Sweet & Breathtaking Story
I was quite astonished to find that this is Guzaarish's debut work. I'm blown away by the masterfully written slow burn, tension, twisted love triangle, and painful heartbreak. Anayra finds it hard to choose between two guys, and the author describes it so perfectly that I found it difficult to pick between one and another to let go. The guys are that perfect.
Anayra is manipulated by a friend to help her escape her wedding. But circumstances twist, and she marries a stranger. Now that she's fled from the scene, all she wants is to keep her secret of being the bride to herself for the rest of her life. Years later, she bumps into her husband again and gets offered a job in his company. They are trying to move on from the day they were bound together but strangely find solace with each other. When Anayra's charming past enters into the present, which not only helps Anayra flee from her marriage but also supports her, protects her, and loves her for years. Anayra isn't brave enough to admit the truth about her marriage to her husband, and she's certainly not ready to lose the one person who meant everything to her—her bully. When love divides into three persons, one must take a step back, be hurt, and pay the price to make it equal and everlasting, but chaos is inevitable.
First and foremost, I love Anayra, an orphaned, chubby, geeky college girl who is always willing to help everyone, especially the old and mature version of herself. Her character's growth is simply breathtaking. I adore her sweet relationship with Ahaan, as well as the building of her relationship with Aryan. The modern view of the book is impeccable, with a royal and traditional Indian touch.
Aryan is hard to resist with his alpha-male controlling attitude and flirty mouth. He is the ideal son, brother, and possessive, totally swoon-worthy guy. I had a hard time putting down the book. The novel flows in such a way that it drowns you in it instantly. I laugh in some parts, cry in others, and break with the effect of heartbreak and healing. The romance and chemistry between them are so powerful that it's difficult not to crave it.
Oh my goodness! Ahaan, he is a heartthrob and a rebel. I wasn't sure what to make of him at first, but as I learned more about him, I fell more in love with him, and he earned a place in my heart. I was looking forward to reading about his every interaction, his side of the story, and his parting words are still echoing in my head. Purvi is bold and sassy, but at the same time, too vulnerable. The whole book feels like a movie story, and now I am dying to read the next book.

Twisted Knot is Guzaarish’s debut novel and it was fabulous.
This book is a high angst love triangle romance, making it a very interesting read. I was torn between who I wanted Anayra to end up with, but the author did an amazing job planting seeds here and there and before I knew it, I was rooting for the right guy and I genuinely believed that he was the best choice.
You can tell how much of the author’s heart was poured into this book. This novel is infused with beautiful Indian culture and tradition that made me want to visit the country soon. I literally spent hours upon hours of watching Bollywood clips afterwards.
Overall, TWISTED KNOT is an amazing debut and if you love reading a very convincing/slow-burn love triangle with a touch of beautiful and colorful culture, then I highly recommend this book. It’s also a plus that our heroine is a kick-ass character who’s been through a lot but never losing hope. I wanna be friends with her IRL.
This was a great change from the steamy-kind of books I love and what a breath of fresh air.

I was completely swept off my feet and into the colorful wedding celebrations in Indian Culture, the scenery, religion, and family. Combine that with heartache, a love triangle, and healing, this was a GEM of a book.
Anayra grows up in an orphanage, and she is beyond worth it. At times she may have felt hopeless, but her faith and love, her hope really pushed her through. A beautiful, curvy, nerd, who thought she could just disappear, but how could she think that? When she was so selfless. When all she wanted to do was help others and reach her dreams. Someone like that shines brightly, she just has to recognize that for herself. Loving yourself is the biggest affirmation you can give yourself, and when she captures two brother’s hearts. I couldn’t put it down.
Fate, ahah fate is like a character in this book. Fate had a heavy hand in tying knots, twisting our emotions, and pushing us to choose.
Ahaan, is a rebel. I fell for him, he was so mean and yet, he wouldn’t let anyone be mean to her. Twisted right? Another knot! The more that was revealed about him, the harder I fell. I loved their interactions, and in some ways, I think he helped push her to be tough, to fight.
“I found love in her. A girl who was invisible to the eyes of others.”
Aryan, is the “good” son. In control and works hard. Under his shell, and all the coffee he drinks, and when he isn’t firing employees lol I fell for him too.
“One more thing.”He leaned in, whispering in my ears, “You look beautiful in this sari. Just like I thought you would.”
Another knot! That moment made me pause and cry.
Because like his brother, they are loyal and protective, and so damn passionate over Anayra.
Ahaan and Aryan are her mirrors affirming her beauty inside and out. It’s a slow burn, that’s charming, and I smiled so big at some parts, and teared up at others. I appreciated that slow burn, the chemistry, and the attention they gave her, made it so romantic. I appreciate the values and traditions. And I can’t wait for the next book, because if you know you know! They are going to be something else.

