Cara Winston has always been a bit of a rebel and an adrenaline junkie. As a helicopter pilot and paramedic, she relies on that to do her job.
When Cara and her team respond to a multi-vehicle accident involving motorcycles, she’s expecting the worst. What she’s not expecting is to find herself intrigued by the blue eyes of a man wearing motorcycle gang colors.
Ryan Vigilante rides the road, mostly on two wheels, not four. When several of his club end up in an accident on the highway, Ryan never expects to see a future in the eyes of the intense female paramedic. The only problem is, she’s way out of his league, and he knows that getting involved with her could only put her in jeopardy.
With Cara’s family trying to keep them apart and Ryan’s club breaking the law, Cara finds herself more of a rebel than usual. Will things work out for Cara and Ryan, or will Cara’s law enforcement brother, Ethan, find a way to put a stop to it for good?

I didn’t want to put this book down once I started reading. Cara is a wonderful nurse and pilot. That had to be such a thrilling and exciting job. I loved how close her family was even though they drove her crazy at times, especially Ethan who was a cop. On one of her flights, Cara had to attend to a gang club patient and that was how she met Ryan or “Vigil” as the club called him. It was crazy how Ryan and Cara had an instant attraction. It was so hard to believe Cara wanted to hang around with someone from a dangerous gang club. Her family, especially her brother Ethan, was so concerned that they kept saying things to her. It was hard for me to see her hanging with Ryan and the club. Cara could see something good in Ryan. I could see good things too and then he would do something that really bothered me. This was an emotional book for me that I loved. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy an voluntarily wrote a review.
This series, a spinoff of the much loved series title, Loving a Young, belongs to Cara Winston and Ryan Vigilante. Cara is a respected helicopter pilot and paramedic and is very proud of her accomplishments. When she’s called to an accident involving a motorcycle club, she never expected that her life would forever be change. There she meets one of the members, Ryan. An enforcer for the club. As the attraction and a relationship intensifies, so does the danger that surrounds them. Cara and her family question her decisions to get involved not only with Ryan but also with the club. What happens when her jobs are in jeopardy? What happens when she fears she is being used? Who really is Ryan? As engaging as the plot was, and the characters well develop, I must confess that it wasn’t until I had read the first third of the book that I truly allowed myself to enjoy it. Not because of the author, but because I am neither a fan of motorcycles nor motorcycle clubs real or fictitious. That said, I knew this talented author would deliver a story worth my time. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Aw I love this book so much! I grew attached to the Winston's through the tiny glimpse we got in the Young Series and I was so excited for this one. Cara is a certified badass! I adore her so much. She's strong, independent, intelligent and a good person. Ryan is a complex guy that has been through a lot and is still going through it. I loved the action of the book, the dynamics of the characters themselves as well as with the supporting cast. The twists and turns were subtle and while I could see some of them coming, not quite all of them and I appreciate that. This story is going to have great world building and a lovely balance of telling one couple's story while giving you glimpses of a family that keeps growing. Can't wait for more!
This was one hell of a ride from start to finish! I absolutely loved the loving a young series and was anxious to read this spin off and it did not let me down. Cara is our first Winston and her story is exciting, gripping, scary in places and boy was it hot and super steamy! Cara is a helicopter pilot and paramedic and Ryan is in a biker gang who breaks the law and I Loved their story. We meet new people and welcome back some old friends and now I anxiously await the next book!

First book in the series so go grab your copy today and immerse yourself in this fabulous world!! Meet and fall in love with this Winston family!!
I loved the Young series by this author but I think the Winston series may become my favorite. Cara is a strong, independent, self-sufficient woman who knows what she likes and trust her instincts. She's a former Army helicopter pilot. Vigil/Ryan is a member of the local outlaw MC. As I reader I knew something else was going on with him. He's former military These two meet at an accident scene - she as a paramedic on the helicopter team; he has a victim in tge car accident. Their attraction is almost immediate. Their chemistry comes off the pages. They both don't necessarily think straight when the other is around. This book has everything - wonderful characters, family drama, mystery, hotness, action and hidden secrets. This series will be one you'll devour as each book comes out.
