She's fated to be mine, but the world is determined to steal her away.
When I was twelve, I was forced to watch as an invader killed everyone I loved. He captured me and took me to the chamber, where he tortured me and the other males, desperate to twist us into a beastly army. He may have turned me into a monster, but I refused to give into his demands.
Now I’ve been sold to the Galaxy Games, where I must complete a series of dangerous tasks with an Earthling female by my side. Jade is luscious and curvy, and she makes me ache for a life I never thought I could have.
Jade’s determined to win the Game. And despite allowing me to show her the steps of Videen, my people’s way of giving pleasure, she insists she'll return to her home planet once the Game is finished.
But she’s my fated mate, and I keep what’s mine.
Alien Warrior Untamed is Book 2 of the Galaxy Games Series. Each book features a different tortured alien hero who’s desperate to find and cherish his fated mate.
AVA ROSS fell for men with unusual features when she first watched Star Wars, where alien creatures have gone mainstream. She lives in New England with her husband (who is sadly not an alien, though he is still cute in his own way), her kids, and assorted pets, including a yorkie pup and three cats.
alien hunger games got boring pretty fast after the first one so i'm just gonna skip the third book and read fourth one because i still want to see all four of the couples got their hea
“Are they slavers?” Summer asked, her voice quavering. “I love alien romance. I used to think being abducted would be the sexiest thing imaginable. I’m not feelin’ the love anymore. This is scary!” Summer is me and i'm Summer
Jade and Bahros book is very interesting and compeling. Do do need to read the first book in ordem to know the greater picture but for the purpose of our chatectheres this book hás a beggining and and a end.Jade was abducted along with the furry friend Vrok (Nice Touch with the name reference) and end up on some Twister de galaxie games where you either win or you die! Bahros is amazing, he sufferd so much and still he does everything to help Jade and save them from death. The endimg is very exciting and a prelude to the Next book.

Alien Warrior Untamed de Ava Ross Serie Galaxy Games libro 2
Argumento:
This is the second of the Galaxy Games series from the author. The book begins where the first ends. Jade, the book’s female character wakes with her beloved Chihuahua, Vork, with our hero, Bahros, unconscious in a small vessel headed to the second Galaxy Games location. I loved the character arc and relationship build between our protagonists. I also loved the acknowledgment of the a previous book/hero, Vork, as the dog’s moniker. If you love a good fated mates sci-fi romance series with great, non-stop action, steamy scenes, and sexy hemalos, this series should be the next one you read. I can’t wait for the next. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The 2nd book to the Galaxy Games quest. We meet the strong and fiesty yet sassy Jade. We see that Jade is the first woman tk be abducted with her chihuahua named Vork (nice touch to one of your book characters name). He is hidden while she is taken and meets Bahros Am’ul Bhulphaer who was taken from his planet at 12. All of his people killed except for him. He had a tortured up bringing. But the love and support of his 3 brothers he is a stronger male with a kind heart. The lord whom experimented on all 4 deemed them all unworthy of being on his army. Little did he know the experiments worked but they pretended it didnt. Now Bahros and Jade must complete 3 tasks in order to live and leave. But the controller Gretha as other plans along with other counselors there. Since Anna and Tetyrx were able to pass them will do anything for Jade and Bahros to not pass. Since they want the viewers to gamble.
Oh my this story of Bahros and Jade had me on my seat. I couldnt put this down and laughed at their bantered between them. So cute and funny. I swooned for him so much.. also vorkie sounds so cute. I hope others will pick up this series up and take their chance on these brothers and their fated mates.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💙💚💜❤️ Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Chemistry: 🧪🧪🧪🧪 Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏 Character development: ☺️🤨🤗🙁 Narration: 🎙🎙🎙 Narration Type: Dual Narration
💔 Heroine: Jade
Jade grew up learning that love wasn’t always unconditional. Her globe-trotting parents preferred chasing adventures to raising a child, so she was left in the care of her aunt—who quickly became her entire world. Now in her mid-twenties, Jade is struggling to move forward after the recent death of that beloved aunt. Her life changes dramatically when, during a late-night walk with her Chihuahua, Vork (adorably named after a hero from her favorite alien romance), she witnesses a strange light in the sky. Within moments, Jade and her dog—safely tucked inside her shirt—are abducted by aliens.
