It's hard not to LOVE this book even if you haven't read all of the original Montgomery Ink Books, which I haven't, I only read the last two. Each chapter is a different story about a couple from the original series we get a glimpse into what their life is like now and some AMAZING recipes which I cannot wait to try out.

These stories are sweet, sexy, and some will pull at your heartstrings.

This wonderful book was a delightful combination of two of my favorite things The Montgomery's and recipes. Food and family go together like cookies and milk, so this book made perfect sense. On the inside are eight short stories that were filled with fun and feels along with a selection of recipes that tie into them. There is a nice variety to the recipes included so, I truly believe that you will find something to tempt your palate and entice you into your kitchen...just NOT before you finish all these tempting tales. This is my objective review that I am posting of my own accord.

I truly wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!! I pretty much devoured it in a few hours!! Once I started, I couldn’t put it down!! Carrie Ann Ryan is such a genius with her novellas and with this book we get 8 stories plus recipes that go with each one!! She gives us updates on the Montgomery Ink clan in the most delightful & unique way! It’s like little snapshots of family life: what’s going on with their kids, each other, siblings….pretty much like our own lives. And of course, being a Montgomery, each story has food component. Then, Carrie Ann doesn’t stop there, she gives the readers recipes at the end of each chapter, which all sound delicious not to mention look really simple to make!!! On my way to make the Carmel Pecan Clusters from the last chapter of the book!!!!

I absolutely adored reading this book! I loved all the short stories and catch ups that we got to do with the original Montgomery's and then getting the recipes for some of the items that had been talked about and/or that fit the theme. There were so many recipes that sounded sooo delicious and I can't wait to start tasting some of them. They are laid out very well and directions look easy to follow and not overly complicated. This was a great mix between the stories and then getting the recipes and everything fit together so well and really blended well.

“Cheese is life” and that pretty much sums up the Montgomery’s! This book was wonderful as we check back in with the original Montgomery siblings and see how they are faring, and what they are eating 😊 They have grown, their families have grown (or not, as they wished), and they still bring all the happy emotions as we get the perspective from each sibling and their chosen partner(s). Things are not all happy, rosy, sunshine, each moment of each day, but it is a good life surrounded by people they love and who love them, and that is the magic of the Montgomery’s <3

Welcome back to Denver and the Montgomery Ink world!

Montgomery Ink Bites is a anthology and cookbook collaboration between Carrie Ann Ryan and Suzanne M. Johnson.

It is a time to check-in with the ‘original’ Montgomery siblings that kick-started the Montgomery Ink world, and get some tasty recipes with each story.

So what’s the latest with the Denver crew?

Are Austin and Sierra ready to send Leif to college??

Spend Valentine’s Day with Decker, Miranda, and their crew…

Then spend some quality time with Montgomery-Dodds…

See what brings Griffin and Autumn to New Orleans…

Catch up with Maya, Jake, and Border on vacation…

Spend some time with Tabby, Alex, and their twins…and of course cheese…

Can Storm and the rest of the family pull off his surprise for Everly?

Then finally check in with Wes and Jillian, and the ‘surprise’ when they work to fix a plumbing leak….

I loved checking in with the original Montgomery crew and seeing how everyone was doing.

Plus—the recipes!!

Each short story also includes at the end—several original recipes by Suzanne Johnson that fit each family.

I have several ‘bookmarked’ to try—including the cheesy chicken enchiladas, the cheesesteak stuffed peppers, raspberry dark chocolate fudge, s’mores cinnamon rolls, and peanut butter and chocolate cupcakes.

I loved being able to check back in with the Denver branch of the family, and while I know we’ll be seeing everyone in various spin-offs—I would love to see each ‘branch’ get their own cookbook…..

So, pull up seat, grab a drink, and possibly a pad of paper and an pen (to start the grocery list) and enjoy spending time with the various members of the Denver branch of the family.

Carrie Ann never disappoints, and I’ll be checking out Suzanne Johnson’s other collaborative cookbooks with other authors…

I give Montgomery Ink Bites five out of five stars and highly recommend it to anyone who loves to read or to cook…

Note: An ARC was provided by Social Butterfly PR.

If you're a longtime reader of Carrie Ann Ryan's, then it's no secret that her beloved Montgomery clan call the state of Colorado home, but the original siblings live in the city of Denver. Now, the original Montgomerys that kicked off Ryan's much-loved Montgomery Ink book universe are back with new short stories to give fans and readers a look-see on what life is like after their respective happily-ever-afters. The bonus? We've got recipes from Suzanne M. Johnson! I loved revisiting Denver and it did my heart good to find out what these eight families were up to. I haven't gotten around to trying the recipes yet--cut me some slack, I just finished reading this book!--but I've marked the ones that had my tummy rumbling in curiosity. Montgomery Ink Bites Cookbook will do any Montgomery Ink reader's heart good and their tummy will thank them later. Five stars!

