AHHHH!! What did I just read?! Willow Winters can seriously deliver an adrenaline pumping story where all I need are more of her words and the next book. This story was sexy and provocative and another action packed powerhouse that left me wanting more.
Desperate to Touch was an OUTSTANDING follow up to Hard to Love as we see what happens when Seth and Laura reconnect in the present. I loveeeed their chemistry and the fire between them and loved the progression of their story, the deepening emotional depth of their love while new and torrid secrets from the past and present unraveled around them. Winters did a fantastic job with Laura's character progression as I felt she had more courage and more of a backbone when dealing with Seth. Seth likewise showed more emotion than he did in the first book and it was amazing to see him hurting and how he was ultimately affected by Laura's leaving. In addition, I thought it was phenomenal that the author provided more emotional dialogue and less fade to black sexy scenes than her previously few stories as seeing them connect on both a physical and emotional level made the story come alive.
While I loved the story, I would be remiss if I did not add that once again Marcus is the mysterious elephant in the room we are no closer to learning about. He is the faceless enemy everyone and their mother is hunting and it is oftentimes frustrating and disheartening that this is the tenth novel (at least I think) in the Cross Brothers saga that has gone by but we really don't know anything substantial about the elusive mindgame master, his need to outwit the Cross brothers and their entire faction and the reasons why he does what he does.
All in all, this was another great addition to the Cross Brothers saga and I'm hoping we receive more answers in Tempted To Kiss. 5 stars! ~Ratula

Willow Winters brings her A game with this series. Seth and Laura are my new favorite couple! Their chemistry jumps off the page. I’m in so much love with these characters!
What you need to know:
This is a spinoff of the Cross Brothers series and while I recommend that series (CARTER IS BAE) you can totally jump in here and totally fall in love.
These characters have a fantastic back story. It’s a second chance romance that will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for more. I loved seeing their history and now where they’re headed.
What I loved: Laura is such an interesting character. She’s strong willed, opinionated, and self assured. Seth is the same. The are both very strong characters who are fierce protectors. I think that’s what called to most. They’re very much alike in that way.
The tension and angst are very well done. The storyline and plot are fantastic. The author does a great job setting up the overall story ARC, while continuing to focus on the immediate action of this story. I was quite impressed.
Their chemistry and the steam level is off the charts. Willow takes you there! And I was here for every single minute of it.

I have been sitting here for DAYS, not a day... DAYS... after finishing this book and trying to put into words, without spoilers just how phenomenal this book was and how much I loved it. I don't think any word/s can give this book justice... NO WORDS.
Willow was in her element when it came to Seth and Laura. Seth King? Oh man... I don't even know where to begin with him. As always Willow writes a complex, compelling and hot as hell alpha male. Seth is EVERYTHING. His whole personality is perfect, in every sense of the word... But we see more of him in this book. We see different sides to this man. I mean he was everything and more in Hard To Love, and Desperate to Touch? The author takes him to a whole new level. This book picks up where book 1 left off... Seth is working with the Cross brothers, and he knows Laura is in town, he wants nothing more than to bring her back to him and keep her all for himself. He has issues to work through and has to find forgiveness after what Laura has done, but even without it, he can't live without her and once she is in his grasp once more, his possessive self isn't about to risk losing her again. No fucking way.
Laura is strong, confident and isn't afraid to speak up for herself when need be... and I love that about her... but at times I think it does not work in her favor, and there were times were I just wanted to reach in and slap her and show her what was right in front of her... The fact that they are literally the same person, only opposite genders? That made things even more interesting.
And fuck me, if you thought book one knocked you on your ass, well be aware that book two is about to throw you through the wringer... So much more was happening, questions were being answered, yet, even more, secrets were coming in to play, the more answers I got the more I needed answering.. The sexual chemistry between them only heightens in this... The tension, the push and pull, the game of chase between the two of them just intensifies multiple times over. I swear I was about to snap my kindle in two, while it melted into my hands. SO HOT! But there was so much more,... More secrets, more betray, more hurt and pain, more angst,... JUST MORE. SO MUCH MORE. I was an addict to this book. It was as though as soon as I got my fix, I needed more... And I NEED MORE NOW!
This was captivating, all-consuming, insanely hot, addictive and unpredictable and left me cursing out the author... Oh, I wanted to say a few things to her... But I know whatever she has up her sleeve next will be worth the wait. Ms. Winters went above and beyond with this... I can feel her passion for this book with each word I read. She never disappoints and she didn't disappoint with this bad boy.
BUT I NEED MORE... NOW!

