Reba Bale loves writing naughty stories where the characters are able to tap into their inner fantasies and experience spanking, bondage, humiliation, or other activities on the non-vanilla side of life.
When Reba is not writing she's reading the same naughty stories she likes to write.

Just feel like, 'My BFF's Sister would have been better written as a full novel, verse writing it to fit into a 46 page short story. Like both Alice and Jewel, her sister Myra adds a twist to the story and even created a series on the two.

Never hurts to ask! Jewel is back from a tour in the Peace Corps. She has not come out to her family yet, and she's dreading the 'drama'. She crushed on her older sister, Maya's best friend, Alice when she was younger. She saw Alice in a bar her first outing home. She was happy, Alice recognized her. She looked forward to getting to know Alice again. Alice, got to get reacquainted with the adult, new and improved Jewel. Can Alice accept a relationship with her bf's younger sister? Is the age gap, a thing? Does Jewel find the courage to come out to her family? Is Maya accepting? Great story. Nicely developed, excellent characters. Well done! This was a good start, and I wish it were longer. There are far too few F/F romances on the market that have interesting characters, good pacing, and a sizzling chemistry between two women. Jewel and Alice are the perfect couple. Jewel is finally ready to come out. Alice gets to see that maybe love was closer than she thought. Will the minor age gap cause a problem? Will Jewel's family accept her coming out just as they accepted Alice as the "out" friend of their daughter Maya? Will this end in heartache or a happily ever after? I enjoyed everything except for the length: this would be even better as a full length novel.

Cute short story about two women, Jewel and Alice. It's unclear who's the main character. The chapters alternate perspective. It starts with Jewel and ends with Alice. The My is Alice. The BFF is Alice's friend Maya. The sister is Jewel (Maya is her older sister).
There are some typos, and the story could have been longer. Things fell into place too easily. The "drama" centered around how Maya would react to her best friend dating her little sister as well as their mom's reaction to Jewel coming out. Both were resolved pretty quickly. Also, Jewel is tattooed (personal turn-off), but it's brought up in the first chapter and never again. The Goodreads cover is different than the Amazon cover. I prefer the Goodreads cover.
Overall, good story but could have used some fleshing out.
This was pretty good for its length, about 30 pages. I couldn’t quite get over the declarations of love after about two weeks, even though I recognize that it’s kind of required to fit into a story this size? But there was a lot packed in here, in a good way. From meeting and establishing a relationship to a nice outing and then two separate conversations with family and ultimately an epilogue HEA… it had to move quickly but all the same it felt like a lot of story including some obstacles all in a small space, and Jewel and Alice were fun together.
I like the concept. I even like the characters. It just felt rushed though. More like a concept, an idea, than an actual book. So while I enjoyed it, it didn’t do enough.
The plot kind of just fell into place with very little tension, and every fell flat. The conflict lasted for about half a paragraph, before it was quickly resolved. I’d love to read this, if it is ever fully fleshed out.
My BFF's Sister follows the rapidly deepening friendship between Alice and her best friend’s younger sister Jewel. After a surprise encounter and catch-up at a bar the couple move quickly into dating, light BDSM and ultimately a committed relationship. This is a quick read with little angst and a happy ending.
3 stars. I do love the best friend’s sister trope so this was fun. Much better than the first one. Jewel and Alice had great chemistry and the smut was really hot. There was also a bit more depth here which was nice to see. I liked it.
Jewel has always had a crush on Alice and now that she's back in town she plans on pursuing what she wants. Alice now sees Jewel as a grown up woman and she is finding it hard to resist her. I love a sexy age gap story.
If you like hot dominant women, this is the read for you. I love the idea of learning how to make my wife happy with the skills I learn from these books. Keep it up Reba.
Jewel returning from the Peace Corp in Africa knew what she wanted!
Alice and Jewels sister Maya have been friends for awhile and Jewel seven years younger knew even then that Alice was for her. Now Jewel has to convince her family! Enjoy!
Reba is the queen of a quick and torrid love story! Spine tingling and sweet, how does she do that? Coming out to your parents can be beautiful or really really bad, glad this one was easy.
The little plot there was in this story was centered around low-level BDSM. The two protagonists click immediately upon meeting, so there really isn't any issue.
This was short, straight(hah) to the point, spicy, and well done for what it was trying to do. In terms of plotline, there wasn't really much, but I don't think they were really going for that. If your looking for a spicy bite-sized bit of fun with zero-angst, then this is a great choice.
I don't expect much for 60 pages (is that a novella or a short story?), and this didn't disappoint or particularly blow me away. I think this would make a good candidate for being a full novel and it could be a very good one if the author built upon what's already there.
