He's back home to record the band's next album and looking for a soft place to fall after a devastating break-up. She runs the small town bookshop in Coral Canyon and needs a new boyfriend to get her old one out of her life for good. Can Georgia convince Otis to take another shot at real love when their first kiss was fake?
Otis Young tried the same dating app that led his younger brother to happily-ever-after. Too bad it didn't work out for him. He returns to Coral Canyon with his brothers as they prepare to record their next album, his heart in shreds and his plans for the future in tatters. All he knows is he needs the support of his family, and they've always welcomed him with open arms.
Georgia Beck owns the bookshop in downtown Coral Canyon, and she knows the Young family well. After all, one of her best friends is the librarian, and Abby just married Otis's brother, Tex. When her ex-boyfriend keeps coming round the shop, trying to get her back, she needs a convincing reason for him to leave her alone.
That reason is a new boyfriend, and the only person in the shop at the time is Otis Young. He's always keen to help a woman in distress, but he wasn't expecting a fake kiss to spark something very real inside his wounded heart.
The more he visits the bookshop - his daughter really loves to read - the more he and Georgia realize how much they have in common. Otis has a lot of healing to do, what with his daughter living with him full-time now and no rose-colored glasses in sight when it comes to finding a soulmate. Can Georgia show Otis that love can heal all wounds and convince the stand-offish cowboy that she won't hurt him?

I know that when I settle down with a book from this author, not only am I going to get a lovely, sweet romance, I’m going to be treated to an inspirational story of a whole family overcoming the obstacles set before them. I enjoyed seeing Otis discover a new love and I’m grateful the story didn’t take the turn I thought it would when we were first introduced to his daughter. I really like Georgia, but there were some instances where I just couldn’t put myself into a headspace similar enough to understand some of her reactions and decisions. In the last book, we got to catch up with the Hammond clan and this one added the Whittakers back into the mix. I adored having the opportunity to see where they all are now. The more we get to know the Young brothers, the more I want to see what it will take for each of them to find the Forevers they’re looking for. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
Sweet faith based love story - precious characters and quick read. I appreciate a story with references to prayer and Scripture. I know this is a LONG series with many books - YIKES (going on 10)! My OCD tells me I need to finish the series - once I start something I need to finish it…UGH! The hard part of this type of series is that there are so many characters that are being brought in to play that it loses the flow of the book and I’m wondering what that chapter was all about? And who is that - kind of thing? Kinda feels like the story is super interrupted if that makes sense. At the end of the book a whole new set of characters was brought in for a Fourth of July celebration and I think they come from a whole other set of book series this author has written so now I’m all upside down in it 😑 The only other part that I’m bummed about is that all of these Young Brothers are divorced and have children…nothing wrong with that but ALL of them? And why did the mothers all have to be so negatively written - like abandoning or neglecting their kids…that was hard to get on board with for me - for a faith based book series I think that maybe could’ve been thought thru differently.🤷🏼♀️
A cowboy musician finds love with the local bookstore owner for a second time.
Loved being back with the Young brothers again. Otis and Georgia story was a love at first sight for both of them. Otis became Georgia hero and protector. Georgia became the one who soothed Otis broken heart. She also was the mother figure to his little daughter Joey who adored her. Georgia always shuttered herself in some things and Otis always tried to bring her out of it. She fit in well with the Young brothers they all loved her. Otis brothers all gave him good advice and were always there to help along with his folks. Both he and Georgia had things to work through. But it was dynamite when they finally told each other how much they loved and wanted to be the together for the rest of their lives. Enjoyed getting a little more insight into each one of the Young brothers in this story. Looking forward to their stories plus Bryce story. Also enjoyed getting a glimpse into the Hammond and Whittaker lives too. I enjoyed their series too. All the Young mens kids were all sweet looking forward to seeing them all grow up in this series. I was so happy for Maverick and Dani and their new little one Lars John Young. Little Joelle Otis daughter was a real sweetie she loved all her family. So sorry to her real mom Lauren had an awful disease. Leighann and Morris story is next hope all goes well there along with all rest of the brothers.
