Malia Evergreen is a confident, gorgeous single woman who had amazing friends and family, and a career she was passionate about. She ran her own media company with her best friends where she worked as an advertising representative. She had it all, except that special someone. She still hadn’t found her soul mate, and after many dating disasters she wasn’t sure if her person was out there. As her family continues to pressure her to settle down, she finds herself in need of a plus one. She makes a deal with the most unlikely choice, and a man who drives her crazy. She’s worked with Mr. Matterson for the last year. He’s been a huge client, but they always clash. He annoys her and likes to give her a hard time. The infuriating, ruthless, arrogant, sexy billionaire is a control freak, but no man has ever looked at her the way he does. She can’t deny their physical chemistry or the way she responds so intensely to him. When they spend more time together will she begin to see a new side to this irritating, persistent alpha?

Palmer Matterson is a powerful, polished CEO that runs a successful wedding planning empire in Manhattan. He’s not one for relationships, but he’s developed a huge crush on a stunning woman he’s built a business relationship with. Malia fascinates him and challenges him at every turn. Something about her calls to him on every level, and he can’t quit thinking about her. He’s wanted her since he first laid eyes on her, and is ready to make his move and win her over. When he decides to fight for her, will she finally give him a chance to show her how good they could be together?

So It Goes by Jennifer Probst is the second book in the Twist of Fate series. Two lonely, attractive, successful, intelligent people share a connection and give in to fate. It’s a slow burn, fake dating, enemies to lovers, office romance full of chemistry and fabulous banter.

It’s been awhile since I have read this author so I was looking forward to reading her again. This might be a case of me and not the book. I really thought I would love but it was just okay. There are not too many heroines that I have disliked over the years but Malia was just too stubborn and it didn’t come off as likable. Then there was Palmer who I really liked in the beginning but then he turned too perfect. The whole “she not wanting to date him” and he “wanting to date her” got redundant. I will say that I enjoyed Malia’s girlfriends and Malia’s journey to retrieve her eggs. The story did end with an HEA but it just took awhile.

slight, very slight improvement over the first book but I think overall this author's voice doesn't work for me.

My biggest issue with this one is that the hero was incredibly emotionally available while the heroine refused to even consider him as a possible love interest for the longest time.

For some reason, Malia, the heroine had long considered Palmer to be a pain in the ass client. So much so that she was super happy to no longer be his main contact for his account because she was moving over to the non-profit foundation arm of her company.

Mind you, we only get one example of a meeting between Malia and Palmer and in true romance fashion it is all bantery and verbal sparring with lots of inner thought about sexual moistness from Malia. So we are really never shown why Palmer is such a PITA for Malia.

Knowing she would no longer be on his account, Palmer finally asks Malia for a date. She turns him down flat.

When circumstances force them together again, Palmer is happy and tries to manipulate events in his favor so that Malia stays in his orbit. His does all this with full disclosure. Malia is still very resistant.

On the horizon, both have weddings coming up and no Plus one to appease their families who both respectively stay all up in their business. Wonder how that will resolve itself? (No I really don't because, duh, they will fake date).

But before all that, Palmer and Malia get closer and bond even though she still continues to refuse to date him until she is forced to via the all might gods of the fake dating trope.

Another frustrating read imo, where we had seen and heard Malia's dating woes. She never has a good sate, she gets stood up or the men are jerks etc. etc. She has stated how lonely she is and how she really wants to go out with a good guy. And yet, one is in front of her, she has known him, and a he is making it plain he really likes her and wants to get to know her better and she refuses.

The story could have been stronger had we gotten any real foundation as to why she didn't like Palmer or that her biggest fear that he was 100% opposed to marriage and children were affirmed by him, but like the last book this was an exercise in frustration as I struggled to understand the conflicts being strewn in the way of the romance. They would be viable if a foundation had been laid, but that wasn't the case so they just felt like they were there for because there had to be a reason to keep the couple apart.

Not bad, but not great.

Welll... I'm not so sure what to say.
Just like book one, this didn't grab me the way Jennifer's books usually do.
I don't know what it was. Again it felt a bit old-ish. Like it was written in 1991. And it was a bit too... no idea. I wanted to stop reading several times in the first 25%. First of all Malia got on my nerves so badly. Her constant anti-Palmer talk. She was just horrible. I wanted to throw her out the window! And Palmer is not much better. We kinda love him - the hot billionaire type - but he's way too pushy in his pursuit of her. She says no once, okay, try it again. But after 3048 nos, walk away dude! And then he prays before dinner! Religion is a hard limit for me in books - I just hate it.
I don't know why this series seems so different to Jen's other books.
I kept on reading and it was cute and sparky and fun - but this will not be my favorite series.
But I will still read the 3rd book! Ford & Tessa!
The most interesting scenes are the ones with the girls' adopted dad Mike and teacher Emma! And I liked that we get to meet people from five of Jen's books for a second. (She did that to celebrate her 50th book release!)

