Confused or curious about all the modernistic movements and weird stuff that is happening everywhere in the world? This book has it covered. Mark runs through various movement spectrums by using his "Trench" theory (hence the title) to inform the average believer on how to approach these issues from a Biblical perspective.
He starts off with a historical rundown to give context and multiple perspectives from all sides and shows that modern day movements (feelings, soft) are a result of rejecting the previous era of ideologies (truth, hard).
From the false dichotomous caricaturing of God's own character (due to misreading Scripture), egalitarian vs complementarian ideas, eventual tyranny on the liberal side, secular foolishness as a result of rejecting/supressing God, to the rise of safetyism from overt censorship in a trigger-sensitive world. This book has it all, almost...perharps.
