USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR Hope Ford brings you a steamy cowboy romance about a frumpy administrative assistant with a secret crush that discovers sometimes even playboy cowboys can change their ways.

Mia

I’ve always been the ugly duckling. I never expected my Prince Charming to be wearing Wranglers and dusty cowboy boots.

Crushing on one of my hot cowboy bosses isn’t smart. Especially the playboy, but try telling my heart that—it won’t listen. Not even overhearing him call me “frumpy” will discourage my affections. I mean, he’s not wrong. But then we dance, and the look in his eyes changes. Then a kiss, then a lot more, and I can’t help hoping he’s seeing me in a different light.

Ryan

I’ve always believed I’d never get tired of sowing my wild oats. I never expected quiet, unassuming Mia, our ranch office assistant, to be the one to change my mind.

My oldest brother forces me to attend the cattlemen's ball with her. I don’t like that other men are noticing her new hair and new clothes. I definitely don’t like it when she goes on dates with those men. But I’m the one she comes home to. It’s my ranch she lives on. One kiss turns into a heated night in my bed, and I know she has to be mine. Now I just have to convince her we belong together.

Redeemed Cowboy is the second book in the Whiskey Bryant Brothers series. If you love reading age gap, alpha cowboy, innocent plus-size woman, small town romances, then you’ll love Ryan and Mia’s story. Each book in the series is a standalone.

Sooo good.

Did I want to like this book because I had to buy it instead of getting it on KU? No. Did I end up loving it? Yes. Am I resentful about it? A little.

Hope Ford managed to make this one a home run. There was the perfect amount of conflict and time spent with the heroine kind of holding out. That can be really hard to do, especially with these short reads.

It’s just a plain great read and you should check it out.

I hated this novella.
THIS STORY IS NOT SAFE!
I asked the question if the hero had sex with other women after meeting the heroine. I should have asked if the hero was with other women in any way, (that includes, dates, kissing, etc....), He did all those things (kissed an OW a week before the story starts, so it is obvious he was fooling around with other women for the three years he has known Mia.
I was going to DNF it when Elliott caught the OW and the H kissing, but kept I reading (thinking maybe the author would make it a misdirect), but no, why do that when you can kill the romance between two character. This was a massive disappointment. If he was a manwhore, but was celibate after meeting the h, then yes! Men who fool around with other women after meeting the heroin, is NOT ROMANTIC!

STORY:
WHAT I LIKED:
I like Ryan and Mia as the playboy and the assistant who has been crushing on Ryan for years finally gets together. They were sweet and their romance was nice.

WHAT WAS SO SO:
I am always in love with this author’s books, but I find this one to be ok. I did not hate it and it wasn’t wow, but in ways still likable. I felt it was missing something. As much as I liked seeing Ryan and Mia come together, there was no excitement while reading their story either.

SEXUAL CHEMISTRY
Sex scene was sweet and nice.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
It was good seeing King and Nat again and the other brothers. I am looking forward to Griffin’s story.

OVERALL:
Was I entertained? Not fully. Did I like the story? Yes. Would I read the other book in the series? Yes

TRIGGERS:

****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.

Safety and Spoilers

I have to be honest and say this is one of my least favourite tropes. I read it because it is part of a series. I would probably have liked this book more if it would have been longer and things had more time to develop. I’m not a fan of a guy having feelings for a woman and then spends years sleeping with a lot of other women. Ryan tells Mia that he has always had feelings for her but didn’t want to settle down yet and that he was also warned to stay away from her. A real man who has strong feelings for a woman steps up and claims his woman no matter what the obstacles are, he doesn’t step back and sow his wild oats instead. I liked how Mia took charge of her feelings and decided to move on. I wish she had more time to really find herself without Ryan interfering. I wanted more time for the two of them to evolve and change. I would have liked to see Ryan grovel a little more for hurting Mia and show her he had really changed over a longer period of time.
Safe. H is a big playboy and h has been a witness to his actions for 3 years. He was caught kissing ow at end of last book and it was mentioned again in this one. Ow he was kissing tries to get his attention several times and the h is witness to it. h goes on a date with an enemy of the family who she is friends with. They decide they are just friends. She also has a date with the farm veterinarian but cancels before the date. No abuse.

You have got to warn a girl. I absolutely hate the manwhore and the virgin genre. Even worse is he’s in her face about it. He secretly loves her but doesn’t want to stop sleeping with OW. He only changes his mind after she gives up on him, gets a makeover and starts dating good men.