SO IT GOES was another cute and sparky romance in this new series! READ IT!

This is the second book in the Twist of Fate series. Since I didn't read book one, I can honestly say it can be read as a stand-alone novel. This book features two people who are feeling pressured by their respective families to settle down with the "one." Although, in the case of Malia, she has given up on waiting for the "one" and is actively pursuing fertility treatments to take the pressure off of finding the one. Both need dates to family weddings, so they agree to be each other's fake dates. However, there's just one problem. Well actually many problems but the biggest might be that Palme actually does want to date Malia and she's just not that into him. Or is she?
This was a fairly enjoyable contemporary romance by Jennifer Probst and it happens to be her fiftieth book, so she sprinkled in some characters from past books through the story. Although I will admit that I didn't like this book as much as some of her other novels only because I didn't really like the characters as much as I would have liked. There were just too many instances of Malia saying no to Palmer's requests for dates, almost like she was being pushed into dating him.

Absolut perfection!
I simply couldn't put it down. And this was not a short story!

This is Malia's book, part of the Quench founding members. They run a site dedicated to women, bold, inclusive, always diving into their everyday problems. She is happy to finally tell the collaborator she loathes that she will pass her job to a colleague. She wants to focus on the Quench Foundation.

Turns out he was insufferable in a childish way, enjoying their banter too much. But their chemistry is off the chart and they both give it their best to niggle the other one. Palmer realizes quickly his game was wrong and so begins a long journey of him trying to convince Malia to give them a chance.

There is no sentence useless in this book. There is no scene too much. It is written to perfection. The build up is sassy and wonderful, their getting close is heartfelt and respectful and their love making is sizzling. This book is pure beauty and romance.

There are the friends that are family, the families that are not that bad, the little children, the funny employees, the heartwarming cause, Malia's fertility journey that was so interesting to read, this book had so much substance and so much beauty. It was an absolute pleasure to get immersed into this book and Kate's appearance with her gift simply melted my heart.

I received a copy of this in order to offer my personal view on it.

Unfortunately this fake date romance didn't work for me.
I liked the premise (fake dating is one of my favorites) but the romance fell flat for me.
The characters didn't really have any chemistry and I felt the heroine was being pressured to "fake date" the hero. The romance between them felt forced which took me out of the story. I did not like the hero at all. I felt that he was almost forcing the heroine to date him which makes him icky in my opinion.
I did like the inclusion of the heroine's fertility treatments and her thoughts/feelings about it. This plot line felt modern and unique. I also liked how it was written.
I also felt too much time was spent on side characters. This was time that could have been spent on developing the romance between the main characters.
Overall, I was disappointed with this book since I've heard good things about Jennifer Probst.

Thank you to Montlake Publishing and NetGalley for this eARC!

I've heard good things about Jennifer Probst romances so I decided to request this one on NetGalley. The premise of the book was good, however the characters fell flat for me. Their romance felt a little off and kind of forced to me and I didn't feel connected to either of the characters. Too much time was spent on the build up of getting Malia to go on the date and that plot point went on long enough that I began to get tired of it. I did like the inclusion of Malia's fertility treatments and the emotions she felt surrounding that. That subplot felt timely and relevant to me. I would definitely try another Jennifer Probst book, but this one overall did not do it for me.

SO IT GOES is the second instalment in Jennifer Probst’s contemporary, adult TWIST OF FATE erotic romance series focusing on three friends (Chiara, Malia, Tessa) who own Quench, a women’s online magazine. This is thirty-two year old, advertising rep Malia Evergreen, and forty year old,CEO of Endless Vows Bridal Company billionaire Palmer Matterson’s story line. SO IT GOES can be read as a stand-alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous storyline is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Malia and Palmer) SO IT GOES follows the acrimonious relationship between thirty-two year old, advertising rep Malia Evergreen, and forty year old,CEO of Endless Vows Bridal Company billionaire Palmer Matterson. For approximately one year, Quench has been the primary online advertising firm for Palmer Matterson’s Endless Vows Bridal company but the business relationship between Palmer and Malia is tempestuous, at best. For some reason, Malia Evergreen took an instant disliking to our story line hero, a disliking that has affected their relationship going forward. Preconceived notions about the billionaire businessman haven’t set well with Malia Evergreen but when Malia left Quench to work for a non-profit organization, she quickly discovers her first big client is the man the pushes all of her buttons. Forced to work together for a cause, Malia continues to struggle with her attraction to a man she doesn’t like but a man who is about to propose a mutually beneficial arrangement. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Malia and Palmer, and the fall-out as Malia and Palmer want something different going forward.