This is a definite 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Both great main characters, I find him to be a sensitive soul (plus mmmm, yeah I Love Cowboys) and she’s intriguing I think, also a soft soul who has a need to help fuzzy creatures 🐱🐶🐰🐴🦜 ❤️🦘love the nickname “Roo”🦘❤️ (And honestly, I liked this one even more as I didn’t feel like the religion/prayers -being preached at-etc wasn’t too much this time, just regular..lol) 📖Like that there’s chapters for other characters too👍👍
🩵My favs: 😆 “By the Dewey Decimal System,” Abby said, her voice shocked and full of air. “Georgia. Why didn’t you tell me?” “Because,” Georgia said. “Then you’d start swearing in Librarian language instead of helping me figure out what to do.”😆
🐈⬛ “I got a new kitten last night.” “Georgia,” Abby said, and she was judging her this time. “You don’t have time to take care of a kitten.” Georgia went over to the box where she kept the tiny black and white thing. “It’s fine,” she said as she picked it up. “Even Ruby likes him. Wouldn’t leave his side.” “Ruby would help a serial killer hide the bodies,” Abby said dryly. Georgia burst out laughing, and Abby joined in with her giggles.”🐈⬛
I enjoyed the story. I liked that all of the characters had real issues a reader could relate to and understand. I really liked the sense of family with brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews, and SO's all spending time together.
This story about Otis and Georgia was a sweet romance. I felt badly for Otis because he felt like he wasn't enough. Just goes to show you that all the fame and money in the world is sometimes not enough to heal those deep seated insecurities and issues.
My only issue with this book was when the Hammond's, Whittaker's, and Everly's clans came into play. I am not talented enough to keep track of all of those relationships. I was proud of myself for keeping track of the Young Brothers, their kids, and SO's. All those other people were way too much, (even after reading their series') so I admit, I stopped trying to keep track of the relationships.
One thing I have to say is that Liz Isaacson packs a huge amount of information into each story, and this one was no different.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I totally loved this book as well as the Young Brothers! They fuss, disagree, but they're loyal to come together and defend as well as support each other. Otis was a fun character to learn about. Ms. Isaacson's descriptions and writing bring to life the personalities of each character she incorporates in the story! Otis was a famous country band singer and song writer but humble and so down to earth! And how he loved his little girl. He's starting to settle down and put down roots in Coral Canyon. Now that he has custody of his daughter full time, and bought a house, all he needs is a soulmate to make his family complete! Georgia "helps" Otis along in the romance department as well as being a full-time father. And what a great combination! I also enjoyed updates on the other Young brothers as well as reacquainting myself with the Hammonds and folks at Whiskey Mountain Lodge. Looking forward to reading more in the next book! I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review.
Another great story in Coral Canyon. Otis, although he is a successful song writer and country music star, has a hard time seeing himself the way others see him. He is a divorced father of a girl who loves books. While visiting the local book store, he meets Georgia Beck, the owner, in a most unusual way. He can't get her out of his mind and they eventually start dating. There are some rough spots as they work through both of their insecurities, but they do work through them. I love the Young family and their love for each other. They are loud, and don't always agree. There are fights as each one has strong opinions, but they love and support each other through tough times with strong faith. I also loved seeing the Whittakers, and Hammonds, and even Wyatt Walker. This is a great series. Can't wait to read Morris's story.
Can Otis win Georgia's ❤️ and a Stepmother for his Daughter?
In "Otis: A Young Brothers Novel (Coral Canyon Cowboys Book 2)", master Storyteller, Liz Isaacson, creates another Engrossing, Poignant, Western, Christian Romance 💎. The hero is a talented, Country Western, Songwriter/Instrumentalist, with a young Daughter who loves to 📖 . The heroine is a single, Bookstore Owner. Mix them together with life's complications, & they both find they need God's help to get to their Lifetime 💞. It also helps that the heroine's Best Friend recently married the hero's Brother.
You can be very talented, or put together on the outside, but still suffer from low self esteem. I ❤️ LI's careful look at self image, in this 📗. I Highly Recommend You 📖 this Inspirational, Entertaining Story! ❤️📖 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I look forward to new books by Liz Isaacson and this series has met my expectations. It is good to be in Coral Canyon and not only to meet with the Young family but also old friends of the Hammonds, Whitakers and Everetts. It is like being part of an extended family and I love it. I think the Young family might have the most complicated relationships of any of the families. I love how no matter how different they might be the brothers are there for each other. They might not understand each other but they love each one. I love the relationship each brother has with their children and how responsible and involved they are. Otis is particularly a good father and an excellent ex-husband. He and Georgia are truly meant for each other. I am waiting on pins and needles for Morris’s story, it looks to be compelling.
