Esperaba más de Perry y Amelie, se quedó corta su historia de amor.

Dear Diary: I Love the Guy Next Door! de Tarin Lex Serie Diary of the Sisterhood Book 2

Argumento:

Amelie goes to Florida with the past down diary to see if it will lead to her soul mate. She rent a place and finds out the guy she's renting from is her landlord. Perry is a schoolteacher, and he loves his work but he still mourning for the child his lost. When Amelie comes into his life its like a brightness is shining on him and he does his best to avoid her not wanting to get hurt again. However, when a bad storm is about to hit he goes and finds her looking at the stormy water. Will Amelie show Perry its okay to move on? Will the diary bring her to her soul mate?

This is a great story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Lyric has passed they family diary to Amelie, who is the romantic of the family.

Amelie decided to travel to Florida for a couple of weeks, when a hurricane hits, she gets closer to neighbor. Perry is a schoolteacher; he also rents out the place next to his home. When he meets Amelie, his heart starts unlike before, but he is hesitant to open back up after so much loss.

This is a great addition to a series that has a unique way of finding love. The sisters have a sweet bond, and the banter will make you smile. Perry's story is heartbreaking, and it helps you understand his struggles. The connection is electric and will have you wanting more. . This book is book 2 in the Dear Diary series.
**Please note that the author does provide a trigger warning for this story - death of a child. There are not details of the death but please note that is is mentioned a few times as part of the story.

The diary is said to have "magical" powers that bring love to the 4 sisters but has certain stipulations which each of the sisters have to follow. This story about Amelie and Perry is the perfect "boy next door" story with a twist, or a few!

Amelie decides to visit Florida where some of her dads ashes were released into the ocean. Upon her arrival, she meets the landlord who happens to live next door and it much better looking than she expects. When a tropical storm rolls in, she has to call him for help.

Lex write an amazing story by weaving in Perry helping Amelie in more than one way, and in turn she helps him as well. Will the diary work it's charm a second time and will each of the sisters continue to fall in love? Read this short story today and you won't be disappointed!

Love this series

For me, this has been a fun series. The concept that the family diary can bring them to love sure is different but it's been fun. Amelia's turn took her to FL where she rents a place for two weeks. She's going to see her father whose ashes were given to the ocean after his passing. She felt closer to him while at the water. Perry her landlord was an added bonus. She felt the connection but he stayed away from her. Writing in the diary helped her. Until a hurricane came into the picture. Things sure changed for the two of them. Read what happens. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Written by Cindy :)

This is the second in the series although can absolutely be read as a standalone. (That's what I did)

Amelie is the second sister to receive the magical diary of love after her dad's death and her older sister finding her true love. She heads to Florida to be closer to her dad's memory and the pull she feels inside. She rents a lovely cottage and her neighbour (and rental owner) Perry is not what she is expecting, she is hit with an instant attraction but he doesn't seem to feel the same and actively ignores her until one stormy day...

Perry has suffered great loss so please read the trigger warnings before going into this.

This is a super quick read with heat, heart and a HEA so if that's your thing you will not be disappointed.

Sweet

This is my first book by this author and it surprised me with the details of the emotional turmoils and the very sweet and interesting way to bring in a "magic" diary in this series and create a wonderful world and sweet stories about sisters and their way to finding love. Beautiful!

I am sure the diary is enjoying finding the soulmates of the sisters but did not relish the things it has to go through. XD

It was a bit sad about the MMC, losing someone is hard and I am just glad that he permitted himself to open his heart again. I guess the FMC, though suffering a loss all the same, brought the sunshine back into his life. I just realized, that storm is symbolic.

Tarin Lex’s new series is really unique and I’m looking forward to reading all of the books. This is the second book in the interconnected stories, and while I’m definitely going to read the first one, I didn’t feel lost in the story by starting here. There is a family diary that will love to the person who writes in it. Each book focuses on one of four sisters as they find they happily ever after.

This book was about Amelie, the youngest sister, and Perry, her AirBnB host and next door neighbor. Amelie heads to Florida where she feels connected to her father that passed away. When she meets Perry, the brooding and quiet guy next door, she knows he’s who she’s there to meet. Only problem is he keeps himself closed off and distant. *there is a trigger warning included for death of a child in Perry’s past. There are no details but it is mentioned throughout and played a part in forming his character.

I enjoyed the connection between characters. I also enjoyed their fight on the beach during a hurricane. It was intense but funny and perfect. The growth of feelings, the different way each character handles it, and the ending of their story was really well done. It was easy to fall in love with the characters and be happy for their HEA. I’m looking forward to which sister falls in love next.

The baby heads to Florida and takes off like a rocketship

Dear Diary: I Love the Guy Next Door! is the second book in the Diary of the Sisterhood series which is about the four Donovan sisters and the family diary, which promises to bring you and your soul mate together when you write in it. This story is about youngest sister Amelie who travels to Cocoa Beach, Florida for two weeks for her adventure. She rents an AirBnB a couple blocks from the beach and the first thing she sees when she pulls into the driveway is a hunky man washing the house next door. As it turns out the hunky man is not only Perry, the man who she rented the cottage from but also her neighbor. With just a touch he lights her on fire but will not engage with her over the next week, no matter who much she may try. But when a hurricane starts coming towards the area things swirl faster than a witches brew between these two. Perry may have his heart locked away for a real reason, though Amelie and the diary are about to bust it wide open.

