What an ending!!! I really really REALLY enjoyed this series!! Que and Rae went through some things! Had they not had that solid foundation all those years I don’t think they would have survived. One things for sure and two things for certain, they loved each other DOWN!!
I had a feeling that what happened with Keisha was going to happen then when it did I forgot so it caught me off guard 😩😩!! Keshia deserved way worse than what happened with her. She stirred shît for 2 books! I wanted low and slow with her aśs! Nadia got EXACTLY what she deserved! That was one of the highlights of the book but she was a cold bîtch and in another lifetime or story for that matter I’d even admire her….. but not in this one! I’m glad Tab redeemed herself! She only did what she thought was right at the time and had no problem admitting she was wrong and proving how remorseful she was!
Poor Ant, he couldn’t get himself together and I hate that for him. Life dealt him a bad hand from childhood on up and no matter how much he wanted to win it wasn’t happening! Please give my guy a redemption story Charity! 🙏🏽😩🙏🏽! If this series is not on your TBR please add it today!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars would recommend!
Ms. Author you did Ant dirty smh. Tab, Nadia , and Keisha all disgust me. The way things were going at the end I thought Que and Rae would never get their HEA. I wonder how Ant is processing the betrayal.
This was truly a amazing experience reading this story. There was really some counterfeiting going here and much more. This is must read so you experience what I did. To the author Charity Shane thank for sharing your amazing talent and giving the reader an amazing experience with Counterfeit 2.
Charity!!!! I can’t believe how amazing this book was! I almost felt like I watched an amazing movie! The details of how jealousy, pain and emotion can really motivate people.
I like how you really showed the good in every character!!
The way Que loved Rae was real he was with Keisha because Rae left him in the friend zone. Was really sad about her friend she didn’t deserve to be caught up in Ant bs.
Ma'am, you did the damn thang! You hear me? Whew Lawd! Where do I begin? Nothing could have prepared me for all the ish that went down! Everyone is understandably devastated, and I'm still in shock! Poor Ant! He will never be the same! 💔 Amir and his connections, are next level! The way he planned, put a team together and swiftly took care of business to assist Que and Ant, was some boss ish! All is well, until it isn't. Here comes this heifer Nadia trying to tear the team apart, on some revenge ish! Ant in his grief, unknowingly brings a snake into their midst! She is relentless in her pursuit, to avenge the deaths of her family, and is almost successful. Thank God for Femi, cause she helped shut it down! That damn Keisha man! 😤😡. I wanted to beat her delusional ass myself! I knew she would pop back on the scene causing trouble, but damn! I was not expecting that revelation! 👀. Tab, Tab, Tab! I knew Keisha was going to blow up your spot girl! Then she turned her crazy meter way past ten! I mean damn! How many ways does a man need to say, and show you he doesn't want you, before it gets through? Ughhhh.... You scared me for a minute there, as I thought Keisha got the upper hand on Rae! That ending was perfect! Que and Rae have gone to hell and back a few times, and deserved this! 💖. I'm so concerned for Ant! Would love a follow-up on him sometime. Loved this series! 👍👍👍
The Counterfeit series took me down the valley and back again. I love Que and Rae. Their bond is so pure and genuine. I hated to see all that Rae had to endure but I loved how she and her man overcame each obstacle.
A good ending of a well written story. The characters are all going through things and the drama is at an all time high. The storyline is very interesting and full of twist and turns. I loved reading this book.
Psycho dramas on steroids‼️😮💨 My nerves 😬 & anxiety during this series 🤷🏾♀️🤭‼️Meanwhile, ”Counterfeit 2” was a fantastic read series. However, I was disappointed with the character “Ant”. I expected him to become more mature, less entitled and a greater father parent & person than his personal experiences. Nonetheless, I’m satisfied Rae & Que endured their many obstacles together for a HEA free & clear from the psycho winch Keisha🤬‼️
Overall I enjoyed all of the closure, everyone got what they deserved.
Taking into account, this is the author’s earlier work, but this series needed a trigger warning. I didn’t catch it after reading book 1. Probably because of how good it felt to read something I was enjoying, after being in a reading slump. But there were some pretty graphic things happening. The description and devastation of Aisha’s death. It begins with Rae staring at the body. The writing was so good I felt like I was in the room. Plus there were other sensitive subjects being addressed.
Which brings me to my biggest gripe. I was disappointed with the handling of what occurred to Que. Not one time was this addressed as a crime. He was sexually assaulted and if the gender was reversed, I believe the story would’ve been told differently. And to have the result of that crime produce children. Yikes!
I felt so badly for Ant, I wished we would’ve saw him get some real help. Again overall I enjoyed this a lot. And definitely would’ve rated higher but the lack of trigger warning and the handling of the sexual assault disappointed me.

