live out your faith in Christ. Jesus is alive. Jesus is real. Jesus is bold. We need to be too.

I have been pondering this quote that Feucht opens the book with since I read it some weeks ago now.
"Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point, which means at the point of highest reality." C.S. Lewis
Wow! It is really true. Think about it.
Let Us Worship held a Sacramento gathering in 2020 when California was still completely locked down. Sacramento-area pastor Sammy Rodriguez prayed a powerful prayer at this gathering. This is a part of his prayer:
"I hear the sound of pastors and worshippers, prayer warriors coming together, I
hear the sound of a Church that understands there is no such thing as . . .
comfortable Christianity. There is no such things as complacent Christianity. There is
no such thing as politically correct Christianity" (p.106).

Feucht writes in his book that again and again God's power shows up. Stepping out in obedience and faith, praising God and prayer tear down the enemies strongholds. People experience God. They give their lives to Christ. They want to be baptized. They are freed of addictions. They are healed of cancer, broken bones, depression, suicidal thoughts and so much more. God is always working, and invites us to join Him.

This book is sorely needed in the body of Christ, especially for churches that have lost their way since March of 2020. Sean Feucht does a phenomenal job of describing the toils, sweat, work, and in reality, the immense amount of faith in God, that it took to lead the Let Us Worship movement of God over the last couple of years. No man, government and certainly not Satan, can keep the people of God from coming together to worship Him and reach people. Because one governor in California declared worshiping together a public health hazard, but allowed all sorts of other gatherings, a movement was stirred up that has awakened Christians all over this country.

Sean discusses how God moved in a multitude of ways as people came to the Lord, gave up addictions and were baptized. As Sean describes throughout this book, God protected, opened doors, and faithfully led the Let Us Worship movement through uncertainty, difficulty, and flat out attacks. But through bold faith, prayers, worship, obedience, gratitude, and all of the ways we as Christians must be bold, countless examples are shown of how being bold in Christ was used by God to further His kingdom throughout this country.

However, this book isn’t just a description of what happened with Let Us Worship, it is also a call to action, to be bold in what God is calling you to do. God always works through his people, and this book will encourage you, teach you. You will see how Sean, and the large amount of people involved in every Let Us Worship event lived boldly for Christ, so that God is exalted and people will hear the good news of the gospel! I highly recommend this book, because being bold as Christ followers is more important than ever!

Bold is a book that has chronicled the last two years of Sean Feucht's life. He had a unique upbringing as his parents took him to the ends of the world to preach the gospel. He has prayed for years against abortion. The mighty Lord chose to break that death decree on our nation. And the last two years, he has been the busiest evangelist for the gospel, in the USA. He has gone to over 150 cities and had overwhelming odds against him, to preach the gospel in outdoor venues, for free. For the naysayers who say he is a fake, I beg to differ. I have watched him the entire 2 years, thankfully d/t social media, and he never wavers from his stance of being Bold for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you know scripture at all, you see that there are heroes that stand in the gap, in unlikely times. I am hopeful those that become drawn to read the accounts of boldness from Sean, his family, and his team; that they choose to do the same in their circumstances. I pray that this book finds the right people to wake them up, and shake them to the core of how good the Lord has been to the USA. Now is the time to rise up and be bold, in each of our lives. So our kids and generations to come will choose a stronger depth of believe in the one and only Lord Jesus Christ. Bravo Sean for challenging us in this time. Keep going!

How blessed I have been to have learned of the ministry of Sean Feucht, “Let us Worship,” when it was in its infancy! It has been an incredible two years of watching God use this servant of His who is boldness personified!

This book chronicles the first year and a half of this unbelievable ministry in the face of every conceivable shut down. As I read the book, I was reminded of each event and the multiple setbacks every step of the way.

Well written and well documented, this is a must-read for every believer, but also for the skeptics and non-believers. Highly recommended!

I prayed God would use the pandemic to send a great revival through this country and He has done just that through Sean Feucht and the Let Us Worship events! This is a must read for all believers, and a great reminder we are God’s children and we are here to bring Him honor and glory!

Every chapter in the book challenges you to step out in BOLDNESS. Sean's writing of his own walk with BOLDNESS puts you right there with him. The chapter on BOLD Worship hit home for me. It spoke to my heart and my spirit. It gave me confirmation in what I have been walking through in my own life with the Lord. "Our worship should not get quieter or more subdued during times of trial, uncertainty, or darkness—it should get louder and more explosive than ever before!" quote from the BOLD Worship Chapter.