True to her fiery spirit, Jade refuses to be a passive victim. She fights back hard during the abduction, even breaking her arm in the struggle. Once aboard the spacecraft, however, she experiences alien medical technology firsthand as they heal her injury with a flash of futuristic light. Along with three other human women, Jade is transported to a distant world and forced into an arena-like coliseum. The stands are filled with alien spectators, waiting to watch as four massive alien males are paired with the newly captured women for something called the Galaxy Games.
🛡️ Hero: Bahros
Bahros’s childhood was a nightmare. At just twelve years old, an evil alien warlord wiped out his entire people, leaving Bahros the sole survivor. Taken captive, he was imprisoned alongside three other young males who would eventually become his chosen brothers. Their captor conducted cruel and invasive experiments on them, forcing mutations meant to create weapons of war. Bahros was given gills and fins, as well as enhancements to his mind.
But Bahros and his brothers were clever. They hid the full extent of their abilities, pretending the experiments had failed. Eventually, their captor sold them to the council as little more than broken gladiators to be used in the brutal spectacle of the Galaxy Games. For Bahros, this new life became less about survival and more about reclaiming agency—and maybe even finding freedom.
🔥 Plot Pulse
When the four alien males are ordered to choose human partners, Bahros immediately selects Jade. Though she resists at first, their bond is undeniable. Together, they are thrust into a gauntlet of three deadly challenges, each designed not just to test their strength but to ensure their failure. Bahros overhears the council plotting against them: the first pair was allowed to win, but the others—Jade and Bahros included—are not meant to survive.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. Victory in the Galaxy Games promises freedom and wealth, while failure guarantees death. To win, Jade and Bahros must fight side by side, relying on trust, strategy, and a growing connection that neither of them anticipated. The games are broadcast across the galaxy, turning them into reluctant celebrities whose every move is scrutinized. Even small gestures of affection or bravery can sway powerful watchers who may provide aid—or condemnation.
✅ What Hit Home
• The bond between Jade and Bahros developed organically through teamwork, mutual sacrifice, and shared danger. Their relationship felt earned rather than rushed. • The fated mates twist was a fun addition—the moment their hair tips turned light blue was both visually striking and symbolic of their unbreakable tie. • Jade’s reluctance made her journey to love more believable. Watching her go from guarded skepticism to wholehearted devotion was deeply satisfying.
⚠️ What Felt Worn
• The Galaxy Games concept, while entertaining, leaned heavily on tropes popularized by The Hunger Games. Some of the scenarios felt predictable rather than fresh. • The narration occasionally veered into melodrama. The overacting lessened the impact of some emotional moments, making them feel exaggerated instead of powerful.
🎧 Narration Breakdown
This audiobook employs dual narration, switching between Jade’s perspective (Tawnia Murray) and Bahros’s (Lance Greenfield).
• Tawnia Murray delivered a strong performance with a smooth, pleasant voice and a polished British accent. Her narration brought a sense of elegance and clarity to Jade’s story. • Lance Greenfield leaned into emotional expression, sometimes over the top but often compelling. While his voice wasn’t as deep as I usually prefer in alien romance heroes, I found myself growing fond of his style as the story progressed. His portrayals of female characters, however, didn’t always land convincingly.
📝 Final Thoughts
This audiobook blends sci-fi adventure, survival trials, and fated-mates romance into a high-stakes intergalactic spectacle. While the Galaxy Games setup borrows familiar beats from dystopian competitions, the chemistry between Jade and Bahros injects the story with heart and intensity. The blend of action, danger, and romance will appeal to fans of both alien gladiator stories and star-crossed mate bonds.
The narration is engaging despite a few quirks, and together, the story and performance create an addictive listen. If you’re in the mood for danger-filled alien romance with a side of cosmic spectacle, this one is worth queuing up.