Cara, book 1 of a fantastic new series. It has so much heat, action and, suspense. Cara is an amazingly strong woman. She is a flight paramedic and a private helicopter pilot. To me Cara is one bad a@@ b@tch. Ryan is another bad a@@. He is in the Nightmares, a rough MC club. I wanted to get to the end so bad to find out what would happen. However, I didn't want it to end. I can not wait to read the book 2 in this amazing new series.
This book is a wild ride from the beginning. Cara is as strong and independent as you could want in a main character. Ryan is the epitome of the MC band boy, but not everything is adding up. A wonderful read.
Stacy does it again. Another series that you will enjoy as the members of the Winston family find their happy ever after. Cara will have you hoping that she will come out on top after trouble comes her way.
Out of all the series I've read from this author, this one is going to be my favorite. It has more action, suspense, undercover work, heat and HEA. Cara is a paramedic/chopper pilot and Vigil/Ryan/Brian is an FBI undercover against the motorycycle gangs. But no one knows not even Cara. Her brothers which are cops give her heck, even they don't know what he's doing. This is edge of seat reading and I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspense.
Wow What a thrilling read. I'm not a lover of MC gangs/bearded guys with long hair/motorbikes...but this book blew me away. There is so much action and suspense it will keep you enthralled from beginning to end. Thoroughly good read. Loved it!
This author always gives a good storyline and wonderful characters. This is no exception. The story was a page turner for me in two different ways. First, it was so interesting I didn’t want to put it down. The other reason it was a page turner was I don’t care for steamy books, and this is one of them. I enjoy the author so I read them and just skip a few pages.
This book is about Cara Winston who is a helicopter pilot and paramedic. She loves her job with all the excitement that goes with it. In one of her emergencies she is helping out with was a multi-vehicle and motorcycle accident. As she is doing her job, she meets Ryan Vigilante, a member of the game. Cara was memorized by his good looks and gorgeous blue eyes. Cara and Vigil (his gang name) end up enjoying each other but it’s a very dangerous place to be in with a motorcycle gang. All her family and friends warn her to stay away from him but she certainly doesn’t want to do that. She ends up getting more involved with the group and Vigil is doing his best to protect her. As you read, you get the feeling somethings up with Vigil and as the story goes on there is a lot going on with him. I look forward to reading more of the Winston series.
This is a fast-paced and exciting novel and I found myself on the edge of my chair as paramedic Cara Winston is sucked into the lives of a motorcycle gang. Her brother is determined to extract her from a relationship with Ryan Vigilante, but trying to persuade his sister only makes her more determined to pursue the attraction that has flared up between them. The romance between Ryan and Cara is dynamic and the background to the plot is suspenseful as Ryan works to uncover the truth about the death of his late fiancé. The book is well written and kept my interest throughout but it is horrific in parts, bringing to light the culture and code of motorcycles gangs. The novel comes to an explosive conclusion but does give Cara new options and a future where she can find what she desperately needs. I received a copy of this romance as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Cara Winston is a parademic and helicopter pilot. She meets Vigil, member of an MC gang, at the scene of an accident. They seem drawn to each other, but her brother Ethan, detective, is furious that she is seen with Vigil. But she cannot seem to be away from him. Things get very hot and heavy with them both, but is everything as it seems to be with Vigil? He is the most handsome and hottest man she has ever met in her life and their bedroom antics are off the charts. What secrets are he keeping from her? Who is killed in a gun fight? What does she do for the club? Will she lose her job? Another very highly recommended story from this very talented author.
