Wicked Dance... Blond-haired, bespectacled, and affable, Trey, a Ballroom Dance instructor, was innocently shopping at an Adult store for a male g-string. As one of the few men in town that could actually dance, he’d been hired to strip for a bachelorette party.

Coincidentally, dark haired and aggressive Kenshin Asano, Martial Arts instructor, just happened to be shopping at the same Adult store – though for a very different reason.

As far as Trey’s concerned, what could it hurt to flirt, just a little?
Alas, someone is about to discover what happens when they play with fire.

This is the second book I’ve read by this author and all I can say is that if you don’t believe two men are enough for each other and will always need a woman added to the mix to satisfy them, why bother writing m/m in the first place? Is this supposed to be a really sneaky way of saying being gay is a phase or something? At the end of the book the characters are of to search for a woman to have sex with and this was added as an afterthought after making me believe for the whole book that this was GAY romance. The author is basically saying that sex with a man is ok as long as you find a woman as well? This is the second time it's happened with this author and I won't be reading any more of Morgan Hawke's stories. What a way to ruin a book.

I didn’t even want to finish this, to be honest. Similar to Elected in problems, though this was a little longer. I also take issue with the severe top/bottom dynamic in this- it even includes twice where the bottom was raped in some sense or other. No means no, it doesn‘t matter whether it‘s a woman or a man saying it, and doing those kinds of scenes between two men isn‘t hot, it‘s just as disgusting as if it was a woman in that same situation. I really, really hate the “I was raped, but now I love him!” crap that books like this pull. Seriously. On top of that, you have them having sex right away, "falling in love" right away... too much, too fast.

I think this may truly have been the worst book I’ve ever read. The writing was poor, there were grammar, spelling, and mechanics errors, but those weren’t even the most egregious part.

This books lives down to the worst stereotypes of ‘90s and early 2000s M/M. It manages to include the following tropes: insta love, falling in love with your rapist, gay panic, multiple rape scenes (not a single sex scene was consensual), and bisexual=slutty. And that is the tip of the iceberg.

My god, people. There was not a single redeemable element to this trash heap. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste a single red cent on this excrement.

I like a good GFY story – the buildup of tension and angst until finally the dam breaks and voila, all kinds of hot and sweaty good stuff. However, I wasn’t quite enamored with this GFY story. The first thing that bothered me was that it felt uncomfortably close to crossing the line between dubious consent and non-consent. Normally, I’m not bothered by those types of stories either, but it didn’t feel right here. The other thing that bothered me was the ending and how suddenly the two shall become three… with a girl. That felt like an unnecessary blind side and subsequent loss of some brownie points.

Wow! This book was really, um, bad. Classic case of GFY insta-love. What? Really? Not only that, the sex was uncomfortably close to date rape. Just poorly done. The only thing saving it from 1 star is the fact that I was able to finish it.

Trey is a dance instructor. He is an handsome guy, not very physically impressive but with a nice body. Long blond hair, lean body and cute spectacles. He is the right choice as stripper for a bachelorette party. Doesn't matter he has never do that before, he knows how to dance and it's enough. He only needs a g-string and all is perfect.

At the sexy shop he meets Kenshin, a martial arts teacher. Trey is not gay, but this guy is hot and he has no intention to going in that shop again, so a bit of flirting doesn't harm nobody. But Kenshin is not a man you can dump, and when he meets again Trey accidentally at the bachelorette party, in no way he let go the guy again.

A classical yaoi situation, even if Trey is not a helpless boy who needs someone who takes care of him. He is an independ guy who happens to be attract to a guy for the first time in his life. And this particularly guy is not used to be denied. Kenshin is very good in seducing Trey both with gentleness than with strong hands; he has no problem to use is undoubtely stronger body to win the resistance of this beautiful boy and conquers all of him, heart and body.

The seduction's scene is very arousing and very explicit. But even if Kenshin is a little bit forceful, you have also the knowledge that Trey is consenting and enjoys every moment of it.

