Galentine's Getaway

Romancing the Mountain Man

Rate this book
A Grumpy Meets Sunshine/Curvy Girl Romance

Paige

There was really no way for me to know that the helpful woman from the sheriff’s office who gave me a camping permit was sending me to camp on her brother’s land in a misguided attempt at matchmaking. Or that he’d be so annoyed when he found me setting up my tent. The barrel-chested, plaid wearing, bearded giant growls and scowls more than he smiles and talks. Still, the whole grumpy mountain man thing is really working for me and all my lady bits.

Camden

I want to think the curvaceous romance author setting up a tent in my backyard is a lunatic. Instead, I can’t stop fantasizing about sneaking into that tent to keep her warm. The military left me too scarred–inside and out–to have anything to offer a woman as sweet as Paige. It doesn’t make me not want her though. When the snow comes and she really does need some warmth, I’m ready to give her my body. Come morning I’ll realize she’s already stolen my heart.

***

What happens at the yearly writer's retreat stays at the retreat...except the bonds these authors forge and the stories they tell. But someone forgot to mention that to the men they find themselves falling for in stunning Lake Tahoe. From the small-town sheriff to the hot, bossy cowboy to the grumpy, reclusive mountain man, these romance authors have stumbled upon real life trope-tastic heroes that sweep them off their feet. Sometimes literally.

Get ready to laugh, cry, and swoon this Valentine's Day when these six authors bring you on a Galentine's Getaway you won't forget. Galentine’s Getaway is a collection of steamy short romances brought to by six of your favorite instalove authors!

Kat Baxter always writes the cutest, yet hottest, novellas and I love everything she writes.

Also can we talk about the FMC's name? Paige Turner. PAGE TURNER. That killed me!

I absolutely loved everything about this read. The ✨ tension ✨ between the MCs was everything and I honestly need all of these gals to get their HEAs. I also need my own mountain man because they are seriously otherwordly. And so so so sexy.

Kat’s sexy scenes are always so well written and the body positivity makes me feel so seen. I can’t wait to continue going through her backlist in 2023!

I was looking for a quick read that would give me what I needed. Add in a mountain man? Plus grumpy/sunshine? Yes, please.

I’d read and loved another book by this author, so I knew going in I would enjoy the writing style. Turns out, I loved the story too. I loved Camden and Paige, they were adorable together.

In just a short amount of time, I was able to get pulled in, fall for the characters, and end the book with a smile on my face.

This was short and sweet and sexy and fun! I would love to read the stories of the other characters in this book, too.

Paige and Camden are funny, sexy, awkward and a delicious Valentine's treat!
Let me get right into it. Paige Turner is a romance author. She is on her yearly author girlfriends getaway and what happens in Tahoe stays in Tahoe. She is getting out of her comfort zone of writing knights and ladies with a change over to mountain men, outdoors and camping. Too bad she has no idea where to begin. So, when the local sheriff gives her a camping permit she is on her way to the great outdoors. Little did she know that this was a crazy scheme to set up Paige with the sheriff's loner brother.
Camden is a big, burly, grumpy mountain man with no time for visitors or small talk, but this curvy little ball of fire just pitched a tent on more than his property.
This couple is sweet, funny, awkward and such a delicious Valentines delight!

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

4.5/5 stars
Paige Turner is a romance author, medieval historical romance, after 14 successful books she’s tired of knights and damsels, she wants to write about mountain men. At a writers retreat in Lake Tahoe she gets to meet a real like mountain man. Camden is former military, injured and scared he’s now home but keeps to himself mostly, when he finds a curvy beauty on his property he demands to know who she is and why she’s pitching a tent on his land. To do real hands on research Paige wants to camp in the snow and do things a mountain man would. The attraction is immediate with them both and it doesn’t take long for them to act on that attraction. Their sexy tent time is hot, I love how he read her book after he met her, loved how he asked about all the different troupes and felt he could definitely identify with the love at first sight and soulmates. They split their time between talking and sexy times, I love yous, a proposal, and a quick Vegas wedding.
Epilogue with her still doing research with all kinds of fun for her sex scenes.
I wish before their first time he had told her his history and clean status, he says he doesn’t have a condom, she says she’s on the pill and has only been with one guy and was tested after. But Paige never asks him about his status. There doesn’t need to be details but he could have said he’s clean, hasn’t been with anyone in weeks, months, years, whatever it’s been for him.
Loved her “punny” name, Paige Turner.