Oh how I love a feel good cowboy story! Mia is amazing but Ryan is your typical idiot manhore cowboy. Such a great story that moves fairly quickly but is actually 3 years in the making!

Love Wins

Another short but complete story about the Bryant brothers. Mia has always had a crush on Ryan, but he's a player and not interested in settling down. Until Mia seems moody with him, and another man seems interested in her.
Great characters, believable storyline and just enough heat.
Very enjoyable.

This book is part of the Whiskey Valley: Bryant Brothers and the main characters are Mia and Ryan Bryant. Ryan is the youngest of the four brothers, King, Chance, Griffin and Ryan, who all work on the Double B Ranch. Ryan is still enjoying sowing his wild oats and playing the field and is known as the playboy brother. His oldest brother has just married Natalie and brought her and her son Elijah to live on the ranch. Ryan certainly doesn’t think he will be following King’s example any time soon. Mia is the ranch’s office manager and she overheard Ryan calling her frumpy! She can’t help that she was raised by her dad for years and went with him from ranch to ranch, whenever his wanderlust struck. He home schooled her and she hasn’t exactly had much female company. When her dad came to work at the Bryant’s ranch, Mia turned eighteen and was offered the job in the office, even though she had no experience and three years later she does everything for them and is considered pretty much part of their family. Her dad moved on, but still keeps in touch by phone and she occasionally visits him. King asked her to accompany Ryan to the Cattlemen’s Ball, as he is taking his wife to visit family, and Chance is busy, whilst Griffin is a wounded soldier and doesn’t really speak to people, so wouldn’t be much use there.
Ryan tries to come into the office to ask her about the ball and if she needs a dress for it, which they will pay for, but she ignores him, She has had a crush on him since she arrived and seen how he treats dating and playing the field. Having heard him call her frumpy, she definitely isn’t looking to speak to him about something she has no choice about attending and with him to boot. She thinks her crush s a secret, but pretty much everyone on the ranch knows about it =, except Ryan. She goes to help the vet with a new stallion with a temper, confident in her abilities around horses, having been raised around them, But Ryan almost blows a fuse when he sees her in there and thinks she fell into the vet’s arms on purpose. He tells her they don’t pay her to flirt with others and certainly not to deal with dangerous horses, as another ranch hand had been injured by this horse. Ryan of course has blown matters up, out of all proportion and Mia rushes off back to the house, rather than back to work! She told him what she overheard and it is his brother Chance who he runs into, still all worked up, who has to point out that he owes her an apology and also that her might be a reason why he reacted so!
Mia ends up asking Natalie for some help with getting her hair fixed up and choosing some everyday clothes as well as a dress for the ball, as she has no clue about such matters. She looks completely different afterwards, wearing some of her new clothes and they bump into an old friend of hers, Brent McCoy, who asks her for dinner. Nat offers to have him over for dinner at the ranch house, but Mia quickly interrupts and agrees to be picked up instead, to go out somewhere. Nat doesn’t realise that the McCoy’s and Bryant’s have been in some sort of feud for over fifty years! Another point which drives Ryan to argue with her and try to tell her what she can and can’t do, since they employ her on the Bryant ranch. Not quite the best approach when talking to a young woman, especially one so vital to the organisation and running of the ranch, never mind one he obviously has feelings for and never realised until now. But will his head finally realise what his body and heart are trying to tell him?
He gets really worked up and is standing waiting when Brent drops her off and tries to tell her she can’t see him again and almost threatens her with losing her job if she doesn’t agree not to date him again. Thankfully he holds himself back from being totally unreasonable and kisses her instead! It is everything Mia has ever hoped for, but she knows his reputation and she doesn’t believe that kiss means much really. She has another date already arranged with someone else and Ryan is showing his jealousy now, telling her she can’t kiss them. She realises Ryan may now want her and however short a time that might be for, she will happily take whatever she can get. He sticks by her side for most of the Cattlemen’s Ball, ignoring the fact he should be rustling up business and making contacts. He doesn’t like to leave her out of sight or reach and when someone else does manage to get a dance with her while he is busy elsewhere, his jealousy ramps up and pushes him over the edge! A kiss and being jealous ends up with him in her bed for a heated night together, while the rest of the family are all away. He wants her to be his, but he has a lot of work to do, to convince her that he is serious and has changed his ways. He may have always been told to stay away from her, but now he can’t leave her alone until she is his. He has to make her realise that he is serious and that he sees his future with her and nobody else, no matter how he used to be. A lovely story of a crush becoming reality, but with some difficult times in-between. Ryan has to grow up and realise the perfect woman has been in front of him all this time and show how serious he is about settling down. Mai has to realise she is beautiful, inside and out, no matter what someone might have said or what she wears. She certainly gets a lot f attention with her new look, but the men who asked her out, also knew her beforehand and still wanted to take her out! A HEA ending for the pair and I can’t wait to catch up with King and Nat’s story and then read the next books in the series. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