Otis is the second in A Young Brothers Novel, Coral Canyon Cowboys. . This is a family saga as it deals with all of the 9 brothers lives. It does revolve around Otis and Country Quad. Otis met a beautiful woman in town about a year ago and in the last few months started to actually dating her. They have all the problems that go along with a job that requires you to work long hours and to have to travel for that job. Georgia talks to her friend Abby married to brother Tex, Dani married to brother Mav and sees how they handle their lives. She wants to be a Young wife and step mother to Joey. But, can Georgia deal with the life of Otis and Country Quad?
I received a ARC copy and have given my honest review. 5 stars
I honestly love these characters from Coral Canyon!. Liz has made them so real to me that even though there are a ton of them - I mean, Otis has 8 brothers alone! - I can remember all their names and the ones of their significant or potential significant others. When I first read (in Book 1 of the series) about Georgia pulling Otis into her office and making him kiss her, I wanted to read their story. And boy was I NOT disappointed. I don't want to give anything away, but rest assured, you'll be turning the pages late into the night and wishing you had more time to read in the day.
It's also great that we get chapters from some of the other brothers too. Now I can't wait to read Morris and Leighann's story. Highly recommended.
I bought the Coral Canyon which had 4 stories of the Young brothers.
I love how Otis is such a star but also so down to earth. He loves his family, daughter, ex-wife and just wants a woman in his life that will love him back. The story starts out with him being ghosted which just breaks your heart. He decides that he will put his heart under a lock and throw away the key. Love Joey, his daughter, she is so mature for her age and so sweet. She has a great love of books and everything mystical and magic. A girl after my own heart.
Georgia is one strong woman who seems to always end up with the wrong guy. She has a lot of things that she is dealing with and not doing a great job of it. It is great seeing how Otis and her end up in the same place at the right time.
Otis first met Georgia when he went to her bookshop to buy a book for his seven year old daughter, Joey, and ended up with her kissing him to get an ex off her back. He keeps pop'ping into the shop to see her but she's not always around and then she starts going out with someone else. He's busy looking after his daughter as his ex-wife is now ill and can't cope. He's thinking about the band and whether he wants to keep playing and touring. Georgia was very taken with Otis but feels that he's out of her league. Can they make a go of it? Will the timing ever be right? I got a free copy from Prolific Works and am voluntarily leaving a review. A good read in the series from Liz.
Fun characters and clean storyline. Otis is in a singer-song writer with his brothers and a single dad to his daughter Joey. His ex wife’s health is not good so he needs to move closer to her. Georgia owns a book store and last summer had pulled Otis into her office and kissed him pretending they were in a relationship to get rid of her ex. Months later when she faints in her store, Otis is there to rescue her. They’ve both been hurt in the past, can they find happiness together? This book is called Otis but the other brothers play a big part in it too. *I received this book for free for my unbiased review.
Georgia owns the bookstore in town where Otis buys books for his five year old daughter, Joey. When her ex boyfriend won’t leave her alone, she grabs him a lays one on him, which he still hasn’t forgotten in six months. When he goes into the store to get a birthday gift for Joey, he finds her passed out on the floor. The beginning of the end. They are both pretty guarded due to old relationship baggage. Will they get past it for a chance of love and becoming a family? This is a great story about another singing Young brother. The thread that runs through all of these family sagas is the love of family. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
Return to Coral Canyon! The Young brothers are great! This is Otis and Georgia’s love story. Both have strengths, weaknesses and insecurities but together they can face anything! You will love watching all of single dads as they navigate careers and being there for the children. There are wonderful interactions between the Young brothers and it was great to catch up with the Hammond’s that live in Coral Canyon. These characters are more mature and seek God’s guidance in their lives. I can’t wait to read the stories of the other brothers! Don’t miss this new clean, inspirational romance series from Liz Isaacson!
As always, Liz has put out another amazing series. The thing I love about this book is that it talks about several people who are involved with the Young brothers. All of them have very different stories and who have come and gone from their lives.
Of course, the main thing about each brother is that they all find love for the first time or again.
I look forward to the next book with Morris, finding out he has a three year old son. This is going to be good.
All of you book lovers, don't stop reading the best genre there is: love and romance. Enjoy and happy reading!
