Monsters Love Curvy Girls #7

His Human Socialite

Rate this book
I’ve been set up on a blind date with a Hyrrokin named Idun Grindstone?

Noooo. This will never work!

How can a human who is set to gain a significant inheritance have anything in common with a foul-mouthed, satanic-looking security specialist? Smoke regularly wafts out of this guy’s nostrils and his shiny barbed tail juts out in the air behind him as he prowls across the military hanger. But…I’m enchanted with Idun’s deep voice, his massive bare chest and (swoon) those epic thighs. This Hyrrokin is a handsome red devil and oh so touchable. And I want my tongue in his mouth, immediately.

Unfortunately, Idun thinks I’m a spoiled, irresponsible party girl and he wants nothing to do with me.

*eye roll*

Party girl? He must have me confused with my evil twin sister.

And then I’m kidnapped by the Hyrrokin mafia and held for ransom. When Idun finds out, he activates his team at Molten Lava Security and all hell breaks loose. And that’s when I discover how much this fiery ex-soldier really cares about me—despite his protestations. Ha!

Felt a bit rushed, but a good plot and I was glad it wasn't overly repetitious

*sigh* Dear authors - do better!

I was pleased to see that the main female character of this installment is a PoC. Then we meet her potential mate:

I'm well-known for my particularly "rough-hewn" tribal characteristics...

My ancestors came from the wildland tribes and our features lack the refinement of city dwellers. We are known for our intimidating fangs and our slightly barbaric use of the Hyrrokin language. My barbed tail is sharp and the ridges on my forehead are a deep midnight black. I am proud of these tribal attributes.

Why? What is this microaggressive BS!?! None of the other characters were described in this manner - none!

Secondly, why is she attracted to someone who treated her with so much contempt, calls her a liar, and then thinks handcuffing her to get her to stay with him is "Okay"!?!

This could have been a fun and exciting story (although the romantic portion was incredibly rushed and baffling). I was all set to read the other series from the beginning so as to get to book four and follow up with her sister. But this entry has given me pause.

Is it wise/safe to continue?

Not Their Best Work

I have read all the book in this series and I love the world building and the romance. However, this latest book read like the writer wrote it 5 minutes before it was due. The details were too rushed, the writer would explain screen quickly without letting anything build slowly or even a natural pace. She saved conflicts by simple narrating the proble was over. Overall it was quite a mess. The writer even went on so weird albeit confusing diatribe about inherited wealth that was made by ancestors in immoral. Don't get me wrong, the ways the ancestors made their money was wrong, the writer's delivery of the all over the place with no point, nor making clear which side of the argument she made she was actually on.

All in all I love the work this story takes place, but this book did not meet the same quality as the other books.

My first and last read from this author.

He treated her like garbage.

Was this relationship dynamic supposed to be sweet? Him, constantly belittling and judging Jada, kissing and feeling her up, then going back to the verbal insults? Jada pretending to be "tough" and insisting she won't take his abuse, and then desperately begging for his attention and affection on the next breath? Yuck.

Do Black heroines better. Hero's should not treat them like filth in what is supposed to be a romantic story. If that's the kind of story it's going to be, then make it notably a toxic relationship as the set up for the story. It was clearly written as if this was all romantic though. Because abusing Black women is cute or whatevah.

Also, the kidnapping was very anticlimactic. There was no fights or action, just pretty casual talking and then she was let go. Huh? Idle chit-chat, and that's it?

There was some good storytelling, though. The attraction and chemistry building was well done. But Idun was trash. Traumatic pasts don't excuse present behavior. And he hardly even said sorry....yet she eagerly yearns and leaps into his bed?? Ha. no.

My least favourite of the series

Overall I've really like the series, but this relationship made me cringe. There was never a tipping point where I felt like Idun was redeemed, wanting to shackle her all the way to the courthouse because he still found it hard to the trust her.