Malia Evergreen’s attitude is cantankerous and rude. Our heroine wants nothing to do with Palmer Matterson believing he is an arrogant and self-centered businessman out for himself but Malia’s ideas and feelings are not based in fact, and she continues to battle between head and heart, falling for the man who has stolen her heart. Palmer Matterson has lusted after Malia Evergreen since their first meeting together but Malia’s attitude bordered on abusive whenever they were together. Hoping to change her mind, Palmer offers a solution, a fake-relationship for public consumption but a relationship that is about to turn into something more.

The relationship between Malia and Palmer begins acrimoniously as Malia wants nothing to do with our story line hero. Her behavior and demeanor is often immature and childish, and it doesn’t bode well for the man with whom she will fall in love. Malia’s temperament is questionable in the face of preconceived notional and a judgemental attitude; Palmer Matterson wants Malia to give him a chance. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are numerous including several members of the charity organization, and Palmer’s assistants Andrea and Emeril, as well as Palmer and Malia’s extended families. We are reintroduced to Malia’s business partners at Quench, Chiara and Tessa, cafe owner Mike, and high school teacher Emma Primm.

SO IT GOES is a story of family, friendships, and relationships; of determination and independence, of acceptance and love. The premise is engaging and enjoyable; the romance is seductive; the characters are charismatic but desperate-Malia’s temperament and perspective did little to endear her to this reader. Similar to Chiara and Sebastian’s relationship and story, the heroine is difficult to like.

Reviewed on behalf of Verve Romance

With a heartfelt story and strong female friendships at its core, So It Goes is a romance that comes complete with banter, lust, a shade of instalove, and an ending that left a smile on my face.

Jennifer Probst gives readers a taste of sweet and sexy as a secretly soft billionaire and a take-charge businesswoman go head-to-head in what can only be described as an unputdownable enemies-to-lovers romance. It was a surprisingly easy and enjoyable read, and from the first page, I wanted to keep reading. So, I did.

I might not have read the first book in the Twist of Fate series (even though I grabbed it . . . can I admit I was scared of the potential for angst? Will you think less of me?), but that didn’t stop me from falling right into the story. I quickly picked up on what I might’ve missed from skipping Meant to Be, and from there, watching Malia and Palmer go back and forth was pretty addicting. I will admit to needing some time to warm up to Malia, but since I had the benefit of knowing Palmer’s side of the story . . . well, it’s probably understandable that I was able to forgive and root for him faster than she did. Right?

This book takes the time to explore the idea of fertility, choice, and ticking biological clocks, as well as a man’s understanding of what women want, need, and deserve. It could have been a storyline that bogged down the book, but instead, it added dimension to these characters, making it that much simpler to simply fall in love alongside them.

Palmer’s relationship with his sisters and the lessons he learned from that made him one extremely endearing billionaire—if perhaps a little pushy at times*—and I was riding the high of this feel-good romance long after I reached The End.

*I confess, I feel like his persistence should bother me more than it did, but my inner feminist seems to get a little giddy at the idea of being irresistible to a silver fox, I guess.

Malia has achieved the professional success she has always wanted but the same can’t be said when it comes to romance. She is done waiting with meeting the perfect man to spend her future with so instead she will focus on becoming a mother even if her methods are unconventional. The only problem is her family doesn’t agree so the way to alleviate their interference is by bringing a suitable date to a wedding she must attend.

Palmer is a successful businessman who isn’t looking for love or a relationship but that doesn’t mean he isn’t attracted to Malia. She intrigues him in a way he has never felt before so when they both need a date for a social event going together seems like the solution to both their problems. The more he gets to know her the more he wants to know and now he is determined to show her that what they feel for each other is very real.

This is a heartwarming story about two people who find love where they least expect it once they open their hearts to the possibilities and each other.