This was my first ARC reading and I was so excited!
This book was a fun read! It is a love triangle, slow burn romance.
I love that Anayra is a smart, curvy woman. She has a caring heart and wants to do right by those around her.
Aryan will keep you blushing with his dirty talk ☺️ He had the "She's mine" attitude that will make you swoon.
I really enjoyed reading about the different culture and looking up what certain things in the book looked like.
If you like a good love triangle, slow burn, different cultures, possessive (in the best way) male...check this book out!

ARC PROVIDED FOR HONEST REVIEW
Aryan is fabulous!!!! I don't think anybody could resist Aryan Rajput, at least I couldn't. Even if not for Aryan, the book was a one sit read. I finished the book in one night and the way she has written the characters, I'm in love with each one of them. The flow of the novel was so good that I got drowned in it.
I'm looking forward to the next book and I don't think I can wait.

My First Desi book for the year and really loved it. Guzaarish had really done best job with her debut novel. The characters were all captivating. Without giving spoilers, I am gonna say I'm glad I rooted for right guy to end up with Ann.
Anayra was realistic character which made me connect with her more. She was kind, naive. She has her own insecurities and Guzaarish really showed Anayra struggle and how she felt lonely being orphan. All she wanted was to be independent and feel loved.
Aryan and Ahaan, Both the brothers are two sides of coins. One is grumpy, love his family to death while other is carefree and gets everything he wanted. They both had loved Anayra the way she is, I loved them more for it.
Purvi was that one friend whom you need in your life. I loved her bold, sassy, no s*it giving attitude. I can't wait to read her book soon.

Once upon a time, there were three hearts. One loved the orphaned heart in disguise, and another one was to fall for that same heart through divine intervention. They were meant to intertwine with each other in ways that would break one of the three. For fate, never plays fair.
Like another reviewer said, "Fate is like a character in this book. Fate had a heavy hand in tying knots, twisting our emotions, and pushing us to choose."
And oh, the knots these three hearts become tied together with! Like vines they curl around each other more with each twist and turn fate throws their way. And like night follows the day, as inevitable is the painful aftermath of when the knots are cut open, because it will leave one of them bleeding.
In her life, Anayra has always felt like she is not good enough, pretty enough, smart enough. Having gone through similar phases in life, I can relate to her so much; for the desire to become invisible, when no one wants you, is familiar. Escaping within oneself, to the fortress of your mind, is a method of survival and Anayra's armor against her bullies. She hides her curvy figure under baggy clothes and blends into the shadows. Growing up an orphan is lonely, but little does she know, one heart has followed hers for years.
Like a sponge, Anayra devours any piece of kindness shown to her and being a loyal heart, she cannot refuse a cry for help, when a friend asks her assistance in fleeing a marriage. As the stand-in-bride she goes through the motions until suddenly realizing she is married to a stranger and barely makes it out before her identity is revealed.

Holy fricking heck how he has my loins quivering...!! The dirty talk and the dominance mixed with animalistic attraction one ravishing love story makes!! It needs to be said, that this story is best enjoyed in privacy and with a cool beverage, for the steam between them will leave you gasping for breath!!

The writer weaves such a complex web of emotions and sensual suspense, it was impossible to see beforehand which one of the hearts laid down at her feet at the end, would she choose. The love triangle is a labyrinth of emotions that keeps you guessing, every twist and turn unexpected, the need to solve the mystery keeping you at the edge of your seat!
There's suspense, there's steam, there is a love triangle like I have never experienced before! The language is rich and filled with flavors that have you seeing colors. I adored the way the writer described the wedding traditions, for it allows the reader to really immerse themselves into the culture! I loved all the emotional growth in the character arches, for it made the happy ending that much more satisfying, the happiness was so well deserved.
This debut novel is a beautiful diamond sparkling in the author's quiver no doubt full of surprises for us yet to find out about...! Like a cupid she shoots those arrows of love with accuracy that has us falling in love with the characters. The heat is building, the plot is thickening, and the hearts become irrevocably intertwined...

