Retired Special Forces Operator, William “Sandman” McGhee has been a patched member of the one-percenter motorcycle club, Demons United since he retired from the military. Sandman is what One Percenters or Outlaws call a Nomad and does one of the most dangerous jobs for the club.
He kills.
Anytime the brothers call, he answers. When the call for a contract killing comes from the President of the North Carolina chapter of Demons United, Sandman accepts. No questions asked. He has been tasked with the job because he’s the best at what he does, and they need the best for this high-profile hit.
Sandman doesn’t expect Jade to come back into his life after he’s done everything possible to move on from her. Despite their years of separation, he’s drawn to her. Sandman puts the job first because it’s club above everything. Even if it means losing the woman he loves.
I was really looking forward to this one because I loved Demon’s trilogy. This one fell a little short for me. I liked William and Jade and their overall story but I think this was just too short. It was like 40% in before they’re back in the same space. I wanted to see them get together and then have more time adjusting to finally being together and just being a family with Junior. Not bad, but I just wanted more.
I loved the layers of emotions this story evoked as it takes you through some crazy twists and turns. William and Jade definitely go through a lot in this book☺️.
William “Sandman” puts people to sleep forever for the MC and he does it with precision except on this job he runs into a problem that dealt with this heart. Unbeknownst to Jade she was in danger and William didn’t have a choice but to intervene to ensure her safety😊. Although years had passed their attraction was still strong and it was time for them to finally give into their desire😘🥵. They finally realizes that it is what Aaron wanted to happen for his family❤️. In some ways I wished they’d spoken about their feeling so they could’ve avoided the years apart but I understood the decision William had made to stay away😕. The funny thing is that Junior knew all along, kids are so preceptive😊👍🏽. I was happy that Angie had found love in the end also😉.
This was great MC book and I liked that it tied to Demons United. I would recommend for anyone who enjoys a MC book with suspense and action👍🏽.
I love a good MC story and Courtney never disappointments me with her work…
This story is about William and Jade and how they try and fight the pull of love between them because Jade’s deceased husband (Aaron) who was the best friend to William. But then they realize that Aaron set it up for them to have each other once he was gone, I loved that piece of the story. I glad William finally told Angie his true feelings and she found her HEA, she didn’t see it then but its what they needed.
I am defiantly looking forward to the next book in this series because this book keeps your attention from jump. The plot twist made my mouth drop for sure I did not see that coming. The outcome was well deserved for sure!
Sandman is intent on keeping his promise to Aaron, his military brother. William didn't count on falling for Aaron’s widow. Thinking he had betrayed his friend, he left. It will be five years before they come face to face; William won’t be able to leave Jade or Junior again, only this time, he won’t have a choice. He has a job to do, and unfortunately, Jade is a little too close to the target.
I have no complaints about this latest book from Courtney. She knows how to weave an interesting tale, suck you in, then next thing you know, you're curled up on the couch not wanting to move until you have read the last page. I enjoyed William's and Jade's story. They had a lot of personal demons to work out. Can't wait to see what the author is going to drop for us next!
I got another new book boyfriend. There was something about Sandman that was so appealing. I loved the hard and soft exterior. It was heartwarming that even after 3 years apart his love for Jade never wavered. Two souls who never gave up on each other. I want more of them.
Its so hard finding IR books which is mainly what I read since I can relate to the relationship being black with a white husband i am so hooked by this authors work love everything one of her books she has written keep them coming plz also are we gonna get a book about della would like to see her story its
Loving someone with all your being and not able to act on it because of a promise made… That was William aka Sandman dilemma, he wasn’t expected to fall deeply in love with his best friend and only “family “ widow see his son as his own. However, Aaron didn’t mean it that way, he wanted them together. See what happened next… 👍
I really enjoyed this just as much as the last one of hers that I read! My only complaint, Ms. Dean leaves the finality incomplete, the completion is left for the reader to imagine! If you want there to be a happily ever after, then her ending lets you picture that in your mind! 🤗
Saandman and Jade's story was awesome! I agree with Jade that Aaron did definitely put them together. I loved how they both fault it for a long time. Your work is off the chain as usual!!!
Can Jade forgive and forget? Having been a military widow for years and not know, she really is now for real. Can she honour her deceased husbands last wish? Is William now her savior or her nightmare? Only Jade can decide.
Good story, William "Sandman" McGhee is a patched member a Nomad for the Demons MC, who is in love with Jade his best friend's widow. The feelings are mutual, but Jade is in danger and is unaware and William will defend the woman he loves, no matter what.
I enjoyed reading this story. It wasn't what I expected when reading a MC story. I loved 😍 the Sandman. I loved 😍 his loyalty to his brothers in arms and also his MC. He loved hard. He was protective and dangerous 😳.
Jada was a beautiful woman. I loved her strength and indurance.
Together they were magical and heated. It was a great read 📚 .
I know this is a novel and it should be wordy but not to the point of drawn out and boring. Great plot! But just too much or too long on one issue, without excitement or intensity.
I enjoyed the whole series. This story was a great read of love loss and love again. Question when are we getting a story about what happened to JD Dani and the aftermath of her death as suggested in the excerpt from Grimm Sin City MC.
I loved the storyline of the Sandman . He hard core and lovable. William tried to honor his promise to his friend. I would have likes to have read more details about Sam and his interaction with Jr. Overall the book was great.
