• Bonus content: select chapters from Fisher's point of view
USA Today & Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, Jewel E. Ann returns with an addictive new adult romance about a young woman who discovers years of Sunday sermons didn’t prepare her for the many lessons of the crude and sexy man who is now her boss.
It's official.
I'm eighteen and a young woman with endless possibilities on my way to reunite with my mom in Colorado after five years apart—she had a little weed incident in Nebraska.
At the airport, she springs the news on me ... she's leaving for a month of job training. And me? I'm left on my own in the basement she's renting from the fisherman, aka her landlord who lives upstairs.
He's ten years older than me. Never wears a shirt. And makes it hard to remember all the things I learned at Christian Academy.

I picked this one up for the bonus content, and it was worth it. I love dual POV, but it’s nice when it’s not that when the author gives us a little taste of the missing perspective. I thought this was good, and I’m glad Jewel took her time to give her readers this special treat!
“Every fiber of my being knew we were meant to be together. Five days. Five months. Five years. It didn’t matter. We would be okay. Our love was that strong. She was that strong.”
Did I read this just for the bonus Fisher POV? Yes.
It’s not much, but my poor, greedy heart wanted whatever I could get. 💔❤️🩹
I pressed her cheek to my chest, hoping my heart could whisper the emotions I was too weak to say. I love you. I love you now. I’ll love you when you’re not mine. I’ll love you forever.
All I can say is Bonus Chapters in Fisher’s POV!!!!! I repeat, Bonus Chapters in Fisher’s POV! And they are freaking everything.
I you read my reviews of The Naked Fisherman and The Lost Fisherman then you know this duet was at the top of my favorite reads for 2021. This special edition is even better since it contains both books plus the amazingness that is bonus chapters in Fisher’s POV. Spoiler Alert- we get to find out what really happened in Costa Rica!
If you haven’t read the duet, then this is the perfect opportunity and if you have then run and get those bonus chapters, they’re amazing,
A top favorite for 2022 (even though the series released in 2021 lol)! I am so in love with these two books and the amazing couple Jewel E. Ann has given us. The Fisherman Series is an age-gap, hate-to-love, forced proximity and forbidden romance all rolled into one beautiful love story. And when you get to the second installment it also has one hell of a second chance feel.
Without spoiling anything for anyone, I want to say Fisher and Reese have stolen my heart. Their story is full of banter, angst, crazy hot chemistry and all the emotions. This is my second time reading Jewel E. Ann and I am loving her writing SO MUCH. I just loved this couple, how they deal with their taboo relationship, how that evolves in the second book and finally when they get their much deserved happy ending. Gah, this is one of my favorite series I've read in a while and I seriously cannot wait to read more by this author. Also, if you have already read the two installements, in this special edition you have several chapters from Fisher's POV and it's something you don't want to miss. What a wonderful experience!
So excited to get more Fisher scenes but most of them were repeats of scenes I’d already read, with repeats of entire conversations all over again. I was hoping to learn what happened away from Reese. Still, a fab series.
Great cover and bonus content for this duet. Reading the chapters from Fisher's POV brought me back to the story and all the things I loved about it: the emotion, the fantastic sexual tension buildup, the great and genuine dialogue, a bit snarky on young Reese's side. To re-read multiple times in the future!
I will NEVER tire of this story! I stand by my original review of both books and add that I absolutely loved Fishers pov. He was a swoon worthy grumpy sunshine and I will love him forever! JEA knows how to write the MMC of your dreams and I could literally reread every book she’s ever written many many times. I love her and her words…that is all!
The bonus content didn’t do too much for me! It made us more aware of the deep love from Fishers POV but nothing really you’re missing out on vs the originals
This is what we deserved the first time around. Fisher’s POV and this GORGEOUS cover. You best believe I am donating my original duet and buying this stunning paperback.
This fisherman series is broken up into 2 books - the naked fisherman and the lost fisherman and I was utterly consumed with them both!
