This is a difficult series to sum up because of its odd mix of bitter and sweet. Kokoro's situation is untenable and should never have happened and the selfishness on the part of the adults is all the worse for what it does to her. But the solace she finds in her fantasies is sweet, and I love the way in which the story is told. I suspect this will be a series that won't really allow a firm opinion until it ends.

“Experiencing your genius was such a treat today, Amami. Won’t you daydream with me again?”

Still really really cute, in ways that I don't expect to find appealing, and yet I found myself giggling and smiling to myself so many times. Not all of the commentary really hits the mark, and sometimes I don't love the direction that the short stories go. (The one where the woman decides that no, she will not in fact quit smoking, and it's framed almost triumphantly, was a very ?_? moment for me.) But the manga as a whole has so much heart and love and joy, and it truly does make me happy to see these girls expressing their feelings through art, and dreaming up lesbians. Kokoro's soft rebellion. <3 But I like the ways the plot is moving as well. I don't think I'll ever care about the fiancé, but seeing him through Asahina's eyes was really interesting. CLEARLY what he needs to do is stop waiting for this girl to turn 18 so he can marry her, and instead fuck his male best friend. Obviously.

Also there were some really cute Amami and Kokoro moments, and I melted. ;~;

Very interested in where the plot is going so I'll continue soon!

The couples that Kokoro and Amami encounter in this volume are adult couples so there are some sexual situations that come up, but nothing that would need to be plastic wrapped.
The intrigue with Kokoro's situation continues as we get more insight into her life. Especially as we're given privy to a little more of her past and her relationship with her father and her soon to be groom. The intrigue and character relations are definitely keeping me excited for the next volume.

Something I wasn't too much of a fan of, that dropped this from a 4 to a 3 star, is the fact that like a 1/4 of this volume is two chapters of a side story with characters that don't appear in the main story. The story itself was cute, but took up too much of the volume imo

Liked it less than the first volume, but still amazing.

I love how in that one chapter with the two women working in the café, the costumers saw the chemistry and were like "why don't you get together already?" XD

I also love how the stories they daydream, help them in their life too. For example, when they saw two girls and made up a story that they wanted to move in together, but needed to talk to their parents first. This helped Kokoro talking to her father too, because the girl in her story did that and therefore got a happy ending.

~

I don't really like the new member of the art club much, but I do get her way of thinking (unlike Kokoro).

I also don't like the guy Kokoro has to marry and the best friend of the art club teacher, but it is nice that he's planning to quit smoking, just because Kokoro doesn't like smoke. <3

4 stars. What a ride. We got a lot more emotional character moments in this one which I appreciated. There’s a lot of unrequited love going on so I’m sure this series is going to get super angsty about it and I’m excited. I’m thoroughly enjoying this thus far.

2.5 stars - I liked volume two less than volume one. I enjoy the short stories of the side couples, but I have only a passing interest in the overarching plot so I think I'm going to put this series down.

I feel like I enjoyed this more than the first installment, but I think it's because there were less depressive chapters than the first lol. I still can't get a full grasp of how I feel about it. I think this is one I'm going to have to read all the installments before I give a true review.

There is no romance happening between the two characters I'd like it to happen for & the cishet grooming portion is ughhh.
