Where do I start?? What a brilliantly bizarre, horrific, brutal, disturbing, funny, twisted, gross collection!! I loved every story! Stand outs for me were Meth Gator, War of the Wildflowers and The Long Winter Ahead!! Im going to do my review with a few words for each story....
Meth Gator by Lucas Milliron: Straight off the bat, cringe out loud! 😲 Brutal and funny!!
The Road Crossed The Chicken by Jay Wilburn: A twisted tale, literally! Brilliantly messed up!
Igloo Made Of Flesh by Zoltan Komor: What lengths would you go to, to keep warm? (Us Brits may have to resort to this fairly soon!!) Disturbing and horrific!
War of the Wildflowers by Arlo Gorevin: Completely, brilliantly bizarre! And sad too..
A Pie-On The House by Patrick Winters: An absolutely great gross out!! 🤢
The People Around You by Lucy Leitner: Complete head-fuck!! Itll blow your mind! 🤯
The Sack Cutter by Nikki Noir & SC Mendes: A brilliant, brutal, painful tale of revenge! (I love when these two authors get together!)
Hell Comes to the Burger Hut by Matt Weber: A bloody, fiery, tale of carnage with a great twist!
The Long Winter Ahead by Thomas K S Wake: Woah!! Awesomely, utterly bizarre and gross!! 🌳
Genital Gorgonzola by Montague White: A delightfully romantic anniversary dinner tale with a really cheesey twist! 🤢 (Just me that read it in The Profs voice?? 😉)
Jezebel by W R Macumber: Brutal retaliation!
Protein by Rachel Nussbaum: You'd think a fingernail in your pizza would be bad enough right?? It gets so much worse! Great twist!
Lost Girl, Found Dog by Daniel Volpe: An awesome, bloody and brutal tale of salvation with a very familiar face! 😉🖤
Apart from Volpe, this was my first introduction to all the other authors included in this Anthology. A lot of really good reads. Particularly enjoyed 'Meth Gator' & 'The Sack Cutter' and of course anything Talia related is a 10/10 for me.
- A man is born with an inverted fishbowl as a head. This anomaly leads to an unfortunate confrontation wherein human nature rears it’s ugly head. - Sacrifices are made for youthfulness and beauty. With these unwilling contributions, gratefulness from family members are given before each and every sadistic ritual. - A serial killer strikes once again, only to find his hunger for bloodlust is one upped by a visitor knock, knock, knocking at his front door.
From a smooth talking bartender whose M.O. is targeting lonely broken females to an arctic intruder with an addiction for frozen flesh-bricks. K. Trap Jones has teamed up with Blood Bound Books to present an anthology of first-rate authors and appropriately named it Welcome To The Splatter Club II. Talents such as Lucas Milliron, Jay Wilburn, Lucy Leitner, Nikki Noir, S.C. Mendes, Matt Weber and Daniel J. Volpe all introduce the reader to multiple stories of bizarre brutality and gluttonous gore.
This mix bag of Bizarro & Splatter reaches beyond the outrageous and towards profound statements of day-to-day living. If you have an appetite for peculiar punishment, an eye-for-an-eye action and human flesh consumption, look no further you just found the mother load of the macabre.
This collection has it all including the KillerCon 2021 Gross-Out Contest Winner, Genital Gorgonzola by Montague White. These stories are as fresh and delicious as pizza pie from Moretti’s Pizzeria. However, I would strongly advise against delivery. - Question: What do you get when you cross a Gator on Meth with a Porn Movie. Answer: Lucas Milliron. A five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Horror Bookworm Recommendation.
Splatter up! Blood Bound Books presents to you Volume II in The Splatter Club Anthology and it is extreme horror at it's finest. From gators fueled with meth, to igloos slathered in flesh. From a satisfying revenge story cleverly crafted by S.C. Mendes and Nikki Noir, to an extreme story with a satisfying finish written by no other than Daniel Volpe. A special guest in the Volpe universe makes an appearance. Wink wink. I enjoyed all thirteen of these stories. This anthology was a great mix of extreme horror, bizarro, folk, and revenge. There were some great twists I didn't see coming. 5 out of 5 blood soaked stars. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
WOW, this is fantastic mix of bizarre, extreme, gory and fun, I loved it!
This is Volume 2, but you don’t need to read the first one to enjoy this one.
Some of these stories will make you laugh, others will make you cry, and one will make you wish that you had not eaten before reading it.(it won the 2021 KIllerCon Gross-Out Contest) I’ve got a very strong stomach, but it made me feel a little green. Lol
There is also a few great revenge stories, some heart felt moments, and a Bizarro story about a guy with an inverted fishbowl as a head.
If you like your horror gory and funny, like The Evil Dead and Idle hands than you are going to love this.
Welcome to the Splatter Club! Inside this anthology you’ll find meth gators, a fan favorite character (Talia, Daniel Volpe) rearing her pretty head, a man with a fish bowl for a head, an igloo of flesh, and much more!
I’m serious when I say it’s hard to pick a favorite story in here, each one is well crafted and completely different from the last. You could read this whole book in a session or two and never lose interest due to the amount of variety inside these pages.
If you’re looking to sample some of indie horror’s shining stars and established names, look no further than this volume of Welcome to the Splatter Club.
Had the pleasure of reading this one over the last two days, thanks to S.C. Mendes and the team at Bloodbound Books for my copy Arlo Gorevin, Lucas Milliron, Nikki Noir, S.C. Mendes, Matt Weber and Daniel J. Volpe, Lucy Leitner, Jay Wilburn all appear in this little gem, along with a handful of other top notch authors. 13 fantastic stories in one book, there's really something for everyone here. Bizarro, zombie, splatter, karma, torture horror.......and one particular story that could have you seeing a return of your last meal. Yes, it's that disgusting, it won an award for being so vile. Go forth on an empty stomach, I beg of you. I really enjoyed this one, hope you guys get your hands on a copy of it, it's well worth it.
