She’s chasing a new passion… He’s digging up old secrets…

After nearly losing her father to a heart attack, Rory Pike realizes life is fragile. So once her dad is on the mend, she jumps at the chance to live out her dreams. She joins her brother’s rock band on a mini tour, and while fronting them may not be her passion, at least she’ll be singing, and it’ll help keep her from worrying about her boyfriend’s mysterious investigations in Wyoming.

Brock Steel hates being away from Rory, but he has no choice. Felonies—heinous felonies—have been committed on Steel land, and he vows that his family won’t go down for someone else’s crimes. Brock solves bits and pieces of the cryptic series of events, but many of his questions remain unanswered.

The Steel family is under attack by an invisible enemy, and Brock will do anything to protect his family and fight for a future with Rory.

I managed to devour this book in one sitting!!⠀
Ms Hardt continues to blow me away with this series! ⠀

Brock and Jonah head off to Wyoming, to confront Doc and Brittany. Rory stays at home to look after her father after he has a heart attack when a chance of a lifetime comes along but can she do this without Brock? Brock and Jonah return with more information and questions that need answering. It seems as though the Steel Brothers are cursed and their past follows them everywhere. ⠀

Helen Hardt doesn't miss a beat, this book is full of mystery and suspense and left me craving more! It had me on the edge of my seat from page 1 to the end of the book! ⠀
I couldn't put it down! ⠀

5 Stars!

Helen Hardt always brings us amazing stories. Scorch is no exception. Helen has us anticipating what lays ahead and what clues will crack open the mystery behind who's responsible for trying to frame the Steels.

While Brock is in Wyoming with his father Jonah looking for mor answers to who's using their land for ungodly acts. Rorys is finding out who she truly is and what she desires most for her future.

Brock and Rory's love is stronger than ever and the time away from each other just reaffirmed that for the both of them. They both will do anything to protect each other and support each other.

More cluse are found which make for more questions that need to be answered and some shocking truths come out into the open.

Scorch is Brock and Rorys conclusion but the adventure isn't over. The Steels have been tormented by their past which the elder generation thought they put to rest. Someone is digging up what they buried and their children are now in their sights.

Helen Hardt is the Queen of Cliffhangers and keeps us all fully invested in her world.

5 ⭐ Scorching stars for this amazing installment of The Sensational Steel Brothers Saga!

Helen's brilliance continues to shine

SCORCH
, another riveting addition to the Steel Brothers Saga. This is book #24 in the saga and the final part of Brock and Rory's trilogy. Once again, Helen Hardt held me thoroughly captivated with the mystery, suspense, unexpected chances, and the special love between two people. The Steel family may appear to have everything and want for nothing, but the past has a way of continually rearing its ugly head to test this close-knit family. Have they been cursed by the actions taken by others in the past?

Brock travels to Wyoming with his father Jonah to investigate and confront Doc Sheraton regarding his involvement with the mysterious happenings on Steel land. They discover more than they ever expected, using tactics that Brock couldn't believe. Has Jonah Steel finally reached his patience limit? What role does Brittany Sheraton play in everything that has been going on? What are the secrets surrounding Pat Lamone? Helen certainly had me guessing every time I turned a page. While Brock is in Wyoming with his father, Rory remained behind to be near her father, who is recovering from a heart attack. Rory makes a decision that will change her life forever, she agrees to join her brother, Jesse, and his band on a brief tour to do several gigs. It is while singing with the band that Rory discovers her true self, and it's truly eye-opening for her.

While Brock and Rory don't spend a lot of time together in this book, they have so much going on individually. Their love for each other is evident through their thoughts, texts, phone calls, and in the moments they did get together. Lust and love shine through every caress, glance, and through the support they give each other. The spicy moments between them were oh so HAWT!!!! I love the relationship they shared, it was supportive, comforting, trusting, and loving.