Ms. Shane, you really did your big one with this, I don't even know where to start. Que and Rae are complete perfection and continuously proved that they could overcome anything and they are the true definition of a team. They support each other through everything and it's just amazing. Now let's discuss the crazy. Nadia and Keisha were pure crazy, I mean100%! Then when they get together it only elevates the crazy. Yo, the both got what they deserved, but Ant...poor baby. I need to see him win so bad. I need him in Mirakle's life for real because he never experienced a family. That ending really had me in my feelings. Mirakle's little announcement made my heart flutter. I really just want to see them in the future because they were so special. Such an amazing 2 books, I devoured them. Happy Reading Y'all!💋
This one is hard to review without giving spoilers so we’re gonna review how I feel..
Ugh my heart! I started the Counterfeit duet yesterday - getting my nails done, let me have Alexa read it to me for a little bit.. I had no clue what I was in for. I loooooved this story so much. There was so much going on - the betrayal, the scheming, the friendships, the family. I wa son the edge of my seat, nerves shot to hell, but it was so worth it. I love Que and Rae! They deserved the hell out of everything good that came their way. My boy Ant breaks my heart but he got the ending he needed.. at least temporarily.
No spoilers you just have to read it for yourself but it’s definitely a must read. Charity Shané in her urban, messy bag is top tier!
You did that with this series love it was fire all the way through. I was so hurt that my girl had to be the one to find her best friend like that omg. Rae went through a lot omg she did and I loved the fact that she stepped up and took care not only her best friend daughter but Que kids as well and I loved that about her and I was happy that her and Tab made up though. I can’t wait to see what you have coming next.
Now why you had to end it like that! OMG 😭 I thought it was super sweet how they had her planning her own wedding, but that ending almost took your girl out. The whole storyline is so full or plot twist and that dang Keisha had me ready to fight, delusional hefa 🙄. I wouldn’t mind reading a spin off about Ant, he deserves some happiness too.
This One Right Here Took The Cake For Me !!!!! Another Great Book Under Belt Sis❣ Congratulations, And I Can't Wait For Another Ride With You.......BLESSINGS LUV🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Come onnnnn in the room Charity! This finale was so good. I'm still mad about Aisha though. Poor Ant. I would like a story on him. My couple got their happy.
This is 🔥 🔥, hopefully Ant gets himself together. Rea is my favorite character, she wants to see everyone happy and winning. I like the love that Que has for Rea, great book.
I'm happy for the ending and everything that happened leading up to the end. I'm glad that crazy girl got she deserved and I'm happy Ant was able to defend himself before it was to late.
Que and Rae are back. This book picks up right where book 1 ends and the drama is still happening. My girl Rae just couldn’t catch a break. My heart broke for her so many times. One thing that was consistent throughout the series, is the love Que and Rae had for each other.
So many things happened in this book, I don’t even know where to begin. Keisha…baby got everything she deserved. She was delusional for years, going from one extreme to the next. Tab grew on me, and I was happy to see her and Rae’s friendship mend. I thought there was going to be something with Rosaria, but I was glad there wasn’t. Nadia got exactly what she deserved. Femi was a real one and I would love to read more about her. Just like in the first book, I wasn’t the biggest fan of Ant, but I did feel bad for him. From childhood, life just wasn’t kind to him. I wished he couldn’t have found happiness.
This story had it all, death, grief, jealousy, and revenge. Everything that could have broken Que and Rae was thrown their way, but they held onto love. The love and support they had for each other was beautiful. The ending scene was so beautiful and perfect. This is definitely a series I would recommend..
This series focused on a young couple who came together when both were at their lowest. They both experienced trauma in one form or another whether physically or mentally or emotionally. I think the story moved really well. I liked the backstory on the characters. They also did a good job with providing relevant content for the plot and characters.
For me, there was an emotional disconnect. I struggled to connect with the characters and their experiences whether it be a sexual scene, a death an argument, the 3rd party pov (omniscient) style takes a lot of the emotion out of it for me. For example, the death of one of the pivotal supporting characters was simply a footnote for me. I would’ve loved to experience the devastation with the characters instead of being told about it.
All that being said, this one critique doesn’t take away from the author’s skill which is the reason for the rating.

Hated the way this book handled male rpe. It is not okay 👌🏾 at all. The rpist was in his house with children produced from the rpe. Why would he try to coparent with his rpist, and the way Que went to back for Rae when she was being abused but sat their quietly while the rpist gloated over having his kids. If this was a dark romance then yes….but this not and did not fit the first book at all.
The way these people were into illegal things but didn’t run background checks on new people was odd.
Although Rae and Que never seemed to use protection, and discussed having children, Rae never ended up pregnant.
They were together and soulmates but he wanted over 10 years to marry her.

Que was definitely going to get these hands if he hadn't told her the truth. That damn Keisha was just as insane as they come. Them doctors at that facility aint shit. She just read them the same verbiage they read her and poof she out. I'm almost disappointed in Rae for not having Rosie on her. She should never leave home without her b!tch. Bad sh!t been happening to her left and right. Rosie should have been as close as her and Aisha. Forget Nadina she needed to be handled by the hands she hurt the most. He should still be choking that hoe. Dragging her by her neck like a rag doll.