In his book, "Bold," author Sean Feucht uses a lifetime of valuable missionary and ministry experience to rally the Body of Christ towards bold steps of faith for the Kingdom of God.

Using his signature straight talk, Feucht shares personal stories and testimonies from the United States and around the world, equipping the believer to fulfill Christ's great commission (Matthew 28:16-20).

The 14 essential steps outlined in "Bold," lay a firm biblical foundation for walking in the love of the Father and fearlessly sharing that love with the world; stressing the importance of bringing heaven to earth in our own neighborhoods, Cities, and States.

Feucht shares key missional turning points from his own life that are especially rivoting - given the cultural challenges facing the Church today and going forward.

No spoilers except this: "Bold" is a must read for every believer!

The author, Sean Feucht, wrote this book to describe the last two years of the Let Us Worship movement. In response to the governmental over reach during covid shutdowns, Sean would go to a city in the United States and set up for worship. I found it interesting that American Christians will commend people who go to other countries to preach the gospel and set captives free, even if it means they have to disobey the laws of those countries. These same people condemn the same actions if done here in America when our government told us to all hide in our homes and give up corporate worship. Many of the people who stood with Sean Feucht were from communist countries and countries with oppressive regimes.
I recommend this book. It is worth reading. One quote I liked from chapter nine. "There is no such thing as comfortable Christianity. There is no such thing as complacent Christianity, and there is no such thing as politically correct Christianity. "

Sean Feucht's fast-paced, well-written story about how bold impassioned musicians have started a revival in America, simply by standing up for Jesus in a spirit of love and courage, intertwines helpful teachings about discipleship with the dramatic episodes. Because the birthing of this Let Us Worship revival has involved peril, hardship, and miraculous interventions from heaven, this book is hard to put down! It reads like a modern missionary adventure thriller! (Sean is a very good writer!) Besides the drama, the message or theme is wonderful! Sean calls all Christians to true discipleship, to following Jesus in bold faith, prayer, love, obedience, and witness. All of us should be willing to lay down our lives--or at least our comfortableness--as Sean role models. I love this book! I heartily recommend it for all Christians who truly love Jesus and want to live totally sold out to Him.

I loved this book and was so encouraged by it. Throughout the book, Sean Feucht helps bring clarity to the chaos of the turbulent times of the pandemic. It took courage to take the stand he did, but the heart cry response of the people all over the nation showed that this is what was needed. We needed boldness to encourage us to worship the Lord in that season! Nothing can stop the Lord and it took boldness to bring worship and healing to the masses all over this land.

In the book, Sean shares his heart regarding bold faith, bold prayers, bold justice, and bold unity, along with many other topics. Every chapter is a testimony to the goodness of God that was poured out, even in the midst of such turmoil. Sean shares that during this time “the only answer is to return all the more strongly to what we are certain of. It demands a return to the truth. It demands a fresh embracing of values we know will last, like faith, hope and love. It demands, in essence, the willingness to be bold.” And his heart behind every move was “unless, of course, more of us are willing to stand up in boldness and voice a different narrative – one that heals instead of injures, reconciles instead of divides, forgives instead of cancels, delivers instead of enslaves, and saves instead of condemns. And the only message that will do that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

God has raised up a general in the faith that will do HIS will no matter the cost. Sean Feucht and his family are true heroes of the faith and inspire me greatly. The boldness that they have grips my soul. It reminds me that God has created me to be bold and to not back down from HIS truth, no matter the cost. It reminds me that the only person I should care about hurting or offending is God, not the spectators. This book shows me how to be bold in love. This book shows me how boldness and love go hand in hand, not one or the other (despite what the world may say). If it weren't for knowing God and encountering His love, then there would be no way to endure in great boldness and faith. Sean's story (case-in-point) is a testimony to this and a testimony that the supernatural can indeed be "natural" (haha) when partnering with our great and loving Jesus!

Powerful!

