Jake Gilbert is a mess. He chose to work in Boston because he couldn’t bear to be too far from the guy he’s been in love with for four years. But that’s only made things worse. He could say something. He could tell the truth. After all, who knows if his feelings will be reciprocated? He could have this totally wrong.
There’s another alternative. What if he’s right? Where does that leave Jake? In an even bigger mess, that’s where.
Marcus’s boyfriend Seb told him to follow his heart. Now all Jake has to do is find the courage to do that.

i still don't understand the negative biases against cousins in a relationship. i get the worry over health complications, but i'm myself from a culture where cousins together is actually favourite.
loved how marcus and seb were very supportive and helped him when his family turned their back on them. it's a novella so of course the pace is fast. i enjoyed it nonetheless.
I love the way that KC's books help you expand your feelings on what love is and how love really is love. I also love that the reactions of the relatives seemed natural and real. Great short story that is part of the Maine Men's world.
We finally find out who Jake’s secret crush is and it probably should have stayed secret. This author really likes to write slightly problematic content lol!
