Another wonderful read by Ms. Brooks. I just love her romantic books. This book is the perfect mix of romance and deception with a dash of fairytale.
Avery is a successful fashion designer, who’s career is taking off. She is one of the trio of best friends, but has been feeling a tad lonely. Especially since one of the trio, Kylie got married and had a baby. She is happy for her friend, but a bit envious as well. But her life is about to change.
Liam is the prince of Ireland and next in line for the throne. That is if he marries by his fortieth birthday. He either marries for love or be arraigned or lose the crown.
When Liam meets Avery, he comes up with the perfect plan. Only problem is that Kylie looses a bit more each day. Will Kylie give up herself so Liam can have his?
This book was wonderful. I could not put it down. I loved Kylie, but sometimes felt Liam was a selfish prick. The story is a bit of the fairytale variety with a hot prince. This steady paced read reminds us of what is important in life and how much you should hold on to your true self. Bravo bravo. Excellent book!
Every girls dream or monarchy monotony Royal Fake by Sarah J Brooks is a very well written romance that brings together an unlikely pair. Avery and Liam meet and they create an immediate spark that leads to a chain of events. These chain of events is the plot in a nutshell and it’s no easy road. Liam struggles with what he wants and what Avery needs. Beneath all the pomp and circumstance that comes with marrying into the monarchy, Liam’s certainty he will never want just one woman for the rest of his live, he falls in love with Avery and she with him. Avery struggles, an unwilling acceptance of expectations that result in becoming someone other than herself. She’s conflicted and confused. Liam perseveres, going after what he wants without truly realizing the impact it is having on the woman he fell in love with. Overall, a well written fake marriage romance that ends very real with a great HEA. I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. I have read several books by this author and this book puts a new spin on a fake marriage romance. It was very refreshing. Liam is the heir to the throne and his father has made it so if he doesn't have a bride by his 40th birthday he will be wed to Lucy. Liam has made it very clear he will never marry her so now he's racing against the clock to find a suitable bride. Avery is an up and coming fashion designer. It's St. Patrick's day and since she has just found out she's part Irish. Avery went all out. She even invited the Price of Ireland. Who even knew there was such a person. Though he is nothing like she expected. I really enjoyed this book and I loved the way the Liam and Avery laughed and played in their relationship. I hope Lucy gets her book. I would definitely like to see what happens to her.
When a one-night stand turns into something close to a dream or is it? Waking up and finding out the man you just slept with is a Prince? Avery is beyond shocked especially when Liam has a proposition for her to be his “fake” wife and Princess and then offers up some money to sweeten the pot, this all so he can become King. How could she pass this up? Leaving her life behind and going to Ireland to pull off this charade, not too many people are happy about their arrangement. Doubts surface, an unexpected surprise pops up and feelings are starting to come into play. Will this stay an arrangement or will these two realize they need each other more than they ever thought? Great read as always from this author. I received a copy of this book.
What I really enjoyed about this book was it’s length. Ms. Brooks took the time to really develop the characters of Liam and Avery. I also felt engaged with the secondary characters. I do dislike the idea of every girl wanting to be a princess but maybe there are still many girls who want to be princesses. What was supposed to be a one night stand tuns into a complicated arrangement where one would think everybody wins. Liam is sometimes more focused on the throne than his marriage and Avery is sometimes forced to tamp down her larger than life personality. I recent an arc of this book for a fair and honest review.
Pretend becomes the truth $10 million dollars to be a fake princess for a year is more than Avery can turn down outright. This is the offer Liam has made her after spending the night together. Since he is charming, gorgeous, and good in bed, she decides to take the chance. Leaving her fashion job behind in New York, she soon finds that he is obsessed with doing everything by the book. Will she stay with him? Will his attitude change after their unplanned surprise? Will they find happiness together? I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a steamy read. Avery is a a fiery and opinionated you g lady. She has a wild and creative side as a fashion designer and in her personal life. Liam is a playboy Prince on a deadline. A one night stand turns into a lifetime plan. She has to deal with the monarchy and a new country as the royal usurper. He has to deal with his ever protective friends and her passion for designs. The arguments are heated and so is the sex. Finding happiness comes down to acceptance of who they are and the important role they can play in changing things for the better.