I watched this journey unfold before my eyes in real time. I had no idea so much of the struggle and battle that was fought before many of these events took place. This story is powerful and is so interesting to see the contrast between what was shared in media and how the group was maligned so badly. I love Sean’s heart to serve God and the people who wrapped around him to bless and make an impact in the community is detached. I so appreciate how he shared the struggle and even pursuing this journey in their own marriage. This book is for real people who have real faith and want to do real work in order to bring God glory, a real page turner!

A must read for anyone seeking hope for the coming generations!

In 2020, Sean Feucht had clearly stepped into his calling as the fearless leader of the Let Us Worship movement, leading the church in the push against encroaching darkness rising over the world. In his second book, aptly titled BOLD, he chronicles the massive move of God unfolding in cities across our nation.

Each chapter of BOLD reads as a diary/chronicle covering the early months of the COVID shutdown, detailing cities where they went and the response of people, government and the church. Along side these stories, each chapter has a biblical command to focus on.

Throughout 2020, 2021 and still going strong in 2022, Sean and his team were literally running into the darkest places, bringing encouragement, reconciliation and hope to those in need. Just as they carried hope to those places, this book will ignite hope and encourage people to be bold, and “move forward in faith, not fear”.

While this book tells an amazing story, I also see it as very thought provoking, causing the reader to examine their own responses to the pandemic. While experiencing so much loss, having freedoms stripped away, where did our hope lie then and where is it now?

I wholeheartedly agree when Sean said “a cold world needs the hot fire of bold believers” and pray this book will cause even more people to step out in BOLD LOVE.

This is a true, heartfelt account of how Sean was led by God to enter a new arena in his boldness and faith in leading worship meetings during the lockdowns of the Covid pandemic. He gives a thorough background of his life and ministry up to 2020, and then how God called him to become a missionary to hurting people in his own country. Truly inspiring, truthful, and eye opening. God called him to minister in many dangerous places right in the middle of turmoil and rioting in Portland and Seattle. God still leads Sean, his family, and his ministry to hold huge evangelical gatherings in places that would deter other groups of believers from gathering such as Washington DC, the steps of the Supreme Court, and other places in our nation where people are desperate, searching for meaning in life, and hungry to know God through his Son Jesus Christ!
This book shows Christians by example, that God has not given us a spirit of timidity to idlyly let evil take over our country but in faith to step up to voice our faith and what is right, moral, and Just!
Inspiring, biblically supported and a well written book. I highly recommend this book to all who are willing to be led by God to stand up for what is holy and righteous.

To call this book powerful would be...well, understated. I've followed Sean and his family through FB, Let Us Worship, Hold the Line podcasts, etc., and have been inspired by the all-out faith and courage in action since the beginning of the pandemic. When this book was made known, it was an easy decision, it was a must read.

The book is divided into BOLD chapters, from “Bold Faith” all the way to “Bold Hope”; from Sean's decision to go into the most locked down, lawless cities bringing praise and worship to hurting people, to experiencing exactly where our help comes from, every single time. Sean, his family and tribe's obedience brings us stunning stories. As we see the call of this world to hide in fear; Sean runs toward and into areas of great spiritual warfare and anarchy.

The words of Jesus in a sermon Sean prepared were the catalyst for his boldness, and can be for us too. Revelations 1:17 “When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though dead. Then he placed His right hand on me and said: Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.”

I hope you get a chance to read this compelling book. Of hearts turning from fear and pain to a God of redeeming love. BOLD....indeed.

Seems like almost everyone has had some kind of adversity they have had to stand up to these days. But you are given a choice in how you react to that adversity. Some choose to cower or give in and others choose to be Bold and courageous. It’s not easy to do and often puts you on the front lines for more. Sean puts it all out on the line and gives all the glory to God. He is raw and real in this book. It’s a great reminder of how we can all be bold and courageous even when odds are stacked against us.

I like that Sean used examples of Boldness in ALL aspects of his life. I love the stories of his family and mission work around the world. Very inspiring! Over the past year or two I’ve come across “Choose faith over fear” so many times. I couldn’t wait to read this book when I found out the title! It’s already helped me take a step out of my comfort zone and try something new.