What a freaking fantastic book! It was captivating & amazing. The characters are all so well-written & relatable...its gripping, thrilling, suspenseful, & of course steamy! Willow delivers another must read addition to the Cross Brothers world with this second installment of Seth & Laura's story & is not the end. I stay up late last night reading it, I couldn’t stop until the end .. but of course, Willow left me seriously hungry for more! Willow winters is very mean women for leaving us like that cliffhanger!!!!!! I never truly thought something so small as the sound of “click “ would leave me want more!
When all is said & done .. as I take deep breath & calm myself, I can truly say without doubt This book is currently my favorite book by Willow Winters! But don’t say anything when I repeat that statement on her next book!

OMFG!!! This book is everything. Seth and Laura are just explosive as in Hard To Love, , if not more. Once started, you will not want to put it down. Make sure you have quiet, uninterrupted time. This book will pull at your heart and leave you in a puddle. When Laura left, it broke Seth’s heart, and now that he has her in his grasp, he is never letting go. There is action, suspense, drama, feels, heartache, steamy chemistry and twists and turns. You will be on the edge of your seat, waiting to find out what will happen next. The twists will just make you gasp and wonder wth!? 😮 I was completely shocked and have such a book hangover. 🤯In true Willow fashion, she pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I want more Seth and Laura. This is another do not miss book. When I was done, I didn’t know which way was up.

What a FANTASTIC book. This is the continuation of Seth's and Laura's story from Hard To Love.
Willow knows how to grab a reader, and I'm totally hooked on this story.
This book starts as a slow burn as we reconnect with the characters, but suddenly the intrigue and mysteries from the first book start to take over, and the lives of Seth and Laura begin to unravel. An explosive confession is made, and dark forces are everywhere. The ending will just tip you over the emotional edge. Be prepared for this ride. I just wasn't expecting this story to go this way.
I absolutely loved this book. It's an amazing mafia-suspense love story.

Speechless! A must read!
Its this mixture between unrequited yet requited love that just tears you up and heals your hurt all at the same time. It has just about as much romantic suspense that my palpitating heart could handle. Seth and Laura are undeniably meant for each other and to be together. The chemistry is off the charts! And not just when things get steamy but when they fight and even in the smallest of interactions between them. Seth gets to me in a different way than other heroes in the Merciless world because my heart really breaks for him and I love him so so much. Laura…just…I owe her an apology for my original assessment of her character because I am falling in love with her too. And in true Willow Winters fashion the world building means that I am also falling in love with friendships and other characters along the way.
I am left speechless in so many ways but the best way I can think to convey it is to say I have all these conflicting feelings, but I am not confused at all as to why or how I am feeling them. How that happens only speaks to how well this book is written and its ability to pull genuine feelings from me that mimic real life in the best way. Rarely are the things we feel easily explained especially when we feel them so strongly and they are pulling us in all different directions. I love finishing a book and feeling like I got it, or it got me in a true, honest, and inexplicable way. Add the whole Mafia/ Cross Brothers/ Romance to it all and I can’t even - it is that good.

5 FLAMING STARS
DESPERATE TO TOUCH by W.Winters has left me with no words... okay I’ve had lots of words, just not words I put in here... so I’ve sat on it pondering words and life and now I must express some of what I feel.
I’m obsessed with this book world to no end, these characters are full of life and the passion and emotion between them can set you on fire. Seth and Laura’s second chance story continues from HARD TO LOVE, it’s set in the present and the passion and lust filled danger and suspense writing that Willow Winters has mastered will leave you intoxicated and addicted- from the start to the end I want more, more and more! This is the theme of my life in this book world. More is never enough!!
Alas, I was hoping for a conclusion to their story but was rewarded (apparently I enjoy self torture) with the promise of more to come (yassss!!)... getting glimpses of the Cross brothers and the questionable Marcus and Officer Walsh leaves me feeling like I’m trapped in a a great crime detective book- just with the bonus of all the steamy and incredibly sexy scenes. Again, the emotional content intensifies this as this book should come with a “HIGHLY COMBUSTIBLE” Warning. If you thought you were #slayedbyseth in Hard To Love, you are not prepared for Desperate To Touch. #ifelldownarabbitholeandcantfindmywayout #leavemeinmymercilessworld #whenidietakemetothecrossbrothers

