This is the fifth book in The MacAllen Boys Series and is a great addition to the series. The two authors have done a wonderful job with this book. It's hard to put down once you begin reading. The characters are great and the story line has twists to keep you guessing. You met some of the MacAllen brothers in the other books but this is their sister Brenne's story. Forever she's had a crush on her brother's friend Alex who's off limits. Things heat up when an eccentric billionaire moves to town and takes an instant liking to Brenne. Talk about an emotional roller coaster with no shortage of angst that will keep your head spinning. No shortage of drama or twists that will keep you page turning. A little jealousy goes a long way. Well written with strong, likable characters and an entertaining story line. I read an arc via the authors and voluntarily chose to review it.

Great addition to the series! The authors bring strong characters in Alex and Brenne and weave an entertaining story filled with tons of drama and a sizzling hot chemistry,a secreet romance and a lot of jealousy. It's well written ,moves fluidly with their perfectly painted scenes and is a fantastic read.

Another entertaining story. This one is about Brenne and Alex. Brenne is the only sister in the MacAllen family. Alex is the town veterinarian and Brenne’ s brother’s BFF. There are a few twists and turns. Some angst that got my heart hurting but a great story. I would say it’s my fav so far in the series.

This was a good read. Brenne and Alex have had a thing but he breaks it off. This causes some drama between them. Especially when they start working together. Luckily in the end they come to their senses and they get their happy ending.

great read
I am a huge Ali Parker fan, one click buy kind of fan. So when this book came out I knew I needed it.easy to connect to the character and the events. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

They were scared that GI a company was going to buy up everything and change their little town. Alex was Jamesons’s her brothers best friend. They grew up running the fields and working to animals side by side. But when the sparks fly, both Alex and Brenne can’t stop them. They try to sneak around, but that didn’t work out too well when deeper feelings take root. But Brenne befriends a new guy in town named Galvin only to discover he owns GI. Now the green monster shows up and both Alex and Brenne have problems hiding the monster. But will true love win?

Oh, those MacAllen boys! Brenne loves her family, but having seven interfering brothers can be really annoying. Brenne has had a crush on the town's veteranian since she was a teenager. She finally convinced him to have a secret affair with her. Secret because Alex is Jameson's best friend and they are sure her brothers would object. Alex feels the best plan of action is to break it off with Brenne, thereby breaking her heart. Secrets rarely stay secrets for long however! Then Gavin Jefferies, billionaire CEO of Instant Gratification, enters the picture. He is quite a character and is drawn to the MacAllen family, and Brenne in particular. Great believable characters in a sweet romance with some hot sex. Love this series and want more!

Jessica Mills wrangled the wildcat in Tequila Trails, the latest book in her MacAllen Boys romance series. I truly hope that Gavin gets a story somewhere down the line hopefully with his very own cowgirl in another town.

Fantastic read
Book 5 is the story about the only daughter in the macallen family. Brenna is a force to be recomed with both strong and stubborn but loyal to her family. Alex is the local vet and her brother Jameson's best friend she has had the biggest crush on him but he cannot see her without feeling guilty so when he tells her he cannot see her anymore things go from bad to worse. Alex cannot believe how many times he has put his foot in it will the pair overcome the obstacles in the path to happiness or has Alex really lost the only woman he truly loves

I want Gavin
Hmmmm not sure about Alex. Not my favorite character and definitely not a book boyfriend. I know this is bad but I really wished Brenne would have fallen for Gavin. I did like this read, I just didn't like how Alex made Brenne feel. Yeah they ended up together once he got his head out of where the sun don't shine. But my heart melted at the gift Gavin gave Brenne for a wedding gift and what he did secretly for the town. Oh yeah and the total twist was the Preacher and Antique lady getting married. To fun

I can’t imagine being the lone female with brothers and trying to find love! Close family and tight small town community. I love this family! Another must read in MacAllen series by Ali Parker and Jessica Mills.

This was my first book by Jessica Mills. But I’ve read a few by Ali Parker. It was a good read. I loved Alex and Brenne’s story. It was a heart warming story.

Oh my goodness!! I just loved Alex and Brenne story!! They were so funny and him being her brother best friend made it even better!! They had such a connection but he tried to fight it so hard!! I could say so much more but I don’t want to give anything away!! I would recommend this book to everyone!! It was wonderful!!

“Tequila Trails” is the 5th book in ’The MacAllen Brothers’, an entertaining series by authors Jessica Mills and Ali Parker. In this case, however, the series name is a little misleading. This story features Brenne, the only one of the eight MacAllen siblings who isn’t a brother at all.
Brenne is known by everyone as a tomboy and a ‘wild child’, but the love and lust she’s long carried for Alex is as girly as pink ribbons and rainbow glitter. After crushing on him since she was just a child, her adult dreams come true when he agrees to a “friends with benefits” arrangement with her. Alex always considered his best friend’s little sister as his own little sister … until suddenly, she wasn’t. Alex is known by everyone as a good guy, a good friend, and a good veterinarian. When he’s around Brenne though, his thoughts and feelings are definitely of the bad boy variety. I don’t want to ruin the plot for you, so I’m trying not to say too much about specifics that would give too much away. It’s difficult to show that kind of restraint, because the story is a good one. It covers a lot of ground and does it with an excellent combination of exuberance and sadness, plus steamy scenes and lighthearted ones.
I thought “Tequila Trails” was extremely on-point in how it captured the array of complicated emotions that the main characters and key secondary characters were feeling. Each of them had different things to process. I do have to say that the scenes when Brenne’s brothers find out about the relationship between their younger sister and Alex – well, talk about intense! The authors did a great job dealing with it all without making it unnecessarily complicated or ruining the pace of the story. The epilogue provided a great conclusion to this part of the story of Brenne and Alex. I’m glad there are still MacAllen family members, whose stories are still to come.