This was a cute and romantic story, but personally I didn't like Ryan the farm playboy🤷🏻‍♀️He never saw really Mia until she changed a bit and started to look at other men. Yes he groveled a whole lot but it broke my heart for Mia to live through such a heartbreak before. So not my favorite brother in this series ,but a great story nonetheless 😍😍😍😍 Sweet, romantic , but not safe( he was with others while knowing her 😉) but with a sweet HEA❤️❤️

He finally sees her..but when others do also can he convince her his feelings are real

Redeemed Cowboy is the second book in the Whiskey Valley: Bryant Brothers series. This series is about the four Bryant brothers who inherited and now run the family ranch, Double B Ranch. This story is about Ryan Bryant, the perpetual cowboy playboy of the brothers, who finally finds love right under his nose, and where he least expected it. Mia is twenty-one years old and has worked at the Double B Ranch in the office after coming there to join her father, who was a ranch hand. When King offered her the job she was happy and even after her father moved on to another ranch, as he never stays long in one place, she stayed and has made what she thinks of as a family with the Bryant family and the other workers. Mia's mother had died when she was thirteen so she never had a female influence. This has meant that she dresses a bit frumpy as she does not go shopping, ever. So when the annual Cattleman's Association Ball comes up and King and Nat headed to Texas to visit her family, King asks her to accompany Ryan since he will be the Bryant in attendance. She is nervous for several reasons, not the least that she has had a crush on Ryan since she first moved to the ranch. Ryan on the other hand is a bit peeved that King picked his date for him and it turns out to be Mia, the young woman that he thinks of as frumpy. Well really he said it out loud and Mia heard it. So things are about to get interesting when Mia asks Nat to go to town and help her do a makeover - hair, make-up, clothes, the works. Mia does not only get Ryan's attention but also that over a couple other local single men, which Ryan has an issue with even though he can not quite figure out why. The man is tied up tighter than a calf roping contest.

I enjoyed this humorous story that weaves together family, friends, drama, romance, emotions, love, growing up and of course some hot and sweaty passion. I will say that I wanted to smuck Ryan upside his head more than a few times but the way his brothers just watch him tie himself up in knots was fun to read. I felt for Mia and loved that she was willing to take what Ryan heard and even though she was hurt by it she also used it as the nudge to spread her wings and make some changes.

This is the second book Whisky Valley Bryant Brothers series each one seems to read as a standalone however, the brothers all overlap in each of the stories. Mia has worked for the brothers as an assistant of sorts basically she does everything office related, smart, strong, comes from a broken home her mom just up and left leaving her with a father who couldn’t sit still so he homeschooled her and results are she never really learned girly things or how to make friends. So, when the oldest ask her to attend the ball with the one brother she has crushed from day one overhearing him call her frumpy sets off a chain of actions that no one expected. Ryan sexy as all get out youngest Bryant brother, a cowboy playboy, reputation of being a ladies man and every girl in town wants to be with him easy on the eyes and he is part owner of the ranch why wouldn’t they want him. His brother asked him to go and represent the ranch at the ball agreeing to go and even taking Mia their assistant until she decides she wants a change going out to get her hair cut, replacement clothes, learns to put make up on and realizes she is beautiful but Ryan started seeing it when the vet pay a little more attention to Mia then needed and realizing it upset him so doing some soul searching, some apologizing for his comment, and putting in the work to gain just a little trust from her but he realized it upset him when other guys showed any interest in her especially when she goes on a date with one and then asked out by the other it will kick him into gear so to speak of making things right by her. Ryan understands hard work, sacrifice and that he is going to do for his Mia, he will show her that she can trust him with her heart, her love, her everything but is it enough to win her over after years of being a jerk to her, and can they find their own HEA?

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars.

i didn’t love this but I didn’t hate it either. It’s a short and sweet quick little palette cleanser that delivers on its promises of being a small town romance with a playboy cowboy hero and a plus size innocent heroine 🥹.

this is a lot shorter then the first book, at only 14 chapters and 78 pages, you can easily finish it within the hour. The only reason I didn’t was down to life being busy 🥴.

