Crikey! Cheryl Elaine’s book is a ride & a half. Innocence stolen away in many forms in this book. It has abuse and cruelty but it deals with it from many views & we’ve all heard tales about cults. This just takes you along with it. I read it in 2 days, couldn’t not. I needed to see what happened. Fab.

Kates life has not been a happy one, born out of sin her mother says, there’s no special mother daughter bond there. So when Adam shows her friendship and tempts her with a loving, happy family environment where everyone looks out for each other and lives together happily she naively jumps at the chance. Obviously this scenario is not what she finds herself in!
This was a really good book that I enjoyed a lot. A great page turner that’s well written and keeps you turning the pages until the end. Highly recommend
I was gripped by this the latest offers from this author. I’ve read all of her previous books and this one didn’t disappoint either. A fab read that kept me gripped all the way through x
Having suffered years of abuse at the hands of her religious mother, Kate Bridgewater dreams of a better life away from home.
When Kate decides to run away from home after meeting Adam, it soon becomes clear that this is not the ‘hippy lifestyle’ she thought it was going to be.
Detective Steve Coleman is put on the case when a body is found and the pathologist informs him that this isn’t the first body found like this one. Having just met Dee, Steve needs to keep a happy medium between work and play.
What a story! I loved the character Livia, she’s so kind and eager to help Kate in any way she can. Damon was pure evil, I loathed his character and his ways.
This is a dark and truly twisted tale but a gripping story that haunted me for a while after finishing it. I’m hoping that there will be more stories with Detective Steve though.
