Spark
I risked my life trying to do the right thing.
I thought I was prepared for death, but being trapped inside my mind with only the pain and anger to keep me company is more than I can bear.
I should have saved her, but I hesitated. I saw the flames and heard her screams but I didn't move fast enough.
Now I must live with that guilt. My brothers try to bring me back from the darkness but nothing they do can save me. I deserve to hurt for what I've done.
I'm a jerk to everyone that crosses my path but when Hestia shows up to care for me a little light begins to break into my scorched soul.

Hestia
I've dealt with problem patients before but Stephen is by far the worst.
He's difficult, rude, and unbearably attractive, which only makes it harder for me to keep my distance.
I was tricked once by a pretty face, never again.
The authorities said I was one of the lucky ones to make it out of a prostitution ring alive. Yet, every day I wake up shaking in fear just waiting for someone to bust the door down and take me back.
I can't let Stephen or anyone else break down my guard.
I'll just keep my head down, do my work and pray that I'm never found.

If you don't cry multiple times for spark there's something wrong.what that man endures is gutting, mentally and physically tortured. Hestia, his physio, is living her own terror in her head from the ordeal she suffered. I don't know where Rae conjures these ideas from but I'm so happy she does.... This is dark, horrifying and completely addictive, ending on a maddeningly frustrating cliffhanger.

Spark: Boys of Djinn MC by Rae B. Lake is an emotional traumatic gut wrenching story that is full of chaos, angst, pain and horror. Your emotions will be all over the place leaving you in tears as you feel the pain Spark has to endure, will he survive? We finally learn what happened to him when his brothers thought he died after he went into the burning building to save Margot. The pain that Spark endured while in the hospital is heart wrenching, as he felt everything the doctors where doing to him as they thought by putting him in an induce coma he was pain free, how wrong they were. The pain Spark suffered was unbearable, all he wanted to do was die until a doctor realized he was not fully sedated. With the burns on his body so severe, he has to learn how to walk again , with the help from Wyatt and his brothers they are doing all they can to help him but he needs a lot of therapy to recover, but Spark is belligerent, angry and dealing with guilt which has him lashing out on his brothers as well as the numerous physical therapists who are trying to help him. Wyatt has had enough and with one last effort he hires Hestia a physical therapist. Will Spark allow her to help him? Will this be the end of him being a member of The Boys of Djinn MC? Hestia is a feisty sexy no nonsense young woman who is dealing with the fear and horrors of her past when she was taken, and held as a prisoner where she was tortured and abused until she managed to escape. Her nightmare never leaves her, can she be able to be around Spark, will he trigger her fear about what happened to her? Spark will soon learn that he has met his match with her as she pushes him with her sass and gritty mannerisms to get him to do his therapy and heal. The more these two spend with each other, feelings and emotions are beginning to emerge between them.

Sparks sees that he is attracted to Hestia, can he get he to open up when he helps her with one of her nightmares? Hestia sees that Sparks will never hurt her and all of the lust and desire she is feeling for him will soon have her wanting him to take her. Drama continues as the club is dealing with danger and violence as the human traffic ring is still a problem as well as conflict with their FBI connections. When alone at the clubhouse, Spark learns his brothers are in trouble while at a meeting. Now he is the only one who can save them from an ambush. With a reluctant Hestia she has to go with him so he can save his brothers, now they enter a deadly dangerous situation as Spark is the only one who can save his brothers. Hestia finally sees that Spark and his brothers are the good ones and she has nothing to fear. Finally Spark and his brothers come to blows as they are fed up with his attitude, when he is confronted he gets angry and defensive as he tells them he is riddled with guilt for letting Margot die. His brothers finally make him see that he was a hero and did all he could when he stormed into the burning fire, it is now time for him to stop feeling guilty and start living again. When Spark and Hestia give into the passion that is between them the chemistry is off the charts hot as they both open up to each other as they admit they are falling in love with each other. Will their happiness be torn apart, when new prospects arrive? What happens when Hestia's nightmare comes to life? Will Spark save his woman in time? So many twists and turns in this story as danger still surrounds the club as we have to wait for Preston's story.

Terrible plot in this one. Things that would never happen did.

Oh boy…. The book starts off with Spark in the hospital in a coma, after being badly burnt in the last book. He can feel everything that they do to him, and when they operate he can feel everything. NOPE!! Wouldn’t happen. They monitor heart rate etc and would have known well before then, that he was aware of what was happening. Then he wakes up and is able to talk clearly and shout…. Erm???? Nope!

When Sparky is sent home with a physio Hestia, will live with him during his therapy. He’s totally obnoxious to her and his brothers, as he feels so much guilt about Margot in the last book. After working with him for a while he starts to open up to Hestia, and starts to cooperate with her. Then it gets silly again as his recovery is miraculously fast. Hestia has also been through something terrible and they bond over their shared pain.

