Texas has spent a year mourning his best friend. A year of booze and bad decisions. He’s not ready to put that on hold, but when his president orders him to play babysitter for a friend’s brother, he really has no choice. Though, Sawyer is nothing like he first assumed. What he thought was a snobby rich boy turns out to be a kind and funny man who awakens a part of him he didn’t even know was there. A part that wants Sawyer with a fervor.

When Sawyer discovers that his boyfriend is the worst kind of criminal, he calls his sister for help. Her motorcycle club sends him to the King’s Disciples to keep him safe. Sawyer's focus should be on staying alive and laying low, but how is he supposed to help himself when the sexy straight guy protecting him keeps looking at him in a not so straight way? He knows he’s playing with fire, but one look into those baby blue eyes and he doesn’t care if he gets burned.

The small hope of a future together grows bigger with each day, but with a psychopath hunting Sawyer, and Texas still learning to live with his loss, is a relationship even a possibility?

The focus of this series is definitely romance, but it does have a tiny little side-plot with the motorcycle club, and usually one or two of the MCs being in danger or trouble.
In this case I thought the story would be a bit more angsty considering Texas was drowning in alcohol due to the loss of his best friend a year ago, and Sawyer was being hunted by his ex-boyfriend who ended up being a human trafficker. It wasn't, though. It was all rather light-hearted and fun. Not a lot of depth here.

The relationship between Texas and Sawyer started out with a lot of teasing and banter; Texas identifies as 'straight' at the beginning of all this, so they have a friendly vibe at first. I personally didn't see the use of Texas thinking he was straight; it didn't add to the story, but I suppose it's a recurrent theme to make biker guys think they're straight at first (even if many of their friends already identify as gay or bisexual). Luckily Texas didn't make a big deal out of it, though, so it's whatever.
Anyway, as I said, Texas and Sawyer mostly have a fun relationship; there's no drama or angst, it's just them joking around, being happy, and having lots of sex (the sex could have been a little less in my opinion).
They were both pretty sweet and likable, and they had a good dynamic. I liked them together, even if it wasn't anything super special.

The King's Disciples MC series keeps getting better and better. Texas is asked to protect Sawyer an ally of the Disciples. Sawyer is being hunted by Ryan, his ex. Ryan is into human trafficking and Sawyer just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Texas is grieving for his brother and he is straight but after seeing Sawyer he starts questioning his sexuality. The chemistry between these two can be seen from start to finish and their sexy times are hot. The book is romantic, action-packed, funny, and I loved seeing Jace and Ares. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. has

*This review was translated into English via electronic means.

I've been too lazy to write reviews lately.

I've been too lazy to write reviews in general. Especially when it comes to writing that uses convenient situations to justify actions or results in a more blatant way. A rant.

This was a 4-star book, with a hint of a 2 and thinking about a 3.

Let's go.
This book was average on my scale of average books. I realize that when trying to create a simple story that would appeal to a wider audience, the author leaves something to be desired, not delving into the themes she used in the books (yes, books). It's as if there was no effort or creativity or ability to develop the theme she proposed.

At this point in the game, for me, every theme I read is already overdone. Some I simply abandon and most I consume like water. Although there are days when I forget to drink water. Details. So, I don't mind repetitions most of the time, but I expect an improvement in the quality of the story when I read that theme in another book or another. Nothing is created, everything is recreated or even worse, copied, that wasn't the case here, just another complaint. This had everything to be good, BUT..., it was average of average. Ex-psychopath stalker, not developed. Backstory (human trafficking), not developed. Alcoholism, magical cure by dick. Trauma due to the violent loss of a best friend, cured with a blowjob. Relationship of the MC member with the other members, not developed. And so on.

And as a good shameless reader, despite all this, I didn't dislike the book. It hits me.

As an author, I would make an effort to read the reviews, especially the ones that criticize, so that based on them I can improve my writing. Of course, there's no way to please everyone, but that's not what this is about. Not about rude people belittling the work of others, but about readers who like and care about that work and want to continue consuming material from that writer. I intend to continue the series, but I am aware that I will receive more of the same, like the previous one, or worse, but I hope that the author will improve in his next projects.

And that was it:
Sawier caught his boyfriend, who he believed was cheating on him, trading women (human trafficking). The then boyfriend, who turned out to be a psychopath, threatened him, but he was saved by the Kings, who came to his rescue and placed him under the protection of the Diciples. Why? I don't know. It's a convenience of the story. Texas is suffering from the loss of his best friend who died violently a year ago. He drinks, drinks and drinks, and no one does anything. Why? I don't know. Maybe they don't know how to read the statute they themselves created, who knows. Convenience. Yes, he is suffering. But how do you say family, but no one tries to help? Go figure. Well then. Texas is hired as Sawier's bodyguard, against his will, but soon finds himself charmed by him, his lame jokes and his lack of tact, arrogance and pride. A rosemary. If I were me, I would give him back to the ex. From then on, they develop a relationship hidden from everyone, where they make out like dogs everywhere, but no one sees. Like I said, convenience. In the end, everyone knew, but there was no talk about it, since they are an outlaw motorcycle club with a firm statute created by the King's who needed to vote even to see who was the book of the moment. Complicated. Let's not even talk about the double awakening, because I'm already tired of it.