DNF. Only got to 15%. I’ll explain why. Not many spoilers to give since I only made it to chapter 5. Maybe this gets better as you go on,but I just couldn’t. I mean obviously from ALL the high ratings this works or hits right for enough ppl but not me. Why? Well,I don’t care if it’s Fae,Vamps,Shifters,Demons,Angels,Elementals, gods or demi gods or what type of aliens or shape or shade of paranormal you want to use, there needs to be things that ground them in some sort of reality. Mentally, emotionally or physically there has to be something we can relate to that makes feel grounded and or real. What do I mean ? Ok, we have Bathros ( think I got that tight) a alien male who was taken when he was supposedly 12, by a monster of a creature ,who used and abused and tortured and experimented on him . This was after he’d seen his family and what he knew of his ppl killed and or destroyed. Now, I’m thinking Bathros has gotta be at least 22. So that means ,this poor B after watching what he knew of his world, his ppl, his family violently killed ,is abused and experimented on and tortured for at least a decade. A DECADE! From at least 12 to 22 almost all this poor guy has known is pain and abuse. And yet…. And yet after all that ,plus overhearing the ppl running the games are planning to fix things for the ppl betting in it and kill off him and Jade, all he can think of when he comes to with her is to sniff her crotch and declare her his mate and offer her orgasms. Huh ? He’s not jaded . He’s not worried. He’s not even the slightest bit skittish. No! No, he’s like some fresh innocent noob, offering orgasms to prove what a good mate he will be . And doesn’t get why being erect for her and his hair changing color in some places doesn’t convince her. What ?!?!? After all he’s been thru alone his behavior seemed off but to know these ppl are out to fix things and kill them it really didn’t make sense. Bathros was just too innocent seeming ,almost naïve in attitude. Jade Ok, Jade is some young librarian who supposedly lives in the city, and take her Chihuahua out for walks dressed in flannel shirts big enough for it to jump into and hide. A Chihuahua who already seems ready for space travel because it’s named “Volk “ ,which might mean something in another language but here sounds like a name for a space alien. Now,while I tried to ignore the idea that while aliens break her arm while trying capture her, they NEVER once notice the dog hiding in her shirt. I couldn’t over look how nothing seemed to effect Jade. She goes through the horror being taken and injured, then she’s basically thrown into solitary confinement for two weeks while they travel thru space, with just her dog and the occasional bar or food. That’s it. No water is mentioned. Nor is it mentioned how she or the dog relived themselves. Ppl here on earth 🌎 often break down in solitary confinement. But two weeks ? Two weeks in space with no clue what’s going to happen to you after that trauma ? No. Just no. I don’t care that he’s neon green with stripes and gills, three long toes and claws, both act all their trauma and pain is long forgotten and shouldn’t be fresh, they should think only of orgasms and mating, and then maybe ,just maybe these annoying games where ppl want to kill them. TLDR: Characters behavior doesn’t even come close to mirroring what they’ve been through. Doesn’t matter how crazy the situation, something has to be real to ground the story.
This is part of a 4-book series. As a basis, 4 aliens were taken from their homes as young boys by an evil alien Warlord named Vunne. This captor performed torturous experiments on the boys as they grew, in attempt to turn them into indestructible warriors. The shared experience bonded these 4 males together over time, where they became closer than brothers. Unfortunately, these experiments failed miserably (or so Vunne thought), so he sold his warriors to the Galaxy Games. Along with the aliens, four females were kidnapped from Earth and forced to pair up with the brothers to participate in the universally televised games. Think of it as an alien version of the Hunger Games and Survivor combined. The idea is simple: Survive the games, and live. Or die trying. Each book follows one of these brothers. Packed with adventure and romance, these first person novels do not disappoint.
Alien Warrior Untamed follows the alien brother Bahros and his human partner Jade. Bahros is a green alien with green eyes. His water enhancements include several fins, gills and webbed feet. He also has the ability to see the future, though it isn’t always accurate or reliable. Jade is a funny character; taking things in stride. She handled situations a lot better than I probably would’ve. I really liked both characters in this book. Jade’s Chihuahua, Vorkie, was smuggled into the games under her shirt when she was abducted, and he did his part by helping the two complete each task, and win the hearts of the gargoyles. After they win (obviously they win, so that shouldn’t have been a spoiler), Jade chooses to stay with Bahros, and Bahros chooses for them to join his blue friend Tetryx and his mate Anna. They have a lovely reunion, and later find out the wonderful news of pregnancy. Fiction or not, it was very heartwarming.