This was a very great story! Idun and Jada had an instant attraction but their past and secrets threatened to derail any chance of a HEA. Idun is carrying relationship baggage and unfortunately for Jada, she can’t pick her family. Thankfully these two manage to hold onto the hope, anticipation and desire to be with one another when the odds are stacked against them. Idun was at times exhausting with his inability/refusal to get over his past but I gave him some leeway considering a significant event in his youth scarred him, it’s understandable that he’s not going to be completely unaffected. Overall this was a book that I finished in less than one day.

This is another fun curvy girl romance that's both sweet and steamy. These two don't have a perfectly smooth time of things, though, and that kept me glued to my reader to see how things would unfold. Good fun!

This book had a lot of miss communication sprinkled throughout it, which wasn't my personal favorite in this series, but I enjoyed watching them grow from it!.

This was rushed. I enjoy a quick read, but this was to quick. Our hero was nice then he treated our heroine poorly, but he can’t stay away; because he’s attracted to her. She falls on first site. Then we get some conflict, but the author goes on a writing tangent and it’s all ok.

What about the twin sister? That never gets answered, but she mentioned in the epilogue which takes place a year later.

Eh. Ok.

His Human Socialite is the story of Idun and Jada Grindstone former Williams.

Tropes:
Heroine in trouble x military trooper/security personal
HEA and kids, a son and another on the way
Insta attraction
TW's: abortion (not by FMC)
Hot burly misconstrued hyrrokin military muscular hero
Intelligent shy gets her own way and not afraid to speak her mind innocent heroine
Touch her and you die
Mild obsession

She and her twin are being chased around by her dad and she gets a 10 day visa on Tarvos to visit her cousin Ariana who is Skoll's bound. Her and her sister Aliyah were seperated when she escaped her father's confinement of marriage and she left Jada to escape and eventually after much trying escaped to Salos to a nunnery on her own to which her sister laughs at in denial due to her sister being a party girl and her being a shy book loving volunteer at a animal shelter. Moving on, she is pounding on the gates of the community and isn't allowed in because she was not announced and so Idun sees this and he vouches for her and its like fireworks for this man, he's holding her hand, caressing her hand and speaking softly which is uncalled for because he is normally a grunt response kinda guy. But when she asks for Fenfir and Idun to set up a task force to find her sister they tell her its expensive and she says she has money and that she's an heiress and Idun is turned off quickly by that is Jada is left swindled as to why he ran away with no explanation. His reaction like that was due to when he was a young boy and mind you he is the son of the head gardener for some fire baron who's daughter he fell in love with and she made him get her pregnant for her to terminate it days later for currency and a rich husband and him and his father are fired and kicked out and it made him think of all rich people like that. Moving on, Ariana gets the connection between them and sets them up at a restaurant and he clearly is prejudiced and she storms off at his stereotypical comments and he takes her home and they kissed but he runs away again to headquarters and he tells everyone the whole story between the baron's daughter and him and they all offer their condolences. Moving on, he is parked outside her house when she is kidnapped by some mafia prince thinking she is his bound but she isn't and she is actually next door to Skoll's house where she was staying when she got taken and Idun comes to her rescue finding her by scent only and takes her to his cabin for the tango and that same day they talk things out and go to the courthouse and he makes her his bound. He also reveals that the baron's daughter is now a duke's wife and has 2 sons and wants him back to which Jada retorts with jealousy and asks him to block her to which he already did. A year and some later they have a son and another on the way and he gives her a ring and so does she to bring it all together which is beautiful. This book could've been a lot shorter with a lot more communication but it was all good.

