The collapse of the northern hemisphere has led to billions of deaths, and while the McKnight family tries to survive, the challenges continue to mount in Epoch’s End Book 5.
destruction, survival and humanity in his first solo project in 4 years.
In the North Atlantic, a massive fissure in the sea floor has opened up, and an underground reservoir is releasing quadrillions of gallons of water into the oceans.
A dozen Naval ships investigating this strange anomaly are sunk, leaving one scientist and his daughter as the only survivors.
As unforeseen consequences spread from the anomalous rupture, those on both land and sea are faced with the reality that life in the world is rapidly changing as the current epoch ends… and a new one begins.
Mike Kraus' epic dystopian thriller, COLLAPSE, Book 5 continues the fantastic Epoch's End survivalist thriller series, with danger at every turn for the McKnight family. They've escaped from the FEMA prison camp...with Keith and a Russian mercenary team in hot pursuit through the Arctic conditions of New Mexico. Captain Morales and his men in Santa Fe are also in deep (freeze) trouble, as they find multiple US victims in an unexpected situation... what's strange about the maintenance crew at an army warehouse? When our heroes finally think they've escaped their nemesis, Fate deals them a heartbreaking blow. Get COLLAPSE today and see where it all ends!
The McKnight family gets away from the military who were pursuing Tom. They end up in a camp that is supposed to help refugees trying to stay alive. There are dropping temperatures and snow that are basically killing people into Florida and also into Mexico. How many will survive? Is the government helping? Where is the President? Did he survive?
Things never run smooth as the characters in this book find out. Keith is determined to catch the McNights but they keep outsmarting him. Which doesn't help his temper. There is always something around the corner with this book and it definitely keeps you on edge turning those pages. Now on to book 6 .
As Tom McKnight and his family attempt to survive the arctic freeze coming down south and alluding the vengeful Banks and Keith trying to capture them. They entered Mexico but end up in in military camp as prisoners. When they finally escape the camp, Keith is hot on their trail. Chasing them in the freezing snow.
An intense book that will keep you intrigued once again. The McKnight family is in danger, with a fissure and unground pipes flooding water into the oceans. How will people survive. Every turn of the page brings more questions. Loved it.
The McKnight family is resourceful and quite able to keep a step ahead of their pursuit, but the weather is the main threat. The hubris of 'scientists' who mess things up while trying to control things is phenominal.
The family continues to try to head South out of the cold. Keith and his commander try to track and find them. Other refugees fight against the government and Tom and family. Looking forward to book 6.
I really like the series so far. The midnights are doing a bang up job with Keith. I have never knew the hatred that one man can have. I hope the next book or books are as entertaining as this one has been
There are a lot of grammar, spelling and writing errors. Shae’s name changes back and forth from that spelling to Shea. There are a lot of different story lines and makes it hard to focus on any of them. I am really done with Banks and Keith. How are they able to operate like this and to what end?
The McKnight are trying to head south to a warmer climate. The forces that be do not always in the families favor. Fighting snow, bitter cold, ruthless army relocation camps and a ruthless mercenary will they ever find a place to setgle.
Why do all these books end the same way? Good guys win, bad guys lose. I’m not a pessimist really, but how many times can you read about a family separated by the end of the world and struggling to get back together again?
Collapse is an interesting book, but just so many moving parts. Just as you get into one subject line it throws you into another. It does keep you sharp though.
Gritting stuff, fast moving in a below zero freezing world. Americans fleeing south into camps awaiting further transit. The family fleeing camps being chased by the agent and his fellow helpers. Caught further south, but will they survive.
The 5th book in Epochs End, Collapse is still giving plenty of tense and exciting moments. I love the extra storylines that we also get to follow, so it's not all about the McKnight's, it allows the story to grow further. Onto the next thrilling book.
Although the writing is good, this is more of a war story than an apocalyptic one. A bit boring and no clear ending for any of the characters. Not my favorite, but I am sure someone else will enjoy it.
Epoch’s End Book 5 With the McKnight’s together at last. They try to escape Keith’s clutches. Loving this fast paced series. Can’t wait for the next book.
Plausible story plot good strong characters both sexes in story its not boring good series set storyline drug out sometimes I just skipped a few pages loved reading it