“Just seeing his name makes me roll my eyes. Rex Harrison.
Instant New York Times Bestselling author.
The biggest author to come out of Austin, Texas since … well, me.”

Paige Turner (yes, that’s her real name, not her pen name), just got out of a terrible relationship with a self-centered, egotistical douche!
Unfortunately for her, her ex just hit the New York Times bestselling list and has a publicist that has made it impossible for her to go ANYWHERE without seeing his face…

“I’ve spent the last six years putting words to every fantasy I’ve ever had. And you know I’m not just talking about sexual ones. Those emotional fantasies. The ones where the man you want finally sees you, truly sees you and says all the perfect things.”

Luckily for her, Valentine’s Day is around the corner, so her writing retreat with her best friends is coming up.
Each year, the gals come together, to brainstorm, laugh, have fun and do some much need writing.

“Who are you?” she asks, and I ignore the awe-like tone of her voice.
“The owner of this property,” I growl.
She smiles wider. “Excellent. Do you need to see my permit?”
“Permit? For what?”
“Camping. On your property.”
“Woman, I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.”
“Wow, you are really big, aren’t you?” She comes a step closer, eyes me up and down and then circles me like she’s inspecting a horse.”

OML Paige is so awkward and corky it’s endearing and straight out laugh worthy.

In name of research for her next romance novel, Paige decides to go camping, on an unassuming property, that belongs to no other than the rugged cowboy Camden.

“You’re a romance author, babydoll. Do you believe in love?”
“Yes, of course I do.”
“So then, what part are you struggling with? Believing me or believing you deserve it?”

Camden and Paige romance was cute.
I loved how alpha and jealous Cam could be, but also loved his sweet caring side.
I loved the situations Paige got into and how awkward she could be. And I was particularly pleased that the hero had scars inside and out, that Paige got to see through.

“Seriously, what do I do about her camping in my yard?”
“You do what dad always taught us to do. You get your surly ass out there, help her pitch her tent, and then you make sure she stays safe. I don’t think we have snow coming, but it’ll be cold enough to freeze your balls off. You be the man he raised you to be, Cam,”

The only thing I didn’t like about this book is that it has major spelling and grammar errors. Even things that could be easily spotted with a proof reading.
The beginning of the book is also a little messy and rushed…

Paige and Cam's Story . . .

Paige Turner has joined some of her author friends. Her goal is to do some research for her next book where she can gain some experiences to help improve her writing. She gets some help from a woman she met who works at the Sheriff’s Office, and Cleary provides her with a permit to camp and directions to what happens to be her brother’s private land.

When Cam finds Paige setting up her tent, he wanted to thwart his little sister’s matchmaking effort. He called her to chew her out about the fake camping permit and Cleary crinkles paper into the phone, pretending they had a bad connection as she hangs up on him. He scowls back at Paige and is grumpy, but seeing the huge man disgruntled like that makes him even more attractive to her. He tells her this isn’t camping weather and she will freeze to death in the snow that is coming. But she insists that this is part of her research and she can’t camp in a tent in the snow back in Texas. He likes her better as they banter and argue; but he feels he doesn’t have anything to offer such a sweet person. But when it starts to snow, will he take her into his cabin and keep her warm? And by the time the night ends, will they be on their way to a HEA?

Romancing the Mountain Man by Kat Baxter is book 4 in the Galantine’s Getaway by various authors. Ms. Baxter is a new to me author.

What happens when you get a camping permit that’s not a real one by the woman who works at the sheriff’s office but her attempt to be matchmaker for her grumpy brother..laughter, insta love, author switching genres, baggage for both, and more…you will enjoy Camden n Paige’s story…

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I enjoyed reading this short insta-love story. Although short, I liked that it did not take away from the storyline and the characters were likable. It showed that not all scars are visible and sometimes the invisible ones run much deeper. Great read.

Romancing the Mountain Man de Kat Baxter serie Galentine’s getaway libro 4

Argumento:

Paige

Todavía me a abanico!

Fabulous, I absolutely love this one. It was a nice, quick, short read.