Tequila trails is the 5th book in the MacAllen Boys series - a series that just keeps getting better and better . This time we get Brenne and Alex’s story . I’m not sure I even have the right words to express how much I just truly loved this book . Best friends brother and best friends sister are two of my very favorite tropes , and this one just grabbed onto me so tightly and sucked me right in . Brenne has been in love with Alex for as long as she can remember, but being his best friends little sister has always meant she was off limits . What will happen when and if they give In to their feelings . Will they have a chance at a happy ending together. I am a person who tends to read a lot of dark romances so Tequila Trails was such a wonderful change of pace - a story that has all the feels , that literally put a smile on my face from start to finish. The off the charts chemistry/ the push and pull , the angsty and steamy moments , as well as characters that you will just completely fall in love with are only a few reasons why this is a must read . I simply adored every single moment of this phenomenal story

Oh my gosh! We’ve seen the forevers for several of the MacAllen brothers, and this time it’s the MacAllen sister who’s up to bat. Brenne has loved Alex for as long as she’s known him, however, as his best friend’s little sister she’s been firmly in the “off limits” category. Not only is she the one woman Alex shouldn’t touch, she’s too wild, too free, too impulsive, too… everything he thinks he shouldn’t want. When the green-eyed monster comes to town and shows these two what they’re missing, will they be able to open their hearts and come together or is it just an opportunity to make a bigger mess out of their relationship? Brenne and Alex left me as dizzy as if I’d just gotten off a merry-go-round. Their push-me/pull-you dynamic is filled with all kinds of sparks and chemistry but be prepared for the angst. I love the MacAllen family and the way they pull together no matter what’s happening. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them next.

Two strong personalities that just can’t break down and say I love you. Brenne has been in love with Alex, her brother Jamison’s best friend, since she was about 12 years old. The only problem, he is 10 years older than her. With seven brothers to make sure no one takes advantage of her, Brenne and Alex sneak around for about a year and then Alex says it’s over, breaking her heart. Brenne is like a wild stallion and doesn’t show her broken heart to anyone. It’s on again off again, fighting and making up, both afraid of what her brothers would say and what they would do to Alex when they found out. It takes a stranger coming to town to bring up the green eyed monster to make Alex realize she is the one. It’s a long time coming but when he finally opens his heart to her and she opens her heart to him, they realize it has all been worth it and they will spend their lives together. What an awesome book. I love all these MacAllen siblings and the trials they go through to find the spouse of their dreams. Great, great book.

Bittersweet with more strife than I anticipated. It is a trainwreck watching Alex’s jealousy and floundering but, the ending is heartwarming.
A surprise invitation to eat with the MacAllen’s leads to the eccentric billionaire owner of Instant Gratifications, Gavin Jeffries becoming a regular visitor to the ranch, ramps up the MacAllen family’s fear of county change, and provides the waffling veterinarian Alex Parsons with competition for the horse-loving Brenne MacAllen’s affections.
Multiple love triangles, the expanding supportive MacAllen family and a couple of twists make this an interesting read.

I am voluntarily leaving this review. I loved this book! I wish it was in first person POV so I could connect better with the characters, but it was still a great book regardless and it was well written.
Alex is the town vet and best friend to Brenne’s oldest brother Jameson. They both have had a crush on each other for years but always hid it. I loved their chemistry when they were around each other. I loved how Alex finally admitted his feelings and quit fighting them. Brenne and Alex were forbidden by default. Alex is Jameson’s best friend and Brenne’s oldest brother. While Brenne is the youngest of the MacAllen siblings she’s far from the quietest. Her feisty spirit and no nonsense attitude turns Alex into a mess. When her brothers talk Alex into letting her work with him at his veterinarian clinic to avoid handsy clients at the bar Alex and Brenne have to decide if their love affair is just infatuation or love. Will a snaky outsider ruin it all or will Alex finally face the firing squad that is the MacAllen boys and reveal his love for their baby sister. This book was phenomenal. The MacAllen bunch feel like an extension of your family and you can’t help but want to dive in. An absolute must read.

Plenty of drama and jealousy on both sides but could they ever get a hea when her brothers are against them being together.
I loved reading this book and it has a brilliant ending.

I’ve enjoyed this series and this installment did not disappoint… things are heating up in Whiskey River. Alex and Brenne have some serious chemistry so what’s the problem? She’s his best friend’s little sister and he’s convinced himself she’s wrong for him. Add G-Man to the mix and things get really crazy. Definitely felt bad for Brenne at times between her overbearing brothers and Alex’s hot and cold behavior and sometimes cruel words. Kindness and honesty win out in the end. Wonder which McCallen brother will get his chance at HEA next?

If you love the Brother's best friend trope this book is right up your alley! I love the characters, Brenne and Alex are perfect for each other. They are hot for one another one minute and then so cold towards each other the next! There is so much between them, they push each other away even when they can't stand to be away from one another!!! I loved this book and I'm not giving any spoilers so if you want to know all the juicy details you're gonna have to read the book!!!! I would highly recommend it to other readers!!!!

This is Brenne & Alex’s story. Brenne is a spitfire with lots of over protective brothers. Alex is a veterinarian and the best friend of one of her brothers. They have been friends with benefits for a time until Alex decides he is betraying his best friend and breaks her heart. When G-Man or Gavin comes to town he is very interested in Brenne and Alex can’t stand it. This story is very well written, full of angst and lots of steam. This is 5 stars.
