We are four sisters who've never had much luck in love. When we uncover a diary cleaning out Nana’s attic, Mom says it has the power to find us our true loves. Too good to be true? Probably. Potentially dangerous? Yep. Will we do it anyway? Abso-freaking-maybe.
LYRIC I’m not sure about this whole love-genie-diary thing, but I’ll take any excuse to go on an adventure. If it really does work, I’ll be wrapped up in some mountain man arms of my dreams in no time. And if it doesn’t…well, the best I can hope is to make it out of the woods alive.
MEADE Quiet, tranquil life in the mountains—meet Lyric. She is storm and chaos. Disrupting, irritating. Curvy…Delicious…Perfect. I’d been itching to get in some trouble. And she is the trouble I want to be in. I save her life; she’ll make mine complete. My woods. My home. My woman. Mine.
Hey Readers! Diary-ing is promising for the soul. For the Donovan sisters—Lyric, Amelie, Jessa, and Ditra—it promises them a soulmate. Hocus-Pocus? Or an actual shot at true love? Either way…this isn’t your mama’s diary, babe. Kisses! Tarin
Each book in the Diary of the Sisterhood series is a complete, standalone story with a sprinkling of maybe-magic and an oooh so satisfying steamily-ever-after.
Hi! I’m a mama of four living my dream writing romance out in the country with the love of my life! I’m a busy bee like you, so writing & reading short romance is my jam. I hope each of my stories makes you smile, makes you sigh, makes you...swoon. ;) Most of all I hope you reach “The End” feeling ever-inspired and optimistic. With me, it’s always safe, steamy & sweet, with happily-ever-afters guaranteed!

Probablemente. ¿Potencialmente peligroso? Sí. ¿Lo haremos de todos modos? Abso-maldito-quizás.
LYRIC
Love Tarin Lex’s Sweet and Steamy New Series! Tarin Lex’s new Dear Diary series of instalove short stories is friggin’ adorable! The premise involves four sisters who couldn't be more different from one another, their loving Mama, and a diary that - according to legend - has led generations of women in their family to their soulmates. Book One is “Dear Diary: I Love a Mountain Man,” and it treats us to the HEA for beautiful, creative Lyric and grumpy but sexy-as-sin mountain man Meade. Such sweet and steamy interactions between these two, and the plot is well-developed. Really looking forward to what happens with Lyric’s sisters, too! LOVE IT, Tarin Lex!
WOW – Dear Diary – mom was right! This is about Lyric and Meade. Lyric and her sisters have been told that they have a gift that consists of finding their soulmate by writing to the diary, but there is a catch. I love this and cannot wait for all the sisters to get their chance. Lyric is first up and Meade meets her in the store where she decided to buy some items that are not really crucial for the hike up she has pending. Meade decides to follow her as he knows she will need saving! Love this.

It was fun reading this book, it has family mystical history, four sisters and their mother, travel, excitement and love. Lyric, a free spirited artist girl, travels to the mountains to accomplish her mission where she starts a very long trail hike. Two hours into her freezing cold hike she stumbles upon a store which has so much art supplies she can't stop buying. Mead, the mountain man, is also at the store and he starts complaining that she should buy essential things. She doesn't listen, buys what she wants and heads off on her hike. Unbeknownst to her Mead follows, worried she would run into trouble. Of course she does. Read what happens to them. I enjoyed it a lot and hope you will as well. Written by Cindy :)
This is the first story in the "Diary of a Sisterhood". It is a short, quick and fast paced read about four sisters who are shown a diary by their Mama. The diary is magical! This story is about Lyric, the oldest sister, and Meade. Lyric decides to go back packing in the mountains. At the general store she meets Meade, who ends up rescuing her. The attraction is instant and the love almost as instant. The story is cute, sweet and steamy.
This book is AWESOME! Tarin starts her brand new series off with a bang with the story of Lyric and Meade. A family tradition will have her taking an adventure that will lead her, and the family’s diary, to the man of her dreams. She will find Meade in the mountains and he will save her in a storm and it will lead them to forever.

