Brooke’s life could be measured in blood. The blood of her patients in the ER. The blood of her comatose mother, whom she’s desperately trying to awaken. And the blood in the bags she frequently delivers from storage to those who need it. When she’s attacked by supernatural raiders in the storage room one night, and rescued by a sexy stranger equally as inhuman, she realizes how precious a commodity blood truly is—especially hers.
After the mysterious disappearance of the raiders and her rescuer, Brooke begins to doubt her sanity. But when the same handsome rogue saves her from a second attack, she demands answers. Liam says he’s a vampire, and he’s protecting her from the vampire blood cartel who discovered during the raid that she’s a Fount, a human with highly addictive blood. Together they go on the run, stoking the fire between them that sparked when he first saved her.
But vampires aren’t the only ones who want Brooke for her blood. There are other creatures with far more devious intentions. Will Brooke become a blood cow for the vampire cartel, or be forced into an ancient fae fox hunt? Or can the sprouting love between her and Liam save them both?
By day, Tricia is a full time mom to two beautiful toddler girls and a wife/business partner to a handsome hard-working husband. By night--and nap times--she writes unique and thrilling young adult fantasies inspired by her vivid, somewhat creepy dreams and her own adventures around the world.
This is a prequel to the first book in the Fae underworld series and an introduction to the mating games. The aforementioned is a televised tradition where eligible Fae regents choose between a group of special humans called founts in a sport named the mating games. These Founts then compete to land the prince or princess of their preference their pure blood carries chi something the Fae feed on and a child from this union of Fae and Fount will be powerful indeed.
In this short prequel, we meet Brooke a nurse and Liam a vampire. When he rescues her from a vampire attack at the hospital where she works it sets in motion a chain of events which see not only the vampire mafia but the Fae council after Brooke. One for her addictive blood and the other as a potential breeder and future queen for Fae royalty.
This has an open-ended finish and the events of this lead into the first book in the series. It was imaginative and intriguing but the short length definitely impacted the story as it did feel at times a bit too fast-paced. It was well written but the bond between Brooke and Liam I’m not totally convinced by and I do think that’s mostly because of a lack of build-up and greater detail which for me impacted the story slightly. Still, I’m definitely very interested and intrigued about what’s to come next so will be continuing on with this. This also manages to do an excellent job of introducing us to the world that’s to come.
Its a quick read. There are multiple words misspelled. At one point it describes four things and in the next sentence says there was only three. Just needs someone to proof read and make small edits.
Seduced by Sunset is a phenomenal start to a brand new world. Seduced by Sunset is the beginning of The Mating Games and an introduction to the Fae Underworld. Seduced by Sunset tells how the mating games began.
Seduced by Sunset is a vampire story with a unique and interesting twist. Seduced by Sunset tells how and why Brooke became a nurse. She became a nurse to take care of people but wait that is not quite the truth no Brooke became a nurse so she could take care of her comatose mother.

Prequel to a series on a game the vampire blood cartel holds for unwedded fae regents. They find these rare humans they call “founts” and use them for their feed but also to wed them off to create hybrids.
Brooke, an ER nurse, is working her shift one night and making her way to the blood bank to grab a few bags. While there a few men break in and take some bags and she encounters Liam, a vampire governor. Liam bites her but instead of killing her, he saves her and wishes her memory, or so he thinks. She’s clearly a fount.
She can’t stop thinking of him and vice versa and so he finds her at a diner and they get hot and heavy….well, the blood cartel finds her and in turn finds him as well. They take her away but Liam won’t go down that easy. He intends on playing in this mating game in order to win her back.
I liked it, short to the point and a good start off for this series. I think where it fell short for me is I don’t feel convinced these two hit it off. He bit her, she can’t stop thinking about him blah blah. Typical and not enough heat for me. I’ll definitely give this series a shot, maybe it gets better!
Wow, this book was the quickest waste of an hour that I've ever experienced. The spelling errors were scattered throughout the novella itself, to an almost unreadable level, and the pacing was pure garbage. There was a severe lack of detailed plotline and motivation from the beginning and it only seemed to get worse as time went on. I'm a person who very much enjoys vampires, and vampire romance stories, but this truly felt like a poor rip off of the Twilight Saga in a way that was wholly insurmountable.
This book honestly gave me the ick in so many scenes. I should have DNF’d but it was just so freaking short so I stuck with it. The ending was honestly so predictable honestly the entire book was predictable. It was like a weird mix of twilight and literally every single other supernatural/vampire book written by a not that well known author. I’m so glad I got this book for free because I honestly wouldn’t have picked it up if it were not for that. Sorry author but you’ve also got to triple check your grammar and spelling cause I reported quite a few mistakes throughout the book.
Brooke is a nurse in the ER but spends as much time as she can in the ICU where her mom is in a coma she has been for years now. One of the nurses asked her to bring up some blood bags, so she headed to the refrigerated storage room. Suddenly two men smash through the door behind her. They killed an orderly and then one of them approaches her. Then he bites her neck! She feels herself dying when suddenly the man is torn away from her. She sees 3 men fighting at a blurry speed. Two run away while the third man turns to her. He’s gorgeous and her eyes stay on him as his fangs drop down. But he bites his own hand and presses it against her bleeding neck. Her whole life changes when she meets a vampire in the blood bank. He orders her to forget – but she doesn’t.
After the thieves disappear, Brooke isn’t sure if her memories are real or not. She can’t tell the hospital or they would put her in a psych ward and never let her see her mom. But when the handsome stranger who saved her has to come to her rescue again, she demands to know what is going on. Liam introduces himself and tells her she is a “Fount” and a vampire blood cartel wants her rare addictive blood. And other supernaturals will want it as well and will stop at nothing to capture her. Can Liam save her from a horrible situation? Or would he fight against having to choose that final step that cannot be undone?
The attack in the hospital blood bank leaves Brooke alive but reeling. If she tells her boss the attackers were vampires, they will put her in a mental ward. Besides, she has no proof because the bite marks on her neck disappeared almost instantly so now she is on a mandatory three-day leave from her job at the hospital. Normally she is there all the time but for the next three days, she can only go there to visit her mother who is in a coma. To make matters worse she is sure someone is stalking her. Have the vampires come back to finish the job?
This is an excellent introductory book with some intense steam, but it is way too short and it ends in a giant cliffhanger. I received an advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary. This should be a good series!
This is where Liam, a Governor for the Vampires meets Brooke, a nurse. He saves her from being killed by a vampire who is stealing blood from the hospital. Then when the vampires go after her because of her blood type he rescues her again. It is when the fae attack her that he bargains with them. This does end in a cliffhanger and we have to wait to see if he saves her again. A very fast paced story the kept my attention and was easy to read. Now I will have to wait for the second book to see what will happen next.

