Dear Diary: I Love a Firefighter

Rate this book
We are four sisters who’ve never had much luck in love. When we uncover a diary cleaning out Nana’s attic, Mom says it has the power to find us our true loves. Too good to be true? Probably. Potentially dangerous? Yep. Will we do it anyway? Abso-freaking-maybe.

DITRA:
The Diary knows.
It knows I’m next.
I try to destroy it, hide from it, run from it. It keeps showing up. Cursed Diary. Nothing that can be defined as good just magicks into your life everywhere you go relentlessly until you do what it wants! And I’m right—the Diary brings me So Much Misery…but then, it brings me Dante.
I don’t deserve him.
Or maybe I do.
But only after I pass through the fire.

This is Ditra & Dante’s story.

Hey Readers!
Diary-ing is promising for the soul.
For the Donovan sisters—Lyric, Amelie, Jessa, and Ditra—it promises them a soulmate.
Hocus-Pocus? Or an actual shot at true love?
Either way…this isn’t your mama’s diary, babe.
Kisses! Tarin

Each book in the Diary of the Sisterhood series is a complete, standalone story with a sprinkling of maybe-magic and an oooh so satisfying steamily-ever-after.

Cursed or Not?
Awesome book. It’s Ditra’s turn with the diary and she doesn’t want. She leaves it behind when she runs five hundred miles away to her friend, Yvette, to break the spell. They do a ritual and afterwards she goes to her room. While unpacking she finds the diary that she knows she didn’t pack. She returns to her friend showing her the book. They burn a fire in a cauldron out back to burn it but, something goes wrong. As Ditra is holding the diary over the fire to drop it in she’s thrown back and to the ground. With fire all around her all she sees is bright colors as her skin is burning. Suddenly, she’s in the arms of a firefighter and then passes out. Dante can’t get the woman out of his mind. He checks over the area where the fire was and comes across the badly burned diary. When he sees a replica he gets it and takes it to Ditra when she gets home from the hospital. When she sees it though she freaks out and Yvette sends him away. Not knowing what he did Dante returns later and she agrees to go for a ride with him. They end up at his house that night where she stays when he has to go back on shift. When she gets a call she runs to her family and Dante doesn’t know when she’ll be back. She will come back. He’s convinced of that and will be prepared when she does. Not believing in the diary, will Ditra actually go back to Dante?.

This is the fourth book in this steamy, goofy, fun series of short stories (less than one hour reads). Ditra's three sisters have all found love, theoretically due to a magical diary that also helped her mother and grandmother find their soulmates. Strange things have happened to al of them, but they found their soulmates. Ditra is terrified of it, but now it's her turn. She goes to visit an old friend Yvette, who is into occult-ish things. Ditra tries to destroy the diary, but in the process is nearly killed and her face is a bit fried from an explosive bonfire when she was standing too close.

Yvette's boyfriend Ward is a firefighter and on duty when the call comes in about the bonfire getting out of control. He arrives with the firetruck, including Dante, the only still-single firefighter. Dante and Ditra fall in love, and it's cute and funny. I love this author's way with words when describing their feelings. Very nice short reads!.

This series has been so much fun to read! A magical diary that brings love to four sisters? Absolutely!! The final sister to find love is Ditra. She’s also the skeptical one and the one afraid of things magical. After attempts to destroy and lose the diary fail, she heads to her best friend’s house to fight magic with magic. What she ends up finding is Dante. After things go horribly wrong, Dante is there to save her. They feel an instant connection and can’t stop thinking about each other. I LOVED Dante!! Any part of the story with him in it was fabulous. I loved that he didn’t fight his feelings but embraced them and his OTT instalove for Ditra. I enjoyed how this story played out and the ending was phenomenal. I can’t wait to see what comes next for the diary.

The diary may be cursed but she is about to find out curses are great sometimes

Dear Diary: I Love a Firefighter! is the fourth and final book in the Diary of the Sisterhood. This series is all about four sisters who each are given a family diary which will bring them the love of their lives as long as they follow the rules. This story is about Ditra, who wants nothing to do with the diary at all. She tries everything she can to lose it but it just keeps coming back. What also comes to her is the big, sexy and sweet Dante who burns up her world.
I really enjoyed this book and the rest in the series. It is an interesting premise to build a series around and works well as each sister approaches the diary differently but they all end up with exactly who they should.

Ditra Gets Her Man!
I’ve read all of Tarin Lex’s Dear Diary series and thought they were adorable reads. Book 4, “Dear Diary: I Love a Firefighter” is the sweetest of them all in my opinion. Ditra is the hard-as-nails, no-nonsense sister, and she’s not about to let some diary-induced woo-woo influence her life. Love just isn’t in the cards for her, and she’s okay with it. Dante, her real-life firefighting hero, throws a wrench in that. He’s insanely hot (no pun intended) and incredibly sweet, and their story is such a heart-tugger. Lex also wraps up the family’s stories by checking in with Ditra’s sisters, which only makes the tale more special. Such a great story!

