This book comprehensively reviews the four madhabs and talks about their similarities and differences, while briefly touching on the personal characteristics of each imam and their lives. It goes through basic facts regarding the four imams, their background and how it influenced their opinions, and then it moves through their shared and distinct viewpoints, spanning from their use of analogy, discretion, following norms, ijma' opinions, blocking the means, and many other concepts in usul- al fiqh. It concludes with highlighting the importance of taqleed and providing arguments against objections of following a madhab. The book is relatively simple and easy to understand. I would recommend it for everyone who is looking to engage a little more deeply into the usul of each imam!