It starts to get a bit better and I was enjoying it, Hestia and Spark are falling in love, and everything is great. Until it gets ultra ridiculous again!!! Loads of spelling mistakes and the wrong words used, and don’t get me started on the plot. Another annoyance is that we never really get to know either of them. I’ve no idea if Hestia has brothers and sisters. They’re likes and dislikes.

Two more complaints then I’ll stop. In the first book, Spark is very obviously half in love with Dela. That’s not mentioned again and Spark never thinks of her like that. The other brother who is prison (??) is never mentioned and I’d forgot he existed. Overall it wasn’t worth reading.

This series just keeps getting better and better!!!

Let me be honest here, I hadn't heard of the Brothers of Djinn MC Series prior to seeing this book. In order to fully appreciate this book, I started at the beginning of the series - Wyatt. I loved Wyatt, then read Cody and couldn't put it down but truly, Spark is the best yet!!! I recommend you start at the beginning even though each book is a standalone, it has a great interwoven story that continues through each book.

Spark's books makes the readers run through the gamut of emotions. It starts off right where Cody's book ends and be prepared to pull out the tissues! From there I felt Wyatt's frustration with Spark and the hope that came with Hestia. Some of the themes are dark, but while touched on don't go too dark for the reader. This is a slow burn read and you need to be patient to get to the heat, but it's like getting through a great meal to be able to partake in your favourite dessert. Totally in line with the story and well worth the wait!

The ending . .. I have no words - my heart is still beating out of my chest!!! I am counting down to the release of Preston's book.

Stephen 'Spark' Djinn is part of the Djinn MC. An MC made up of active and retired FBI agents. He's also a volunteer firefighter who was severely injured trying to save a woman trapped in a fire. He's endured more pain than he should have and can't let go of his guilt for failing to save the woman.

Hestia is a live-in physical therapist. She's still recovering from being sexually assaulted and held captive by a patient over six years ago and prefers elderly patients.

Hestia doesn't want to take on Spark as a patient but their first meeting has sparks flying and she knows how to deliver tough love to a patient in pain both physically and emotionally.

They each have healing to do and they find it with each other. Working together they find more and more to like about each other until one of them has the courage to put their cards on the table.

I liked their story, but given the flashbacks and nightmares Hestia had, their first intimate times didn't feel realistic. I still liked this couple and felt they were perfect for each other.

Talk about a story that pulls at your heartstrings! This story picked up from where the last one left off. Spark had run into a burning building to save a woman, but was unsuccessful. Spark had suffered a lot of damage and was in a coma. Hestia is a physical therapist who doesn’t take any crap from anyone and is more of a shoot from the hip kind of woman who tells you how it really is. Spark is having none of this physical therapy. He feels like he let everyone down and is carrying a lot of guilt. He has basically given up. Hestia does her best to keep her distance from Spark, but she, like him feels something for him. Although, because of her past, she doesn’t trust those feelings.

This story is full of pain, guilt, passion, ups and downs, chaos, and a cliffhanger I did not see coming. Rae B Lake has a way of making you feel the emotions that Spark and Hestia are going through. I felt every cut that Spark felt while he was in the hospital and felt Hestia’s fears. I cannot wait to see what happens in this series next.

Spark is the third book in the Boys of Djinn MC series. It picks up where the last book, Cody, ended with that horrible fire that Emerson started killing Margot and leaving Spark with life-threatening injuries. What Spark endures in the hospital in the first chapters of this book is mind-blowing and scary. Enter Hestia, a physical therapist who is intelligent, sarcastic, gorgeous, broken, and able to take all that Spark has to dish out on his road to recovery. When the attraction between these two gets going, there is no stopping them. With tons of drama, action, some very sweet revenge, suspense, steamy romance, sweet romance, lots of family love, a surprise or two, betrayals, and a few twists, Spark is a page-turner! I read it cover to cover in one sitting. The ending is a cliffhanger that gets us ready for the next book in the series, Preston. Boy, oh boy, is that one going to be a thriller! Someone is setting the MC up. I don't feel sorry for them as these men take care of each other and their MC family. I can hardly wait! I absolutely love the Boys of Djinn!

The start definitely had me cringing oh boy now I've never had surgery to need to be put under like that but oh my God for it to not work ,I'm just crying along with him.
Spark being a volunteer fire fighter in the last book ends up seeing the flames alittle to closely and this book takes off from that and his struggle with his guilt and ends up taking it out on the doctors and his family until one fiesty physiotherapist who doesn't take any crap ends up taking him on little did either know how connected their lives have been recently.
Hestia having had a bad experience with a previously young client can't seem to shake the connection she has with Spark and his fierce drive once they both bare their souls to keep her safe so he needs to be at 100 %.
Enjoyed the way these 2 overcame their obstacles but it sure isn't over with that cliffhanger ending oh boy for them to finally know where and what their FBI undercover brother has been doing and have they just thrown a spanner in the works.