Solid 3.75/5

Jada and her twin sister come from very rich and powerful families. Her mother's side is old money which came from collaborating with the aliens who invaded Earth. Her father's side was a powerful mafia family. When her father got more involved with the mafia and more demanding and abusive, their mother took the 8 year old twins and returned to her family. The twins never saw their father again until after their mother died. Their father had them kidnapped and arranged marriages for them with rival mafia families. The twins decide to escape and visit their cousin on Hyrrokin. Her father's men arrive just as they were supposed to transport out so Jada's twin sent her on alone. Jada tries to rush to her cousins house to ask for help finding her sister but the gate keeper of her sister's housing community won't let her in. Luckily a hot Hyrrokin named Idun on security stops to investigate. He takes responsibility for bringing Jade to her cousin. Jade is very attracted to Idun and feels that the attraction is mutual. Then Idun finds out about her wealthy background and turns cold instantly. Jada's head and heart are spinning.

Idun had a bad experience with a wealthy family as a young man. His family worked as valued servants to a noble family. Idun grew up with the daughter of that family and fell in love. When she got pregnant, they decided that Idun would join the military and she would move with him to the base and they would formally bound. The day they were supposed to leave, her family comes pounding on his family door. They gave their daughter the choice between being disowned and losing her money and title to be with him or to get rid of the child and never see Idun again. She picked her wealth so Idun can't trust a woman from a wealthy family. Then he meets Jada and is instantly attracted to her. He wants to claim her as a pleasure mate until he learns that she was a socialite at home. He would like to totally forget about the feelings he first had and treat her like she is just a client. However just being around her drags out feelings he doesn't want to admit.

This is an OK sci-fi alien romance, but it was not as good as some of the other books in the series. I had some issues with the H's behavior. It gets 2.5 stars from me, rounded up to 3 stars.

First, it was too short to have as much character development as I like. I would have liked a little more backstory on both Idun and Jada.

Jada was likable enough, but it annoyed me that she was so attracted to Idun, even after he treated her so badly. Because her family had money, he automatically assumed she was a spoiled rich girl -- just like his ex, who had hurt him badly years before. Yet Jada was still attracted to him? I didn't buy that at all.

Idun was really hard to like. He assumed that Jada would be just as bad as his ex, simply because her family had money. He didn't even try to get to know her -- just immediately started treating her badly.

I liked that curvy girls were considered beautiful in Idun's world, since everyone on his planet was much larger than any human. I also liked that most of the people were openly welcoming to other races, and were fascinated with humans.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Wonderful read love, trauma and a soldier that has lived with broken heart for 12 years

Jada was desperate to see her cousin and her husband to see if they could help her to locate her missing twin sister who had been left behind at the transport pad as they had been running to escape their Mafia father and the plans, he had in place to marry them off to improve his leverage.

Idun Grindstone is drawn to the panicked female he can see trying to gain entrance to the main domiciles of the human and Hyrokins that lived together with their families. Her smell attracted him and he felt drawn to her and the need to protect and help her was overwhelming in him.

Jada had never felt such an instant attraction to a male before and she had thought he felt the same until she mentioned that she was not from a poor family and then his attitude changed completely, he had become distant and rude implying that she was a lazy socialite that never worked and thought only of spending money and having a good time.

As her life is threatened by her father who has sent the Hyrokin Mafia to recover both her and her kissing twin sister Aliyah Idun is finding it harder to keep his feelings and emotions in check. It seems that Jada is sweet and kind, she divulges that she runs an animal shelter and has worked to help homeless since she was a teenager, Idrun is forced to re-access his opinions.

This is a wonderful read that you will not be able to put down until you reach the end of the book, if you are like me, you will read it in one sitting.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Liked it

A short, light, & fun sci-fi romance where insta-lust / love overcomes the obstacle of a past bad experience to get to the steamy bits. The heroine, ~23-year-old Jada Garcia now Williams, is the shy & quiet twin. The hero, ~30-year-old Idun Grindstone, is a former military man and member of the Molten Lava Security team (featured in previous books in the series). In her time of need he steps up to help her and there is instant attraction. However, as soon as he learns she has money he disappears unable to see she's different from the rich woman in his past.

