Betrayal was such a simple word. But such a complex emotion. The woman I loved had turned her back on me. Taken everything I’d offered and thrown it away.

I may have vowed to protect her, but she's thrown down the gauntlet. And no matter how much I crave her, there will be consequences.

Emma Varma might be the beauty, but now she’ll meet the beast. I’ll keep my vow. I'll keep her safe from our enemies.

But her soul and her heart will no longer be safe with me.

Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling author, Nana Malone writes Sexy Feel-Good Romance and loves of all things romance and adventure.

That love started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.

Thank you Valentine PR and the author for sending me this ARC!
+ release date: march 1st

After the ending of the last book I was really excited to get my hands on this, and I was not disappointed. Bridge & Emma’s relationship is so complexe, I absolutely love it. Not only is there some marital issues they have to work through, but the underlying plot is so captivating. I always think I know where it’s going but then it completely blindsides me.

I have to say that after this book, I’m really excited to read the conclusion!!

Oh yes! Nana Malone knows the perfect formula to get me hooked to a story instantly. Bridge of Lies is no exception. Emma and Bridge are on an adventure. It's dangerous. It's steamy. It's emotional. You won't be able to stop till the last page and I am already craving the final book in the series.

Bridge of Lies is the second book of trilogy. Bridge Edgerton and his powerful and rich friends called London Lords are trying to avenge the death of their best friend Toby years ago. They have slowly taken over the secret organisation called the Elite but the evil parts are still there. Toby's sister Emma Verma won't stay in sideline. So comes a fake marriage and infiltration of the enemy's business. But they have always loved each other. And these extreme situations are bringing out the intensity of their connection.

Nana Malone makes her heroines equally fierce and alpha as her heroes. So Bridge may be the super possessive and aggressive and arrogant alpha but Emma doesn't let him dictate her life easily. Bridge wants to keep her safe and away from danger but Emma is fierce and stubborn and she won't stay behind. Their chemistry is just crazy. Insane. Mindblowing. They had to go through a lot of emotional trial. The situation is volatile. Enemies are everywhere. Secrets and lies and twists are coming one after another. It's a life and death situation. And they have to work as a team. They have to trust each other. Bridge has a dark closed off heart and Emma has to break the barriers to show him that she will be with him till the last end. The suspense was breathtaking and I was chewing my nails. The big family of London Lords and their queens made me feel so happy as always. Their bromance is epic!

Oh boy but Bridge is upset with his Emma! She pulled a tstl moment at the end of London Bridge, and it's got him all upset. So now he's set on treating Emma as the enemy. But she's not of course; she is, however, a very determined woman intent on finding who killed her brother. In London Bridge, she was already upset with Bridge and co. for not looping her in on their plans for bringing down the people responsible, and now that she has the chance herself to do something? Yeah, she's not about to bail, even if it's dangerous for her and could cause her fake hubs to view her actions as a betrayal. And now the two of them will need to get on the same page, figure out how they're going to take down the enemy, and dodge all the danger they're in themselves. Oh and a little tiny thing like work on their so called fake marriage.

I thought London Bridge was all intense and suspenseful with its crafting of the tension between Emma and Bridge, and giving us layers of secrets and suspense, but Bridge of Lies takes all that and amps everything up by a hundred at least. It's completely obvious to everyone but each other and themselves, that Bridge and Emma's marriage is anything but fake, just as it's obvious that Emma is no wilting wallflower, isn't about to allow Bridge to run her life and make decisions for her. She will do things on her own, even at great danger to herself, go rogue, if she can help, and it's this crux that has Bridge all up in arms. I smirked the whole time even as I worried for Emma, but I loved how she flouted her very alpha hubby's bossy directives. I'm anxiously awaiting their conclusion, hoping Emma will be OK, that she and Bridge will get their shit together, and that Toby's murder will be avenged.

Since we had such a cliffhanger in the 1st book, I was so eager to start reading the second one so I know what happens next. This book kept me on my toes. I mean literally.

In here, we have the story for book one revealing itself bit by bit. Emma and Bridge were soo good for each other. Their love life so much tense. And let's not forget that we have a danger lurking in every corner... shadows from the past, bad guys...you name it.

The good part in this book is that both Emma and Bridge managed to clear the misunderstandings and find the right path of love.

I will not say more, but I will say this...This cliffhanger was even better than the previous one. Well, we have to wait for the last book to see what happens...I can not wait 😈😈😈.