Spark’s Journey to Forgiveness & Living Again

This book is intense! Spark is recovering from the fire and is struggling with everything surrounding Margot and his inability to move forward. He doesn’t want to disappoint his family but he can’t seem to move past the guilt and try to get better.

All that changes when Hestia comes into his life as his new live-in PT. She pushes him in all aspects and doesn’t put up with his self loathing or feeling bad about himself. She has no room for his pity and won’t allow him to keep wallowing in his wheelchair. However, she is a bit scared herself because she had some horrific trauma in her past and she is trying to move past it. She never wanted to share her story with anyone but when Spark begins to open up she does too and then the literal sparks between them ignite into a slow burn of epic proportions. You will thoroughly enjoy this book and the cliffhanger at the end will have you racing to read the next installment in this amazing series. Happy Reading!!

This is the 3rd book in the Boys of Djinn MC featuring the continuation of Spark and Hestia's fast-paced exciting story. Spark feels like he failed everyone that he doesn't deserve to be a part of the crew anymore. Which is why he doesn't care if he gets better Hestia has survived hell on earth at the hands of Kato she was lucky to make it out alive. She now works as a PT and is assigned Stephen/Spark who's rude, difficult and sexy. She's not going to be taken in by a pretty face she already did that once and she has the scars to prove it. Sparks recovery has its ups and downs and things really get fascinating when Hestia finds the strength to help him. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this intense action packed story full of secrets, surprises, twists and turns to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

I loved this book. I have read many books by this author. There is never a theme between them that makes me think I am reading the same book just with different names. She writes unique books and knows few limits. She does not shy away from characters who have undergone some trauma. Spark had significant damage from burns, and we share his journey, even through the lock-in syndrome. I am a nurse and have cared for patients with this. It is often so tragic. And Hestia… I can't say enough about her. She was girl. She, also, experienced a horrific trauma. Neither of these characters quit. While it was not always smooth progress, they both travailed to a sweet ending. I loved this book. If you like hot angst with a HEA, you will like this book. Fair warning, the trigger warnings are appropriate so be sure to read the. Enjoy.

Spark Coming Back From It All!!

Spark and Hestia have both had traumatic experiences that have left both of them with night terrors and trying to live with what happened to them. Hestia was sent as a physical therapist to a man who let guilt define him. She was the only one that bit back at him and that got his attention. The Boys of Djinn MC were having problems of their own trying to bring down a human traffic ring and a drug ring all at the same time with the FBI backing.

I absolutely loved the connection of Spark and Hestia and the way they eventually brought out the best of one another and finally got their HEA. I have to say though that this book left us with one heck of a cliffhanger at the end with another brother showing up that’s been undercover for years. I have to say that I’m hooked on this series.

I love this series and the characters in them. They after awhile start to seem like family or really close friends. I have not cried as much as I have reading this book.
Spark has lived thur hell and isn’t sure he wants to come back. He is feeling survivors guilt for something he had no control over. Basically he just wants to roll over and die, but his family isn’t gonna let him.
Hestia has also lived thur hell by trusting the wrong person. This person abducted her and held her prisoner in her own home, where he tortured her and assaulted her. She is making her way back to being the person she was before.
Hestia has been hired by the Club to make sure Spark gets his life back and he can ride his bike. It’s an uphill battle, but she slowly gets to him and together they heal each other. Their love is strong because of the past trauma they have lived thur and it is unbreakable.

The beginning of a new series. This MC chapter started by a group of brothers, working with the FBI. Protectors and fighters against criminals.
Spark is seriously injured during a fire and his burns are only a small part of the pain and agony he is suffering. A broken soul in body and spirit, plagued with guilt.
Hestia, physiotherapist hired to assist his recovery is used to dealing with difficult patients and hrr methods can be unorthodox but she gets results. Her past experiences are harrowing and she harbours fear.
Both suffer nightmares. Sharing common feelings and determined to succeed is paramount in this budding relationship, but it becomes more than just attraction.
The scene is well set and written..liked all the characters and behaviours in the MC.
Ends on a cliffhanger tho'......

Spark is burned badly after a fire, even in a coma he can feel the pain as they try to treat him. Once he is finally out of the coma he does not want to get better, he want to wallow. His brother get desperate, they bring in someone who this is their specialty. Can she make him try?

Hestia hasn't taken a case of anyone other than elderly for years. She just does not trust anyone or feel safe enough after her assault. She does agree to take the job. She does not treat him with kid gloves, the guys have been doing it enough.