I received an arc for an honest review. This book brings up Avery and Liam. Avery is a fashion designer, trying to make her name in the industry. Liam is the heir to crown of Ireland. One chance meeting, and Liam is having his "last fling" before he becomes 40 and when his father will arrange a marriage for him. Liam is enamored with Avery and offers her a deal where she pretends to be his fiancé. How will this work out - especially for Avery as she has to put away her dreams. Will this "fake" relationship turn into something more? This is a fantastic read and I highly recommend it.
I loved Avery, her fiery personality and the passion she has for what she loves and those in her life. I liked Liam from the start, but I did struggle with him a bit as the story progressed. He was so obsessed with the throne, with following all the rules and changing Avery. I loved that push and pull between them, the fire and the internal struggles. Really enjoyed the story!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Avery wakes up after a hot one night stand and realizes she is with a Prince, I real Prince. Liam a Prince from Ireland needs to find a wife by 40 and marry or else his dad is going to hand the kingdom over to his first cousin. Liam meets Avery in a bar and they are instantly attracted. This book was total unrealistic, but a whole lot of fun and romance. It was nice to see them get their ever after!
Liam was a charismatic man. I can see why Avery found him hard to resist. At times I felt they were meant to be together forever and other times I felt it would never work. The situations were very believable and I enjoyed the story. I was very proud of Avery’s work in the fashion industry and did not want her to give that up for Liam. You will enjoy this story.
Avery and Liam`s story is captivating from the start. They struggles to get what each of them want. Liam is obsessed with the throne but can Avery conform to everything this entitles. A fascinating story with strong characters. I honestly volunteered to review this story.
I enjoyed this book. The story line was fun and filled with emotions. I liked Liam and Avery but I did get frustrated by Liam's attitude and action more than once along the way. Still, I thought that it was a cute read with well developed characters. I am freely posting a frank review.
This book went a little to overboard on the sex not enough on a good storyline. Kinda of disappointed. The characters didn't have enough depth for my liking. Just so so on the recommend list.
ROYAL FAKE by Sarah J. Brooks A STUNNING love story with all of the FEELS of GREAT romance and the drama of a ROYAL fake; a MUST-READ! ROYAL FAKE, author Sarah J. Brooks' latest romance is not just an AMAZING love story surrounding a royal wedding, it is also one of those feel-good romances that make you smile each time you think about it. And, think about it you will! I fell deeply in love with both Liam and Avery while watching them negotiate a contract and then, watched as they fell in love with each other while trying to live out the contract’s dictates. There were so many hilarious and poignant moments, I’m certain ROYAL FAKE could add the label - romantic comedy! Days later “those unnamed book moments” still make me smile in remembrance. Sarah J. Brooks offers the most remarkable story because everything is well done and done right. The characters are realistic but flawed; striving to do better even in the most awkward moments! The premise of the plot was contemporary and also realistic enough to be reported on Page Six. ROYAL FAKE is also exciting, twisty, and full of the perfect amount of angst to keep readers understanding the choices the main characters make while in the midst of living the most MARVELOUS love story. I rushed to volunteer as a reader and am so delighted that I can voluntarily leave this HONEST 5+STAR review. There are no gimmicks, nothing far out or unbelievable happens – yet ROYAL FAKE is everything romance readers want to read. As a result, ROYAL FAKE should be your next romance purchase or at the very least, place at the top of your list of romances to be read (TBR)! It is that good! I STRONGLY recommend you purchase your copy of ROYAL FAKE today! Happy pages! 😉
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Liam, the Prince of Ireland, and Avery, a fashion designer from New York. Liam met Avery at a fundraiser where she was in charge of the fashion show and she didn't know he was the prince, although she had heard the prince was in New York. Avery was very attracted to Liam and when he flirted with her, she decided to go back to his hotel room. They had a great night, but the next morning, Avery found out Liam was about to become King and needed to get married before he turned 40. Liam liked Avery and asked her to marry him because the woman he was supposed to marry was not his type and he thought Avery was a better choice. Avery agreed to go to Ireland with Liam and talk more about the marriage, but she wanted to continue working on her fashion line, which was going to be a challenge with being a queen. I really loved this book, i loved LIam, i thought he was funny and loveable, even though at times Avery wanted to walk away from him and his demanding ways. I thought Liam really started to care for Avery and wished she could be everything she wanted to be, but he also knew it was going to be a challenge. Avery was a strong woman and knew what she wanted, but she also wanted to help Liam. Well done.