Oh my goodness!! I couldn’t put this book down! As we follow each of the brothers in this series, each book gets even better! I love that there are glimpses into 2 other brothers and it makes me wonder which book is next! Great way to keep the reader’s interest. The main characters in this book, Otis and Georgia are both working through family issues as well as life issues. They each have strengths and weaknesses that make a relationship interesting! You won’t want to miss this book! I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
The Young brothers are all struggling but hoping for someone to spend their lives with. This series is very well written with believable characters that become your friends. This love story has highs and lows and will have you cheering, groaning and fist pumping! There are 9 brothers and I can’t wait to read the next book. I’ve read other series by this author and every time I pick a favorite she has a new series and hits it out of the park! Yes, Coral Canyon is now top in my list!
I would have enjoyed this book more if it had been more about Otis and Georgia but their story took up only a small part of the book. Otis has 8 brothers and the book often had chapters about their lives that had nothing to do with Otis. Also, I felt like I started in the middle of the story and could never catch up or know who these characters were. From other reviewers it sounds like previous series are intertwined in this storyline so maybe if I had read the other series it would have made more sense.
This is the second book in this series I have read. As much as I have enjoyed the characters and their stories, I can't not mention that the constant skipping from character to character without a good lead in is confusing and very distracting to the storyline I am reading. Ms. Isaacson suddenly jumps from a story to a completely different group and then just drops it and returns to the original. It detracts from the enjoyment of her very good story and writing.
I LOVE Otis! I would so marry him. He is so thoughtful and caring. I love getting to know him more and his story. I enjoyed his story so much and I can't wait to read about his other brothers. I enjoyed watching his relationship with Georgia and how he helped her in so many ways. I liked his relationship with his daughter and how his brothers are so willing to help each other out. This family has so much talent but I love how they are not perfect.
A clean, sweet romance by Liz Isaacson. The second book in the Coral Canyon series. Georgia needed help with a problem ex boyfriend. She enlisted help from Otis Young. Otis now has custody of his daughter Joey and spends most of his time with her when he and his brothers are not recording. Was sweet how Otis took care of Georgia when she fainted. Great book and we'll worth the read.
I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntar
Great new series about a band of brothers who are primarily in a country music band and in the rodeo. Otis has become a single father and primary caretaker of his daughter. His ex is suffering from Lupus. He meets and falls for a local book store owner. As with most romance books, there are ups and downs in their relationship. I enjoyed meeting all the brother's characters and their families and look forward to future books.
Liz Isaacson is really good at writing a series about a big family that just draws you in and makes you want to become one of them. These characters are just so real with every day problems and insecurities that you feel you know them. She's done it again with this series. I loved Otis and Georgia's story. These two are so good together. A captivating read that left me with a smile.
Otis and Georgia have a wonderful story. Otis has a daughter who loves to read and Georgia has a book store. He helped her get rid of a stalker type ex boyfriend while visiting the store for a gift for his daughter. Then he helped again when she passed out and he was the only person in the store. They become closer over the next months. What happens when Otis has to leave?
Another terrific book from one of my favorite authors! She writes family stories like no other! Coming from a six kid family myself, I love how all the characters are woven together. You may be reading about one specific character, but the whole family makes appearances and characters from other series show up too! Because what family lives in a vacuum? No, we all live in our world along with everyone else! Great story, great read!
This is a fantastic addition to this incredible series. Out of the young brothers this is Otis’s story and it’s a wonderful read. Thrown in a cute bookshop owner, Georgia a disgruntled ex boyfriend who won’t go away and a little girl who loves to read and you have a story you cannot put down. Emotional, sweet with some drama and a whole lotta family whom I am falling in love with and cannot wait to read more from them.
Otis Young is a country music star. He writes and sings with his brothers,The Country Quad. All the Young brothers are looking for someone to spend their lives with. Georgia Beck kissed Otis a year ago and he hasn't forgotten the kiss. She runs the Beck Book store in town. He has a daughter Joey who is turning five. This is a good clean well written story. I highly recommend reading this book and meet the whole Young family. I received an ARC of this book .
I love that the characters in this book are Christians!! They pray during everyday as they go through their lives. I am the same way in my life. I put everything in God's hands and trust in his mighty presence to guide me in the right direction.
This book and the first one (Tex) have entertaining lives with a little romance thrown in. I am sure that I will read the whole series.