Overall I enjoyed this written form of cotton candy - sweet & light. Also of note, Skoll Strikestone and his bound Ariana Gonzalez from His Human Organizer play a supporting role in this book, but not necessary to read that one beforehand. Fenrir of Molten Lava also plays supporting role - may see in future books.

*****Spoiler Alert*****
This Book Includes
Violence.
Heroine & sister on the run from their mafia father, near-capture, kidnapping by quick drugging - bound but not hurt, fist & flame fight between males.
Sex. Virgin heroine, MF sex, handcuffing - not sexual, reference to previous woman aborting his child, unplanned pregnancy.

Jada and Idun . . .

Jada and Idun are not necessarily the perfect pair to start a relationship. Jada’s Mafia father is trying to force her to marry an undesirable old creep and she is on the run. And Idun had been hurt in the past by a wealthy heiress and is afraid to fall in love again. But seeing Jada, he has mixed feelings, both wanting her and needing to avoid her so that history won’t repeat itself and get him hurt.

Idun Grindstone is a Hyrrokin working for Molten Lava security. So when Jada gets kidnapped, Idun gets his team together and makes a rescue attempt. They can’t seem to find her, yet he knows she is near. They are not bound, he did not claim her, and he should not be feeling such a bond with her. So he takes over the search on his own, following his instincts. He feels guilty that she was taken on his watch. She should have been safe. He follows her scent and is confused it leads to a respected doctor’s home.

Jada wakes, tied up on the floor and leaning against a pantry wall. A Hyrrokin had pressed a hypo spray on her neck and carried her here. They are waiting for a Prince who scented a human he wants and she may be the one. So they are holding her here until he arrives. She believes the Prince must be the heir to the entire Hyrrokin mafia. And when he arrives, he says she is not the one he is trying to find. Instead, Idun crashes through the back door and tells the Prince that Jada is his and he is taking her with him. Will that be enough to convince her she has won his heart?

This romance has it all - heiress twin, a smoking hot security specialist and mafia family intrigue with a guaranteed HEA.

What makes it distinctive is its setting - the planet of Tarvos, the Hyrrokin home world.
Humans consider Hyrrokin features to be the stuff of nightmares; they are known for intimidating fangs, barbed tails, forehead ridges, black horns and a red hued skin tone. Essentially they look like the human’s version of the devil.

Jada, a rich human heiress, flees to Tarvos to visit her cousin. Her identical twin was supposed to be traveling with her but they became separated en route. Her twin is now missing. Jada enlists the help of Molten Lava, a Hyrrokin security firm of some renown.

Idun Grindstone from Molten Lava tries to help Jada find her twin. He is instantly attracted to the petite and curvy human. Unfortunately he also has the impression that Jada is just a spoiled rich socialite. That couldn’t be farther from the truth.

The sparks fly between Idun and Jada romantically while trading prizewinning verbal jabs. Many twists and turns occur in the search for Jada’s twin while avoiding the Hyrrokin mafia pursuing them at the same time. There some seriously steamy scenes that won’t disappoint, but are definitely NSFW.

You will have a “devil” of a good time reading about this Hyrrokin-Human romance. I highly recommend this book.

Not my favourite of the series...wish I'd skipped it

We all know that many of these characters have baggage. That's part of what makes the HEA so sweet. THIS story, however, has so much baggage there's nowhere left to sit.

It really needs a warning about a prior pregnancy termination. The MMC's first love when they were very young toyed with him to get back at her parents. When threatened with being disowned and penniless, she changed her plan to become his bound--immediately terminated the pregnancy she was carrying, rejected him, and became the bound of someone else her parents approved of. The MMC carries tremendous trauma from this experience, and it affects everything else he does.

There is no resolution; in fact, near the end of the story the female from his past reaches out to him to try and rekindle a physical relationship (she's unhappily bound with two offspring.) He merely blocks her messages, and tells the FMC after the fact when she insists he block the female from further contact. I think this all could have been handled/resolved in a healthier manner. Ignoring trauma doesn't make it go away, nor does it eliminate its power to continue to do more harm.

