This book's title translates to "My nine lives", and is a short self biography-ish book, or maybe more of a declaration of self book, written in Swedish by MP Hanif Bali. Bali is otherwise known as a very outspoken MP, especially on social media. I've always found his social media texts to be very (brutally) honest, witty and in your face, with a high amplitude of sound logic and intelligence. He is really an oddity in Sweden's ecosystem of established parties - a politician with a spine. So I had some expectations about the book, but to be honest, I was triggered to buy it just because it was offered with a signature. A bit nerdy, I know. Anyway, I had expected to get social media Hanif in exponent, and I wasn't disappointed. He is, we should not expect anything less, completely honest in this book as he tallies up his childhood, teen years, historical and political events in which he has had insight, gives us a few lectures in rhetoric, declares his truly intelligent thoughts on immigration and integration, and passes a few right hooks to both sides of the political spectrum. The book has a generally positive tone, even when he describes situations that obviously must have been pretty shitty, and I'm impressed by his magnanimous attitude towards wrongdoers and rivals, but I suppose one needs that incorporated to stay sane on the political arena. I'm only slightly dissatisfied with the ending as I can't really understand where he was heading, except possibly giving a proper boot to the Swedish social services. To conclude; if you are interested in Swedish politics regardless of where on the spectrum you are, this is a book for you.
PS. Niklas Wykman for Prime Minister! (read the book, and you might understand)