What a debut!
I am surprised that I liked this as much as I did. When it comes to romances, I am usually only a fan of super smutty reads, dark romances, or the occasional hockey romantic comedy. This one was none of those, but I couldn’t put it down. Several times, I said to myself, “Okay here is a good stopping point.” Only to pick up within 5 or 10 mins and start again.
I haven’t read many books that center around the Hindi faith, or Indian Culture as a whole, so that was a new experience. It was interesting learning about the traditional customs and how they fit into a more Westernized society/era as well.
Twisted Knot is a very slow-burn story that centers around Anayra and her growth from a bullied college student, to a strong, independent woman. The nerdy, naïve, orphan, chubby girl is always the butt of the joke.
When Anayra runs into her ‘husband’ again, can she own up to her mistakes and tell him the truth? Or will she hide behind her long-lasting insecurities and keep lying to him?
Not only is this a story of choosing between two loves, but also choosing to love yourself.
I would recommend this book to those who like a good love triangle story, like to read about different cultures, and appreciate a slow-burn.
I do tend to like my reads super spicy and this one, wasn't that spicy at all. It did have some pretty good dirty talk though.

"Self-love, how deprecated it may sound, was an important ingredient for a happy life."I enjoyed reading about a culture that is so vastly different from my own. It made it a little difficult to put myself in the shoes of the FMC, but that’s not a deal breaker in the slightest.
I would recommend this book to those who like a good love triangle story, like to read about different cultures, and appreciate a slow-burn.

I don't even where to begin. The emotional roller-coaster that was this book. One decision intertwined three hearts. From the start I knew I was going to be in for a ride. There was just something about these characters and their story that hit close to home. The author really captured to perfect emotional turmoil when it comes to unrequited love. I love the fact that the characters were open with their sexuality. Besides that, this story made my laugh, made me tear up (because nothing hurts more than not having your love returned), made me think about certain aspects of the characters life. Aryan was by far my favorite, he was sassy, flirty and so direct. He knew what he wanted and he was going to get it, no matter the cost. For a debut book, this story was well written. I can't wait to see what is in store for the next characters.

What I loved is that story never gets boring,it's a roller-coaster of emotions. A well defined game of destiny, whose pawn are Aryan, Ahaan and Anayra😍
There are times when you just want to stop reading and catch your breath. I enjoyed every chapter, off course these three weren't expressive which caused them loss of time but Still I enjoyed it's every chapter, and lost my heart in this piece of art🥲😍🤌

Debut novel?! Well all I can say is wow!! I enjoyed this story and the characters so much! It’s the first time I’ve read a book with Indian characters, and it makes me want to read more! I enjoyed reading and learning about the culture as I went.
I really love love triangles and watching the situation unravel, and see who ends up with the girl! This book evoked so many emotions, and the angst was perfect.
My heart went out to Anayra because she has such a big heart and tries to protect everyone. She is a little naive, and cautious about who she lets in while craving the feeling of being needed and loved. Ahaan made me mad. I really love love triangles and watching the situation unravel, and see who ends up with the girl! This book evoked so many emotions, and the angst was perfect.
My heart went out to Anayra because she has such a big heart and tries to protect everyone. She is a little naive, and cautious about who she lets in while craving the feeling of being needed and loved. Ahaan made me mad. A very pleasant surprise. Delving into a world/culture that I was unfamiliar with was brought to life in this book.
Anayra is an orphan who is at university in India when she finds herself bound/married to a man - Aryan - when she decides to help her friend escape an abusive father and marry her true love. She “escapes” and two years later finds herself working for her husband who doesn’t know she was the girl under the veil. But he’s still attracted to her and she to him.
These two are fun together. He is the stereotypical controlling alpha who will do anything to get what he wants. In this case - her. She may be not worldly but she can be strong willed despite past insecurities.
The story started off slow but once things got rolling. I was hooked. There is a little bit of a triangle involving his brother but its not a major player. It is a slow burn but so not an issue.

Twisted Knot started with a bang! In an attempt to help her only friend Anayra Roy agrees to do that unthinkable- temporarily pretend to be the bride during the sacred ceremony of a Hindu wedding. It so was interesting to learn about a different culture I love the diversity in a novel and this one really represents it all. Also, I am not much a big fan of a love triangle but, I have a thing about brothers falling in love with the same woman that’s one of my kryptonite. I am trying my very best not to give away any spoilers however I am clearly failing here so I better shut up. This was a captivating read I had trouble putting it down so desperate to know what will happen next. It was also the slowest burn I have read but really I don’t mind I was so engrossed where the story will take me. Read this if you love diversity, love triangle, and alpha men we hate to love.