There were so many levels of unhealthy behavior in all directions, I did not end up enjoying this story--as it seems improbable there ever COULD actually be a HEA with all of the past crap flying around...as well as current behavior perhaps not being much more stable. 😕

This was an enjoyable book and the characters and there antics had me loving them so much more. Jada and her sister Aliyah are set to gain a huge inheritance and her mafia father wants to force her to marry one of his goons so they decide to travel to Tarvos to get away from him but they get separated and now she is missing and needs to help of Molten Lava security and when she meets the sexy hot devil himself Idun Grindstone who is rude and arrogant as well but why do I want to jump his bones. Idun Grindstone is an Hyrrokin warrior and owns the Molten Lava security and is hear to meet Jada a rich socialite and party girl who’s sister is missing and even though she is gorgeous and sexy he knows she is trouble just like his rich ex girlfriend but dam she drives him crazy with desire. Now Jada has been kidnapped by the Hyrrokin mafia and Idun activates his team to find and save the human that has taken up space in his mind. How does it all turn out between our two main characters can one leave the past behind and have a future with someone he was so wrong about and judged poorly and can she break down his walls and be what he needs. There is so much more to this book with twists and turns, intrigue, kidnapping, Ransom, action and in the end love. Great book.

Jada is running for her life. She has not had the easiest one either despite being surrounded by wealth. Being rich does not mean that you are exempt from bad things happening but it does tend to make people distinctly less empathetic towards you. Money always ends up being the sore point, that you cannot possibly have truly suffered if there was money around. Money does tend to bring in the wrong people and this is what Jada and her twin sister, Aliyah, were trying to escape from along with arranged marriages. Though they started out on the escape together Jada is now on the planet on her own and has no idea what has befallen her sister. Idun is instantly drawn to the sweet human female pretty much as soon as he sees her. He just wants to protect her, look after her and he can't seem to get close enough to her. That is until he finds out that she comes from a wealthy background. No matter the circumstances, all people like that are the same. He refuses to accept that she could be more to him as he is not going down that same path again. Her actions could tell a different story but he is not willing to give it chance. That is until it might actually be too late. Will he get there in time and can things be different this time round?

I'm a little torn on this book because I'm not the biggest fan of organized crime/mafia story lines and we had that coming at us from two angles. Jada's father (who will 100% never win a father of the year award) has little crime syndicate setup going on and then Jada is kidnapped by the Hyrrokin mafia. Except...the Hyrrokin mafia was pretty mellow when it came down to it. They delivered a light order of kidnapping and a little sniffing. Which sounds weird, but there you go.

Anyway. Kinda of torn because I liked Idun (grumps who get all besotted are always fun, BUT he did jump to some pretty quick conclusions about Jada and that wasn't cool) and I like the rest of the Molten Lava team. Jada's situation was a little OTT (probably because I'm still working my head around the organized crime portion of the story) and her sister is not nearly as evil as everyone is making her out to be.

Pregnant bellies (and soon to be babies!), kittens, a really poorly thought out setup for a blind date, a surly hero who lets the past nearly mess everything up for him, and a lady who's on the run. Here's to more surly grumps and the ladies who entangle them.

Another winner !!!

This was an ok read for me .
Jada and Idun were at odds from the very beginning. Mostly because of a very bad experience for him, and that clouded his judgement of all females. But Jada was somehow different, and even though he already had her pegged as a socialite, he could not help how much he felt towards her.
Jada is on the run from her mafia father in order to escape an arranged marriage. Jada and her twin , Aliyah ,end up separated and Jada finds herself at their final destination without her twin. Her cousin Ariana, is married to a male on Tarvos. Her and her bound Skoll welcome Jada with open arms, and after discovering that Aliyah didn't make it, Skoll and his security specialists help Jada to find out where her twin could possibly be .These males are scary looking but have hearts of gold . Except for Idun . He seems to dislike her on sight !!
Will these two be able to overcome their miscommunications and move past them before her father 's people , or the mafia, or mercenaries kidnap her , or will they miss this opportunity for something great ??
This was an easy read, and with the exception of a few grammar mistakes, this is a great read. Cant wait for sister Aliyah's story !!!