Oh, I didn’t see that coming! Another great London Lords story! In the earlier series I didn’t feel any connection to Bridge but that certainly changed. He’s definitely more complex. This book also has bigger, more devious twists than expected. Lots of mysteries to be concluded in Broken Bridge!

Bridge of Lies is book two in the Speak No Evil Trilogy and cannot be read as a standalone.

Good Grief, Nana Malone! My mind is whirling from everything that happened in Bridge of Lies. As Bridge and Emma work through what looks like betrayal, the danger surrounding them continues to grow. And, the more information they discover about James Middleton, the more terrified I become for this couple because it is clear he is more deadly and deranged than anyone knew.

And, let’s take a moment to talk Bridge and Emma . . . ooohhhh my goodness, this couple could not be any hotter and not spontaneously combust into flames. Bridge’s possessive streak and Emma’s need for independence may clash, but oh boy, only in the best of ways!

I’m also shook trying to figure out all of the players in the game and what exactly their endgame is . . . Why is Bridge’s father trying to frame him for murder? What does Emma’s father have to do with any of this since he walked away so many years ago? Who is the mysterious letter writer? This plot is a masterpiece of interwoven stories and characters and it is thrilling watching everything build up to see the final showdown happen in book three. 5 stars!

This sinfully seductive series has me obsessed. Rich emotions, intense feels, taut drama, razor-sharp tension, sizzling heat, stretch-your-nerves-to-the-breaking-point danger and suspense, heart rate raising action and whiplash inducing twists quickly pulls you right back into Bridge and Emma's continuing story. Things pick up right after that cliffy from book one (you must read these books in order). A high energy pace, skillful writing and smart storyline, combined with complex easy to care about characters create an impossible to resist, totally addicting, rush of breath stealing, pulse racing, decadent lusciousness that is not to be missed. I am independently posting an impartial review.

Holy I can not express how much I love this series, these men and their bad a$$ women. So many secrets and lies, some exposed, some create more questions. Bridge and Emma have this attraction that is just explosive, when they work as a team they are unstoppable. I Love this part of the series, and I need more. My mind is spinning.

WoW! SO much happened in this book that I do NOT want to spoil it for anyone so this is a hard one for me to review. The gang is back, and Emma and Bridge are struggling through a mystery that just gets more twisted the deeper you go. I love their ups and downs, and their banter had me laughing to myself in an empty room like an idiot. As the secrets are revealed and more truths are exposed, they have to find a way to work together without killing each other or themselves in the process. Secret societies, sarcasm, sexiness, suspense... ALL the s words are jam packed into this one! Who is good and who is bad gets all kinds of twisted and I can NOT wait to find out how all of this turns out!

Bridge was taught that guilt was a useless emotion so why was he feeling guilty? Emma had made her choice when she betrayed him working with his father. He had put her in protective custody...kidnapped her. He was determined to punish her for her betrayal, but also protect her from Middleton.

Emma was pissed. She knew she had made a mistake, but Bridge wouldn't even listen to why she had met with his father. She was determined that he and his friends let her help in proving Middleton was responsible for the death of her brother and if they wouldn't she would do it herself.

I loved this book! It is very well written and all the characters that you loved from book one are back and the girl crew are determined to help Emma. This is the second book in the SPEAK NO EVIL trilogy and is just as action-packed as book one.

They are getting no closer to their answers and feel they are putting Emma in deeper danger, but Emma has a knack for doing before thinking which leads to a major cliffhanger. I love how close Emma is becoming to the girls in the group. A family that she is craving after the death of her brother.

Bridge has high walls of distrust because of his father, especially after finding out his first wife had been a plant, but he is losing his fight to keep his distance emotionally from Emma. Emma is determined to push every button she can to get Bridge's attention so he realizes she isn't a child and wants to be a partner in not only their relationship, but the search for answers.

This book is full of intrigue, danger and suspense. The chemistry between Bridge and Emma is smoldering hot. This story ends with a major cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the conclusion to their story.

I highly recommend this book and anything Nana Malone!

This is the second book in the Speak No Evil Trilogy and you definitely need to read the first one, London Bridge in order to understand or enjoy this one.

This book picks up right at the cliffhanger of London Bridge. Bridge and Emma have loved each other for so long but only from afar. Up close, they battle each other every step of the way (except for one momentary lapse for Bridge). If only these two could communicate with each other and actually mean and do what they promise they'll do.