Anarya (Ann) takes the place of her friend during a wedding she couldn't follow through with. But being the curvy, nerdy girl, society has taught her she isn't good enough. So when the situation turns hostile, she runs. But later on she runs back in to her husband, and he doesn't plan on letting her get away again.
I loved getting to read an Indian romance, and seeing the culture represented within it. Ann was a great character who needed to learn self love and see herself as worthwhile. Aryan was surpring for me. He had his marriage upturned and went with Ann when he got the chance. I loved the two together and how he kind of showed her to love her body.
The dialogue needed some work. The way characters talked didn't feel natural and it was a little choppy in many places. If the dialogue had flowed better, this could have been a five star read.

I loved Twisted Knot, it was such a lovely romance/love triangle! I didn’t know who to root for in terms of Ahaan and Aryan. They’re really both sweet guys who genuinely love Anayra and I felt like she would have been happy with either. I loved where the story ended though and who she ended up with, I think that was the best choice for her. Anayra was a really innocent and pure FMC, ultimately she was the one I was pulling for the most of course. I especially enjoyed reading about Indian culture, I haven’t read a story like this before and I thought it was wonderful. I'm hoping to read about the “other brother” next!

The different perspective of culture takes us into a world that we're not used to, opening our eyes to things we take for granted. My soul was run through the entire spectrum of feelings. The author has crafted beyond relatable characters in a world that makes you feel you're right there with them, experiencing their pain, their joy and every little thing in between. I couldn't put this book down! It was amazing! I started this book super late at night and unfortunately stayed up WAY past the time I should have to finish it. Aryan Rajput is a fantastic love interest. He is everything you want in a book boyfriend. Anayra is definitely naive, but she is also strong and makes sure that her goals get completed. She is brilliant and doesn't let fear get in her way. Can't wait to see what else Guzaarish does with these characters.

Hmmm...where do I start?
Maybe from the Indian traditions or the NAZAKAT Anayra has? The intimacy, the bromance, reading words like 'basanti' and 'gabbar singh', it was an amazing experience, reading this book. By 6th chapter I was pretty much in love with this book. All the characters, they were all so amazing. Especially the scene at Aryan's house party, with Purvi and those bitches.
The slow yet steady build up of the relationship between Aryan and Anayra. The heartbreak. Everything was perfect, I absolutely cannot wait for Aahan's story.
I know it's gonna be amazing.

Extremely likeable characters. Adorable relationships. Passionate romance. Emotional rollercoaster of a read. I was feeling the characters' dilemma the whole time. The power and appeal of forbidden relationships... Wow... Just wow! And to think Guzarrish is debuting with this novel...

I enjoyed the twisting ride this book took me on. A curvy leading lady? Not often found in books. I enjoyed reading about Indian culture. Anayra is a relatable FMC who ends up with the right guy at the end.. but it takes some work on both their parts.

Good read
One of best parts of reading is living other lives through characters. This did a beautiful job giving a look into a love story in a very different culture from my own which was an amazing experience. I love Anayra as she is the kind of heroine I want to befriend. This is a love triangle although that isn't the main plot. I liked both guys but my heart broke for the one especially. Really enjoyed.

This is my first book form this author and won’t be my last . This book will draw you in and keep you captivated right through till the end. If you like good love triangle, slow burn, and different cultures then this book is for you . I don’t want to give much away. I am definitely looking forward to read more books form this author .

Okay so let me start by staying I am not always a fan of love triangles, they are messy, heartbreaking and painful to see unfold.. all of that is no lie within this book either however I KNEW about it before stepping in. I was as ready as one could be.. or so I thought 😆it’s safe to say I wanted to put this book in freezer and lock the door but only surprisingly at one bit, but instead I lay in bed reading it with tears in my eyes (someone must have been cutting an onion I wasn’t aware of)
This book is so beautifully written, I just couldn’t look away! I am probably going to babble cause well by now you know me but I am trying my best to give you an insight without spoilers. Slow burn, culturally beautiful and what a gem!
In this book we meet Anayra, Aryan and Ahaan. All of whom are twisted up in the cruel game that fate can play. Fate itself in this book is a character all of its own, it was beautiful, cruel, heartbreaking and so filled with love.
Anayra is the most beautiful souls I have ever ‘met’, which is how she finds herself in this situation in the first place. She married to save a friend, she loves fully and without question. The only problem lays with those she has given her heart to, one a bully who ultimately loves her and doesn’t know how to show it as himself.. so he indeed finds away, to be everything she needs without letting her know. One a husband she never planned to have, choose to run from but could never forget.
I fell so deeply in love with Aryan and completely adored reading his POV. He is powerful, demanding, loving and unforgettable! He looks for his wife for such a long time, without letting his family know. He wants to make it work and is willing to do whatever it takes.. until he meets a new beauty, but is she indeed new? Will be discover the truth?
Ahaan has such a soft spot in my heart that I couldn’t help but love him. Misunderstood in a way, scared in another. He did wrong but wants to do right. He is broken, lost and indeed in love. Will he have his love in the end? Will secrets come to light?