SCORCH answered many questions and revealed some truths, but as usual it also raised quite a few more. It was a scintillating read, a story that I couldn't put down. The epilogue has left me wanting to know more, so I look forward to Chance releasing in March 2023.

SCORCH is mysterious and suspenseful, another mesmerizing read from Helen Hardt.

Brock and Jonah went Wyoming, to confront Doc and Brittany Sherraton, about some things that is going on, on the property, they are leasing from them.
Brock, Dale and Donny, have found some very interesting and questionable things in the barns, along with some evidence, that Brock has only just realized who, or where it came from.

Rory, decides that to get out of her head, she wants to go on tour with her brother Jesse, and his band, Dragonlocke. It is while on tour that she realizes that she is no longer an opera singer, but now a rock and roller, through and through!!!

There are so many revelations in this book, including things involving Pat Lamone, that you may have been wondering about. But I'm not going to say anything more, in fear of saying too much. You need to read this fantabulous book yourself, to find out all this wonderful information. Trust me, you'll want too.

If you've not read any of The Steel Brother's books before, you'll need to begin with Craving, book 1. This is a series, that must be read, each book in order, for you to keep up with the storyline.

Helen Hardt, you are an evil genuis. This book, might have answered some of my questions, but dangit, now I have so many more, that my head is spinning once again. You are still, the queen of those cliffhangers, too. Now, to wait for Chance to release, to get the answers to these latest questions...

I give this book 5 humongous stars, and recommend it to others who enjoy reading romantic/suspense. You will truly enjoy this series immensely.

The saga is never-ending, but continues to enthrall
Scorch (Steele Brothers Saga Book 24) by Helen Hardt is yet and other thrilling installment of the saga that is the large and extensive Steele family. The past is the past, yet the danger and gruesome parts keep rearing their ugly heads in the present. Through all the investigation, Scorch also focuses on Rory and Brock. While they are solidly together, things are happening for them individually.
The plot is truly enthralling as the reader is reminded of the past. It seems the antagonist(s) know no bounds and whether intentional or not, it’s deeply rooted and branches off in a variety of ways. It’s very twisty and complicated and multi-pronged that it’s impossible to guess which way the plot will turn.
Overall, this page turner is an all encompassing thrill ride. Rory and Brock bring the steam and emotion while the Steele family’s plague of troubles keep the reader guessing. And, for fans of this author, a variety of characters make appearances, adding depth to the present for Rory and Brock. While the myriad troubles surrounding Snow Creek and the Steele family are not solved or even going away, Rory and Brock solidify their HEA.
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.

From the inception of this series, Ms. Hardt has outdone herself with the character development and depth of the storylines and it continues with the next generation and this, the twenty-fourth book in the Steel Brothers Saga. It is not a standalone and picks up where the last book left off continuing Rory and Brock’s story. There are times in life when one incident makes a person realize just how precious life is. Rory and her family are staring that in the face while Brock is still seeking answers to the plague that is befalling his family. Where there are challenges, opportunities seem to present themselves and decisions will have to be made. Is this where Rory and Brock pull together and become stronger or will it tear them apart? There are so many revelations and strange bedfellows that you will not be able to see coming. While readers are given some answers, there are many more questions. One thing that holds true is, this is one book that sinks its talons (no pun intended) into you and holds on tight. Prepare for the ending and a sneak peek that will have tongues wagging and counting down the days until the next release. I highly recommend this series!

Scorch, by Helen Hardt, is the next book in the Steel Brothers saga, which is a continuation of the story of Brock Steel and Rory Pike. In this book, we finally get more answers about some of the mysterious happenings that have been occurring on Steel land. Brock and his father Jonah travel to Wyoming, to track down Doc Sheridan and his daughter, Brittany, who they know have more information than they have been willing to discuss to date. Meanwhile, Rory decides to travel with her brother Jesse, and the rest of the band for a mini tour, where she is the lead singer, which is exactly what her heart wants. But what about her relationship with Brock? She loves him, relies on him, but is still the fiercely independent woman she was raised to be. What will she do with the information that Brock shares with her? Be there to support the love of her life or run? I’m so impressed that this author can keep her writing fresh and engaging, even when we are 24 books into the series! And even more so, I love that we can continue to follow the original family and see this story continue to grow and evolve.