Avery was just starting to get her life and her fashion design career together. Her friends were getting married and having babies, furthering their careers and as happy Avery was with her career. Her lack of love life was a desperate reminder that she had no one in her life. Would she ever get her fairytale happy ever after that she now wanted. Husband and a family with her own prince charming. Liam was a prince seeking a wife so he could rule, and a wowan who will give him heirs, before his father married him off to a wowan he didn't want to marry. Arranged marriages were not uncommon within the royal circles. Then after meeting Avery at a charity event and the sparks of sexual chemistry led to a one night stand that for some reason he doesn't want to see her leave. Liam didn't expect Avery to be so fiery independent and stubborn a personality to intrigue him enough to propose a fake royal marriage and not want the chemistry between them to disspear she brought some much comfort and strength but will this be enough to convince her to stay.
4.75 stars This is one winning story from Sarah Brooks. It is for those who dream that their prince will come. Avery is a successful fashion designer. Along with her two friends, they were like the three musketeers until Kylie got married and had a baby which left Avery feeling lonely. Liam is Ireland’s prince who needs to be married by his fortieth birthday or else he will lose his crown to his cousin. When Liam meets Avery at a bar celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, he hatches what could be the perfect plan. Is Avery willing to follow a perfect stranger? Will Avery be able to conform and be who she is expected to be? Is it possible that this marriage could be the best thing for them both? This is a well written storyline that pulls at the heartstrings as readers watch the developing relationship between Avery and Liam. She is a strong-minded woman who does things with gusto and Liam is the calm to her storm. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
This was such a good read. I adored this story. Liam and Avery were a perfect match for each other. Liam needs to be married by the time he is forty. He is supposed to be married to another, but does not want her. He doesn’t love her and only cares for her as a sister. He meets Avery at her St.Patrick’s Day fashion show/fundraiser. He is instantly attracted to her feistiness and her ability to have fun. She is very headstrong and comes up with an idea. They get married and will be married for a certain amount of years with other stipulations. At first she is opposed, but as they spend the day together, she agrees. She just didn’t know exactly what she was agreeing to. You need to read this story to find out what exactly happens between these two.Liam and Avery have out of this world, hot chemistry. They had an instant connection with each other. I liked the story and loved the characters. You will see some familiar faces. I can’t wait to read the next one.
This book was un-put-down-able. I started it while waiting for 1 of my library holds on the WVDELI (Overdrive in WV where I live). I got it through my KU account. Once I started it, I couldn't stop. I got so wrapped up in the characters and the story I never wanted it to end. I do have a few of her books on my Kindle. I will now have to go back and make sure that I definitely read them. I read this in a day, well less basically. I started this book around 8:30pm and I finished at 1:30am.. I was shocked that I had come to the end and it was over. I was kind of sad that it was over.. I could have kept reading forever. It has been a long time since I read a book by a new- to-me author that I couldn't put down and didn't want to end. So if anyone is looking for a good story to sink your teeth into and not put down, then I reccomend Royal Fake!!