A great suspenseful start to this spin off series of stories. There were many times that I felt like yelling at Cara and asking what she was doing getting more and more involved with Ryan who road with a tough biker gang. I guess I sounded a lot like her detective brother Ethan. But Cara knew in her heart and soul that Ryan wasn’t the violent outlaw that he seemed to be with the biker gang the Nightmares. I knew there would be heartbreak in this story and I couldn’t see how there could be a happy ending for flight medic Cara and biker gang member Ryan. That and just how the story kept unfolding in layers kept me sucked into finding out everything as soon as possible.
A good story with both predictable and unpredictable twists. Cara Winston is both a copter pilot and a flight paramedic. Vigil, Ryan Vigilante, is a bad-boy, chopper type. Their lives become tangled as events go bad around them.
I found plenty to speculate as I proceeded through the story. Some things I got correct. Others, I got wrong. Overall, a good and interesting story.
Cara was always the wild one in her family. Now at 38 she's much calmer and has a great career as a paramedic and part time pilot. Everything is going good for her until she meets Vigil while on the scene of a motorcycle accident. Everything about Vigil says he a "DANGEROUS NO"! Too bad she doesn't listen! Unfortunately being with him not only can cost her the jobs she loves, but also possibly her life! Great read that captured my attention from the get go! Loved the story line - full of romance, mystery, bad boys and surprises!
I didn't expect this story to turn that way and especially the end wow ! Stacy Eaton was able to throw me off guard for sure with Cara and Ryan ! I just love how she can mix romance with steamy scenes , drama and a little of mystery with fiction and reality always with a touch of law enforcement or military. I just loved it ! Cara is independent, has a great career and a tight family with over protective siblings. When she meets a MC hotty on the site of an accident one look into his eyes will change her life forever.
what a great read! suspenseful with twists and turns. I love that the author linked two series. The Youngs and Winstons have been family friends for years and are close. Cara's story starts the Winston's series and what a start. Cara is typical former bad girl who is confident in who she is. There is so much to like about this book. loved the suspense, drama, and family scenes.
Note - while the books can be read as stand-alones you get so much more if you read in order.
Stacy Eaton starts this series the way she means to go on - with a bang. Cara, a helicopter paramedic, meets Ryan, a biker with a secret, at a crash scene. Every other time they meet after this is electric and after everything that they go through that they get their HEA . Can't wait to read the rest of this series now.
I really liked "Cara" by Stacy Eaton. I'm a big fan of this author and her writing style. Her books are full of surprises, twists, and turns along the way. This one is a spin-off from one of her other fantastic series and I'm sure I will become just as big of a fan of this one as well. Overall a great read that is quick. Would make a nice addition to your book collection. Happy Reading...enjoy!
This is the first in a new series and it's a great start. MC stories are one of my favorites, so that's a plus for me. The story line is a little different and pulls you from the beginning. We learn the reason Vigil is who he is and why he does everything he can to protect Cara. Well written and edited as always from this author. I received an ARC for an honest review.
A tough and independent helicopter flying woman meets a bad boy motorcycle club member. Sparks fly at the start as they are drawn to each other even though they are so different . Her brother, the cop does not make it easy for her. As she is drawn into the club things are not as they seem and her biker boy is not what he seems
This story flowed so well, and I was hooked from the beginning. I have not read the series prior to this, The Young's, but I didn't feel lost at all when characters from those books were mentioned. Cara and Vigil were well developed characters and we slowly got to see what made them who they were. Lots of feels involved and parts were so realistic, a really good way to spend a day.
Another compelling read by Stacy! Saving lives, having your families back, finding love only to find out you were just being used!! Kept on the edge of your seat until the very end, you will have all the feels.
A passionate love story. Is it wise for cara Winston to get involved with Vigil, a biker from a dangerous gang? Their passion makes her forget everything but Vigil. But can they have a future with the danger surrounding them?
OMG. What a ride! Could not put this book down. Cara knew that she wanted something that could go very very wrong but Vigil was an addiction that she couldn't let go of and Vigil knew that he should not involve Cara but was addicted to her. What a beginning to a new series!