The story
Malia looks after ad sales at Quench, a women’s lifestyle media business. She’s looking forward to letting her most difficult client Palmer know that she is moving across to their foundation. Secretly the chemistry is there for both of them, but Malia needs to focus on her fertility journey and now is not the time to get involved with someone who doesn’t want a family one day.

My thoughts
This is the second book in this series, but it works well to read as a standalone. There is a lot of tension between Palmer and Malia, and he is a strong character, used to getting his own (billionaire) way. I think Malia needs someone that is willing to keep showing up for her, even when the going gets tough. I enjoyed the dual POV, and I especially like the male main character that shows his understanding of women, bakes cakes in his spare time and loves books 😉

I read an eARC copy courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher.

Jennifer Probst has done it again! I absolutely loved So It Goes by Jennifer Probst, it is an incredible love story, and is the second book in her Twist of Fate series. It is a wonderfully written love story. Jennifer Probst has shown that she is an amazing storyteller. I could not put it down and loved every moment on every page. I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. Jennifer Probst did an incredible job of allowing readers to get inside the characters minds, discovering their insecurities, vulnerabilities, passions, fears, and feelings. So It Goes is wonderful love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud and the bittersweet moments that pull at my heartstrings causing me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. So It Goes is filled with such moments, and so much more. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a Jennifer Probst love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. My favorite part is how Jennifer Probst incorporates the title of the book into the love story with a simple statement by Palmer. So It Goes is the story of Malia Evergreen, Advertising Direct of Quench, a digital empire serving women in all aspects of their lives and Palmer Matterson, CEO, and owner of Endless Vows Bridal Agency, a multimillion-dollar wedding empire. Malia is transitioning away from her role as advertising director of Quench and will be working for the newly formed Quench Foundation. Palmer has always rubbed Malia the wrong way during the monthly advertising meetings, and Palmer is disappointed that Malia would no longer be managing the Endless Vows Bridal Agency account. Malia is unaware that Palmer has a crush on her. In her new role at the foundation, Malia’s first charity is the Children’s Hunger Initiative. Unbeknownst to Malia, on the day of her initial meeting the owners of the charity, Palmer is there volunteering. Palmer decides that he wants to donate to the Children’s Hunger Initiative. As Malia and Palmer spend time together things change between them. As they spend more time together, they realize how much they have in common and share secrets that they have not shared with anyone before and realize they may have something more. Palmer and Malia agree to be each other’s plus one at the upcoming weddings of each of their cousins. Palmer knows how Malia feels about love, family (freezing her eggs) and a happily ever after, which is the opposite of his hopes. Jennifer Probst did an extraordinary job of describing the process women go through to freeze their eggs, it was one of my favorite parts of the story. I love that both Palmer and Malia were both so vulnerable with each other. I love the chemistry between Malia and Palmer. I love when Palmer tells Malia how much he loves when she calls him Palmer. I love that Malia changes because of Palmer’s love for her. I loved that So It Goes is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Malia and Palmer are facing that need resolved. I love the characters and the family dynamic in So It Goes, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoy all the interactions among the Malia, Chiara, and Tessa, it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I love all the descriptions of the setting that Jennifer Probst details, it makes me want to visit. My favorite part of the book is the epilogue, I absolutely love how it goes above and beyond the happily ever after, I love Palmer’s proposal. So It Goes is filled with the poignant and bittersweet moments in the story as well as the plot twists, that I love in my favorite love stories. I love the cast of characters in, So It Goes and loved catching up with Chiara, Ryder, and Tessa. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed So It Goes, who does not love a beautifully written love story? Cannot wait to read Tessa’s twist of fate. Highly recommend So It Goes.

Another incredible read by Jennifer Probst. A couple who is totally opposite in where they see life taking them. Malia has not had luck in the romance/relationship department in her life. Now she is taking matters in her own hands. She has decided to freeze her eggs and not wait to find the man she is supposed to spend the rest of her life with and start a family. Palmer wants nothing to do with marriage or kids. They are both very close to their families. Palmer’s sisters and mom want him to settle down, get married and start a family and they are not shy in voicing their opinions. They see right through his attempts with the women he brings to family functions. For his cousin’s wedding he decides to ask Malia. He is very attracted to her and would like to see more of her. Malia also need a plus one for her a family member’s wedding for no other reason but to get her family off her back.
Attending these two weddings Palmer and Malia realize that they actually enjoy each other’s company. Palmer wants to continue seeing Malia. He understands what she is facing with the fertility treatments, and he wants to be there for her, even if just a friend although he would like more.
He is not looking for forever, he just wants to live day to day and enjoy what life brings him. But the more time he spends with Malia the more Malia sees how different they see their futures. How can she allow her feelings to grow for him knowing he doesn’t want a future with her. But sometimes life has a way of changes your plans and your course changes.
Palmer is very supportive of Malia and what she is going through. He wants to be there for her. But will it bring him and his feelings closer to her and make him change how he sees his future or will it have him running for the hills.
I truly enjoy every one of Jennifer Probst’s books. I love how she includes past characters even if just for a cameo appearance. Seeing Malia and Palmer’s relationship grow is what had me glued to every word. I could not put this story down. A 5-star read indeed.