Camden meets Paige when she is pitching her tent on his property. Paige is introduced to Clearly, Camden's sister, when she comes to the author's Galentine's Dinner to asks for autographed copies of their books. Paige asked Clearly if she can recommend some place for her to go camping to experience the great outdoors, since she is a local. She meets her the next day to gets a permit for camping, Camden is chasing Cord, his brother's bull around his property trying to catch him before he hurts someone. He comes upon Paige setting up her tent and asks her who she is, she ask him who he is. He tells her he's the owner of the property, she tells him she has a permit and he doesn't know what she's talking about. He asks to see her permit and finds out his sister Clearly is behind it. So he calls his sister and asks her what this is about and she tells him to be nice to Paige she really likes her, then hangs up. Paige asks him if there's a problem and he tells her what's going on. She tells Camden she is just doing research for her book. Paige asks him if its a problem she is there and he tells her no but he wants to move her tent closer to his home in case of an emergency. They talk as they walk to where Camden wants Paige to set up her tent. Camden calls his brother Cord to tell him about the author setting up a tent on his property while he watches Paige. She gets the whole thing set up, steps inside then it falls on top of her. He tells his brother he's going to go save her, he holds his hand out to her and she takes it. She tells him she not a dumb blonde, he tells her it never crossed his mind. Camden help her set up her tent by holding things in place for her. He asks her why she needs to research camping in the snow. Paige gets the tent set up and is excited then tells him what she wrote before and her ex thought that reading book wasn't research. She tells him she wants to do something new. She gets a phone call from her brother who is looking after her cats, when she hangs up she hears Camden behind her telling her he can't believe her husband let her come camp on a strangers land. She tells him she's not married, that was her brother, he's watching over her cats. He leaves her telling her he'll be inside if she needs anything. She crawls into her sleeping bag and takes a nap, waking to a dream about him, she hopes is real but isn't. When she crawls out she realizes she has to pee, so she sneaks up into his home. After she uses his facilities she runs right into him, as she looks at him she starts to rub at this chest. Then she tells him she's sorry and he ask her for sneaking into his home or molesting him. She tells him both, he storms away then comes back with a pile of clothes and tells her to put them on. They sit on the front porch drinking coffee and watching the snow falling, he notices a car coming up the driving. He tells her it's his ex, and how she broke up with him but still keeps coming around. Paige tells Camden they're going to pretend they're in a fake relationship. She tells him to kiss her, while his ex is getting out of her car. His ex calls his name but he doesn't hear her, he's to wrapped up in kissing Paige. She asks who Paige is and he tells her she's his Valentine. His ex notices he's smiling, he hasn't done that in a while. Then tells him she's glad he found someone to make him happy, she tells them to have a good Valentine's and leaves. Camden sets Paige in front of her tent and she asks him what he's doing. He tells her they have some more research to do and climb into the tent. They hear his ex leaving and they say they think she bought it. He crawls towards her and she asks him what's he doing. He tells her they can do some research, that mountain men like to snuggle. She tells him she didn't know that, he unzips the sleeping bag, opening it up and lets her get in. He climbs in on top of her, she tells him mountain men make excellent blankets at least he does. He tells her he wants to kiss her again, because he wants to. She wraps her legs around his waist and tells him she wants too also. He lowers his head and kisses her, when she rakes her fingers up his back, he stills and sits up. She sits up with him, she reaches out to him but he pulls away. She asks him what did she do, he tells her this is going to change things. He tells her he wants her to see it now rather than when he's inside her, he pulls off his shirt. She asks him what parts is suppose to disgust her, he tells her she doesn't need to pretend that his scars are ugly. She stands and gets naked in front of him, she asks him if he wants to talk about scars look at hers. She asks him if hers are ugly, he tells her she's perfect. She tells him he's perfect too, he tells her he might have to marry her. She tells him all she ever wanted is a man who sees her for her worth. He tells her he knows they are soulmates, then he ask her if she feels it too. She tells him it's terrifying but yes she does, he tells her he loves her and she tells him she loves him too. She tells him she needs him, he tells her to ride him, so she slide him inside of her. He tells her he'd like to take her inside to his bed, she tells him she'd like that. They grab their clothes putting them on and head inside. Her stomach growls so he makes her steak and eggs. He asks her what other things she wants to have first hand experience with, she tells him the list. After they finish eating she asks him if he likes cats, he tells her yes he'll like her cats. They walk into his bedroom and he takes off her clothes and lays her on the bed. He slides his fingers inside of her, then he sucks on her clit. He climbs up to be beside her, then slowly slides inside her. She stays with Camden for a few day, then she gathers her things from the lodge to stay with Camden. She calls her brother to let him know she's extending her stay and Camden wants to meet him. Camden asks her if they can swing through Vegas when they head to Texas. He asks her to marry him and she tells him yes. They get married the following week, this year at the writing retreat everything changed. Six authors went on a writing retreat, and met their own soulmates.