I loved the first book in this new series by Tarin Lex. It was adorable and steamy. The best is the sweet magical element that is weaved into the story. Lyric and Meade were perfect for each other. I can’t wait to read more from these sisters.
Ms. Diary will find her soul mate....but Mr. Surly is not what she was expecting
Dear Diary is the first book in the new Diary of the Sisterhood series and was a really great start to it. This book introduces us to the Donovan sisters and the family diary, which promises to bring you and your soul mate together when you write in it. This story is about Lyric, the second youngest who is the first to take the journal after their mother tells them about it. The catch is that the journal has to travel five hundred miles from when it was last written in. So Lyric travels from her home in Texas to the wilderness of Idaho. She has rented a cabin in the mountains and has to hike the eleven miles from the trail head to it. This is an adventure that will definitely change her life but not quite in the way she was expecting. Meade is a man who has some demons from his time in the military. So he retreated to the mountains of Idaho where he built a cabin, has chickens, goats, gardens and takes care of himself. He is at the general store that is part way up the mountain where he encounters a young woman who is clearly out of her element, and it could get her in real trouble. After a surly exchange he decides to follow her as she hikes, just to keep an eye on her and make sure she is safe. It is a good thing as he does become her hero, saving her from a freezing river and hypothermia. Let's just say that he was not expecting to fall for a woman who loves stickers, glitter and markers. But it seems that Ms. Diary has found the perfect match in the most unlikely way.
I really loved this first story and the entire premise of the series. The Donovan sisters are all very different so this should be a quirky, funny, deliciously sweet and dirty naughty series....one I am definitely looking forward to reading!
This is the first book in a new series form this author. It’s about the four Donovan sisters – Lyric, Amelie, Jessa and Ditra – and a special diary that’s legendary for finding love for the women in their family. This one is about Lyric and Meade. When the girls’ mama tells them about the diary and the special power it yields, Lyric is the first daughter to give it a go. She goes on a trek to Idaho, and happens upon a grumpy and surly mountain man who isn’t very sociable, talkative or friendly – at first anyway. But when Lyric finds herself in a lot of trouble, Meade seemingly appears out of nowhere to come to her rescue.
And they come to each others’ rescues in this story full of laughter, banter, sassiness, art, the uncovering of secrets and feelings, sweet moments of instalove, desperate yearning and steamy passion. The characters really endeared themselves to me (even the goats – great names!), making me crave the next book already. I’m already looking forward to reading about Amelie’s trip next, and a possible glimpse into what’s going on with Lyric and Meade! BUT… how did the backpack make its return?! I give this book four and a half glittery stars.

Lyric and her sisters finds a diary in their grandmother attic and was told by their mother that the diary has magic powers to find their true loves, but they must move five hundreds miles away from home to fine the one. Since they all where unlucky in the love department, they didn’t believe. Lyric decides she is the first to take the diary and goes backpacking in the mountains of Idaho and stay in a cabin and find her dream man, her mountain man. Meade works at the general store when Lyric comes in for supplies and not what she really needs, stating she has nine more miles up the mountain to get to get to cabin. With out the right clothing and equipment she leaves, but little later, Meade fines her splashing in freezing water trying to get her diary after the wind blow it in the river. Just as she goes under Meade bring her to the surface and takes her home to warm up. At Meade cabin Lyric realizes that this mountain man could be her dream man, even has everything at his cabin she has been dreaming of, but how does Meade feel about her, could Meade be Lyric Mountain Man. I am volunteering to leave a ARC review of this book.
Tarin Lex kicks off her brand new Diary of the Sisterhood series with the delicious Dear Diary: I Love a Mountain Man! Lyric and her three sisters do not know quite what to make of the story their widowed mother tells when she finds an old diary that has been passed down through the generations - supposedly bringing all of its authors their soul mates. But the beautiful, whimsical young woman takes one for the team, grabs the diary and a bunch of art supplies, and heads from Texas to the mountains in Idaho to see about finding herself a mountain man. Meade is an ex-marine, happy to live out his days alone in a cabin n the mountains, finding an escape in his art. When he encounters Lyric in a general store part-way up the mountain, the surly mountain man tries to dissuade her from hiking any further. When she doesn't listen and ends up falling into a stream, Meade comes to her rescue. But is there any truth to the magic of the diary? Meade and Lyric burn up the pages in this fun, whimsical, seriously swoon-worthy new novella from the pen of the very talented Tarin lex.

When four sisters are cleaning out their nana's attic they find a book that will change their relationship status from single to happily ever after. This is book one and we get Lyric and Meade the mountain man's story. Meade and Lyric meet each other at the local general story and for him, it's insta love but for her, he's a grumpy mountain man and surely the magical book has picked someone else for her. I loved Lyric and Meade for each other and their fast paced story had me with a big cheesy grin on my face and I was cheering them on to get their happily ever after. This is the first book in the Diary of the Sisterhood series and I can't wait to read the rest of this fun and entertaining series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Lyric and her sisters are presented with a diary that her mother found in the attic. It belonged to her, her mother and her grandmother. The diary is said to have some magical, power that will help the woman who has it at the time, find their soulmate. Lyric is the first to take the diary and travel to the mountains to hopefully find her true love. Here she meets Meade, a surly mountain man that is inexplicable drawn to Lyric from the moment they meet. This was a cute fast past read with a magical element. Meade is the grumpy mountain man that likes his solitude but suddenly is rethinking his future, one with Lyric. These two have a deep connection and are meant to be. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A magic diary which has the power to find the perfect man, your soulmate. Lyric is the first to take the challenge. She is willing to go out and find her soulmate. She is out hiking up the mountain when the diary falls out of the backpack and the adventure begins. Meade, who she met in the convenience store has been keeping an eye on her. When danger happens he is there to help Lyric. They have a spark, an electricity, a sizzle. What will happen next? Has Lyric met her forever man? Great read, funny, enjoyable, entertaining, with a little steam and hot desire. Just a light hearted tender little love story. Oh, so good!