This story is intense in the subject matter and may be too much for some, it is a slow burn between Hestia and Spark. This does end in a cliffhanger and I cannot wait for the next installment.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Oh my, I thought that I knew what I was getting into with this story. It was that and so much more. Spark and Hestia have a story that will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. To get to the highs you must trudge your way thru the very bowels of hell to get there. Both of these characters have faced horrors that are unimaginable to me. You will shed a lot of tears while reading this book. Just accept it, grab the book and it will be worth it in the end. Hestia has so many trust issues. Spark cannot get past the guilt and the mental struggle of the pain he went thru. The club will have their back because that is what family is about

Two souls who have lived through so much trauma they feel as if they should carry that burden for the rest of their lives. I couldn't put the book down. So much action, drama, danger, suspense, anger, fear, pain, guilt, tragedy, violence, abuse, mental emotion, torture, patience, passion and love. Spark and Heista are trying to work through their past trauma with a physical therapist and they meet when Heista tries to help Spark and finds that he can help her also. I was totally engrossed in this story and couldn't put it down. You'll have to read the book to find out what happened in their lives.

This book is best read in order after the previous book in the series. You can still get the gist of it bit best read in order. Spark is burned badly when he goes to rescue a woman, which results in him bei g in a coma. He is battling everything in his past but especially blaming himself for not saving her. Hestia is the person whom his brothers hire to take care of him and help him in his time of need. She does not have the best bedside manner bit she is what he needs. Will these two be able to heal each other? Intensely emotional story. Have your

I really enjoyed this book! It was a great read and it had a lot more depth than the average romance book. The two main characters, Spark and Hestia, were perfect for each other and I loved reading about their character development as they grew together. They both had traumatic pasts, but throughout the book, they began to heal. Despite all of his anger Spark forgave himself and Hestia was able to cope with her past. I also really liked the supporting characters and the MC in general. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes mc romances with angst!

Where to begin. Spark and Hestia are both trying to overcome there own traumas. They are thrown together when she needs to help him. Can they get past their issues go find happiness. This book is an emotional roller coaster. I will say I might have ugly cried a few times. This author knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat and maybe even throw the book. This series never disappoints. It had me from minute one and I could not put it down. One of the best written books I have read in awhile. Absolutely perfect.

I was so enthralled in this book it was over before I realized it. The descriptions in the first chapter were so expressive and heart wrenching. Spark brought me back to the felling in the first books of the WOD series, raw, dramatic, and familial. And Hestia is a little spitfire! She doesn't take any guff from Spark and it's entertaining to say the least. Great addition to the Boys of Djinn, and look out for that ending!

Love the Boys of Djinn

This is another series that you just can’t put down. Spark feels like he doesn’t deserve to be considered part of the crew anymore and doesn’t even want to get better since he feels he failed. Heista was hurt so bad before and is afraid of Kato come if back to hurt her more. It becomes a small world when her worst nightmare lands on the MCs doorstep. Spark does everything he can to protect her.
Can’t wait to see what happens next when they all realize their other brother who has been undercover may not be able to help them either.

Intense MC romance read.

Talk about intense, high impact read. We get the continuation of Sparks painful and tragic story that will have you hanging at the edge of your seat as his road of recovery has its ups and down. Things get interesting when Hestia gets the courage to help him and in turn find out that she might have found someone to help her. I love all the danger, excitement and suspense that made this newest addition a must read. I can’t wait for more especially with that jaw dropping ending.

Spark is recovering from being trapped in a fire and his brothers hire a physical therapist to help him. Hestia is a PT that is recovering from her own trauma. The two together are a match made in heaven. He fights her to hide from his brothers but she doesn't let him bully her around or hide from his trauma. Together they push each other to be better and get past their demons. Trouble comes calling and Spark finds his reason to live again. Steamy and action packed MC romance.

Spark tried to save Margot from a burning building but did not succeed leaving him terribly burned so his brother Wyatt hires physical therapist Hestia to help him once he comes home from the hospital. Spark does not want to get well because he feels guilty that he could not save Margot but Hestia will not let him get away with feeling guilty so she pushes him until she almost has a break down as she tells him about her kidnapping where she was raped and tortured and the man was never caught. While Hestia gets taken again by the same man Spark steps up to save her while also saving himself.

I'm not sure where to start with Spark. Nothing I say will do this book and it's storyteller justice. If you read Cody, book 2 in this series then you may think you already have an idea of what's coming. I did, but what I didn't expect was to feel every single ounce of pain Spark did. Ms. Lake has completely broke my heart with this one, of by the end it was mended and she's laid the ground work for our next great adventure with The Boys Of Djinn. Spark and Hestia’s story is a very good. Hestia has suffered a horrific event a few years prior to taking on Spark as her patient. He is currently recovering from a tragedy himself. Very emotional! Having them work through their grievances together is what ends up saving them both. Well it would seem that way until the end!! Now we wait until Preston’s story to see how the guys get out of the jam they’ve found themselves in.