This is book two in the series but can be read as a standalone without any issues. A great story about looking for your forever and finding it where you least expect it. Now the question is will Malia and Palmer be able to open their hearts and beleive in the feelings that you overwhelming them?

Malia is always talking about how she wants the happily ever after with a family and everything but she is having trouble finding her one. Of course her sisters have all managed and she is the only one that isn't attached yet at 32 years old. Determined to be able to have everything when she finds mister right, she is planning to freeze her eggs. She is a strong confident business woman but doesn't see some strong with her pesonal emotions.

Palmer might seem like he has the relationship and love thing all sorted out as the sucessful owner of the top wedding company in the state. He has made a career out of love and happlily ever after. He just isn't expecting it for himself. Sure he has had some relationships but he always seems to step back when the ladies want more than what they currently have. When he meets Malia, he is smitten very quickly but as they are working together he tries to hold back. In doing this he only pushes her futher away.

Will he be able to get her to give him a chance? Will she ever beleive his feelings are true as he says? Could she convince him that marriage and forever with a family might just be what he wants after all?

I did find this book a little slower than most of Ms Probst books I have read in the past. That being said, I did enjoy the story and the characters. Even the nosey side characters.

So It Goes returns readers to the girls of Quench best friends Malia, Tessa and Chiara. Who after suffering the loss of their fourth friend Rory have bounced back and continued to make a success of Quench and Chiara has even found happiness with Ryder.

Now it's Malia's turn but she's a headstrong woman who knows what she wants and after seeing Chiara settle down and her sisters too. She's starting to feel like it's never gonna happen and her ultimate goal in life is to be a wife and mother.

Enter Palmer her nemesis when it comes to business he's cut throat and arrogant and drives her crazy. And vice versa. But he also makes her panties wet. Yet, he doesn't want a happy ever after even though his family think at thirty-five he needs to settle down.

So, the pair agree to fake date to get their families of their backs. But Malia also has a plan to ensure her goal of motherhood is achieved and nothing is stopping that. Not even the sexy Palmer.

Yet, the more time they spend together the more feelings appear. Even though their goals are the opposite. But are they really as opposite as they once thought?

And with a well written charming romance, little angst, and lots of friendship feels. This was a delightful read, and it also happens to be Ms Probst's fiftieth published book. So look out for some familiar faces. But don't worry if you're a newbie like me as they're listed at the end!

What a great story! This one will give you all the feels, as you get Malia's story, and it's an amazing one! 5 stars for this one!
Malia has had one bad date after another, and she feels she's running out of time. She's got ovarian cysts which could play a part in her getting pregnant, so she decides to harvest her eggs now. Her friends are by her side, her family, not so much. They want her to get married and go the traditional route. And to top it off, she's meeting with her least favorite client, Palmer, hopefully for the last time since she's switching roles over to their charity division. He drives her crazy, and she can't wait to leave him behind!
Palmer has had a crush on Malia since she started working his account. He went the wrong route with her though, like a little boy who had the crush and pulled the little girls ponytails! Now that she's leaving, he's in a panic that he'll never see her again, so he comes up with a plan to ask her out to dinner, where she then turns him down. He's in a heap of trouble and needs to fix things before she walks away for good.
Follow their story, as both face pressure from their families about finding the right one and settling down, and also fighting their attraction to each other, which you'll see is off the charts! I loved this story! Grab it asap!

It starts out one book, the enemies to lovers via fake wedding dates. It ends up with a cluster of friends, maybe, plots for more romance novel tropes. And the strong, independent, Malia, jumping the gun. She requires a marriage commitment before dating Palmer, who has been chasing her with endless promises of devotion. She's no saint, as she toys with his affection. She had complained about previous dates, and he's swooning over her, not a bad date at all. Maybe she's been the bad date, all along. I'm unclear about her business and how his wedding planning business gives him a suite in Manhattan, a large staff, top floor of a skyscraper, a mansion, a limo and driver, etc. With all the characters, and their unfolding stories thrown in, it feels manipulative. So, here's a snippet. Read the next book to see if snarky lTessa ends up with sportscaster oaf, Ford.

