This is a very suspenseful psychological thriller in which I was immediately enthralled in. This was a ONE-SITTING read for me. The sorry primarily is told in Abel Rhodes’ point of view. Abel knows very little about his biological parents and his mother birthed him next to a slaughterhouse in which he had a very cold upbringing by adoptive parents, but slaughtering cattle and seeing blood has given him an early interest which will develop into a fetish. Abel grows up to be a well-respected neurosurgeon but tried to cover up his secret urges by keeping up an appearance of having a perfect family- when really he feels miserable in his marriage. Abel has an intense hatred for those who continue to get away with murder and abusing children, and does research on certain individuals to seek justice. Being well-versed with nature, Abel takes two years to construct a cave structure with multiple rooms off of a remote hiking trail. This is the perfect place to lure his targets - especially the captain that he chooses to assist with carrying out his mission. This was a total page-turner and the chapters were short, and lead into one another. The ending was a wonderful wrap-up. I am so eager to read her next book in the series! I rate this novel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5!!!

Dr. Abel Dorian Rhodes is brilliant. He is an acclaimed surgeon, a seemingly devoted husband and most probably a psychopath. A study of contrast, he is renowned for saving lives daily and secretly taking lives without blinking an eye. Perhaps he was born that way, or maybe he is the product of his upbringing – either way he is a man to be revered and feared.

On the surface, he is a devoted husband and father of an adopted daughter from India. His family “proves” to others that he is normal. Unwittingly, they are the cover for his lies and the agenda that will soon include a young woman who has dubbed herself Merlot. She is an extremely popular social influencer with a self-help vlog. She unwittingly becomes involved with him, succumbing to his lies. Soon her life will never be the same – if she manages to live.

Anonymity is a psychological thriller. The anticipation and fear of the characters is palpable when the reader realizes the danger that lays ahead for those he targets. The characters both good and bad are fully developed and unnervingly realistic. The fast-moving plot proves to be impossible to put down. I literally read it in under 48 hours. While the end of the book does bring closure, I wondered about what would happen to the characters. I was excited to discover Anonymity is the first book in a series.

I was surprised to find out that this is Rachel Martin’s debut novel. It does contain graphic violence as well as explicit sex scenes. It is as if Dexter and Fifty Shades of Gray had a twisted baby. A warped, psychotic offspring of the deadliest kind. I highly recommend this book if you are a fan of psychological thrillers and am anxiously awaiting the second book in the series.

he satisfaction you get after the final completion of the story is just incredible, sometimes you are really happy with the ending and sometimes you feel it could have been better but when complete you heart is just satisfied.

📝Starting with the title of the book , Being a relevant one to the story the title also has the feature that is easy to understand and remember whereas the best one is that after the viewer reads the title for the first time it gives a certain curiosity to read more about it. The cover on the other hand compliments the title so I would say that the outer appearance of the book is really the one which attracts the viewer to buy and read it.
Dr. Abel Dorian Rhodes is splendid. He is an acclaimed specialist, an apparently committed spouse and most likely a sociopath. An investigation of difference, he is prestigious for saving carries on with day by day and covertly taking lives without so much as a second thought. Maybe he was conceived that way, or possibly he is the result of his childhood – whichever way he is a man to be loved and dreaded.

📝In this captivating novel there is interest from the absolute first page. Abel Rhodes is an altogether commendable mind specialist, a mindful spouse and a dad to a received little girl. He lives in the most amazing aspect of town and urges his better half to work with good cause. He's likewise a very attractive sociopath totally ailing in sympathy. He set out at an early age to make a persona that he could take cover behind, and he succeeded on the grounds that the world considers Abel to be as the one who has everything…

📝This book certainly is a wonderful reading. Also, the language and the words were used were normal and was a normal length read but worth it. The structure was really, simple, making it easy to understand, and the illustrations are also fantastic.

The plot of this story hinges on a reality that is far from fiction. Ph D Martha Stout wrote a book called The Sociopath Next Door. In it, she claims that “1 in 25 ordinary Americans secretly has no conscience and can do anything at all without feeling guilty.” The characters that are highlighted in Anonymity are the sociopaths that Stout refers to and beyond that, they could be contenders for the higher designation of psychopath. This is a twisted tale of a doctor/surgeon who cures and then plots to kill after he hangs up his white coat and stethoscope each and every day. This story is extremely graphic, with violent and sexual content, and is meant for an adult audience.

It was a bit of a slow start for me, as the author used the first-person point of view a little too often but after about a dozen pages in, the story took off into a spine-chilling psychological thriller that equals or surpasses the Silence Of The Lambs, which featured the brilliant and gruesome character of Hannibal Lecter. Doctor Abel Rhodes, in my opinion, is a darker and more frightening human being who is free to play the hero and the villain and no one can see this monster coming. He is cunning, diabolical and very smart.

Reviewers often say about a good book, “I couldn’t put it down.”- but I only put this book down twice and went without lunch because I was hungrier for more of the story than I was for food.

Keep an eye on this author, Rachel Martin. She has an impressive literary talent in crafting her words and her attention to story plot and character development will easily land her on the best sellers list if she keeps going as a writer.

Anonymity was different in many ways to the standard psychological thrillers I read. As far as debut novels go, I think Ms Martin did a very good job of writing something "different".
At first I understood the attraction between Abel and Merlot, but towards the end it didn't make as much sense considering her time in captivity. I do hope the sequel sheds more light on both Merlot and Abel's back stories.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion. This book reminded me a lot of Dexter. Martin did an amazing job at writing the inner-workings of a psychopath's brain. If you want an NSFW read with suspense, this book could be for you.