18 year old Reece goes to live with her mum (who just got out of prison after 5years) after finishing school and leaving her grandparents who took care of her after Reece’s father died. After not seeing her mum for the past 5 years, Reece is nervous/excited about having a relationship with her mum again. Rory (Reece’s mum) lives in the basement (not really a basement) of Fisher Mann’s home. Fisher is a 28year old eternal bachelor who runs his own construction business. He is sexy, confident and caring and Reece, despite her strong Christian beliefs gets the biggest crush on Fisher and vice versa. When Rory goes away for work leaving just Reece and Fisher in the house their feelings only grow… however, Reece struggles with her faith, and desperately trying to hang onto her virginity until marriage; ultimately causing quite a divide between her and fisher in addition to their age gap. The book ends with a declaration of love and Reece leaving to go on a mission in Thailand with her church friend Brendan.
In the lost Fisherman, Reece returns to her mum after 4 years when hearing Fisher was in a bad accident and lost his memory. He doesn’t remember Reece, Rory, he work or the fact that he was engaged. This one was sure angsty with Reece hoping for the opportunity for Fisher to fall in love with her again despite his memory loss, while his finance Angie desperately tries to make Fisher remember they are engaged. It’s not until right near the end, just when you think all hope is lost that Fisher gets his memory back.
Honestly, I’m a sucker for an age-gap romance and Fisher/Reeces story was no exception. I loved every part of this book and did not want to put it down.
Title: The Naked Fisherman . 🔨Landlord/Tennant 🔨Age-Gap 🔨Opposites Attract . “You deserve to have your breath taken away…every day.” . Review: I had no idea what to expect with this book. I was excited and nervous going in. Jewel knows just how to rip your heart out. This book was so good I couldn't put it down. I stayed up way too late reading (2:30AM) and neglected all my adulting duties,😝 but I couldn't stop. Jewel knows just how to hook you in. Each book I read of hers I can't put them down. I don't want to say too much because I actually love going into Jewel's books blind. This book does end on a cliffhanger! . Reese has lived a very sheltered life with her grandparents, (which was totally me by the way). She relocates in order to reconnect with her mother. Only it isn't what she expects when she arrives. From her first meeting with The Naked Fisherman there is heat. Oh my gosh I could feel it through my phone. I absolutely devoured The Naked Fisherman.😏 He was DELICIOUS!🥵🤤 The angst in this book was nothing like I have ever experienced. It brought back so many memories of my teenage years.😂 Reese was mature in the situations she was put in. Maybe even more so than I would be.🤣 I think she may be my favorite heroine. I loved the way The Naked Fisherman handled Reese and everything about her. The banter, sexual innuendos, the chemistry, tension, serious and swoon worthy parts just stole my heart.
“Oh, naked fisherman…how does it feel to carry my heart in your pocket? Its fate solely dependent on you?”
I fell hard for him and wanted to steal him all for myself. I really don't want to give too much away. JUST READ THIS BOOK!
Title: The Lost Fisherman . 🔨Second Chance 🔨Age-Gap 🔨Opposites Attract . “You are my favorite place in the world.” . Review: This is book 2 in the Fisherman duet. You must read book 1, The Naked Fisherman, before you can read this book. This book picks up a time after book 1 finishes. I could not wait to get my hands on this book to know what happened. In true Jewel fashion she kept me glued and I ignored my adult life because I couldn't put this book down! The much anticipated release of this book did NOT disappoint! It really was the perfect conclusion for them. . Reese wanted to find herself, get more experiences and decide what she wanted in life. She did just that and became stronger for it. When the unexpected brings her back to Colorado and to her Naked Fisherman. Reese's world tilts slightly from where she was headed but she continues on, knowing what she wants.
“I’m in. I’m in as long as you want me to be in your life. Even on the days it hurts like hell. I’m in.”
Fisher has a hard road ahead and I felt for him. This man stole my heart.
“I love you today.”
Jewel knows just how to tug on every emotion. I did not see the plot twist coming that she threw at us, but it was done perfectly. I still have not been able to stop thinking about these two and I just want more of them. I fell hard for them and they will forever hold a special place in my heart. Jewel continues to write such unique, emotional, thought provoking stories and she has remained as one of my top unicorn authors because of it! I love the Bonus Content Chapters from Fishers POV. I can't get enough of these two, so I still want more😂, but I'm so thankful that Jewel gave us more from Fisher! I again neglected my adulting duties to dive in! DO NOT MISS THIS DUET!