I am a huge fan of this author. I know that going into one of her books I am going to get a unique take on romance. She always manages to create a story that has her flare and makes it different. The blurb of this story had me excited to see how she was going to put her spin on it. Sadly, this book didn't meet my expectations. I struggled for the first bit of the book, often setting it down for a couple of days before I would pick it back up and start again. That isn't like me when it comes to this author.

For whatever reason, I struggled with the characters, both, individually and together. Malia and Palmer never really leapt off the pages or tugged at my heartstrings. Everything just seemed so natural. Their romance seemed more like settling than actually being with one's soulmate.

That being said, I did like that the author touched up a certain topic and how that affects people experiencing it. That is one of my favorite things about the stories that she writes. While this book might not have been my favorite, I am rounding it up to four stars because once I did get past the first portion of the book, I did become invested to see how the story would turn out and the path it would take to get there.

This is the 2nd book in this incredible series, and this is Palmer and Malia’s story. Malia is confident, career focused, but lonely, after watching all the people around her meet their significant others. Palmer is sexy, arrogant, and a powerful CEO, and does not do relationships, but from the moment he met Malia he has had his eye on her. These two are complete opposites, who butt heads, and challenges each other, but the chemistry between them is undeniable, and when they both need dates for family weddings, they agree to fake date. This is a beautifully written story with family, friendships, romance, intrigue, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining and heartfelt page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I loved this book by Jennifer Probst! I didn't realize it was book 2, but I was able to catch up and really get involved and wish Malia Evergreen would be my friend and I could be a part of Quench! I loved the back and forth between Malia and CEO Palmer Matterson and how they really just came together. I loved how involved Palmer got with the change Malia made in her career path. I would highly recommend this to everyone who needs a happy story and to cheer for the characters!

Thank you Jennifer Probst and Net Galley for allowing me an arc to read and review!

no connect to characters …

3-SO IT GOES
Malia and Palmer were different but there was a spark there. The spark that led Palmer to be a demanding prick to Malia. Malia was tired of it all. She was ready to make the move that would get her out of Palmer's orbit. She just had no idea that a chance encounter would lead them to have so much more to do with each other. That leads them to having something more together. I did not connect with either character. I was finding it a bit difficult to stay on task with this story

Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book for an honest review.

Malia is working with Palmer as an Ad Rep for her company Quench. Palmer is smitten but misjudges his approach. A bit of cat and mouse, misunderstandings and wanting different things make life difficult. I found Malia a little annoying... I'm not sure how often she mentions the path she is taking (no spoilers) but she uses it to push people away.

So it Goes is book two in the Twist of Fate Series and its Malia Evergreen and Palmer Matterson’s fake to real romance. It took me a while to get into this story but I’m so glad I persevered because as the story unfolded I became engrossed in this couples journey.
When Malia needs a date for a wedding because she has told everyone she is dating and she has run out of options she turns to her ex client Palmer. She never dreamed he would actually say yes but he also needs some help so it seems this fake dating may just work out for both of them. Problem is what happens when they really get to know each other, what happens when guards are let down and feelings come into play, can fake become real….one click to find out.
This is a entertaining, heartwarming romance, it has some witty banter and it’s full of love, add in the great characters and you get a great read.

Lovely

Malia is a strong, smart beautiful lead, works with Palmer( hates it). She's finally moving from that work flow, and Palmer has to scramble to let her know his feelings. Unexpected, slow inferno. Palmer is exceptional and focused on her. There are complications and miscommunications. Excellent read.

So It Goes was a quick read for me - hard to put down. Malia and Palmer are both strong and likable characters on their own, and I found myself rooting for them even though they have some conflicts. I liked the way they both grew and evolved throughout the story. Pretty good summer read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake publishing for the DRC.

Yawn! Eye rolls! The h didn’t like the H and I didn’t feel any chemistry between them. The heroine was so resistant with no real reasoning and the H was so persistent it almost became a case of harassment…To make matters worst this was absolutely boring. DNF

DNF at 30 percent. I am all for a slow burn romance, and fake dating is one of my favorite tropes, but my God was this slow. This kind of reminded me of the Spanish love deception where nothing was really happening and it slogged from the first chapter. This is not helping my reading slump lol.