"Bold: Moving Forward in Faith, Not Fear" is an awesome insight into the circumstances and callings that began the Let Us Worship movement across America. Sean encourages each reader to courageously step forward into their God given assignments despite adversity. He states, "In commissioning Joshua to lead His people, God stated bluntly, 'Moses my servant is dead.' (Joshua 1:2) When we talk about leadership, it's easy to look to the past for great leaders we wish were still with us to take us through the hard times we are experiencing now. In essence, though, what God was saying in that statement was, 'There's no going back. The time of Moses' leadership has passed. If you are going to take my people into the land I have promised them, it's going to be up to you." (pg 67) This book is such an encouragement and will leave you feeling hopeful and ready to be bold!!

Bold is a book buried in the dirt before the pandemic. It’s roots had been established and it’s stalk ready to break the earths surface. Like farmers, Sean, having experienced a personal drought, choose faith and found the harvest plentiful. Choosing to listening to the spirit, Sean, rushed in like a first responder of faith to the crisis of fear. In this book, Sean’s journey encourages me, “not with a courage absence of fear…” but recruits me to “…act boldly in the face of it..” drawing me to my “faith.. not denying circumstances, but overcoming them through wisdom, perseverance, and confidence that our God is in charge and His will will be done.” When you are confronted with fear, pick up this book!

Bold Moving Forward in Faith , Not Fear was a book I could not put down. I am so glad I read it. I felt encouraged, strengthened, and motivated to be the solution to this World's chaos. Numerous victories have been achieved by genuine true public worship and prayer which in turn will ignite the next generation. Bold is a must-read especially when we have moments of doubt and fear pressured by false news headline narratives, as it will put light into the darkness and reveal what God is truly doing in our nation.

Feucht is a grifting, bigoted christofascist. He pockets charity money to buy million dollar homes. He threatens to have critics murdered by Proud Boys. He pounces on any controversy so he can hawk shitty merch and enrich himself even further. This book is essentially encouraging political violence, as he literally describes democrats, liberals, leftists, the LGBTQ community, etc as “the enemy”. He claims he’s doing God’s work but at the end of the day he’s just another Klan member who took off the hood and grabbed a guitar.

Bold was for me a revelation! A heartfelt breath of fresh air for both my spirit and soul. A solid reminder during challenging times that Jesus is still Lord, and that despite persecution the church still exists, still believes and still loves within the United States of America! Bold is the perfect book for kids and grown ups alike! You'll find yourself not only inspired by the genuine authenticity of each and every page but also encouraging the next generation to stand strong for Jesus Christ and to move forward each and every day in faith and never fear!

Have you asked the question where is God at?

God is in the subtle yes we give Him on moment by moment choices. The God of the impossible can do the supernatural with your yes.

Be encouraged by reading Sean’s book. It is an easy quick read where you will walk away choosing to give God your yes.

Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened. —Billy Graham

This book uses the author's life experiences to argue for a bold approach to living a Christian life. Many of the experiences relate to the Covid lock-down and recent political unrest. This provides an insightful example of the secular left being intolerant to the Christian faith and its messages of love and boldness. Some forces need anger, fear, and hate to thrive; this author shows how followers of Christ are on a totally different track.

Refreshing, raw, captivating! Sean took Church out of buildings, beyond lockdowns & fears. Just what I was looking for. I attended the San Marcos event where many wanted out of same-sex attraction & gained their new identity in Christ & a huge rainbow appeared! Loved reading about the many other events. Didn't know Let Us Worship endured such hardship, but God came through faithfully. Good read for sure - get ignited! Looking forward to Superspreader movie.

I can’t recommend this book highly enough, I loved it. Such a captivating, powerful read about God moving in revival power in the face of all the protests, covid lockdowns, church shutdowns and deceptions of the past two years and getting the power of the gospel outside of the church. The chapter on worship really struck me as I never realized how powerful our worship can be in the battles of this world.

Fantastic book that speaks about where the church is currently at. About where the church should be at and how we need to be BOLD in our faith. It speaks to how the COVID crisis exposed the powerlessness of the church. Feucht was not content with this response and launched the Let Us Worship movement which continues to this day. Thousands have been saved through this movement. Totally amazing and only something God could do.

I have attended two of Sean's Let Us Worship events here in Colorado. I love his passion for Jesus and the church. Hearing more of his story, hearing about his overseas missions work in closed nations, gives me such a greater understanding of his deeply held convictions that we must worship God no matter what. While some would accuse him of being brash and even reckless, Sean is BOLD in his stand for Christ. He is not willing to compromise and he encourages us to do the same.
