Sequel to Wolfy

Trauma and heartache have followed Arran his whole life. Raised by wolf hunters, he was lucky to escape Washington State and that life at his first chance. Becoming a liaison between wolf packs and hunters across the United States was Arran's way of healing his soul from what he'd seen his family do.

A decade ago, he met Marek, the alpha son of a small pack in Montana. The pair quickly realized they were mates, fell in love, and had plans for a future where Arran being a liaison would make a real difference. But then, everything changed when Marek had to step up as the Alpha.

Since that day, Arran has been running from his past, solving problems for other people while his mating bite throbs in time with his broken heart. He's had lovers, but everyone who sees the scar on his wrist knows that he belongs to another.

Fresh off one job, Arran receives a late-night call from Marek's wife -- his replacement -- begging for help, and there's nothing he can do but head back to the Alpha he never wanted to face again. Not after he learns that the events from New Mexico are connected to what's happening to Marek's pack. Someone is threatening two packs he's been involved with, and that can't be ignored.

Showing up on Marek's doorstep is its own complication with plenty of surprises in store for both men. Not only does Arran have secrets from his hunter past, but Marek has been bearing his own all these years. Old hurts and new revelations mix in a cocktail of hurt and comfort as the pack figures out how to move forward and be happy again.

Tia Fielding is a Finnish author who loves witty people, words, peppermint, sarcasm, autumn, and the tiny beautiful things in life.

Tia identifies as genderqueer but isn’t strict about pronouns. Why? Because luckily, in her native language there aren’t gender-specific pronouns.

These days, preferring to live in the middle of nowhere with her fur babies is as big of a part of her psyche as writing. Tia likes to recharge in nature and tends to watch where she’s going through her cell phone’s camera.

In 2013 Tia’s novel Falling Into Place was recognized by the industry’s Rainbow Awards in the Best LGBT Erotic Romance (Bobby Michaels Award) category.

In 2019, her novel Four (Love by Numbers #2) won a Rainbow Award in the Best Transgender Contemporary category.

Arran first made an appearance in Wolfy, the first book in the Wolfy series, though you don’t need to have read the previous book to follow this one. Arran is arrogant and cocky because yes, he is just that damned good. The son of hunters, he endured a brutal training that has helped him survive in a world that isn’t always kind to gay humans, and packs that can’t quite forget who his father and grandfather were. But Arran shrugs that off and does his best to make up for the harm they caused by doing good.

The writing is good, the pace is good, and the world building only continues to grow from the first book, but I’m just not feeling the characters this time around. At least, not Marek and Arran. The kids were rather charming (and not overdone). This author has a talent for doing children who are both adorable and age appropriate. If you read and enjoyed the first book, you’ll probably enjoy this one. This is just one of those books I wish I had enjoyed more.

Nice second chance romance. Really felt for Arran and liked Hedy and the kids, especially Aspen.
Not sure I would have forgiven Marak as easily but then I've never been in that kind of situation. Kind of wish there were more to the 'pack', might have made Marak's choices years ago a little more understandable to me.
I would like to see more in this world, maybe Kyler's story.

Arran is the second book in the Wolfy series by author Tia Feilding. I loved this story. Mareck is the perfect man for Arran. I loved the emotional intensity of this book. Really kept me turning the pages. I do suggest reading these books in order for me it helped set up the I guess politics of the book. I like when stories world builds as well as tell a romance and this one I would say does that.

Arran has had a lot of bad things happen in his life. The man he thought was his mate married a woman. He rides a motorbike and is just drifting through life right now.

I loved his heart; he is a kind sweet guy at heart.

Mareck has had to do a lot of things he would rather not have to do to be Alpha. But when he gets a second chance at love he cannot say no to it.

I loved that he is responsible and kind. He knows who he is and will take on the duty that entails.

Overall, a great story. Lots of twists and turns I did not see coming. I am looking forward to the next book in this series and see what happens next.

I really enjoyed this book the biggest thing I disliked was instead of getting a flashback the main characters kind of said the past in a dialogue which I found sort of awkward? I can’t not wait for the next book

Good story

This is the sequel to Wolfy and hinges on the human character from that book who was mated but abandoned by his mate and married a woman. I liked the way the author resolved the obstacles to their mating and the suspense and action that was another arc

Great Wolfy story

I liked how the story was told. I like the genre and the fact that it was more than just sex scenes. It saddens me that the author felt the need to single out chick fil a.
PS, I think Aspen is my favorite 🐺.
Looking forward to book 3

Adored these guys

This book falls under the ‘geez guys just have a conversation’ sort of books, but I fell in love with the characters and was 100% along for the ride.

Bond denial, which is * chef’s kiss * We also get a ace spectrum side character, which I thought was interesting . . . hadn't seen something like that in a modern day book, but the shifter pack dynamics in this made it make sense in a way. (CW: There is use of the word ‘cripple’, including by the character who is disabled. In the third book, that word is interrogated more.)

Lovely

I really enjoyed the second part of this series. The characters were interesting and well developed. It was nice to see Arran find his HEA. I wonder if Stefan will also get a book.