The Naked Fisherman- Oh Gosh, my heart hurts...and other parts are throbbing...
Apparently Jewel E. Ann was in "clam jam" mode while writing this book!!! All the hot and heavy with a clear "do not cross line" makes this reader a horny and upset woman. 😜
All jokes aside the chemistry is smoking, the age gap worrisome, and the denial is heartbreaking. I was worried Jewel hated on those who stick to their beliefs at the beginning but that's not the case. Religion is a big part of Reese's life and unfortunately she is experiencing several crossroads at one time.
I'm desperate to get my fairytale...I hope Jewel doesn't keep me waiting long!
The Lost Fisherman- Was Lost but Now [He's] Found
I was whining and pouty when I finished The Naked Fisherman. I am seriously impatient and get very needy/greedy when I hit a "to be continued."
Jewel E. Ann didn't make me wait too long and for that I am thankful. What she did do was make me crazy! The Lost Fisherman wasn't even close to what I thought. Wipe away your expectations because this story is better and worse (for your emotions).
Parting is such sweet sorrow; I totally cried at the end of The Naked Fisherman. Reunions are bot always what we make them out to be in our heads. Reese is stronger than I would be and 110% the goals here! She is human and it hurts.
Fisher is a hot mess. A HAWT mess too! Life, love, and the pursuit of happiness become an epic emotional spiral for all involved. Hold onto your hearts, clutch your imaginary pearls, and hold your bets!
Because what was once lost...has been found.
BONUS MATERIAL-
Oh yes,oh yes, oh yes!!!! The inside of this Fisherman's head is worth a perusal. Fisher loves hard and though we knew...we didn't know. That validation you get reading Fisher's point of view is a chocolate fudge brownie fresh out of the oven (prepared by someone else) waiting just for you... In other words, completely unnecessary but totally appreciated!
Y'ALL I can't convey enough my LOVE for this duet. Book two is my top 2 books EVER READ!! And that is saying a lot since I have read thousands of books. Reese and her battle to enter adulthood is my favorite journey EVAH. This is must read epicness people. MUST READ. I don't say that lightly, and I definitely don't YELL that lightly.. Do yourself a favor and read this version because the glimpses into Fisher's POV are worth every single second. I have re-read this series more times than I am comfortable sharing LOL especially book two. It is my reset book. It lives in my heart and I can't love it more. READ THIS BOOK xoxo
Boxset of The Fishermen Duet featuring bonus chapters featuring POV of the hero for select chapters/scenes
The Naked Fisherman (Book # 1 of Duet) 5 Stars Jewel E. Ann always knocks it out of the park and I could tell less than 10% in that this book was going to be a full five stars and one of my most favorite books read this year. I absolutely LOVED the interactions between Fisher and Reese and felt the joy and angst of their love from the very beginning. Maybe I had a little of that angst since during all of that fun stuff (and there is SO much) they are hurtling full-speed toward an inevitable separation necessitated by being too young/not ready for true love, but it was so delicious it just added to the greatness of this romance. I have to say I'm really glad book two is out already though so I can get to their HEA as soon as possible.
Following the above book, there are a few chapters retold from Fisher's POV as a bonus for the special edition. I have to admit I am a reader who more often than not prefers POV from one person only (generally heroine), because I like to glean what the hero is thinking from their actions, words, expressions as seen by the heroine, leaving a little bit of mystery for the H's exact thoughts. The main book did all of those things so well that it is one of my favorite examples of that kind of thing, so these chapters from Fisher's POV didn't really add value for me personally, and probably more than half of the words is dialogue we already read in the main book (since that doesn't change, obviously), with Fisher's thoughts that I already figured out for myself, or that were too on the nose and detract from the hero mystery I find so titillating in a heroine-only POV. It probably didn't help that I read them right after I read the book; it might have been better with a bit of distance.
The Lost Fisherman 5 Stars Seriously, this duet knocked it out of the park for me. The second book centered around one of my least favorite tropes but even I have to admit it was done very well, and I loved what it meant for Fisher and Reese's epic romance.