Honestly, it took me so long to get through this book. I can usually finish her books in a day. Maybe two. This one took me closer to a week. And its probably because of how ridiculous this story line is getting. Anyone and everyone is playing a role in some sort of crime that took place over 2 decades ago. And who you think is dead, probably faked it. And the aunt twice removed who had a kid with another guy during one of the breaks is probably looking for money because the Steels just have so much money they don't know what to do with it. I know this because it is repeated EVERY. CHANCE. IMAGINABLE. Along with other facts. Like Rory is the hottest girl is Snow Creek, or is an opera singer not a rocker, but maybe she is a rocker now.

Very very very reptitive. Like, same thing mentioned within 10 pages, just worded differently. And if it wasn't for my OCD. Making me feel the need to finish this story and my interest to see how far Helen Hardt is gonna stretch these stories so they all link together I'd have given up before Marjorie's story.

WOW - Just when I think she can't write another book better in the Steel Brother saga, she proves me wrong. Always writes with so much intrigue and mystery and weaving the past and the present. There are few authors who keep me buying everything they write like Helen. This final book trio of Brock and Rory finds Brock and his father, Jonah in Wyoming investigating what is happening on the land he leases to Doc Sheridan. Nothing good there and Brock sees a side of his father that scares him. While Brock is away, Rory is left dealing with her father's recent heart attack and finding herself in rock when she travels with her brother's band on a short tour. The love the two have keep them close even when apart. As usual, Helen always leaves us wanting more. Three (3) new books to this saga will come out in 2023 featuring Ava (daughter of Ryan Steel). The series starts with Craving and never lets up!!! Keep writing Helen - you have a true gift!!!

Arc review

If you haven’t read the series, Scorch may be a little confusing. Each book in the series follows through with a Steel member(s).

Brock Steel, along with his father have resolved part of a mystery relating to the Steel Family. A mystery that 25 yrs ago was closed, so they thought.
Rory Pike, Brocks other half too has gone through trauma. Home fire, loss of property, her father in hospital, a singing career in turmoil, but life continues.
Between Brocks family search and part answers, Rorys acknowledgement of what kind of singer she is, mystery, drama - ‘The Steel Brother’ saga goes on.

You will be taken on a journey of mystery, abuse, human trafficking, sex, sex and more sex, love, family….. once you start the series, you won’t want to look back. Helen Hardt takes you into a world where you may question humanity but will want more.

Scorch - has some answers and leads into the next Steel character. No spoiling.

Never has a series kept my attention for so long. Book #24 and I could read another 24!
This seems to be the last book centering around Rory and Brock. I enjoyed that both of the main characters had their own issues to deal with. Even with both story lines crossing over each other, Rory and Brock didn't need to spend every waking moment together and spent time apart from each other. Brock and his dad investigated the issues they were having on their property in Wyoming and Rory had to discovery who she is now. Brocks issues were really about his family's history and things that happened before and Rory's issues were about her own self-discovery. She was an opera singer and now sings with her brothers rock band. Brock supports Rory 100% and vise versa. I really enjoyed the dynamic between these two characters. At the end of the book it teases about the next book to come about Ava.
Helen Hardt is an amazing author who masterfully writes and keeps your attention. Each story of characters has three books and each characters have their own stories and nothing is repeated. Each stories have their own twists and turns and just when you think you have things figured out, Helen Hardt throws something else in that keeps you guessing until the very end. I can't wait for the next set of stories.

the things I find silly about this book are the things I found silly about the past 23 books, so it's not like I have any grounds to complain

well, I might complain a little

the story of Rory embracing singing rock music with her brother's band was actually pretty sweet. maybe the book didn't need to mention she's bisexual every second sentence, but it seems like she's having a good time. I actually really didn't mind that she and Brock hardly interact aside from being supportive of each other over the phone

