Checkmate
Life has a way of throwing you curve balls, to test your strength. For Lauren, this seemed to be her life. Kane
First I have to say that I think the author is incredibly talented and I think she will go far on this industry.
I enjoyed the story very much. It flowed very well and kept my interest. I loved me some Kane and Lauren was cool too. I like the relationship she had with her friends and the one she built with Nyla. I wouldn’t mind hearing more from some of the friends.
Now I will say I was expecting more on the suspense side because of the title. Dirt said it but it really didn’t have a real significance. I’m still not quite sure how this fit into the storyline but it was still enjoyable.
I’m looking forward to more from this author in the future

Excellent read
This book was so good. I love this authors writing style. I loved the relationship between Kane and Lauren. I’m glad Lauren got rid of a toxic relationship and leveled up with Kane.

I must admit, I almost didn’t finish this one, as it started a bit slow for me. I put it down for a few days, and when I picked it up the second time, it was smooth sailing from there. I felt for Lauren knowing that her man wasn’t ish, but trying to hang on hoping that he would go back to the man she fell in love with. But, when he showed his true colors, she knew it was game over! Kane, the man with the mean façade, but was a huge teddy bear! He had a lot of anger in his heart dealing with the tragic loss of his daughter's mother, and kept people at arm's length. When Kane and Lauren met, it was like an energy pulled them together! The way they connected and the level of comfort they felt so early, was crazy! I loved Lauren’s sister Bri, and that mouth of hers! Both Kane and Lauren had issue to deal with and were healing, but the bond that they built helped them move past the hurt and find love! Now, this read was not without drama! Jealous backstabbing friends, vindictive exes and crazy family members to name a few. But, the love and support of Kane and Lauren’s group of friends was always there. Enjoyed this! 👍👍👍

WOW IM SHOCKED
This is so different from your first book. I’m not here to put you down but I loved your first book. This book seems like child’s play like you didn’t go deep into the depth of the characters. Like rushed and it seemed like something was missing. I don’t know I just couldn’t get into. I wanted to end this book when I first started reading but kept reading hoping that it would have pulled me in at some point. Unfortunately that never happened I’m very disappointed with this read. Sorry I have to be honest I hated it.

Freaking Absolutely Amazing
This book was soooo good. Just the right balance of craziness and drama but most of all the chemistry and realness between Lauren and Kane exceeded my expectation. They were both the real deal for each other despite the issues they had to overcome individually. Bri is the Best Sister ever I don’t think i have read about a sister that can hold a candle to Bri. Family and Friends were so great and I loved them all. Jazz definitely delivers an amazing read and I can’t wait for what’s next

It’s official, Jazz Moore is now 1 of the authors I will have to stalk Amazon for anticipating new releases! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 This book dropped at the perfect time getting me out of a weekend reading rut. Ren was feisty and I just love her relationship with Bri. Kane was such a good father and friend and just decent in a genre of f boys. Although this was a complete and thorough standalone I wouldn’t mind a spin off.

The story was my first for this author, and I will be back for more. The story involved a former guy from the streets who was forced to being the parent for his baby girl alone. The street side of the story was a mixed bag, but not too gritty. Then there were the backstabbing friends and the other girlfriends drama. I would have liked a little more character fleshing and development for the leading characters. Overall, the story was solid.

Gold Mine Find
Who knew when I came across the first book I was being drawn into a world of relatable characters, written on some grown folk ish?!!
I loved the storytelling How the words flowed and how you saw yourself or some of your village in the characters
I laughed so much I think folks thought I was crazy
I look forward to reading more from Ms. Moore and hopefully some of the other characters will have their stories told

A Real Love that is mature
Ren made the cardinal mistake of getting involved with a significant other and forgetting to take care of your own needs. Rock was a pebble in the emotional support category. What a little boy. Kane was Bae! A man that takes care of home and heart. Ren was a woman that learned to love herself and expect much from a man. She loved sex, was loyal and confident. I enjoyed reading this book!

First book by this author and it was good. Kane's energy with Lauren was a vibe. In a surprise twist on a pretty popular storyline, Lauren's ex Rock did not harass her trying to get her back. Well let clean that up a little bit. He did call and text but he wasn't on some, "if I can't have you nobody can have you" type time. So I enjoyed the story. I liked how Kane handled Lauren. I enjoyed the fight between Lauren and Kane's ex jump-off.

I really enjoyed the book and it was my first book by this author. For me it was 4 1/2 stars. It was well written and I loved that it was a long standalone. I love the meeting between Kane and Lauren and even though the story focused on them, I wanted to know just a little bit more about the others in the book - her sister and her relationships, cousin and Kane's daughter and her relationship.

This book was great. It’s my first read by this author and she didn’t disappoint! I love the fact she focused on the main characters only and still provided a fully thorough book. I don’t have any lingering questions it beautifully wrapped up. I wouldn’t mind hearing about the other people like Bri and Nish.

Very Good
This is my first time reading a book written by this author. It was really good. Lauren wanted a man to only for her. Rock the boyfriend was a community man. He didn't love Lauren like a man should. Meeting Kane was just what she needed. They had chemistry. Their was some drama but it all worked out in the end for Lauren and Kane to live happily ever after.

Good Read... Checkmate!
Our girl Lauren went through it. Frenimies, cheating boyfriends, crazy stalker ex's.
Lauren's and Kane's stories messed so well together. Neither was looking for love but destiny brought them together. This story came with a bag of emotions but both were meant to be. Bravo!

I am impressed! This is my first time reading a book by this author but it sure won’t be the last! Kane was everything! He was a gentleman, thug, father, provider, and friend. The plot was well developed!!!! I loved everything about this one!!

Another good story

Rock was a terrible human!
Im glad Kane and Lauren found each other, it was kind of giving love at first sight until Rock got in the way. But they beat the odds and are now living happily ever after.