This is a deliberately short and vague review to avoid spoilers. If you're new to this author this is a great duet to start with. A beautiful contemporary romance that overall is really pretty light, despite some of the angst.
There are a few chapters from Fisher's POV at the end of this one too, and like I said after book one, they don't do much for me, though I LOVED the epilogue from his POV.
YES!!! Special Edition with bonus content - thank you to the author who listened to her readers when we all said we really wanted more from Fisher’s POV.
I’ve already read and loved The Fisherman Series. I especially found the epilogue of The Lost Fisherman intriguing as it gave that glimpse of Fisher that I was really wanting across both books, so to have more chapters provided from his POV was a perfect addition to the series. I one clicked & read those bonus chapters as soon as I saw they were available. So good.
1. The Naked Fisherman = 4 ⭐️ 2. The Lost Fisherman = 5 ⭐️
I loved this duet SO MUCH!! I know it’s not some people’s cup of tea, but I loved Reese and Fisher together so damn much. They had some of the best chemistry I’ve ever read. There’s a lot of angst in this but it was so well done. I’m also so grateful to get some bonus chapters in Fisher’s POV during some pivotal moments. I was dying for his POV when I first read this.
I liked the books when I first read it without fishers pov but now that I have it the first book was.... "Uncomfortable" but at the same time cute? - his view on their situation was not sitting right with me but there were also some parts that showed more of his feelings towards her. I loved having his pov for the second book.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I already was hers. I just would never ever say the words because she deserved more than the infatuation of new love."
What You'll Find: ✔️Forbidden Romance ✔️Enemies to Lovers ✔️Age Gap ✔️New Adult ✔️Second Chance ✔️Dual POV
MINI REVIEW I had already read these books when they first came out separately. And while I enjoyed them (the second more that the first) I didn't love them. But when I seen that we'd get bonus chapters of Fisher's POV in this new special edition, I jumped at the chance to check them out. And while I did enjoy them, I don't feel they have changed how I feel about the duet. I think many will and have loved this duet. Something just wasn't there for me to love it. It wasn't the writing so much as the storyline and characters that I think just didn't jive for me. Because the duet is truly unputdownable. So check them out if this sounds like your jam!
I very much wanted to this book being my favorite one. But once again, it lamely was not. Well.. the fact was there were some issues in it against my principle. Kinda taboo things that I avoid to believe in. It's my opinion. That's it.
The rest, I indeed liked the love story between Reese and Fisher. One of the most beautiful second chance and love rekindling stories I've ever read.
These bonus scenes are exactly what I needed!!!! Now I have a Fisherman hangover all over again!!!!! Loooooove these books and characters so much!!!!! Loved being in Fisher’s head!!!
What a journey! I read the combined duet with bonus scenes from Fisher’s view. The growth over the two books was amazing, particularly Reece with the maturity (which was still lacking at times perhaps) showing why book 1 ended as it did.
There was so much sexual tension throughout the books, but it was light on the spicy descriptions.
Reading about a young, doubting Christian was probably appropriate for Easter!
Meet Therese better known as Reese an eighteen year old God-fearing teenager bound to reunite with her incarcerated mother after five years. Her brief reunion was put on hold for a month while Rory went to LA leaving her alone with Fisher Mann. While Rory was in prison, Reese spent three years living with her grandparents attending a Christian academy. All her beliefs were tied in with scripture, parental lectures, or sermons. In a matter of seconds sinful inappropriate thoughts occupied her mind on a minute by minute basis since meeting the Naked Fisherman. The only common element in this story is the recognition of Jewel E Ann’s writing voice. This story doesn’t fall into one trope it’s a combination of age-gap, coming-of-age, dating-the-boss, virgin, Christian, and forbidden all bound together to bring you one solid hot smokin read. For the first time it felt like Reese was walking into a new world. A sinners world that is. Jewel E Ann didn’t leave one stone unturned. She made sure to include every topic to counteract with Reese’s religious beliefs. Having her unleashed into a world of nonbelievers was thought provoking. Reese has unknowingly knocked on temptations door when she agreed to stay with her mom for the summer. Lucky for us readers who had the privilege to experience firsthand what’s it’s like to be an innocent inexperienced Christian eighteen year old living with an experienced older guy who for the love of God walks around without a shirt, wearing a sexy grin. Let the battle between right and wrong begin. How does she do it my wicked little queen? Jewel’s got a sharp witted tongue. The way she formulates words turning up the heat of angst. The hot meter is about to explode…amongst other things. This is what should happen when reading. My readers mind is unable to turn off thoughts of Reese and Fisher. They are constantly on my mind. Jewel E Ann had too much fun tormenting and torturing both Reese and Fisher with her immoral thoughts. This is the type of story you never want to end. It’s a feel good read. Jewel E Ann leaves the door open for readers to insert there own opinions and thoughts. Jewel doesn’t push or force or sway the reader to believe a certain way. If you haven’t already you need to visit Amazon and enter Jewel E Ann’s name in the search bar. You won’t be disappointed by any of the books she’s written. Begin anywhere. Just begin.