She likes the hands-on research approach

Romancing the Mountain Man is the second book that I’ve read in this series. This one is about Paige and Camden. She’s in Lake Tahoe for a week-long galentine’s getaway with five of her closest friends. Cassia, Zoey, Mina, Clover and Emmy are also fellow romance authors, and they’re there to find inspiration and write. For once, Paige doesn’t have a looming deadline, and is wanting to take her writing in a slightly different direction. Cleary, who is a huge local fan of their books meets them at dinner, and excitedly gets her books signed. When Paige asks her for some advice on a spot to camp, she offers to help Paige out with a spot for her to work from. And that’s where her brother Camden comes in!

When he comes across her camping on his property, he’s not very friendly and welcoming, but he can’t ignore his body’s reaction to how beautiful and spunky she is. They both ogle each other mentally, and it’s so hilarious. He’s grouchy and scowly, but can’t help but be attracted to her, despite his resolve to never get involved again. And she’s cataloguing all of his hot qualities to store in her author bank, and is chastising herself for being a pervert! She comes to the conclusion that she must have altitude sickness, and that’s causing her to suffer from random horniness. Lucky they can’t read each other’s thoughts!

This story is full of humour, emotions, close siblings, wonderful friends, sweet moments and passionate steam. There were so many moments where I laughed out loud and sighed (the swooning kind). The idea of romance author specific foreplay had me in stitches – and intrigued! The last line before the epilogue summed it up perfectly… “Six romance authors went off to a writing retreat and met their own real life heroes… now that’s something to write a book about”. And while I loved this story, I wish it hadn’t ended so soon. Now I can’t wait to read about the next author! I give this book four and three quarter stars.

Paige Turner is at the airport bookstore waiting for her friend Emmy. The are headed to a resort at Lake Tahoe for their annual writing retreat with their group of friends. The six ladies get together in real life once a year. Paige is tired of writing about medieval knights. She wants to go a new direction and write stories about mountain men.

Cleary Decker, who is a local, comes into the lodge restaurant where the ladies are eating. Cleary is a huge fan of the books that these ladies write. She brings a backpack full of their books and asks them to sign them for her. They invite Cleary to sit with them. Paige tells Cleary that she wants to do research there by pitching a tent and camping outside even though it is February. Cleary works for the sheriff’s office and tells Paige that she can get her a camping permit. Cleary also tells Paige that her two older brothers have a lot of land in the area.

Camden and Cord Decker are Cleary’s older brothers. Cleary purposely sends Paige to a piece of land on Camden’s property. Camden has been grumpy since getting out of the Army and he has physical and emotional scars. When Camden finds Paige trying to set up camp, he is furious with Cleary. Since a snowstorm is approaching, Camden moves Paige and her camping gear closer to his cabin. He positions her camp where the cabin will block some of the wind and Paige will be close enough to the cabin in case she needs anything.

I loved that Camden respected Paige enough to let her do her mountain man/camping research on his land. All of the couples in this series have been so cute.

Starring Paige Turner and Camden Decker

Tropes: Scarred Hero, Insta-Love, Insta-Attraction

This book is squeeze your thighs delicious!! Mmm’kay?! Dear lawdy, where can I get a Camden? Coz this grumpy and growly hunk of a man is totally drool worthy!! I’m totally adding him to my reverse harem of Kat Baxter heroes. Give me a sec while I spray my self with cold water…

Whew!! I gotta stop taking about Camden or else I’ll never finish this review (hehe). So let’s move on to Paige… who is absolutely delightful. She was quirky and funny… and that she video chats with her cats (aka her babies) is totally endearing. And she was the sunshine that Camden needed. She totally made me smile.

There’s a part in the book, where they are comparing scars, that had me ugly crying AF!! I love this quote so hard…”My body isn’t perfect. It’s full of flaws, but it carries me through each day.” Amen!!

Needless to say, I loved this book. It was highly enjoyable… and Kat Baxter sure knows how to give me amazing feely-feels!! Another winner, fo’sho!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily review it and the comments are 100% my own.