This was an entertaining story but for me I did not feel the connection between Amelie and Perry a lot. I can't put my finger on the main issue just that sort of went back and forth a number of times and fell flat in the end. But I am not giving up on the Donovan sisters and their diary just yet.

The second installment of Tarin Lex's delightful Diary of the Sisterhood series is Dear Diary: I Love the Guy Next Door! This is Amelie's story, the youngest of four sisters whose mother has given them a family heirloom diary which supposedly brings each writer their soulmate. After her closest sister, Lyric, took the diary first and fell in love in the course of a day, Amelie takes the book from Texas to Florida, renting an AirBnB near where they scattered their father's ashes just nine months ago. From the moment she meets Perry, the home's owner - who lives in the house right next door - she is smitten. For Perry, the feeling is completely mutual, which leads him to avoid her for the first few days, not ready to consider falling for someone who will soon be leaving. However, when a hurricane approaches and Perry and Amelie are stuck in close quarters, will they continue to be able to deny what seems fated between them?

A fun, fast-paced, steamy short romance, another entertaining chapter of this wonderful series! Looking forward to Jessa's turn next...

The mom of four adult daughter's, shares a special diary that has been a tradition for the women in the family to write in and find their soul mates. It is now Amelia's, the youngest sister's turn to find true love. Amelia decides to go to Florida where her late fathers ashes were spread in the waves. Perry, the owner of the Airbnb that he rents next to his house, doesn't give Amelia the time of day. This frustrates Amelia because she thinks she has gotten the diaries magic wrong. A hurricane is set to hit land and this is when the fireworks start for Perry and Amelia and Perry's healing also starts. Now I am going back to read the first book because I missed this one even though each book is a stand alone. This is book #2 of "Diary of the Sisterhood" series. Enjoy!

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Dear diary; I love the guy next door is the second book in the ‘’diary of the sisterhood’’ series.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. It’s Amelie’s turn with the family soulmate finding diary. Heading to Florida will she find love?
The chemistry between Amelie and Perry is clear to see and I liked them together.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.

This is the second book in the Diary of the Sisterhood series, it can be read as a standalone story however I recommend reading them in order.
There is a heartbreaking trigger in this story where the Hero suffers heartbreak. Please be aware.
Well-written and quick to read instalove novella where the magic of the diary does wonders again. We follow Amelie as she heads of with the diary to Florida where she meets Perry, the guy she rented her beach cottage from. She is instantly attracted to Perry and slowly she draws him out his shell to realize that he can recover from serious heartache. Wonderful characters in a sweet and steamy story

Take Shelter!
Amazing story. Perry is still grieving the loss of his daughter. He has been closed off to love ever since. To help with that he becomes a second grade teacher and the kids love him. Amelie rents the house next door to Perry but, he avoids her and she doesn’t know why. When a weather system traps them together sparks fly and Perry gives in to his feelings. But, what’s up with that “scrapbook” she keeps writing in? Will they be able to weather a new life together? Storms don’t last forever..

Tarin Lex’s “Dear Diary: I Love the Guy Next Door,” Book 2 in the enchanting contemporary romance series centered on a family of four young women going on treks to find their soul mates, is a short, sweet little story. It pairs the youngest daughter Amelie with elementary school teacher Perry. Amelie is beautiful, lighthearted, and open to finding her true love while Perry is handsome, a bit guarded, and beautifully broken. This instalove romance sparks amid a hurricane off the Florida coast, and it’s adorable and sad and steamy all at once. Looking forward to sister Jessa’s story next!

The journal strikes again! This is about Amelie and Perry. Her sister Lyric tagged her to be the next to find love and although she really didn’t need to travel and the journal traveled back to her she wanted to go where she could be near her father. This book is about loss, acceptance, and hope. I love how the journal is not wrong and just writing in it will help them move forward to what they want even in the middle of a hurricane! This was awesome now I can’t wait to read about what Jessa does as love might have been there all along she just wasn’t paying attention!. Amelia is the second sister to receive the diary. She heads to Florida where the family buried their father. Perry is the owner of the house that Amelia is renting. He’s a little aloof but there’s an immediate attraction between them. Perry is hiding something though and when a hurricane shows up the tension and the attraction between these two ramps up. A sweet quick read. Amelia steps out of her comfort zone and realizes she’s not in Florida for herself but that she was sent to save Perry. In book 3 Jess and her best friend Teddy are next. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Very strange

To be completely honest, this doesn’t even remotely feel like a Tarin Lex book. It’s vague, spends a lot of time talking about a diary that is only really even a part of the main characters’ story for like 8 pages, and the climax of the story is insanely brief. There’s a wedding being prepared for at the end but you don’t get to experience it, and it just feels very unfinished. I know short instaloves are a trope of their own, but this just needs fleshed out a bit more in my opinion. I honestly don’t know that I’ll read the remainder of the series.

The words ‘Dear diary’ have never meant so much before this group of sisters is handed their family legacy diary. Perhaps enchanted with happily ever afters, the diary must be their companion on a journey of miles and love. This installment was quite enjoyable. I wish Perry’s character had developed a little more as I have so many questions about him. But I’m eager to get my hands on Jessa’s story next!. I am glad it is not going in birth order. Assumptions of what to do on a two week vacation never goes as planned. You never know how much love you can find in a unexpected hurricane. Hopefully the roof will still be on the house when this all blows over. no cliffhanger. good read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