Concern for her missing twin sister Aliyah brings MFC Jada Williams into contact with Hyrrokin Idun Grindstone and the heat is on!
This is book #7 in the series and I really enjoyed this fast-paced engaging read.
Jada and her twin were fleeing their mafia fathers forced marriage arrangements for them to sanctuary with their cousin Arianna Strikestone-Gonzalez on Tarvos. Almost caught by their father’s henchman Aliyah makes sure Jada gets transported to the planet leaving Jada uncertain as to her twin’s fate.
I loved the story that follows as in between the hunt for her twin’s whereabouts Jada becomes confused by Idun’s hot and cold interest in her. What she doesn’t know is he’s been burned before and has serious trust issues and is fighting the mating pull between himself and Jada.
Idun just assumes she is another frivolous wealthy socialite, and he’s been there, done that.
Great read with engaging characters, steamy attraction, and Hyrrokin Team Molten Lava taking the bull by the horns (pun intended) and leading the search for Aliyah.

Jada was escaping a bad situation by staying with her cousin and was set up with a blind date with Hyrrokin Idun Grindstone. She is set to gain a significant inheritance and he is a foul-mouthed security specialist - but she is enchanted with the smoke that wafts out of his nostrils, his bare chest and barbed tail. However, he made it clear that he thinks that she is spoiled, an irresponsible party girl and he wants nothing to do with her (even if sometimes he behaves differently). She doesn't behave that way - that is her twin sister. Then she is kidnapped by the Hyrrokin mafia and held for ransom. Idun activates his team at Molten Lava Security and all hell breaks loose. Finally, Idun shows exactly how he feels about her and that he cares for her. Maybe they do have a future together after all.

Some of this was enjoyable and fit in well with the series, and part of it was a little rushed and lacking in substance. Idun was delightful in his stubborn denial of what was impossible to actually deny and it was just a relief when he came to his senses. Easy to read and understand if a little light in places. Contains some mature content near the end of the story.

I loved reading this book. It’s got action, danger, a possessive and very protective male lead, steamy scenes and more, also a happily ever after ending. The characters are amazing. It features the Molten Lava crew and Skoll and his mate Ariana. The female lead character is Ariana’s cousin Jada and she turns up at their home looking for them urgently. The guard won’t let her into the community without confirmation. When Idun, one of ML’s security specialists drives up to see the commotion, he vouches for her and even holds her hand when he sister next to her in the car. They are very attracted to each other but when Idun finds out she’s rich and comes from a rich family, he suddenly turns cold and tells her he wants nothing to do with her. Jada is hurt and upset but she has bigger worries and luckily she’s at the right place. From then on he gives her hot and cold signals and when she is abducted, he realises how stupid he’s been and goes rogue in order to find her. This is a definite must read book and I highly recommend it.

I really like this series and the series monsters bite too. Every time I read them the hero remind me the villain from Legend, if you have not seen it, do it and you will see what I mean 😉. This one is like a cross over of these two series in this book you get the story of Jada and to see what happened to her twin sister Aliyah you have to read hers on the book Alien Ex-con on the monsters' bite series. The description is really not accurate of what happened in the book, but this tidbit doesn't make it less good.
In here we have the story of Jada a human that comes from a less than stellar family and a Hyrrokin named Idun. Idun had have a past relationship that have made him jaded and unthrusting of Females and more if they are rich. Can this two overcome all they hardships? and will Jada find her sister?
This is a fast-paced story with action, romance, spiciness, no cheating and of course a HEA.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Lost potential

I think so much of this book was false advertising and just didn't live up to the potential.