The romance scenes were quite extraordinary. Bahros has two tongues that vibrate; what girl wouldn’t enjoy that? He’s also equipped with his “kiss of bliss,” where the girl can orgasm from a simple kiss of the mouth by touching a spot under her tongue. And if THAT wasn’t enough, he has an orgasmic “hum” that arouses both parties physically. That could come in real handy, truth be told. You wouldn’t even need to waste time with fore play, just hum a merry tune. Lol.
I found myself rooting for each warrior; after a lifetime of pain and suffering, they deserve a happily ever after. Highly recommended read. I enjoyed the ride.

💚 “I am here solely for your pleasure, mate. Remember this.” ~~~ Jade was amazing! I loved her analytic mind and her kindness. Even more, she’s so fun, witty and feisty. And I really liked that she never gave up and was so brave in the face of danger and when dealing with her own fears. She’s absolutely amazing and I loved her so much!
And Bahros is the sweetest male ever! This alien Aquaman is so big, strong, dangerous and fiercely protective. But there is so much more to him than meets the eye - beneath the scarred and fearsome façade, hides such a sweet and kind cinnamon roll. And, despite everything he’s been through, he’s such a loyal and caring male. He’s one Zican warrior full of surprises and I adored everything about him!
Everything that happened between Jade and Bahros was awesome. I loved how well they worked together as a team and dealt with all the dangerous and deadly trials. And from the very beginning, their chemistry was absolutely fantastic! I really loved their banters and the teasing. And it was so heartwarming how supportive Bahros was and always there for Jade when she needed to be brave and face her fears. They were such a magnificent and passionate couple and so perfect for each other.
In addition, the worldbuilding and the storyline were phenomenal. The Universal Council can’t seem to accept defeat and the new trials were even more dangerous and life-threatening. And I’m so curious about the secret benefactor who seems to always be there when needed. Even more, let’s not forget Vork - that three-pound Chihuahua with the fierceness of a Rottweiler was the most adorable thing ever!
Overall, the story is another marvellous addition to the series. It’s filled with non-stop action, danger, adventure, humor, twists, unexpected alliances, scorching hot romance and magnificent characters.
I loved every single page of it and I’m super excited to see what will happen next!
This second book is similar in set-up to the first book in the series, in that Bahros was one of four friends that had been taken as children by the Shiedar invaders and experimented on by Lord Vunne prior to being sold to the Galaxy Games. Jade had been stolen from Earth while walking her chihuahua, Vork, and was placed on a spaceship that had three other Earth females on board. The four males and four females met for the first time in a stadium reminiscent of the Roman Colosseum. It was Bahros, a tall green alien with fins and gills, who first approached Jade and carried her to one of the four small ships waiting in the arena.
Both Bahros and Jade were drugged once inside the small ship, but Bahros awakened slightly, enough to overhear a conversation in which two people were discussing the upcoming games and how they would do whatever they could to ensure that Bahros and Jade failed. Shortly thereafter, the two found themselves en route to the location of the Games. A translator had been implanted in Jade and she could understand Bahros as he revealed to her that she was his fated mate. And then … the Game began.
I liked how even though the stories in the first and second book had similarities, they were in fact, very different books. The challenges for Bahros and Jade varied greatly from the challenges in the first book and the competitors were required to utilize every bit of their talents to solve the puzzles that might permit them to win the game. The character development was fantastic and the romance was humorous in places and extremely hot in others – just the way romance readers like! Altogether, this book was a delightful read and an exciting second book in the series and I absolutely loved it! My rating: 5 Stars!
I received a free copy of this book from the author as a part of her ARC team and am offering my truthful opinion of the book.
Now THIS was quite an adventure! The writing is fantastic, the storyline was amazing and the heat between these two was...whew! HOT. AND our writer even threw in a dog. So heat, plus cuteness? A definite win.
She was literally kidnapped off the streets and found herself in a spaceship! Luckily no one spotted her dog so her faithful companion was at her side. Soon she discovered she was not alone, and she also learned that she and her female companions were each going to be paired with a warrior in some kind of alien game. Finding an alien that intrigued her, they were soon stuck together. They learned to play this game together, attraction heating up and affection as well. While she didn't think this was fate for her...he was set on convincing her.