Brock was doing the standard Steel Brothers Saga arc, tracking down leads like a rancher action hero while making no actual significant progress because it's a 30 book series and we're only at book 24. he also proposes what has to be really, really early in the relationship, but again, book 24 of a 30 book series

this book spent a lot of time talking about threesomes when it had no intention of delivering threesomes

This appears to be the last book centered around Rory and Brock. Several of the mysteries surrounding each of them have been brought to light and they have gotten some answers but nothing has been solved completely. Rory and Brock have a powerful, steamy relationship that has them supporting the other in the pursuit of their dreams. Rory has decided to change her singing direction, Brock is going to back that decision in every way including financially.
The next book, Chance, is focused on Ava Steel. A series with this many books is still keeping my attention because Helen Hardt is an amazing author. She knows how to write with many mysteries and twists and turns. I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy for my review. I love this series and hope this helps you decide to take a leap into it.

Love, love the Steel family. I recommend this series to anyone asking what they should read. There is love, drama, and mystery with every member we meet. Brock has always been a playboy, but Rory Pike the girl across the street wouldn't get out of his heart or mind. Brock is trying to help his family figure out what's been going on for years with his family and trying to bring them down. Rory's trying to help care for her family farm and taking care of her father after his heart attack. She goes on a mini tour with her brothers band and finds she really does enjoy rock. But she can't deny her love for Brock and wants to be with him all the time and try to help him with his family's issues. Their love is so strong and continues to grow. I can't wait for the next book to find out more about the Steel's and who finds love next.

Wow, Helen Hardt knows how to keep her readers on the edge of their seat. She’s got another riveting page turner in Scorch, the latest installment of the Steel Brothers saga. With the stress of Frank Pike’s heart attack, and all that’s been going on with the Pat Lamone debacle Rory decides she needs to get away for a while. She makes the decision to join Jesse and Dragon Locke on their mini tour. She will finally let go of the past and open herself to what the future has to offer. Meanwhile, Brock and Jonah are in Wyoming searching for answers to the mystery surrounding Talon’s shooting, and the human remains found on their property, and we finally learn who has been leaving clues for the younger generation. This book concludes Brock and Rory’s story with a very exciting ending. I look forward to the next installment in this saga!

HH does it again! Scorch is the 3rd installment in the story of Rory and Brock. Book begins with Brock and his dad taking a trip chasing leads to uncovering secrets that pertaining to the Steel Family. Rory is still dealing with her father's heart attack. She feels the need to do something for herself so she goes on tour with her brother and his band as that has always been a passion of hers. With all the secrets that are abound between them both and the families, Brock, especially see a side of his dad that he didn't know existed. New realizations for both Rory and Brock are having them both to sit back and wonder just how well they know their families.

Readers definitely won't be disappointed!

I love that HH has the ability to keep the reader in suspense, show that the couple still love each other, and leave the reader able to escape reality for just a bit.

Together they are mighty and apart they are supposed to be less but when Brock and his dad head to Wyoming to get information from Doc Sheriden, Rory is left home helping her family with the sudden heart attack that hit her father. But then a second chance at a music career lands in her lap. Can she do this without Brock by her side? Can she stand on her own? And what happens when Brock brings back information that leads to more questions? When will this family ever be able to put their past behind them? Filled with page after page of intense action and an overload of information this was another fabulous read from Helen Hardt. The characters are taken on a wild ride but with love, hope and a few answers they come out on the other side stronger than before.

Another great book by Helen Hardt. I was of course pulled in and was able to read in just a few sessions because I wanted more. The only reason this book did not get 5 stars is because it lacked the steamy sections that I look forward to. Rory and Brock only are not intimate enough in this book in my opinion. I really enjoyed the character focus being on Rory and Brock this time. I hope more questions are answered in the next book and we don't just completely skip to another new character's story. I really enjoy reading through multiple character's eyes so that the story is not just seen one way. I had no idea the Misadventure series books even existed so I'm so excited to begin those as I wait for #25!