I’m obsessed with this book world to no end, these characters are full of life and the passion and emotion between them can set you on fire. Seth and Laura’s second chance story continues from HARD TO LOVE, it’s set in the present and the passion and lust filled danger and suspense writing that Willow Winters has mastered will leave you intoxicated and addicted- from the start to the end I want more, more and more! This is the theme of my life in this book world. More is never enough!!
Alas, I was hoping for a conclusion to their story but was rewarded (apparently I enjoy self torture) with the promise of more to come (yassss!!)... getting glimpses of the Cross brothers and the questionable Marcus and Officer Walsh leaves me feeling like I’m trapped in a a great crime detective book- just with the bonus of all the steamy and incredibly sexy scenes. Again, the emotional content intensifies this as this book should come with a “HIGHLY COMBUSTIBLE” Warning. Willow Winters does it again. She never fails to deliver such PERFECTION! Desperate To Touch left me speechless and in utter shock. I have a hard time finding the right words to describe how incredible this book is as there simply isn’t one word that could do it justice. I am in awe and adore what Willow can do. She takes her thoughts and delivers us such amazing, fantastic, and memorable stories and characters that completely captivate you. Seth and Laura’s story is such an intense read and had me on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE time. More than once I found myself saying what the fudge or holy shiitake mushrooms. Haha. That right there is pg-13 for amazons sake. In all seriousness though, this is a must read. I highly recommend it to all. WWinters brought us the Cross Brothers and had me Consumed by Carter and Jase is well Jase...so much love for him but there is something special about Seth. He isn’t technically a Cross Brother but he is part of their inner circle which makes him family. He totally slays me!

The Queen of bad boy books keeps us on the edge of our seats with the continuation of Seth and Laura’s story. This complexity of this couple is amazing, and as always, information is revealed that makes you want to toss your kindle because: dayum. No one writes a great kindle tosser like W. Winters! 😂 I highly recommend this book and series, but save up your pennies as your kindle may not survive.

Laura is struggling with her feelings of inadequacy and her doubts about what Seth really feels for her. She is being dragged back into Seth's world and I don't think she knows the depths of what it quite is yet.
Oh Seth, he too is struggling with his feelings for Laura. Is it rage and anger? Or is he too feeling a bit vulnerable? With his tough exterior and the way he treats Laura, it's like a rollercoaster.
Secrets are going to be revealed. Big secrets, and yet there is a mysteries galore! Who is the new resident at the Rockford Center? What is going on with Melody? You think you’re following along good enough to have pieced together the possible outcomes only to get slapped in the face with a big fat 𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐄, while Willow kicks back and relishes in performing the work of the devil with her talent of weaving her stories so well and wrapping you up so tightly in their drama and hedonism.
If you believed book one was loaded with sexual chemistry and tension, 𝘣𝘢𝘢𝘢𝘢𝘣𝘺 you haven’t seen anything yet. Seth and Laura burn up the pages with their cat and mouse attraction. Pretty sure there’s some melted pieces inside my phone from how reckless and steamy these two get. The man makes you want a Seth of your own for the danger and destruction, passion and lust.
This book is so much more than expected and as with each book Willow puts out, the storylines and characters just keep getting better. By far the best book she’s put out to date and there have been some amazing stories leading up to this point. You definitely want to take a ride with Seth and Laura!

I literally could not put it down, and the resulting book hangover has me begging for more words! This book is so much more than just another second chance dark romance. It's so intricately woven and complexly written with deep emotion and soul.