We follow Mia and Ryan, who both featured in the first book. Mia is the assistant at the Double B Ranch and has worked there for 3 years. Ryan is the youngest of the Bryant brothers and a playboy in town. Mia has crushed on him since working at the ranch but doesn‘t think she’ll ever get noticed. Meanwhile Ryan doesn’t see himself settling down anytime soon but he also can’t help but notice Mia more recently. And when they are partnered up to attend an event together, the tension build, jealously rises and feelings are established.

All in all, this was fine, but nothing amazing. I will say it’s just simple and easy to get through if you are in need of a quick cowboy romance. This is only my second time reading from Hope Ford and I do want to continue this series, mainly for it being short and sweet and it helps with my reading challenge 👍🏻🥰.

side note: I noticed a few reviews saying “this book is not safe”. Well I want to make my thoughts clear on this and say IT IS SAFE. Yes our hero is a player (it’s established at the start) and he HAD a woman BEFORE things escalated with our heroine but it was only minor and it didn’t go anywhere besides kissing. Our hero DOES NOT sleep with the other woman whilst his feelings grow towards our heroine. I hope this clears things up 👍🏻.

Loved this book. This is all about Mia and Ryan. Ryan is the playboy of the Bryant family. Ryan likes his women for one night and then moves on and his women know the score. Mia works at the Bryant ranch as their assistant and has had a crush on Ryan since she started. Everyone seems to know about her crush except Ryan. But when Mia overhears Ryan telling his brother King that he thinks Mia is just a "frumpy" girl and doesn't want to take her to the Cattleman's Ball she has finally had it. Mia realizes Ryan is never going to love her like she should be loved. And she thinks it is time to get rid of the frumpy and move on from Ryan. But when Ryan realizes that Mia has had a crush on him forever maybe it's time for him to evaluate himself and see how he truly feels. After all when Mia was first hired it was his brothers telling him to stay away from Mia and not to hurt her. By doing that was he giving up on his own happiness. This is a very good love story, especially when Ryan realizes that there is more to Mia than he ever thought. This is very well written love story with great characters and great dialogue. I could not put it down once I started it. This book is set in Whiskey Run too and I love the people I meet in this series of books. If you have not read any of the Whiskey Run series you are missing out because all the books so far are excellent. They are all standalones and they are all excellent reads. Ryan and Mia's book is a great steamy hot love story and you are rooting for them all through the book. Loved it!

*spoilers* Mia has been working the office at the double b ranch for three years. She experiences a lot of women throwing themself at Ryan, who got nicknamed playboy cowboy, always thinking they will be the one who tie him down. Also she does not want it, Mia has a crush on Ryan, who is not even very nice to her and she even heard him tell his brothers she looks like a frump. Ryan does not want to open himself up for heartache, having experienced what it did to his older brother King (I can really recommend this story :o)). King now happily in love, can not attend the cattleman's ball this year and Ryan got the task. King told him to take somebody respectable and chose Mia. Being a playboy, Ryan deeply cares for abandond animals and rescues them, this and other things make it so hard for Mia to let go of her feelings for him. Ryan is very protective of her and when other men are interested in her, he has feelings he tried to subdue for a long time. But everybody loves Mia on the ranch and she is not a woman to mess around with and he hurt her. Will they find the love and settle down with each other?
Like all the other stories by Hope Ford, I just can get lost in the story. Also I have read similar stories, somehow her stories touch me just a little bit deeper, lovely and genuine characters, who make me cry and laugh with them. Ryan is such a sweetheart, once he could admit his feelings.

This is Ryan and Mia’s story in the Whiskey Valley Bryant Brothers (book 2) series. Mia has worked on the ranch for the Bryant brothers for 3 years since her dad up and left and she has had a crush on Ryan the whole time which she thinks she has kept a secret from everyone. When King and Nat are going to be out of town he asks Ryan to take Mia to the Cattleman’s ball and represent the ranch. Ryan is the playboy of the Bryant family and told King that Mia is fumpy in passing and Mia overheard him. Mia decides it’s time to move on and try and get over her crush on Ryan by updating her looks (not for him but for herself) and wardrobe. Mia was raised by her father and never had a woman in her life to help with clothing and make up so she asks Nat to go with her to spend the day helping her buy new clothes, make up and get her hair done. When she returns to the ranch Ryan is shocked by his feelings towards Mia and doesn’t want her going on dates because she is a ranch employee and needs to keep up appearances. He goes about it all wrong and it’s kind of funny to watch him go after the girl he finally figures out is his and that he has feelings for. This was a super cute, steamy, love story and I recommend it to everyone.