Emma is seeking revenge for her brother's death. Bridge and his mates are also seeking revenge on Emma's brother's death but it's not so easy. Bridge and the boys are part of a secret society and it's this society that killed her brother. But you can't just take down a fellow member. They've been secretly working to take each person down but this last one seems to be one step ahead of them. Emma loves to just dive in headfirst and worry about the repercussions later while Bridge and his mates are all about planning.
Once again, Nana Malone takes the reader on a wonderful ride of twists and turns and just when you think all is going well, BAM, she leaves you with a cliffhanger. I can't wait to see how this one ends.
A fantastic trilogy!

What happens when you think you're doing the right thing only to be caught red-handed and have everyone mad at you? Your husband kidnaps you and holds you, hostage. It's not as bad as it seems. Emma is trying to solve her brother's mysterious death. Her husband, who was also Emma's brother's best friend, feels like the love of his life can't be trusted. Bridge has worked so hard to provide for his mum and succeed in the world despite his father's constant cruel intentions of destroying Bridge's life. Emma went to Bridge's father to find out if Bridge was in any serious danger. After meeting with his father, Emma developed a long list of angry friends. However, when Bridge finally lets her talk, he discovers that his worst crime of not trusting her was his downfall. We finally get to see the larger-than-life Bridge fall, crumble, and show his weaknesses. The rest of the story is a wild rollercoaster ride of mystery, intrigue, and suspense. I could not put this book down until the very end. Consequently, I am dying for the third book to read. Emma is feisty and gets herself into trouble with her independent spirit, but she puts Bridge through his paces, leaving him frustrated, crazy, and unable to stay away from her.

Nana Malone is masterful in weaving the suspenseful tales of Bridge and Emma. With the Cliffhanger ending of their first book, it’s fair to say that the beginning of this book sees a very complicated and albeit questionable relationship between the new couple. However, after a proper @$$ kicking from his mother, he finally listens to what Emma has to say and damn do things go from 0-100 real quick. Things in this book are heating up between Emma and Bridge, between the group and Middleton, the couple’s father’s come into play, and some very interesting things are revealed that could tip the scales significantly. They are more of a team now and things are progressing rather quickly and precariously. They know that danger is lurking always just around the corner, but now they are fully committed to their finding a resolution together. We learn more very disturbing things about Middleton and his masks continues to slip. However, I think the ending is just a red herring of sorts and a creation of more problems before we have a clear and clean solution. Damn Nana, you are a beast when it comes to this writer life and any time I’m fighting not to peak ahead to see just a glimpse of what “may” happen is proof that you had me hook, line, and sinker my dear!💋💋

First off, if you have not read London Bridge STOP and go read it, because Bridge of Lies is the second book in the Speak No Evil series, and it picks up right where London Bridge left off. HOLY SMOKES does this one keep you on the edge of your seats! I absolutely loved it! Nana Malone is such a talented writer. She keeps her readers on the edge of their seats by revealing bit by bit of the plot of this story, which she has already ensnared us in with all of the intrigue, mystery and whodunit, and boy oh boy, is much revealed in Bridge of Lies.

Despite Bridge being so hurt by Emma's actions at the end of London Bridge, he loves her way too much to leave her in danger, especially since he has been protecting since they were kids. And for me, this is what makes Bridge such an amazing man, and them such a great team even though they have much to work out and figure out in order to truly be as one. Let me just say that my heart truly feels for Bridge...he truly has had it rough with his father meddling in his life and love life.

If you are looking for a fast-paced, steamy, action packed story with the most amazing characters you will meet, then this is the story for you. I cannot wait for Broken Bridge, the conclusion to Emma and Bridge's story.

I love Bridge and Emma, I was dying to keep reading their story and this book was absolutely perfect! We dive right into after the cliffhanger of the previous book so we know what happens right away, but most of the book the suspense was killing me and I loved all the drama, the conflicts but especially the steamy scenes between Bridge and Emma, their banter is so good and they always make me laugh.

Emma and Bridge have a lot of problems to face in this book, besides all the secrets and the unknown they have to face thanks to all the people surrounding them. That’s where Bridge and Emma collided, Emma always wanted to help but Bridge didn’t want to put her at risk so he often acted in a way that Emma didn’t like and the other way around. They fought a lot but thanks to that they started trusting the other more and sharing their plans so they wouldn’t be worried about the other.

Also their chemistry was really off the charts, I loved how they couldn’t keep their hands off each other and how opened they were in order for them to experiment with confidence in bed. I loved all of their moments together, how Bridge worried about her and how they both took care of each other.