This is the first sorry where the H really reads as abusive and never truly unpacks his trauma that leads him to actual healing. Instead he uses it to be ABSOLUTELY horrible to Jada.

And Jada is stuck being in stereotypes accepting struggle love, having little autonomy (even though she talks a big game), desperately accepting breadcrumbs of "love", and having to give up her money (not deserving of having luxury). Even though she's willing to give up her inheritance, the book mentions that Idum potential had money set aside for him from bonus that weren't accepted, but that seemed to have been dismissed in the story. Also her book description as a socialite wasn't Jada, it was her sister.

There's just never a point where I feel there's a proper resolution to their issues and so there connection feels forced and not actually sustainable. I will admit that I love their initial chemistry. It was a fantastic set up.

this has to be one of her worst books to date. PLEASE do research on PoC before you start writing for them. I swear, Chloe's book was NOT this bad. how is she supposed to be the "nice" one and know everything about her sister yet talks bad about her CONSTANTLY. And he was actually SO rude to her the entire book and i'm supposed to believe they're fated mates or whatever? This one felt rushed and I could have done without it. They were NOT compatible at all and every interaction between the two was awful. it took me forever to read this book because it was just that bad.

the actual writing had tons of mistakes, missing words, the dialogue was ridiculous and overall, a bad read. her sister's book was much better if i'm honest and it seems like all of Jada's personality was just "i'm not my sister" and not in a fun sexy cute way like it should have been. we barely learned anything about her, she barely did ANYTHING but stand around and cry and the constant talk of him being "not like other hyrrokin" because he's tribal and wild? racism.

ok taing!!!

Idun and jada was a great story to read in this series. The instant attraction between them came off a tad bit rushed in the beginning, but it all even itself out as the story progressed. I think if you go to read a book within a series ...you should start at book 1 so you can have a better understand. In which the concept ofthe world you're reading abot...so I did just that so I could figure out why the attraction was so fast. Idun was pure male stupidity and sweetness rolled into a big red package. The past making him stubborn and judging a book by its cover. This was one of those plots where assuming someone is one way without really getting to know them. There was loads of miss communication and assumptions between the characters. Though Jada was shy and definitely a damsel in the distress...she wasn't a pushover and I enjoyed that. The sexual build up was really good and worth the wait. Totally enjoyed this book!

Good

Idun and Jada

Jada and her twin Aliyah make an emergency escape, which leaves Aliyah alone, trying to find help with her cousin on the Hyrrokin home world.
There she meets Idun, a Hyrrokin male, and member of the Molten Lava security force, and there is definitely an immediate attraction. The problem is that Jada has problems hunting for her, and Idun isn’t a fan of the socialite he believes her to be…

A fun, bite sized monster-alien romance, set in Michele Mills universe- this one is featuring a Hyrrokin (think an alien that looks like the devil) but is paired with one of her other series, and there is an ongoing background story element that ties everything together too!
Anyway, this is an enjoyable romance, with a lighthearted feel, and some cameos from previous MCs in the series. It’s a quick read, making it a good one for when you want something short and sexy to read.
Recommended for sci-fi romance fans, and monster hero lovers.

His Human Socialite by Michele Mills is the seventh book in the Monsters Love Curvy Girls series and it was such a HOOT!

Jada and Idun are delightful! From instant connection to a series of miscommunications, will they won't they vibes, and the push and pull of their magnetic chemistry, this story is an emotional rollercoaster all about acceptance, looking beyond the past, and trusting your gut and what you feel instinctively.

This story asks some poignant questions, deals with some difficult subjects, and really allows the reader to travel along on a journey of self discovery which is wonderful to witness.

There's mystery, drama, tension, intrigue, and a whole lot of FEELS, and it's so much fun to read! So, what are you waiting for? Come find out why you want yourself a Hyrrokin!

P. S. So excited for Her Alien Ex-Con! Bring on the twin!