A short, sweet, fun story. Ditra is the last sister to get the diary. She is doing her best to get rid of the diary. Ditra visits her friend Yvette and while there they try to destroy the diary but throwing it in the fire. Dante is the firefighter that saves Ditras' life. There is magic in that diary and Dante doesn't know why he's there with Ditra but there is a blaze between them and it's something that neither wants to put out. Will Ditra come back after going home to see her sisters baby? Highly recommend this story.

Dirta's story is the fourth book of the series and is the one that makes you smile big. Dirta has been against the belief of the family diary finding the women of her family love, but not because she doesn't believe in love, she is afraid of losing it.

Her journey of opening her heart is fun, especially as she tries to leave, get rid of and destroy the diary, but if finds it ways back. Dante is a kind and loving man who makes you swoon, he only wants to help, but finds the one that sets his heart on fire.

Amazing story.

This book has some mystical parts, unlike the rest of the series. This one isn't all "rainbows and unicorns" and is a deeper read. It might be favorite of the series. It's real, it digs deeper and hit the emotional side. The love Ditra finds is one of a kind and it's so so so special. There's other parts to the story where I still questions, but I don't put those here as they could spoil parts! Go get this book.... actually go grab all 4 that are release! You don't be disappointed! I can't wait for the 5th book to see what happens.

The fourth book in Tarin Lex' Diary of the Sisterhood, Dear Diary: I Love a Firefighter is the best one yet. The biggest skeptic of her sisters, Ditra does everything in her power to get rid of the magical diary. However, her journey proves you can't change fate - because when she and her best friend Yvette's attempts to burn the diary go awry, Ditra meets firefighter Dante. Dante and Ditra's chemistry is off the charts, and their story is entertaining, steamy and oh-so-swoon-worthy. A must-read.

Distract was the last of the sister to get the diary but she didn’t want to fall in love, she was scared. She took a trip to Tennessee to see her friend and try and break the diary’s ‘curse’ This caused a call to the firefighters and Dante rescuing her. Dante was in love with Ditra at first sight, he couldn’t get her out of his head. He was going to do everything he could to make her his forever. Sweet, steamy romance with amazing chemistry and a lovely HEA.

This is the 4th book in the Diary of the Sisterhood series, it can be read as a standalone story however best read in order. Fast-paced and fun to read, Ditra is the last sister getting the diary to write in however she wants absolutely nothing to do with it. She meets Dante when he pulls her out a house fire at her bff's house and they are immediately smitten with each other. Good story, quick to read with wonderful likable characters.

The diary seems to be indestructible. Ditra is having no.believe and will to run to the ends of the earth since the beginning of the series. Realistic, holistic situations with the main character. Needing to avoid of encourage beliefs of the heart is great read. But is does not read like the end.ofthe series unless there is a secret sister...

All if her sisters found their One though the help of a Family diary, now it's Ditras turn and she is petrified. She tries to outrun it and takes a trip to visit her friend Yvette. Well guess who's coming with her 🤣🤣🤣 A spell cast wrong, a fire and a hot firefighter change her whole life 🥰 Instalove, sweet, fun to read, romantic and safe with a great HEA and with a outlook on future diary writer and their HEA 😍😍😍😍😍

This is book four in the Diary of the Sisterhood series and is Ditra and Dante's story. Ditra is the final sister to get the diary and even though she doesn't believe it can do anything she still does her best to destroy it. She's determined to get rid of the diary but it still does its job and brings Dante into her life in an interesting way. The writing is well done, the characters are great and the ending is perfect. I have loved this series of four sisters and a magical diary. They each have decided to go off and explore and have unexpectedly found love. This was Ditra’s story. While visiting her friend Yvette she meets Dante and the connection they feel scares them both. They are perfect for each other with lots in common and a chemistry that sizzles off the charts. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Ditra doesn't want to believe in the magic, she is afraid of believing. I love how she tries so hard to distance herself. I love how Dante is so drawn to her. I love how they fall so effortlessly. I love the no drama easy way the story plays out. I need to know about Mama. I hope we get a book. The writing is easy and flows naturally.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Ditra fights hard against the diary, but she is destined to be with Dante. Their first meeting was memorable and is interesting how they are drawn together until they both accept that they are in love. I love how the diary recreated itself to continue its work.

Ditra is the last of the sisters to receive the diary and she has done everything she can to destroy it. She travels to Tennessee to obtain a friend's help to exorcize the the diary. When a large fire erupts, she is saved by a firefighter, Dante.

The two are drawn together, it is the diary or fate?.

The last of the sisters finds love, this short novella had a different vibe from the others in the series. Definitely deeper with characters very much in contemplating the issue of finding love, but also if you lose your love. It was great for Ditra to push past her safe boundaries and take a chance with Dante.