My Star Rating: 5 stars
Ugly cried AF. Major book hangover. Characters and storyline were freaken amazeballs. Made me wanna hug the author for writing a book that gave me all the feels!! Will definitely be reading this story over and over and over again!!

This book was so freaking good! I loved Cam and Paige's story. This book is party of the Galantine's getaway series. Cam is a wounded veteran who is growly and grumpy and not looking for pity love (sex) and Paige is a romance author who is tired of the genre she’s been writing and wants to branch out into the mountain men genre. Paige doesn’t trust men because of her ex and his two timing treatment of her. Cam doesn’t trust women because of how his ex treated him when returning from the army with scars. Paige ends up on Cam’s property while trying to do research for her mountain men genre she wants to write about and when Cam comes upon her trying to set up her tent he is surprised that she doesn’t shy away from him or his looks. Paige is totally taken with Cam and how manly he is. When Cam decides if she’s going to try camping on his property she might as well be closer and helps her move the tent next to her house Paige is surprised but goes along with him. Cam is taken with her personality and beauty and can’t help but watch out for her while she’s putting the tent up. These two are perfect for each other! This book has plenty of sweet and plenty of heat and the epilogue is freaking hilarious and might just be my favorite chapter! I recommend this book to everyone.

Give me Grumpy all day long!

This book was sweet, $exy and hilarious. I don’t believe I’ve read a funnier epilogue.

Paige is on a writing retreat with five of her author-besties in Lake Tahoe. She has made the decision to switch from writing historical romance to contemporary, starting with a Mountain Men series. Research is crucial and Paige manages to find her very own mountain man, Cameron, on which to experiment. Cam, feeling an ache in his heart the instant he meets Paige, certainly doesn’t mind.

The sweet part of this romance is how both of these characters handle the “baggage” of the other. Paige, for being good enough for someone to love and Cam, for the physical scars he earned while defending his country with the Army. Kat does such nice job with this. The scene in which they throw their baggage on the table, so to speak, is soooo good and sweet and touching.

The $exy part of this book is well, really $exy and hot! 😊

The hilarity must be experienced for oneself. Let’s just say, this couple takes their research for Paige’s current writing project, very seriously.

I loved this book! The instant connection between these two is pure, physical chemistry as well as an instant emotional fusion that will last a lifetime.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I purchased it. This is my honest review.

This book is a part of the Galantines Getaway series and focuses on Camden and Paige. Paige is in Lake Tahoe with her friends for a writers retreat. She had decided that she wanted to switch up the content that she writes and wants to get some hands-on experience with camping in the snow. She gets a permit from Cleary who just happens to be Camden’s sister. Camden had been in the Army before coming back to his hometown a bit different than when he went into the Army. When Camden finds Paige on his property, he immediately finds her attractive and while he is annoyed to find her on his property initially he doesn’t want her to leave so he has her come stay closer to his cabin. The connection between the two of them is instant and they both start to feel things that they haven’t felt before. They know that they have found someone special. I absolutely loved Camden and Paige together! They were everything that the other needed and were so perfect together. I loved everything about this book. Excellent addition to the series!

This is the first book by Kat I have read. I really enjoyed it and I look forward to reading more in the future. This collection is about 6 writer friends on vacation. Each one finds their special guy. Paige is excited to be on this trip with her friends. For once she doesn’t have a dead line hanging over her head. Paige has an idea for a new series. She is going to use this vacay to plot, plan, and research. Her research leads her to one hot sexy mountain man. Just what she needs for her new book. A fan they meet at the resort offers her a place to research. With a fake permit and a place to put her tent Paige is off to research. Camden finds a sexy curvy woman pitching a tent on his land. Turns out the fan was his sister. This search may give Paige more than she bargained for. Neither Paige or Camden could have imagined what would happen next. I loved this short crazy read. This book is funny, romantic, and has one crazy sexy mountain man. Camden manages to help Paige with a lot of her research. Paige helps Camden with some demons he has from his time in service. I can’t wait to read the other books in this collection. Wonderful job Kat.

My new favorite instalove mountain man romance with tons of steam and a swoon worthy hero and his sweet but sassy heroine. I adored Cam and Paige as a couple and enjoyed their story more than words can describe. Their steamy scene was so incredibly well written and showed the deep connection between these two characters.