The last few chapters I was really nervous because of the things that were happening, and as always I knew it was going to end in a cliffhanger but it was something I didn’t see coming so now I’m intrigued to know what happens next and how will be the end for Emma and Bridge.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

This is the second book in the Speak No Evil Trilogy. This trilogy is interconnected with See No Evil Trilogy, (Ben and Olivia's story), and Hear No Evil Trilogy (East and Nyla). You don't have to read these series before, but believe me, you don't want to miss them. However, for a better understanding, you have to read the prequel, Bridge of Love, and London Bridge (book #1) before this one. Bridge and Emma are fantastic characters. Bridge is handsome, alpha, possessive, and protective. Emma is sassy, strong, independent, and smart. They have a complex and passionate relationship. They are perfect together. Their story continues where the first book left off. The storyline is captivating, filled with danger, suspense, secrets, intrigue, and twists and turns. The cast of supporting characters is impressive, and I loved to see again the characters from the interconnected trilogies. As expected, the story ends with a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to reading Broken Bridge, the conclusion to Bridge and Emma's story! I love this excellent and entertaining trilogy!

OMG!! Bridge & Emma's story just keeps getting better and better. After the heart stopping finale of London Bridge, Bridge of Lies does not dissappoints. More intrigues and lies are revealed and more secrets await to be uncover. Bridge might be heart broken and might say he wants nothing to do with Emma, but she will work hard to regain his trust, even if is just a bit of what they had before and be closer to him. All the team will come together once more to try to unmask Francis and avenge Toby's death, but Francis will do everything in his power to make Emma his.
With another heart stopping finale, I'm sure you will not be able to wait for what can only be the epic conclusion of Bridge & Emma's story. Bridge of Lies is an amazing story that keeps us glued to the page and keeps building the suspense as we uncover secrets and complicated lies. It is pure steam of the page that will make you want more right away.

Bridge and Emma!!

Wow, I have to say that I think Bridge and Emma may be my favourite couple so far!!

Bridge is such a broody and sexy man that you almost could forgive him for his controlling nature due to his pure motivation of loving Emma and wanting to protect her. This is why I love the dual POV.
On her part, Emma just wants to be treated as an equal, to be involved and to be kept informed. Their explosive chemistry and fiery passion means that as always the bedroom scenes are hot and steamy.

The writing though is always well balanced by the witty prose and Ms Malone’s trademark humour that has me coming back time after time because somehow, she keeps things fresh and new.

More of the overall suspense plot is being revealed but we know that the best will be kept for last and I can’t wait to get my hands on the last book. I have no idea how she does it, but Ms Malone’s second book in this trilogy is definitely a 5-Star-read! ❤♚❤

Bridge and Emma are my favorite couple of all time. We pick up where we left off in London Bridge (#1). Bridge has done the unthinkable and Emma is trying to explain why she did what she did as well. These two can be mad at each other all they want but their chemistry is so strong, words do not matter when it comes to their relationship. They love hard and have loved each other forever. Bridge will move heaven and earth to protect Emma. She wants answers to her brother’s death. Middleton is awful and someone you will easily hate. Someone is after her and she is just trying to figure out who keeps warning her of the danger she is in.

Bridge of Lies is suspenseful and thrilling. You cannot help but be on the edge of your seat as you go along this journey with these two. I need answers just as much as they do.

Gah, I need more! Bridge and Emma are explosive! They fight, they lie, they’re secretive, they’re a team and most importantly, they love. The chemistry between them is off the charts and they can’t keep their hands off one another. There is still mystery that needs to be solved. But along with that, there is danger. Emma and Bridge, along with the Lords and their women all work together to figure things out. Then bam, another cliffhanger. I cannot wait for the next book. I have so many questions that I need answers. Bridge of Lies will keep you on your toes throughout the book and then you’re left suspended on those toes until book three. These books need to be read in order. They are not stand alone’s. Just absolutely amazing!

This is shaping up to be yet another thrilling trilogy from this talented author.
As this is the middle book and there are all these puzzle pieces that haven't found their right places yet I can't really comment much on either the characters or the plot, but you'll find yourself madly turning pages while your head and your heart will be torn in many different directions.
This couple definitely needs to work on their communication as going rogue seems to be their go to and just ends up making things worse.
The "villain" of this trilogy seems to be the most calculated yet which only makes the books more thrilling when they try thrawt him.
Eagerly awaiting the final book to see if they are successful with everyone in one piece.