This was a sweet, delicious, steamy story. Four sisters are given a diary by their mother and told that it will lead them to their soulmate. After scoffing Lyric is the first to try out the diary. She heads to Idaho to go hiking and runs into Mr. Surly, grumpy, mountain man. Lyric ends up getting rescued by Mr. Surly and taken to his cabin. He is finding it hard to ignore this beautiful, curvy woman who's tucked up in his bed. He's trying not to ravage her but she's not helping him. These two are perfect for each other as they banter back as they fall in love. The hot steamy sex is pretty good too. Who's the next sister to get the Diary? Can't wait to read about all 4 of the sisters adventures.

3.5 stars First things first; I like the cover of this book! Dear diary; I love a mountain man! Is the first book in the ‘’diary of the sisterhood’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Lyric is on a solo hiking trip when she meets Meade. Meade isn’t looking for love but he soon finds it. The chemistry between Meade and Lyric is clear to see and I liked them together. I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.
Lyric and her 3 other sisters are who this series is based around. Their mom showed them a diary that will help whoever writes in it to find their soulmate. Lyric volunteers to go first. She went to Idaho to go backpacking in the woods. She sees a store and meets Heath and Meade. Lyric thinks that Meade is grumpy person. She gets in over her head. Meade rescues her. Lyric always knew what she wanted and Meade gives her that chance for her dreams to come true. However, they have to get pass Meade's own issues.

Six months after her father has died, her mother gets her sisters together to tell them about diary that has the power to help them find their soul mate. Lyric volunteers to be the first to go on her adventure. She picks Idaho, not knowing that Texas cold and Idaho cold are not the same. She meets Meade in the general store when she stops for supplies, he is very attractive but a jerk. Lucky for her he comes to her rescue out in the weather and takes her back to his cabin.
Is this really who the diary sent her? She thinks there must be someone else.

This is book 1 in the Dear Diary series by Tarin Lex.
While I thought this book was going to be a typical "fall in love with the mountain man story", Lex brings so many fun twists and turns that it's anything but typical! When Lyric's mother finds a diary/love journal in the attic, she tells Lyric and her sisters that it will help them find love. Lyric is the first to have the diary and when she has a mishap and almost loses the diary, her mountain man steps in to save her... in more ways than one. But does the diary really bring love? Read this short, sexy, steamy story and find out!
I can't wait for the rest of the stories to come out to see what the diary will bring.
This is the first entry in the "Diary of a Sisterhood". While it is short, quick and fast pace featuring Lyric, one of four sisters who are drawn in to the a diary's mystic as presented by their Mom.
This story is Lyric love story, the oldest sister, and meeting Meade. Lyric figures that going back packing in the mountains might lead her to her one. This was a great first book in the series. Lyric and her sisters were told by their mother that their grandmothers diary could find them their true love. Lyric set off with the diary to Idaho. She met Meade while stopping for supplies and thought he was a very hot, very grumpy mountain man! When her life was in danger while she was hiking to her cabin he rescued her. Their chemistry was amazing. It was love at first sight. Wonderful, hot, steamy, instalove story with a fantastic HEA

A magic tradition isn’t a diary. Apparently if you write in a diary you’ll find your soulmate. Sounds easy enough except lyric did a whole Lotta stuff to get her solve it. Hypothermia freezing is not on my list of trying to find a soulmate but whatever floats your boat. Funny? Yes bantering? Absolutely. Making assumptions of the mountain man who keeps irritating her or trying to persuade? You gotta read the thought of this mountain man. Good read to a new series. No cliffhanger

Fantastic new series of four sisters, absolutely loved the characters as they are truly written with spunky attitude, of course there’s bickering between them. Great adventure with romance and that ever elusive looking for your soulmate, only to find it’s a grumpy mountain man or is he? Enjoy this fast paced short novella with steamy scenes and best of all glitter.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I really liked the back story for this book. Lyric is first to try and she meets Meade who she discounts as her soul mate at first. However after he saves her and she gets to know him, they fall in love. I'm very curious how the backpack and diary were returned though.
