Rory: Mountain Man And Longhunter: Eli On The Revenge Trail: A Western Adventure
The sixth Mountain Man adventure with Mountain Man and Longhunter from Mike Mackessy has arrived!
A visit from an old family friend, the Crow warrior Pale Horse helps Rory’s family battle the family’s enemy, another Crow warrior, Comes the Thunder. We learn the family history that makes one Crow warrior a family friend and the other an enemy.
Two brothers, Eli and Jessie, fight together against the enemies of the family ranch, rustlers. Jessie re-marries, making his life’s work revolve around the family ranch. Trouble on the ranch sees a 67-year-old Rory take on a trouble-making cowhand in a brutal fistfight and win.
Eli does not trust the troublemaker nor his two friends after firing them from the ranch, so he follows them. Meeting a Texas Ranger in a café, Eli decides to ride with the Rangers. He finds something different in the Rangers, besides the new Colt Patterson Revolver—purpose. Eli becomes a Ranger, receiving a new pair of Colts. In Texas, Eli fights rustlers, outlaws, and Comanche Indians.
We see a glimpse of an older Eli after an author of a Penny Dreadful writes a dime novel with Eli as the hero. We see his reaction as he leads a posse of Texas Rangers forward.

Eli proves himself worthy of being Rory's son more than once in this superbly written story!
Another five star extravaganza by Mr. Mackessy, as Rory his son's and their endearing cowboys, bring peace and justice to their beloved ranchlands! This fast moving series of unending gunfighting excursions is easy to follow, as well as bringing justice to those responsible for their ongoing misdeeds!
Mr. Mackessy's superbly descriptive storylines definitely assured his readers to be completely entertained immediately and only intensifies with each new adventure! Too, his exceptionally selections of descriptive characters are unsurpassed in their respective assignments from the very beginning until the final paragraph has been read!
Definitely recommend this compassionately motivated story to all, but you western fanatics will definitely enjoy this mountain family members throughout their defense of property and their employees! You non-western enthusiasts will also be intrigued enough to maintain the following of this compassionately family, as they reveal the true disasters our true old western families faced in settling our old American frontier!!!😃

Whenever I read a book, I'm looking for two things, pleasure and knowledge. Mackessy fulfills both, enjoyably. His stories entertain while giving glimpses into the rugged lives of our forefathers. There's a sense of confident perseverance shared by everyone attached to Rory Yellowstone's ranch. Different cultures and talents come together to build a life in pristine wilderness and now in New Mexico Territory. Well done.