This is the second book in the Trilogy. I have to say that I could not wait to get my hands on this book as we were left with a real cliffhanger in the last book. I was waiting impatiently to get this book and find out what happens next and how we will be left waiting for the final book. This one did not disappoint, just like all of Nana Malone's book.

I have to say that Bridge and Emma are perfect for each other but just don't want to admit it for one reason or another. There is danger all around and that just makes it harder for Bridge to protect Emma, well that and her determination that she needs answers and won't quit till she gets them.

You won't regret the read but to keep up with all of this you really should read the first book in this trilogy.

Nana is in fire !! This trilogy is getting crazier and crazier and you crave the next installment not even minutes after you finish a book .. who did it .. why is she running .. can they get the evidence .. this installment of Bridge and Emma has all of it and even more questions and speculations !!

As newly husband and wife, Bridge and Emma have to look lovey dovey .. BUT little does everyone know they are truly and deeply in LOVE. But LOVE can’t save them form the enemy and who is the ENEMY ?? Is it Middleton or is it the fathers ?? Middleton is a loose cannon BUT 3 fathers might be worse than him ??

There are so many questions and just a couple of answers but what we do know is the brothers/family is enough for these two. The girls and guys mean the world to each other and will stop at nothing to find the culperates of Toby’s death and even if it means using Interpole to get some answers….

Even Mama knows Emma will do anything for Bridge even if it means giving herself to save another loved one .. that is how much he means to her .. sacrifice !!

Bridge and Emma’s relationship is so up and down because she refuses to listen to anyone and it always gets her in trouble. Emma is driven by her desire to help the London Lords catch her brother's killer gets herself into a precarious work situation that throws her right into the midst of a psychopath. Bridge, unwilling to bend and lose control is smacked upside the head by Emma’s need to be involved. The mystery just keeps unfolding. So many questions, who is sending Emma those messages, why is Bridge’s father trying to make it look like Bridge is a murderer, and is Middleton connected to her brother’s death. I can't wait to get the final conclusion.

Wow, what a thrilling continuation to Bridge & Emma’s story! This picks up right after the heartstopping ending in book one and hits the ground running. I was just as surprised as Emma to find out what happened to her. Bridge felt betrayed by Emma when he learned she met with his father. But he loves her so much he will still do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Bridge and Emma are so much alike as they usually act without thinking a situation through. They are newlyweds and their relationship needs work. I loved how they figured out how to be a team in and out of their marriage. As they grow closer together, they aren't getting any closer to finding out how to take down Middleton. This story grows even more complex and dangerous. They need to find out why someone is trying to frame Bridge for murder, who is sending Emma secret messages, and so much more. This story is fast paced, action packed and sizzling hot! The story ends with another heart-pounding cliffhanger. There were some questions answered in this second book, but so many more secrets that need to be reveled. I can't wait for the conclusion to Bridge & Emma’s exciting and steamy story in bk #3 of the Speak No Evil Trilogy, Broken Bridge!

Bridge & Emma… you need a get-a-long shirt. You know the kind that mom’s make their kids wear when they aren’t getting along. Maybe that would force you to talk to each other instead of being stubborn and doing your own thing without the concern of the other. In true Nana spirit, she sprinkles just the right amount of humor, danger, chemistry, mystery, and stubbornness to make for a great read that leaves you demanding an amazing finale. And not just any finale, but one you’ll never see coming. Emma driven by her desire to help the London Lords catch her brothers killer gets herself into a precarious work situation that throws her right into the midst of a psychopath. Bridge, unwilling to bend and lose control is smacked upside the head by Emma’s need to be involved. Unfortunately, Emma doesn’t look for danger before she runs into things and Bridge doesn’t entertain ideas that may be different than what he anticipated. Their story is full of tension, both good and bad, as they try to take another crooked member of the elite down. Will they succeed and if so, at what cost? Can’t wait to find out.

Another winner in the London Lords series. Book 2 of Bridge and Emma's trilogy is action packed, hot and steamy and full of intrigue. Each of these books has been pedal to the metal paced and leave us hanging on that cliff at the end. As always, a big part of the fun is the relationships between the entire cast of characters. As they said in this book, they are the family they made. These relationships are written so well that as the reader you can feel the emotions between all of them. The chemistry between Bridge and Emma is off the charts in this one. The mystery just keeps unfolding. I can't wait to get the the final conclusion. I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