Oh my. Ok, first off, the writing was great. The story was about aliens but this was so easy to read, not bogged down by too many unhuman details. Everything is interesting and this story is non-stop action. The characters may not be of the same species, but they really play off one another well. Their attraction was yummy and you'll enjoy them and the little companions as well. And that HEA. Sweet, sweet, sweet! I love that there will be more to this world, I'll stay tuned!!

Jade was walking her dog. Then she was kidnapped by aliens. Her little chihuahua named Vork as hidden in her shirt. She meet 3 other human women on board the ship. There where taken to a place where there was 4 alien warriors. Bahros was taken with his brothers to a place where human women where brought in to them. He was taken with one of the females. He was immediately paired with the female and placed in a ship that knocked them out. When Bahros awoke he could smell that she was his mate. But Jade was having any of it. She wanted out. But they had to participate in the Galaxy Games. Both had to participate in each challenge. They needed to accomplish all 3 challenges in the time frame given to win. During the challenges Bahros taught Jade that she was stronger than she thought she was. Also she could rely on him. Jade taught Bahros that someone cared for him. Great story with an extra Survivor game vibe. But with failure resulting in your death if you lose. Some hot and steamy scenes in their down time. Has HAE. Also a surprise with the get together with Anna and Tetryx. Can’t wait for the other two stories. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow this book was amazing and I loved every page I turned and the characters are strong and independent as they each fight to win the games. Bahros was a young child when his family was murdered and he and other males where taken and where tortured, beaten and turned into monsters for his beastly army but Bahros refused to comply and was sold off to the galaxy games and must complete a series of dangerous tasks and survive to win. Jade is a human female and is determined to win the games with her team and her dog Vork and she has a gift of reading people and playing off there talents. When she meets the sexy alien Bahros the is an instant attraction and it isn’t long before they are steamy up the sheets but to her it cannot go anywhere because once she wins she is going home to earth. But to Bahros it’s more she is his fated mate and he’ll do anything to keep her safe but can or will he let her go afterwards. But they must endure more puzzles, obstacles, adversity, cruelty and thrills, adventure and so much more in order to win. How wins the games in the end to find out get this amazing book to find out and do they get there HEA or does Jade return home to earth. . Bahros (H) and Jade (h) are the second pairing of alien and human forced participants in a series of televised challenges that are constructed for failure. The H/h are strong characters who use their skills and abilities to aid one another to get through the games. Bahros has had years of experimentation and abuse, but luckily had four 'brothers' who helped get him though the harsh experiences. Jade has been abducted by aliens, along with her Chihuahua, Vork) from Earth. There is a lot of action - in terms of the game challenges and the growing relationship between them, which very quickly becomes sexual. The sex is extremely hot in this story and is so OTT in the best way with Bahros's special training and special eggplant. This is a fated mates story - the H recognized the h as his mate almost immediately, and the h accepts this fairly quickly too. Just as with the first book, the end of the game annoys me even though I realize it's building to a larger, overarching part of the story - the unexplained outside entity and spacecraft.
Jade has a fighting spirit though given her upbriging pretty much abandoned by her parents, how she managed it I have no idea. She has a great deal of compassion, love and empathy. Having fought back when taken she ended up with a broken arm and so was more aware of the fact that she'd been abducted by aliens. Except that she fpuind herself paired with a very not so little green man in some totally crazy situation called the Game. Will she find she has been put with an ally or a foe? While Bahros has some premonition he cannot see things clearly nor does he get the whole picture at times which very much frustrates him. So far he has been taken from his people and the remainder of them wiped out. He has been experimented on and hurt needlessly. Through it all he only had his brothers-in-arms to support him, as close as real brothers could ever be. Now he has been sold into an unwinable competition with the one person he can least afford to lose, his mate. How can he win and keep her? Does she even understand what she is to him? He who has everything taken from him?