Before reading this book I really wondered about how it would work. A book of short stories that is also a cookbook? That's just weird. However, if you're at all familiar with Carrie Ann Ryan's Montgomery family books then you will know that food is almost it's own character. So, it's almost natural to formalise the partnership with this book. Each short story focuses on a couple that have already had their main book and HEA, so the short story brings them back to the reader and we get to see a small snapshot of their lives at a future point, with children and life changes. I had only read the full novel of one couple and had no problem enjoying all of the stories, even if the characters were unfamiliar. As for the recipes, they all sound wonderful and I can't wait to try some. Unfortunately, some of the ingredients seem to be very American-centric but I loved matching the style of food to the couple. Fun addition to the Montgomery universe.

This was a great way to catch up with the Montgomery Ink series. It was great to see where the characters are now and to meet their kids. opening up a new world of Montgomerys. “We are family, and that’s all that matters.”

Montgomery updates + recipes = awesomeness

This cookbook is full of short story updates on the original Montgomery siblings.

The short stories are absolutely amazing and are just the right touch to keep you updated on what's happening with the ones who made you love the Montgomerys to begin with.

I haven't had a chance to try out any of the recipes yet because I was out of town when this bad boy dropped, but I do plan to try a few of them. They all look delicious and not too complicated to make. I'm especially looking forward to trying out the desserts ... because ... hello ... dessert is the best part of a meal.

If you're a fan of the Montgomerys you're going to love this cookbook. If you love to try different recipes, and especially if you love cheese, you're going to love this cookbook.

What a fun book/cookbook/story. I really love this collaboration of short stories interwoven with recipes that work in perfectly with what’s going on with the characters and everything fits together. The updates are great and reading this definitely made me hungry and to try a lot of the recipes. I enjoyed the OG Montgomery’s, the next generation and even our friends and characters from more recent series paid us a visit. These kids are going to be some amazing adults with their strong emotions, personalities, and input during the books. While I enjoyed ALL the stories, my favorites were Maya’s and Austin’s. What a fun read and I’ll definitely be adding these recipes to my recipe collection.

What happens when you combine the joy of catching up with your favorite characters after the pages of the story ends, and get some mouthwatering recipes to match? Montgomery Ink Bites Cookbook, that’s what! It’s the best of two worlds in one.
Having just re-read the original books, I loved catching up on each family as the years have gone by and their lives have shifted and grown. There’s no way to pick a favorite, so I won’t even try. The pairings to their stories and the recipes included range from the simple (smoked maple bacon) to the unexpected (chili cheese waffles). There’s bound to be something for every member of the family.
I love this twist on the classic epilogue…because as we all know, food brings families together!

I am always looking for new recipes, and when I saw this one, I jumped at the chance to find some new recipes. The book has more than just recipes; there are stories from the Montgomery Ink series. Each chapter has a short story from a couple from the series. I'm not familiar with the Montgomery Ink series, but I still enjoyed the short stories. I loved the recipes, and there's a little something for everyone, even the pickiest eaters. My favorite chapter was Chapter 5: With A Twist. I made almost all of these recipes, and I didn't get one complaint from the family. Another family favorite was French Toast Grilled Cheese with Bacon from Chapter 6: Cheese Me, Baby. I'm enjoying making the recipes, and there are still more recipes I will try.

I need Montgomery Ink Bites Cookbook in print!

I love the new stories included in this book about some of our favorite couples. We catch up on the lives of the Montgomery’s and we get more personal in their everyday lives through their meals. I enjoyed the way we were introduced to their meal planning in each chapter and then gifted the recipes of those meals. The various appetizers, main courses and desserts had me eager to try them with my family. The recipes are simple and as I read them, I realized how I had most if not all the ingredients in my kitchen. The author keeps these characters in our hearts with their love for each other and their families.

I was surprised by how much I liked this. I was a bit wary on how short stories in a cookbook would work but the way it was set up was great. Each chapter deals with an OG Montgomery couple and the food talked about in each story is the food found in the recipes at the end of the chapter. That was ingenious! I always find myself wanting whatever food the characters have in a book and to have the recipes at the end of the chapter is perfect. I haven’t cooked anything yet but those s’more cinnamon rolls are calling my name. This is definitely a book to grab for some great recipes and a visit back to the Montgomerys.