As you recall Reese left Fisher because it wasn’t the right time for them. So she left to pursue her dreams. Pushing morals aside for an epic conclusion to Reese and Fisher’s, dare I say, second chance forbidden age-gap romance. It’s a destructive and shameless course but it fun reading about all the naughty escapades. Oh! …and it’s still very complicated and messy. But there’s so much fun to be had in all that unforbiddenness. Reese continues to skirt the lines of sinning in the eyes of God with her teasing temptress ways. While in Thailand Reese found her calling. The answer to readers questions about the title gets answered and why it’s called The Lost Fisherman. Readers are going to love what Jewel created. Genius Jewel and her wicked talented way with words and ideas. She takes an familiar concept and brings new inventive ways to use idea.
I love the pace with which Jewel communicates with her writing language. She is fluent in moving things right along at a steady pace.
Time is moving forward. If you really stop to think about time which you will ten enough in this book then you will understand the various ways time works in our lives. It serves more than a means of tracking hours and minutes or the progress of days, weeks, and years in the past, present, and future. It’s what we do with that time that matters. In some cases we want to stall time or speed it up. Or maybe take some time to sort out feelings and compartmentalize them into fond cherished memories storing them away in journals while filing new ones along the way. In some ways that’s what this story is about…time.
I find information fascinating. The amount of time a good writer researches information pertaining to the storyline. Much to be learned from reading. I’m a gullible reader I will believe just about anything Jewel puts on paper. When she gives me information I believe her words. She has great advice to offer. Take these words for example…take time to find your way and focus on yourself. We hear them often enough and they become relevant words of advice when said in the ideal situation. It breathes hope.
I wonder we’re does Jewel’s wisdom come from? Is her relationship with family and friends one of those where they influence great words of advice for each of life’s experiences?
Tropes what I can I say they are used as a means to drive the story. Jewel E Ann takes familiar concepts and makes them new by twisting and turning the situations to fit into her characters lives. Everything Jewel E Ann touches turns into magic. She takes everyday words and jumbles them together to create thought provoking content so when the reader is done reading they can join a spoiler group and discuss how they felt. How very thoughtful of her. How many authors do you know who takes the time to recognize her readers comments by answering back with answers?
Remember the conundrum Reese was in with her religious beliefs regarding sex before marriage? Jewel is here to torture us readers with another conundrum. This one is huge. She once again tows the line between right and wrong skirting it in fun naughty ways.
There were mistakes. Lessons to be learned and tears to cry.
Jewel E Ann is my word idol. I’m just in awe at the way she formulates simple words. The way she communicates her thoughts not only into words but with great expression so I get all the feels. I feel like I’m a visitor inside her clever little mind getting glimpses of her imagination as they unfold one storybook at a time. Who knew she knew how to create some memorable book boyfriends? Her books make me want to sample every one f them guys. Each book boyfriend gives me something to hope for in the male population. I hope a grocery store guy really exists out there or a naked fisherman or a guy who transcends from another time period just fall in love me over and over again. My poor happy heart.
Ugh! the way Jewel explains the “talk” with reasonable solutions I just want to hand her my heart on a platter. I’m bowing down to the Queen of communication. I’m coming to you to sort my shite out in life. You are my life coach for putting thoughts into words. The icing on the heart cake platter are her apologies.