4&1\2fabulous 🌟s for book two in the Galaxy Games💖💖🔥🔥
Bahros is the second tortured brother to awaken and be thrown into the games with his Earth female partner. Bahros is the last of his kind tortured and modified he has kept his abilities a secret. He was not going to let the being who did this use him for his own malicious purposes. So when he's dropped into the games he has a big of an advantage because many think he will die right away. Jade was abducted from Earth while she was walking her little dog Vork. They took them both and that's when she meets the other girls and ends up at the Galaxy Games and the partner of tall, green and deadly. She realizes quickly that neither of them have a choice in the games and that they have to work together to survive. What starts off as survival, quickly turns into respect friendship and love. The action is non stop and the danger intense but so is the love and the passion! It's a non stop thrill ride and I totally recommend you give this book and the series a try🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖💖
Kidnapped human Jade is teamed up with Bahros for another episode of the Galaxy Games. Jade, who was taken with her pet Chihuahua Vork, isn’t quite sure what to make of Bahros, especially when he introduces himself as her fated mate… not that it matters, because they only have a short time in which to complete the three (almost impossible) tasks set them by the game organizers.
This is the second book in the series, which features an alien-human pairing, and is set on a dangerously demanding world. There is lots of action, romance, and a few quirky characters to keep everything interesting! Add in a cute chihuahua and a nasty game show host, and you have an entertaining and enjoyable read. Since it *is* the second book in the series, I will add that it is best read as part of the series in chronological order, because there are a few aspects that build on the events in the previous book. That being said, it is a complete story with no cliffhangers, just a book hook for the next book.
I was excited to read this book because I enjoyed the last one so much. Normally I do not like to read whole series unless it focuses on the main couple throughout. However, I got to know all of the Earth females in book 1 so I was sort of invested in what happened to them.
This book came across as a lazy continuation. The world building was barely addressed, which is a problem. You have "contestants" on an alien planet so nothing will be familiar. The description is just enough to let us know Jade and her mate were not dropped in the same dome as Ana and her mate. I was confused at times on how the environment was structured, and it was frustrating.
But the worst part was the repeat of book 1. I liked the Hunger Games-Alien style that the author had going on, but nothing different happened. *Cruel, psychopathic controller manipulating the game against the contestants. *Do it or Die threats *something in the dome working against the game to help the contestant.
There wasn't anything exciting that happened.. the battles and missions were in book 1
I really liked this fated mates love story. It was entertaining and enjoyable for the most part. The characters were interesting and likable with the exception of Ghetta (and a few others that we didn’t get names for). Ghetta was amazingly horrible. She definitely deserved the consequences that she received. Jade, Vork, and Bahros met after they had been taken to compete in the Galaxy Games. Bahros immediately knew that Jade was his mate but she needed some convincing. There was drama, angst, laughs, and plenty of feels in this story. I loved their happily ever after although I wish there was an epilogue further out, but just because I’m greedy! I recommend reading this book.

This was fantastic, it was full of action, adventure, romance and had a bit of mystery and humor thrown in. The storyline flowed fluidly, and before I knew it I had read the whole book in one sitting. I loved Jade (FMC) and her little dog, Vork, was the cutest, bravest, little thing ever. Jade had a determined attitude which worked very well in the tasks at hand. Then there's Bahros, yummy and delicious, Bahros...this alien doesn't play around...well, he can but when he needs to complete something he will and when his mate is concerned, watch out. This whole book was a delight to read and I found myself completely absorbed in it. The romance was hot and spicy so most definitely worth your while to grab, plus you get to read and laugh at Vork. It had the while package.
I finished the first book of the series and jumped right onto book 2. This one was just as much fun and the adventure, puzzles and obstacles were well written and exciting. The female MC, Jade, was sassy and full of love. I appreciated how she used her people reading skills to help her “team” complete challenges. I could really relate to this. I also found the male MC, Bahros, to be so kind hearted and accepting of Jade and Her chihuahua, Vork. I am pretty sure with the love story and all that Vork was my favorite character and I love how Ava Ross named him 🥰 I really recommend this to those that love a story with a bit of adventure and adversity. I am now going to go reread the Crakair series while waiting for the third book. Don’t delay! Read this one! You won’t be disappointed 💛.
Bahros is a downright sweet character. He's been tortured all of his life, with only the company of two others who were kidnapped the same time he was. He sees himself as being less after having been altered by the individual who kidnapped them. But he's played his cards smart and hasn't let anyone, including those at the games, know that those alterations are more than decorative.