I honestly don’t even know where to begin. I just finished this book and I’m left with WTF just happened. Wow, so much angst, passion, and lust, Seth’s world revolves around Laura and he is selfish enough to want her back with him always. Laura struggles with her truths, she loves him, she hates him, she yearns for him, but she left him high and dry, betrayed him and why would he want her back? Love is love, right? Or maybe it’s more than that with these two. Laura is uncovering information that could put her in danger and now Seth worries that something bad is going to happen to her or both of them if he can’t keep her close. Laura is independent, strong, except when she’s close to Seth, his pull is electric and she bows to his every whim. Laura can’t help wondering where all this passion and lust will lead them, can they really start over? Seth chooses to share a secret with Laura that puts her mind in a tailspin and running. He can’t lose her again, they are just working their way back to each other, but his choices have now put them both in harm's way more than he realizes. Seth and Laura’s story is complex, complicated and full of hurt, betrayal, devotion and love that they can’t quite get a grip on yet, but I’m hoping they get the chance.

OH MY GOD!!!! Mt heart is completely in my throat! I apologize right now, in case I don't make sense in this review, because my mind is still reeling!! Willow Winters has just completely blown my mind with this book. I was on the edge of my seat through the whole dang thing! I Need More!!!! Seth King is all grown up and back! Part two of Seth and Laura Roth’s story is here and continues right where Hard to Love left off. Seth is working with the Cross brothers. He knows Laura is in town and he wants her back no matter what. Will Seth be able to forgive Laura for what she did and get the answers he needs? Will they finally catch Marcus and put an end to his evil? So much Deception, Action & Intense moments you won’t be able to put this one down! Seth King is so yummy and can Alpha me any day. Oh and be prepared to throw your book since this ends in a major cliffhanger!!! Maybe have a cold drink to because ;) Told in dual POV

Desperate to Touch the second book of Seth and Laura story has me speechless in a good way. W Winters never stops amazing me with her captivating writing. You fall more in love with Seth in this book. Laura character is captivating and complex and strong a great female character. I started reading and was captivating by the story and couldn’t wait to see what was going to develop next. This story definitely has the awe and WTF aspect and a must read by all.

I can't help but admire Seth and love his character, his dedication, and his loyalty. Although Seth is not related to the Cross brothers, he is important and is an integral part of their inner circle and family. With that in mind, his and Laura's story intertwines with all the key players which makes this book so exciting, dangerous and full of suspense.

Ms. Winters weaves an emotionally charged, sexy, dark, goosebump-inducing story in such a way. It's easy to get caught up in all the corruption, emotional drainage, and banter of the dominant characters, and their compelling stories.
Hearts are open and on display ready for you to walk on the dark side with the Cross Brothers while they're still working on rogue cops, enemies, and lost loves.
I cannot get enough of these plots twisted, heart-squeezing, smexy stories! The next book 'Tempted To Kiss' cannot get here soon enough!

I loved this book and completely stayed on edge! Loved the chemistry between Seth and Laura. But what secret has he kept from her? There’s so much action and suspense that will keep you on edge. Loved not knowing what will happen. It will leave you wanting for more. I can’t wait for the next book. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this series. I think the next book will be the conclusion.

The first in the series, Hard to Love, was my very first Willow Winters book but that introduction to Seth and Laura quickly became my FAVORITE. I proceeded to devour as many Winters books as I could while I not-so-patiently awaited for this follow up. And wow... I am now more in love with these two than ever. They seriously KILL me with their chemistry, with their obvious adoration amidst their complicated dynamic. It's just too good.
This second book is everything. It takes STEAM to another level. Like 5 alarm HOT, no joke. It's intense and suspenseful, incredibly emotional, SUPERBLY WRITTEN, and the push and pull is euphoric. Desperate to Touch straddles the tenuous line between pleasure and pain, following the estranged couple as Laura's debt is paid with her body while a relentless war of emotions quietly plays out between the two who won't be upfront about what that want. It's brutal and sensual and DELICIOUSLY MADDENING.
But far more than just their love story plays out here. In true Winters fashion, Laura and Seth's tumultuous reunion takes place in a world of organized crime, unknown danger, and hidden threats at every turn. This is a suspenseful read peppered with romance and intoxicating lust but layered with an edge of mystery and fear that had me teetering right on the edge the whole way through.