This is the 2nd book in the Whiskey Valley:Bryant Brothers series featuring Ryan and Mia's sweet and heartwarming secret crush love story. Mia has been working at the Double B for the past 3yrs ever since she showed up with her father but when he left she stayed. Ryan is part owner of the Double B and has a reputation for being a bit of a playboy but Mia still crushes hard on him. Ryan's older brother King tells him to attend the Cattleman's Ball and take Mia with him. Ryan is frustrated that his date has been chosen for him so he makes some hurtful remarks about Mia not knowing that she heard him. She decides then and there that she's done with Ryan and that maybe it's time for a makeover and for her to try dating. The few changes that she makes draw a lot of male appreciation leading to her going on a couple of dates. Ryan doesn't like the fact that Mia is dating a McCoy or the vet or anyone else for that matter. Will he be able to fix what he so carelessly broke? Can he redeem himself in her eyes? You really need to read this sweet story to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Mia works on a ranch run by 4 brothers. She has worked there for the last 3 years and has always had a crush on the youngest brother, Ryan. But Ryan is known as a playboy and always has a new girl on his arm. Mia is looking for something serious and knows that she needs to get over her crush, especially when she hears Ryan calling her "Frumpy".
Mia and Ryan are asked to attend an event to represent the ranch, and in order to make herself feel better Mia decides to have a makeover.
Seeing Mia's new look and noticing that she is being asked out by more people than before, Ryan gets jealous and decides to finally act on his feelings for Mia. But Mia doesn't believe he is serious about her, she just thinks that he wants one night with her, just like all the other women he has been with in the past.
Can Ryan make Mia realise that he is serious before its too late.

I enjoyed reading this book. It is the 2nd in the series but can be read on its own. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is book number 2 of the Whiskey Valley: Bryant Brothers series and focuses on Ryan and Mia. Ryan is part owner of the Double B Ranch and has a playboy reputation. Mia has worked at the ranch for 3 years and has had a big crush on Ryan since she started. When Mia overhears King, Ryan's brother, tell him to take Mia to the cattleman's ball he expresses his frustrations about having a date picked for him and calls her frumpy. Mia decides that she's done with her crush on him and decides to try and move on. She decides to make herself feel better by changing up her appearance a bit and when guys start to take notice and she starts trying to date, Ryan does not like it one bit. After a conversation with his brother, he re-examines his feelings for Mia that he had pushed down after being initially warned off from her when she started. He knows he has a lot of work to do to make up for his comments and treatment of her but he was definitely willing to put in the work to finally get his woman. This was a great addition to the series! I can't wait to read the other 2 brothers stories.

'Redeemed Cowboy' by Hope Ford is the second book in her Whiskey Valley: Bryant Brothers series and tells the story of Mia, the ranch office assistant, and Ryan the playboy of the Bryant family. Mia has had a crush on Ryan since working at the ranch but he has no interest in her. Besides his brothers have told him she is off limits. However, they did instruct him to take Mia to the Cattlemen's Ball and make sure she has fun. Mia decides it’s time to move on and try and get over her crush on Ryan by and the first step is updating her looks, not for him but herself. Ryan is floored when he sees her and realizes he may be to late for him.

Ms. Ford has written a charming addition to her series. This book is well-developed with great characters and an interesting plot. The story contains laughs, trust issues, misunderstandings, and plenty of passion. It was funny how Ryan talked himself about Mia. I liked how hard he had to work to earn her trust back. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of cowboy swagger with their HEA.

Its a solid story if a little lacking. King and Nats book had more going on including interactions with others to get a sense of who they were. This felt a little too fairytale and simple. I can understand Ryan staying away, and being advised to do so by his brothers because he is older, more experienced and set on being single. Mia is now 21, was 18 on arrival at the ranch, shes completely inexperienced at lacking in confidence. Seeing Mia interact with other men and gain her own confidence Ryan knows he needs to prove he can settle down for her. I felt the end was too easy for Ryan and Mia came across as a walk over. Which is my only negative.
That being said, I don't agree with the reviewers complaining that the plot is unsafe. She is 21 and has thought about what she wants, even her Dad knows of her crush on Ryan. Not every couple, in books or real life are both virgins then get married. The horror if those reviewers read many of the other genres out there!