Jade also has a bit of extra help with her in the form of Vork, her little doggie who makes it through the story alive and unharmed. Indeed, one might argue he's the real hero of the story! With Jade's unique perspective, Bahros's extra abilities (including orgasms), and Vorkie's irresistible charm, they take a different approach to the games.
The hero has gills, blue tipped hair, and fins. He can also sometimes see the future or gets "feelings" of how to do things.
I liked how they solved the deadly games. Heroine has a Chihuahua dog that was with her when she got abducted. Dog helps them solve things.
I found the announcer annoying who kept taunting them and saying she wanted to exterminate them. It got old very quickly.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
They survive the games, sort of steal a ship (mysterious alien helped them but needs to be secret) and return home to meet his brother and Anna from book 1. Heroine from book 1 and this heroine from book 2 are both pregnant and puking from morning sickness.
They have a device to watch the next games, which feature another brother and human. Their friends.
Bahros and Jade are the second alien-human team forced to compete in the Galaxy Games. Having seen all his loved ones killed before being taken and cruelly experimented on, Bahros wants nothing more than to find his fated mate and reunite with his brothers. He is thrilled to find that his partner in the game is his fated mate. Jade awakens on a small ship with a huge green alien claiming she is his mate. Even with his promises of pleasure, Jade just wants to get home with her dog Zork, who came along for the ride when she was kidnapped. With Bahros’s fierce protectiveness and Jade’s equally fierce determination they bond together in order to fight both against the games and for each other. I have a feeling these aliens aren't going to be throwing humans into the games anymore. They seem very irritated by the cooperation of the mates. I really liked these two they had some depth to them and even with all he has been through Bahros is such a sweetheart.
I really enjoyed this book. There was a lot going on and I often felt like I had more urgency than these two did. They thrived with inappropriately timed heartfelt conversations. But it was a really great one sitting read because I had to read what happened next.

Wow! What the main characters had to go through after their abduction and forced into the Galaxy Games. Jade thought she was weak and couldn't do much to help her game partner. Barroso though he nothing to offer a mate with a childhood of torture and captivity and abuse, but when his fated mate shows up and is partnered with him in the deadly game, he'll do anything to protect her. This book had the couple facing so many deadly dangers that I couldn't wait to see what the couple was going to do next to get through their trouble. I was captivated in the story and couldn't put the book down. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Great story with plenty of action, danger, suspense, deadly trials, humor, twists, passion, love, and sexy characters. Love the characters of Jade and Bahros. Jade's characters never gave up when danger and fear. She was really brave and spunky. Bahros is strong, dangerous, and protective. He never lost his self while being tortured. He knew that Jade was his fated mate and he was going to do everything to keep them alive. This story kept me reading till the end because I needed to know what happened. Can't wait for the next book in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sometimes book 2 of series are not as good as the first, but Ava Ross has done it. I really liked Jade and Bahros from the very start of this book. Jade was just out walking her dog, a chihuahua named Vork, when she is kidnapped by aliens. To keep her dog safe, she keeps him hidden in her shirt. Bahros ia paired with Jade to play in the Galaxy Games and he discovers she is his mate. The book is fast paced, full of action, great sizzle and steam, and so much more. All four of these books will be available to read for free with your Kindle Unlimited subscription. Awesome series.
I received an ARC from Booksprout and this is my honest review.
40%- chapter 18 was as far as I could get. I read the 1st book and gave it 1 star but I wanted to give the series another chance since I've typically liked Ava Ross books. Mistake, I could've been reading something else. These books are just immature, the writing the way they interact and talk just seems very teenage to me. Also kinda seems to skip parts, idk how to explain it and can't quite put my finger on it..best way I can describe is they'll be doing something and in the middle of the same sentence it jumps to them talk/doing something else. It's like there's pages missing or something.
OMG I love Vork! You can't go wrong having a dog in a book.
Bahros is just the sweetest Alien ever. He has a strength and gentleness to him that is perfectly balanced. And Jade..well I want Jade as my BFF. She is strong and I love her humor. In other words the characters are great! The story is action packed. The world building is awesome. The sexy times are hot. The bad guys you really want to get theirs. This book is so good! I am dying for the next two books! I've yet to read an Ava Ross book I didn't love! 5 stars all the way!
