With so much of the internet powered by WordPress, it's no surprise that the people who use it are as diverse as those who use the internet itself. Each website represents a different story -- a different individual or organization who has a stake in being online and providing a window into their world. This book tells the story of WordPress, a tool created by a couple of hackers and developed by volunteers from all over the world.
An excellent book that covers the legends of the WordPress community and how the World's #1 community driven Web content management system got built over a period of time.
As this book is written by the community I expected it to be more biased, however I found a really interesting description of events that led WordPress to a leading CMS worldwide and created a huge community around it.
I learned a few bits about the WordPress project that I previously didn’t know. It also shed light on how parts of the project came to be organized in the way they still are.