Paige is a romance author headed to Lake Tahoe for a week with her best friends. She needs to do research for her next romance novel that focuses on a mountain man. She ends up camping on Cam’s land and he is not happy about it. He feels like he’s damaged goods since coming home scarred but Paige couldn’t find him more attractive.

Their “research” in her tent is STEAMY!! I loved how this scene was written. The super hot way he wants to know more about her and her writing. I also really loved how their instalove was addressed and whole heartedly accepted by the characters. Serially do yourself a favor and read this book. I loved it so much and can’t wait to read it again!

This weekend Paige is meeting up with fellow romance writers. Paige met up with someone from the Sheriff's office who could get her a camping permit even though its the winter. Paige wants to get the experience to help write her new book. After going to the address she was given, she came across Camden. He owned the property that Paige was going to go camping on. Camden was not happy she was there trying to camp when she could get hurt with the wild animals out there. Camden spoke up and let her try putt up her tent. After so long, he came out and she wasn't able to keep warm so he brought her in.
Camden liked being on the mountain by himself so letting her in was not something he did. Once they got to know each, Camden could believe e didn't want Paige to ever leave.
Paige was able to make the once secluded Camden a better person. Since Paige was a writer she could live anywhere and that's what she dud. Moved to the mountain to be with her Mountain Man.

Paige Turner (love the play on the name here) is a romance writer who is on a Galentines Retreat with some of her fellow writer girlfriends.
She is feeling insecure in her abilities as a writer and as a partner in a relationship as her ex finance has published his first book. Which has zoomed in popularity. She has decided to change her writing style and stepped out on faith. She wants to write about Mountain Men and what better way to do then to become one with nature while she is on her retreat.
Camden is a scarred soldier who has returned home. He has suffered the loss of his parents and himself during his time overseas. He encounters Paige when she shows him a camping permit to camp overnight on his land.
This is such a swoon worthy story.
Camden is so scarred both physically, emotionally and mentally and is brooding and grumpy all the time. Can he be saved? Is it possible that Paige can make him see himself again?
I love these two characters and the steam and attraction between them both. Together they can conquer anything.

A romance book about Paige a romance author up in the mountain at a writing retreat and meeting the man of her dreams just like in her books wasn’t a reality or so she thought until she mountain man. Camden sexy as all get out mountain man with a sister who loves him because she gives Paige the permit to camp out on his land hoping that her grumpy brother will see her sunshine. The moment he goes out to confront her and comes face to face with her curves everything stops but she doesn’t see the scars, she just accepts him for who he is and that alone is worth working towards. The attraction between them is something she has ever only written about never experienced but where are they headed and is it written for them a HEA?

This was such a fun insta-love book! Paige and her five writer friends are meeting up in Lake Tahoe for a writer’s retreat. Paige is exploring writing a new trope, mountain man! She insists on “camping in the wild” and hoping for a snowstorm to get believability in her books for her readers. She is given a camping permit and mountain man, Cam comes up on her when he is looking for his brother’s run away bull. It is such a good premise and so funny! They are, of course, instantly attracted to one another. He shows interest in her writing, which makes her feel good after her last boyfriend blew it off. They ultimately have a “fake relationship” to get rid of his ex, but the kiss is too real. If you enjoy shorter stories, with some steam, instant love and wit, this is for you!

I loved Cam and Paige!!

If I get laughing while reading it's like hitting the jackpot. I hit the jackpot with this book. Paige had a bad experience in the love department and it kind of slapped her in the face upon arrival at her destination. Cam was a recovering ex-soldier, badly injured in the war. He lives on the mountain and stays away from people because of his scars. That definitely isn't the part I found humorous, it was after they got together. Read how she wants to camp in the snow and do the rest of her list. Cam's sister gives her a camping permit on his property. Read the book and enjoy the fun. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have. Written by Cindy :)

Paige is in Tahoe with a group of her author friends, for a writer's retreat and to catch up. Paige is getting tired of writing the same stories and is looking for a new direction, but to do that she will need to do a bit of research. Camden is often called grumpy by his sister, and when she offers to have a writer camp on his land, he is beside himself.

I love Paige and Camden's first meeting; Paige is excited and does not let his scale let her mind stop her from all the possibilities. Camden wants to be mad that Paige is on his land, but the fact she sees him and not his scares puts a smile on his face.

This is a fun and delightful story that will warm your heart and make you laugh.