I devoured this series in less than 24 hours and I don't regret a single lack of sleep that came with it. Jewel E. Ann's writing makes you high that it makes up for the main characters' flaws. I'm just really a sappy hopeless romantic.
PS. I love the first book more because the heroine got annoying and toxic by the second one though she had some excuses for it. Felt bed for Angie (the hero's ex) because Reese often disses her in her monologue even though she's a really good person who just loved the wrong guy; they don't deserve her heart tbh.
“Are you going to kiss me?” “I’m thinking about it.” “A-are you m-mine?” “You know the answer to that.” “I’m trying so hard to not fall in love with you.” “I know.”
I'm so confizzled. I don't even know what book to leave this review on.
In short, I enjoyed the storyline and the characters. 1. Are the characters perfect? No. 2. Were some parts a little icky? Yes. 3. Was it more enjoyable to read AND understand with MMCs POV sprinkled in there? Absofuckinglutely. 4. Is there a HEA? Yes, sir. 5. Was it stressful getting there? Without a doubt.
FYI, this is not a book about a fisherman.
-------------
Don't waste your time or do on my nonsense below. It's the hot mess express and more about me and my mental state during this book. You might giggle, maybe. You can't get your time back if you read my Muckery 😘.
My emotional rollercoaster:
Three books for a two book series? Is it normal for authors to combine two books into one book and add in the MMCs POV but not add it into the two separate books? ANDDD not put the MMC POV in order but in the back of the book? I bet that was confusing!
Book titles to clear up (my) confusion - The Naked Fisherman - Book one of the duet, no MMC POV The Lost Fisherman - Book two of duet, no MMC POV The Fisherman Series : Special Edition - Book one and two combined with MMC POV at the end of both book sections.
I have more questions than answers (about myself): 1. Is it worth it to continue? Possibly 2. Will I contine? Yes 3. Am I going to continue to be confused? Most likely 4. Am I smart enough to untangle this catastrophe? (We haven't even gotten to my opinions on the book) We'll see
I had to google when the brain is fully developed so that I choose an age gaps after the youngest has already reached that age range.
My opinions on the duet thus far:
Is the FMC naive, sheltered, conditioned into beliefs that aren't her own making? Yes, she is. She's 18 years old, had a sheltered life with her grandparents where she wasn't afforded the luxury of thinking for herself and out on her own (kind of) for the first time in her life with no direction. Are some of her beliefs skewered? Absolutely, however, I feel some forget (reviews I read) that the first book is in a span of weeks maybe a month or two and it's going to take time for her to reconcile that her thought process may not be accurate and will take time for her to change her opinion. It doesn't happen overnight.
Is the MMC aloof, cruel, dishonest, genuine? Yes and no. It's hard to gage him without his POV. We are getting what the FMC is experiencing from him. I have a hard time believing his feelings for the FMC. A part of me feels like he does love her but, another part of me feels like he's just playing a game with her. (This is why I gravitate to dual POV books. [I have trust issues])
FYI, I haven't finished the second book (3rd book?) or the MMC POV yet. I'm just getting my thoughts out as I'm going because I tend to have a squirrel living in my brain just eating away all my brain cells. Ugh.
Are you wondering how I make it through life day in and day out? Samesies! I think my husband is keeping me alive.
Okay, so book one (but in book 3 [The Fisherman Series]) I finished MMCS POV. Definitely gave insight into his feelings. They start off typical. Man wants a play thing, rile her up and make her a bit messy and bounce (this is short-lived). He starts developing feelings for her that turns into love. However, he will not be the reason she doesn't experience life and wants her to find her purpose. Timing just wasn't right for them.
Book two, the MMC ends up with amnesia and doesn't remember the FMC or his fiance. FMC let's him fall in love with her naturally without obscuring his memory while the fiance trys to tell him about their past and how they were in love, Yada Yada. This is only more confusing for him. There's a little plot twist regarding the MMC and his fiance, HEA, the end.
It's all subjective, really.

Enquanto o Fisher perdido é O cara. Ele sim merece a Reese.