This book was fabulous. the wording and language used was so refreshing. most authors don't use just every day language of today everything has to be so proper. the story line was great the character development was awesome the real life feelings of what avery and liam were experiencing true to life making u feel the emotion come right thru the story while reading it. You live the story along with the characters. the pressures of monarch life i would think right on esp the panty hose as i know its one thing kate middelton and meghan markle have to adhere too. in my opinion the author nailed this book from start to finish. highly recommended reading. I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Avery is a successful business woman but she's feeling a bit lonely. Especially when a friend gets married and is having a baby. She meets Liam in a bar while celebrating St Patrick's Day. Liam is a prince and has to get married soon or lose everything. When he sees Avery he is drawn to her but soon after meeting her he makes a plan and hopes he can convince her to go along with it. Will Avery be his fake Bride to be? Can they manage to do this without real feelings coming into play?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is sizzling hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
i loved this book , it was a great story about women that was doing her dream job. Avery meet Liam at a St Patrick's Day fundraiser that she was hosting and thought what is the harm in a little fun. She spends the night in Liam room to wake up to finding out the normal guy she went to bed with is a prince in need of a wife. What is going to happen now. Liam needs a wife, before his birthday so he doesnt have to marriage the women that the king is set for him. so why not ask Avery to be his fake wife at least he can enjoy her company. The rest of this story has you cheering for Avery and maybe wondering what Liam got his self in for. I got this story as a arc for my honest review and trust me you will enjoy this book if you like a strong women character. with spunk
I have to say that I eventually liked, a little, the story. After I got more than 1/2 way through it. I had actually decided to stop reading it, several times, due to the craziness of Avery’s reaction to Liam...after finding out who he was and what he was about. It was somewhat terrible, at first & a little stupid. However, my OCD personality prevented me from finding out if it was going to keep being ridiculous. Then after well over the 1/2 way mark, I was okay with finding out how things would end. If I had not finished the book, I would have given it 1 or 2 stars. I did like the characters and the sexual involvement was great writing and fun to read.
Royal Fake is what happens when you have a one night stand with the future King of Ireland and it turns into something more. Liam is a Prince and needs a fake fiancée/Princess to become his future Queen and for $10 million dollars fashion designer Avery decides it's worth one year of her time. This is a fun and entertaining story filled with royal family drama, hot chemistry, secrets, lies and two likable characters that had me cheering them on to get an HEA. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Oh wow, what a brilliant story of Prince Liam and Fashion Designer Avery. It all seemed so simple, Avery to marry Liam , have a few babies and he can retain his Crown, right!!!! Wrong. A very emotional story of Avery giving up so much and feeling like she is losing herself in this royal world. At first I thought Liam was privileged and arrogant but over time, you realise he has his own worries and insecurities. All in all a great story and couldn’t put it down.
An incredible hot man meets an up and coming fashion designer and it's lust at first sight right up until he confesses his true identity, that he needs a wife and wants her for the position..all within 48 hours of meeting. Talk about your whirlwind romance. First it's crazy, then an adventure..then reality sets in and she has to choose between being a royal and giving up the passion she has for her career. Great story with fabulous secondary characters you'll want to know more about.
Very disappointed in this book. I looked everywhere. I couldn't find the plot. I read about a 40 year old man with Peter Pan Syndrome. Whose life was stuck in college mode. I mean he was not stable. I must have been in the last 75% book and it all came together....kind of. He had a deadline set by his Dad. He needs a wife plus four children in seven years? Am I missing something here? I will have to think about recommending the book. Definitely not like the first book I read from this author.
Who wouldn’t want to marry Prince Charming? She agreed to a fake marriage and couple of kids, but her fairy tale wasn’t a magical dream come true. It was raw and messy and real. Liam and Avery’s journey to find their happily ever after stumbled over many obstacles and tested their true devotion to each other at every turn. It was an emotional roller coaster read that had my attention until the very end.
Ok, my whole family is caught up in CORVID-19 insanity (two hospitalized for other reasons, who we cannot visit, and 1 tested positive and in quarantine though no overt symptoms so far). Thank God for good books. It’s what’s keeping all of us sane. Royal Fake is a particularly good one, as I expected since I can count on anything written by Sarah J. Brooks. Highly recommended for fun ... and sanity saving.
