Bounty hunter and expert tracker Lux Branson seeks to escape the nightmares caused by her terrifying encounters with the Sasquatch in Texas.
Now, six weeks later, she’s got a seasonal job in Alaska as a guide for grizzly bear hunters.
While settling into her new gig, Lux is shocked when Dr. Stevens shows up—and challenges her to provide proof of Bigfoot’s existence in the Piney Woods.
Because of the debacle that ensued the last time Dr. Stevens organized an expedition, she doesn't accept his lucrative offer... until he makes her an offer she can’t refuse.
Back in the Piney Woods with a new team, Lux is determined to not repeat the deadly mistakes of the past.
But Lux doesn’t exactly trust the new team members.
And when the expedition takes a terrifying turn, Lux discovers there’s more to fear hear than the Sasquatch.
Will the team survive the perils of the Piney Woods?
Will Lux and her team recover the evidence of the Sasquatch that Dr. Stevens demands?

This one was hastily thrown together. The main characters had little personality and were completely different than the 1st book. Lux, the tracker, didn't know a train ran through the Piney Woods and had taken up smoking! True trackers smoking on a hunt for predators when before she was like smelling the air was just confusing. I almost just returned it but kept hoping. I am going to give the 3rd book a try but if it's like this one, that will be it.
Underscore of romance for the two main characters!! Omg... the Bigfoot have become incredibly creative. This sequel is worth reading for the inventive way to rid humanity of the two who broke Sasquatch 101's rules! I'm at a 'dead-run' to DL the next book! #KTTombs #BigfootwithBrains #Don'tMessWithCemetaries
Seriously. She gets a job as a hunting guide, but is impatient, insulting, and rude to her paying customers. It doesn't matter if they aren't good hunters or note - she has very poor people skills and shouldn't do that job.
Then she meets her new team and starts hating both of them. The woman is understandable, she also is a bitch. But what did Jesse do to earn her amnesty? Was Lux confusing him with Captain Obvious from her Alaska trip (surely this wasn't a mistake made by the author)?
And it seemed like Jesse and Ms. Bitch were getting along just fine until they got kidnapped and tied to a car, suddenly they hated each other. What was the deal with that?
What was Jesse's job again? Survivalist? Photographer? Anthropologist? The story couldn't quite make up it's mind. Being an anthropologist/backup survivalist makes sense, why would Dr Stevens want a photographer on the team.
Did Lux and Ben completely miss a meth-house and stacks of cars somehow their fist time through? Seems a bit strange for a tracker/bounty hunter to not notice something like that.
I gave the first book 3 stars. This one, as a story, was about as good overall, but there seemed to be too many mistakes - it could have REALLY used another proofread. I'm gonna give the series one more try.
Ms. Bitch? Stevens said she was CSI, but apparently she was secretly a Coroner...Why was that a secret? Either job would have worked.
100% of this short story is rehashing the first story. There was no plot or character development. Same story as the first short story with a few new characters thrown in with the same mission from a crazy old rich guy looking for the fountain of youth. Boring! I also don't think the author has ever been to "piney woods" which is a region in Texas much less spent time in East Texas. Being a native Texan, I've never heard anyone say let's go on vacation at "Piney Woods". No real description of the terrain or what East Texas looks like. And we don't call Big Foot, Sasquatch, in Texas. The author would have had a better setting and title if she'd placed the story in the Pacific NW where she is from. I do not recommend nor will I continue this series of short stories.
The book is really short but I was kind of intrigued by the story of Piney woods. The events weren't very plausible (granted its a bigfoot book to begin with) but it's kind of like: ok, I'm sick of writing, the end)