BUT..., I liked the book. LOL

Texas is an excellent addition to the King's Disciples MC series and I loved it. It is well written, gritty, sweet, emotional, super sexy, funny, intense, the characters are amazing and I was fully engaged from the first page to the last. I love Sawyer so much and his reaction to some of the MC clubs customs is absolutely hilarious. Texas has not been doing well since the loss of his best friend and the last thing he wants to do is babysit Sawyer when he finds himself in a dangerous situation. They are complete opposites but they are also perfect for each other and I love how their relationship develops. Texas has never been attracted to a man but Sawyer quickly becomes everything to him. I like that Texas is so accepting of his feelings for Sawyer and that they both are determined to find a way to be together. I love the relationship Sawyer has with his sister even though the reason they are so close is not so great. The ending is perfect, the secondary characters are wonderful and I can't wait to read the next book in this engaging series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

I loved this! I honestly expected the book to be more angsty, considering Texas's bitterness and grief, and Sawyer's finding out about his ex bf criminal dealings. Instead I had a grin plastered on my face for most of the story.

Sawyer's reactions to biker club life and his initial interactions with Texas were hilarious. These two men clashed, snipped at each other and played pranks, all the while attracted to one another. Their relationship evolved through banter, doubts, heated kisses and passionate love making, and touching heart to heart moments. They were funny, sweet and hot, and I simply adored them together.

The danger to Sawyer's life added suspense to the plot, the angst to a minimum, so the book as a whole was lighthearted and entertaining. And, the Disciples and their friends were as fun to be around as ever. Can't get enough of these guys and I look forward to seeing them again next in this series.

Loved this book! I am a big fan of gfy books but often the “straight” main character keeps insisting on proving how straight he is to the point of annoyance until he just can’t deny his feelings but Texas was not like that. Don’t get me wrong, Texas did fight what he felt for Sawyer, but he didn’t go out of his way to try to convince himself and others that he is straight. Texas was able to be affectionate towards Sawyer in private and, once he was ready to deal with his feelings for Sawyer, he was willing to show it in front of others. Watching Texas fight his demons as he dealt with the guilt and grief towards losing his best friend gave depth to the story and it was sweet watching Sawyer help Texas deal with his grief. I enjoyed catching up with some other members of King’s Disciples and am looking forward to more books in this series.

Texas and Sawyer are unlikely couple and on paper shouldn't have met let alone clicked as they did. Texas has spent the last year mostly drunk because he's heartbroken and feels guilty for losing his best friend the brother from another mother. Sawyer thought he was catching his boyfriend cheating on him and knew his heart would break but he just needed to confirm it - however what he finds is so much worse.
I liked how they met and the forced proximity aspect worked well here. I also liked how Texas handled himself even with the changes he come face to face with. I loved how out of loop Sawyer was of MC life even though his sister is in it.
I was left craving for a real "toaster" moment on this one.

Sawyer fell in love with the wrong person. Being a successful man he thought his life with Ryan was good until it wasn't.  Ryan was into human trafficking  Sawyer was at the wrong place at the wrong time and now he is in hiding, He saw too much and now he's a marked man. His sister, an enforcer for the Salvation Kings has called in a favor to the Disciples. Take care of my brother and Texas was given the task
There is something about Sawywr that draws  the very straight, or not so straight Tex in. As they get to know each other Tex realizes he is drawn to this man like he has never been drawn to anyone. Can he keep Sawyer safe? Another awesome book in this spin-off series ❤

Texas and Sawyer make an interesting and intriguing couple. The two are completely different yet it works to their advantage. The two are brought together when Sawyer is in need of personal protection. Tex finds a sense of purpose in providing protection and learns something new about himself in the process. The Kings make cameo appearances and the line between right and wrong is blurred as is to be expected in a MC book.

Sawyer was too easy to fall to Texas' arms after just broke up with his boyfriend for 6 months. Maybe because he didn't love his ex in the first place. Sawyer relationship with Texas was pure sexual at first but turned into romantic but to me, theirs was shallow. It lacking deep emotional bond between 2 lovers and I'm shocked that Sawyer wanted to go bare when he had sex with Texas for the first time, he really really trust Texas and madly in lust with him.

awesome author

Never thought I’d be into a book like this. But the story line was amazing and Texas and Sawyer together was HOT. This book had it all. A great story line, characters you love and so much action and drama. I ended reading the whole thing in one sitting. I’m off to grab the rest of the series.

Texas was great

I didn’t like Sawyer so judgemental especially towards people keeping him safe. He did get better throughout the book though. Texas was great, just was hot and cold with his muncho. They were an okay couple.
Nice updates on side characters.

Not a great book but I loved Tex & Sawyer. It took me a while to remember who the other characters were (and I still can’t remember how Pope died) but it was a fun fast read.

I was happy to see Texas get his HEA after the pain of losing his best friend in the previous series. This world is really well done.

Tex and Sawyer stole my heart - these two were beautiful together.

Tex surprised me when he went with the flow instead, of going into panic mode when he figured out he wasn’t as straight as he thought.

I really enjoyed this book - definitely one of my favourites.