This is such an interesting concept - which I think worked really well... an update on the Montgomery Ink series, with 8 brand new short stories AND a cookbook - each story has a number of recipes referenced or linked to the short story you have just read.

You don't need to have read all of the original Montgomery Ink Books, but I prefer to get my updates in order so was pleased that I had all the relevant backstories already. Each chapter is a different story about a couple from the original series and we get a glimpse into what their life is like now.

I can't wait to try some of these recipes... luckily I love cheese too!!

Montgomery Ink Bites was an amazing collection of short stories of the original characters in the Montgomery Ink series along with some recipes I cannot wait to try. Even though I have food allergies, these recipes use simple ingredients that can easily be adjusted to accommodate my restrictions. The hardest part is trying to figure out which one to try first!

As for the short stories, I LOVED getting a glimpse of what the future had in store for this wonderful set of characters. Montgomery Ink is one of those series that makes you feel like you are part of the family so this book made me feel like I was home.

This is a fun and engaging collection of stories that center around the Montgomery’s and food. I really enjoyed getting to catch up with many of the characters from previous stories. Alongside the short stories we get recipes for the food that connects the Montgomery’s. It was nice to see the way the food and family go together for the Montgomery’s, and I am interested in trying to make and taste some of these recipes. I always love getting to go back and see more of past characters and what happened in their lives since we last saw them. These stories are a nice addition to the Montgomery world, and I hope that we get to see more like this in the future.

What a great book of recipes and short stories that gave a glimpse into the lives of our favorite Denver Montgomery couples and their families. The short stories will have the reader falling in love all over again with the Montgomery siblings, their significant others, and their children. The short stories will make you laugh, smile, cry, and want more Montgomery stories. I can't wait to try some of the delicious recipes that each couple enjoyed making for themselves and their families. I would definitely recommend getting Montgomery Ink Bites Cookbook by Carrie Ann Ryan. I received an ARC copy of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.

With every story (cookbook in this case) we fall head over heals in love with the Montgomery family. As I cooked several of these recipes (I'm still drooling at the thought), I can't help but picture myself at a Sunday Family Dinner with all the family. Kids running everywhere, Ma in the kitchen and the men in the Den trying to watch football. Because the family keeps popping out babies, they are soon going to have to start renting a hall (in my opinion).

I loved this book so much, I am going to purchase it in paperback, so I can highlight and tag my favourites! I hope there will be another cookbook in the future! I am sure MA can mix up some additional tasty treats!!!

MMMMMM! While I have not read all of the stories that this Bites collection entails, the love, laughter and sense of family shines through. Whether it's learning a little more about the youngest and newest family members or whether its about seeing prejudice through the eyes of an observer, the lust for life that each has is worthy of their happiness. My favourite recipe: Cajun Chicken Alfredo. But I really want to try some of the desserts. Each sibling and their family take the time to share some of their secrets to the kitchen.

Although I haven't read all of the Montgomery Ink books, I still loved how we get glimpses into different couples and for the ones that were new to me, I now want to jump in and and read those books! Then we have all the recipes- I was so excited to try some of these and we picked several from different sections. They were super easy to follow and everything we tried was a success - deviled eggs, enchiladas and a pasta salad. This is definitely a cookbook I'll be going to back to again and again for different things to try.

This is an amazing collection of stories, which catch up with the Montgomery siblings, and their growing families. Each chapter has a meal planned out with various appetizers, main courses, and desserts. These recipes are amazing and off course there is cheese involved lol. I am looking forward to trying out some of those delicious sounding recipes for myself. This is a well written collaboration from these authors, and there is family, love, humor, witty banter, and an all-round entertaining page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented duo, whose work I highly recommend.

Can’t get any better than this. Good food and Montgomery stories!!

Every story is a great flash back to the beloved Montgomerys Ink family. It left me craving to go back and reread the entire series from the beginning again. The recipes are exquisite and easy enough for a simple cook like myself to execute. And I loved the fact that the theme of the recipes of each chapter tie into the story. Brilliant! Best of all I can tell my husband I am just reading a cook book!! This absolutely left me anxious to start the upcoming next generation series. Can’t wait!!

While I loved seeing where the characters that first introduced me to the wonderful words of Carrie Ann Ryan, for me these snippets needed a bit more depth - maybe I'm just being greedy and wanted longer storyline, lol.

The recipes at the end of each short story matched the characters and story perfectly and there are a few that I want to try out.
But not being based in America there are some recipes that I won't be able to make unless I can work out what some of the ingredients are and if I can find substitutes for.