The story is rather short and the plot simple and smooth, but still the book is very enjoyable.

I had to force myself to push through this book, I found myself physically cringing away from my kindle at some parts. There is a limit to playing the hard to get game and the I'm not gay scenario and then submitting willingly and pretty much just plain rape. Multiple times the bottom said no and each time he was still practically forced in to it. The sex scene was definitely the worst part, it wasn't hot in the slightest. It definitely felt more like I was reading rape, the bottom making a run for the front door and the top being aggressive, finding it a turn on and funny and dragging him back to bed pretty much telling him to stop being silly and that he was a acting this way cause he was virgin.
No means no, even if you both have the 'tell tale' bulge, doesn't mean the person wants to or is ready.

Another thing that bothered me, they both said they were in love after 2 meetings, top 'couldn't stop thinking' about bottom, that he had fallen for the guy. No. Both of the 2 meetings revolved around 'No I don't want to have sex' 'Oh but we're going to anyway, stay still' 'Yeah so this was fun, cya later'.
You aren't in love, you're a sex fiend and he's a pushover that's not quite right in the head.

This was a cute but short read. Trey and Kenshin meet and do some flirting but Trey is straight. Ken gets Trey in the bathroom where he did a strip tease dance for a friends bachelorette party and shows him that he might not be so straight after all... under dubious consent. Trey can't get Ken out of his mind so he seeks him out (ken gave him means) and hot sex follows. Initially, it's under dubious consent. They admit their love at first sight and the story ends on what looks like the start of a good relationship and "adventurous sex". Fun, hot, and short, but stay away if dub con isn't your thing.

Okay, it always bugs me when the main characters meet and are instantly in love. Or meet, have a quickie, and then realize they're in love. After less than a hundred words have been exchanged with the fluids. But, this is pretty cute, the characters are likable, and it's kind of sweet. I think if it'd been longer with more time for interaction before the "OMG, I LOVE YOU!" it would've been a pretty good book. Not bad as it is, but I would've liked it better with a little more to it.

Just finished reading "Drawn Together" (I wish there was a second book) and for some reason, this turned up in my recs. This book doesn't even compare. They went from meeting in a sex shop, to talks of moving in at the turn of a page. I know it was a short story but damn. Anyway, the characters are forgettable, to me at least, cause I just finished the book and I can't even remember their names now. Only reason it gets three stars is because the sex scenes were on point.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. Very PWP. I would NOT call it shounen-ai. The definition between shounen-ai and yaoi is a fine line, but generally sex is implied in shounen-ai at the most, if it even happens at all. Not the case in this story - it's definitely explicit. And the characters are very stereotypical seme/uke types. It's most definitely yaoi in my opinion. Still, meh.

This was OK. It is a fairly aggressive romance which some may consider dub-con. Admittedly this was written more than 10 years ago (2005) and it definitely has a different style compared to today's romances.

I've had this on my 'to read' shelf since Oct 2011, so I am very pleased to now move to my 'read' shelf :D

M/M doesn't really do it for me which is why Ms. Hawke's Torrid is just a 3 star. The story was well written, I just didn't feel a connection with the guys. The ballroom dancing was a nice touch. It reminded me of Strictly Ballroom. If you like m/m, this is probably up your alley.

A sweet love Yaoi short story.
A martial artist owner of a dojo and a dance instructor.
Love at first sight came before sex.
One was insisting, the other was resisting.
But they both really were just dancing around each other and playing.
Pure fun story, nothing to take too seriously.

Trey and Kenshin are a hot couple. I enjoyed the mild dom-sub play, and I also appreciated the fact that the Asian male was the aggressor. Too often, that isn't the case. Short read, fun story.

Well, the men's restroom scene had me really worried, but by the time the story ended I had to love these guys. Weird?? Yeah, but ready to jump in to follow their hearts.

Enjoyable read.