Lovely Enjoyable Story ❤
'Twisted Knot' by the author Guzaarish is an entertaining, romantic, filmy and a lovable love story. It was a beautiful and enjoyable read for me.
The title of this story is absolutely perfect. The lives of all the main characters, the various incidents in their lives, all their emotions, are all twisted in a big knot together. The author slowly releases each of these knots one by one, and a beautiful story unfolds.
I generally do not pick up a love triangle to read, since they turn out to be too angsty, but I actually liked this love triangle story. Yes it was angsty but enjoyable too.
My utmost favourite character was the hot and se*y Aryan, I really loved him. Reading his POVs were my favourite parts in the book. I loved Anayra's character too. I was able to connect with her character very well. Purvi was definitely a force to be reckoned with. I liked her.
I was not a huge fan of Ahaan though, yes I know, he did a lot for Anayra, but I could not connect with his character and his twisted way of loving Anayra. It also could be that, I was too much in love with my angry young man Aryan, to care about Ahaan really, so my opinion for his character is totally biased here 😄
This is the first book I have read by the author, and it is hard to believe that this is the author's debut book. It has been penned down really well. I am definitely looking forward to her future books. I recommend this lovely love triangle story to all romance readers ❤

Desi books are one of my favourite kind of books to read. I love how I can relate to it sometimes and it’s such a fun diverse aspect, but unfortunately this book was just awful. I saw this a few times on bookstagram and people made edits of it and by the cover and title and I knew I needed to read this. You can say I really did judge a book by it’s over because I genuinely thought I would fall in love with this.
Growing up I have always watched dramas on StarPlus and this was exactly one of them. This was an exaggeration of them, it was a mixture of them all but worse. I didn’t get no vibes or aesthetic from this book. There was no life and it was always developing around the three people in this book, that it was so exhausting to read. There was nothing wow with it, no culture representation or no family interaction or anything that was desi and fun. It was sad because you could really explore and showcase the beauty of desi life.
At the start of the book, it was so rushed. Sentences were super shot and I felt edge unfinished and just so quick. Things were happening so so fast, I was trying hard to process anything.
I didn’t even know the main female MC, I didn’t know anything about her other than her name. She had nothing good about her. She was bland, boring and just not interesting. The plot was so weird and just too much. So she gets bullied essentially by some dude, Ahaan, who happens to be the brother of the man she eventually marry, who also is in love with her. Like what?!! It was so unnecessary. The two brothers were one of the worst characters I have read about and I have come across a lot of bad people. They had nothing about them.
I was really confused as to who the main male MC was, as in who was the love interest. She gets married to some randomer after her friends fleets her own wedding. I’m sorry but that’s just so unrealistic, and I was confused because that whole backstory of her friends and Aryan, was just such a drag and I don’t think the whole bride switch was even needed. Like who cares?! It could have just been an arrange married or something which would have been so much better instead of this stupid thing. No offence.
They men were weird and the dialogue was soooo cringe. I was getting second hand embarrassment. The princess nickname was so icky because it just wasn’t like him and he said really cringe stuff. Both of them did and I felt so uncomfortable.
There was no attraction, between anyone. Neither Anayra with Ahaan or Ayran. Not to mention how similar the names are, I was getting so confused. Both men acted so childish and weird at times. But there was no romance or tension or anything between them and the female MC. I was waiting and waiting and then realised I’m near the end of the book. The three POVs were so confusing, especially when Ahaan had like five in the whole book, and still we didn’t get anywhere with the plot.
Honestly I have so much to say and could go on for a long time but I’ll stop. This book was disappointing to me and I do hope the next is better. No hate at all to the other this is just my opinions and I’m trying to be as honest as I can.

I could not get enough of this book it was soooo dang good.. I was on such an emotional roller coaster oh my gosh I was laughing one minute & crying the next.. the characters in this book are amazing & I fell in love with all of them 💜

Then there Anayra she’s this beautiful smart super kind woman who I just loved her character & her growth on who she is & self love..