Seduced by Sunset is a story surrounding by supernatural politics, handsome supernatural beings, and a tug and war for blood. Yep, right up my alley. This story was short and I felt like it could have been longer. Not to mention a few things seemed like it didn't add up. For example, I was not sure where Liam feed her his blood and I made sure to reread to see if I missed it. So I do believe it needs a look through. Plus, I would be very happy if it was extended. The was quite intriguing for a prequel.
Brooke is a nurse at the hospital where her mother is in a coma. While getting blood out of refrigerated storage there is a break in, and blood is stolen. She is saved by a vampire (Liam) from the supernatural beings she can't believe she is witnessing. Now she is being stalked by the vampire, what will happen next? The prequel is attention grabbing, fast paced, a great lead in for the coming main story!

Brooke who is a nurse who works in the ER while keeping a close watch on her mother who is in a coma, comes in contact with two thieves robbing the blood bank when a mysterious third man joins in to save her.
Liam - a mysterious man who has a few secrets to reveal, handsome and seductive and Brooke can’t forget even when compelled.
Enjoyable start that leads to intrigue about the Mating Games. Will be adding the rest of the series to my list to look further into.
I have already read Book 1 of The Mating Games, but it was nice to go back and read how Brooke and Liam came to 'be' together.
This is a short read, but you get a good setup if you haven't already read Book 1 of The Mating Games. If you have, you still see how Liam comes to be in the games and how Brooke gets taken, with Liam, and to the games.

A well written book! Brook was a nurse and working where her mother lay in bed in a coma. Her life changed so much in a short time span and things Brook was going through was way over the top of living! Execution of words make this books performance the top of the line. Good reading but a cliff hanger.
All her life seems to turn about blood, her patients and everything else. She is attacked while transporting blood and she is then rescued. He is not human and she is about to be pulled into a world she did not know existed. What is going to happen? How will she deal with it all? See what will happen.

I loved Brooke and Liam so much! I flew through all the chapters like it was nothing because I was that hooked on the story! It left me on the edge of my seat I was so invested in what was happening. This story was mind blowing and epic I can’t wait to read Taken by Twilight next!.
Beautiful story. Seen couple misspelled word but other than that I really enjoyed the book. Just upset because the second one isn't out yet. I'll have to find something else to read.
Interesting prequel that has me excited for the rest of this series! I enjoy the scenario of someone just finding out about the paranormal world and having a handsome paranormal come into her life; Brooke is attacked, but is saved by vampire Liam. Fun action and danger!
Wow! It started exciting and very promising then I got bored with Brooke's love sick monologue but the it got super exciting with that cliffhanger. Now I'm super excited to find out about the mating games.
Good for a prequel but still... Could have used a little more if I am completely honest. I may still check out the series, even though 3rd person is not my preferred reading, but probably later
I liked it but I didn’t. I just got it in one of the stuff your kindle days so I got it for free and so yeah. It was short enough I finished it but yeah it was just iffy. Not really my cup of tea. Plus there were a bunch of typos.
1-1.5 stars-—ish. Just when i discovered i am not for novellas, I picked this up. Writing is good because it was easy to speed through it but I am so confused. Idk if the purpose of this book is to introduce me to the series or give me sex scenes 😭