Steals the day

I love everything about the Steele brothers series. I have read all of the books so far and not one of them has let me down. Helen Hart knows how to bring out the character of each family member. I love how Brock gave up his roaming eyes for a slew of women at a young age, and swept Rory off her feet. She has been in a number of relationships with both men and women. Brock made an honest woman out of her.
Brock seems to be the ethical one in the family and relies on gut feelings to know when people are telling the truth. He brought a lot out of Brittany and also Pat Lamone. They both have a shady background but Brittany is a sociopath. Pat Almond just wants a better life.
Can't wait for the next saga of the Steele brothers series.

Scorch is the 24th book in the Steel Brothers Saga but the 3rd book for Brock and Rory. In my opinion, the best book of their trilogy.

You finally get some answers to long time questions while of course more questions arise. I don't know how Helen Hardt keeps all these old and new mysteries popping while keeping you on the edge of your seat waiting to find out what happens next.

Love Brock and Rory together. Rory deserves some happiness in her life and Brock makes her very happy.

Up next is Ava Steel. Love how Helen keeps this saga going with the Steel children while still bringing back the original Steel clan.

And so the plot thickens...

It never ceases to amaze me that we are on the 24th volume in the Steel Brothers Saga. It is just as fresh and new as the first book in the series. The mystery factor has stepped up a notch. Brock is beyond disturbed with the discovery of horrid findings on the Steel property

Meanwhile Rory is dipping her toes into the Rock music scene. She ponders if she should go on tour with her brothers and the band. She realizes this is something she wants to explore. It's a dilemma as being away from Brock would put a heavy weight on her heart. She loves Brock very deeply and is concerned how this would affect their relationship.

We are yet again riddled with more unanswered questions. The teasers are there for the taking, but the Steel family has yet to learn the whole puzzle. I await for more intrigue to unveil itself that surrounds this family.

Another brilliant read from the Steel Brother Saga series 😍

I just love this series is full of twist, turns and full of surprises.  Scorch starts to see Brock and his father resolve some of the mystery that has been going on with his family that was thought to have ended 25 years ago.  This book is definitely a page turner, keeps you gripped and wanting to know what happens next.  There is still alot of mystery to solve in this series.
HH is an amazing story teller 😁
If you have never read this series now is the time to start, these books will keep you hooked from the start.
I am so ready for Chance to see whats coming next ❤️

I absolutely loved the progression of Rory and Brock's relationship. They were great as individual characters and even better as a couple. So much of the mystery was revealed, yet so much wasn't at the same time. This installment had so much intensity and so much growth. I loved that Rory joined the band officially and that she gets to live out her dreams of singing live. I also really valued all the openness and honesty from the events going on in the background. I'm so hooked and I think the segue into Ava and Brendan's books was so exciting. It already has me on my toes and I'm always excited for new Steel perspectives!

A series to rival “Yellowstone”. Some new beginnings for Rory and new realizations for Brock. He sees new dimensions to his parents, some not so nice but understandable. He’s learning that some of his impressions of certain people may not be what they are really about. His growth in relationships has helped Rory’s confidence in their love. But, no matter what new developments they learn about the Steel’s past and present, their love continues to grow. Hopefully, more answers than questions in the next saga.

OMG Helen, this book!! This mystery is still unsolved and now a new generation is trying to help solve it alongside the older generation!! That alone is enough to keep me loving this book, because who doesn’t love a great mystery?! But then you add in the romance between Brock and Rory and holy cow!! But then, the thing I loved the most was when you brought Jett & Zane into this book. I was dancing in my bed!! Simply the best! Little details like that are why you’re the Queen! I’m just blown away!! Thank you for such an amazing storyline! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Helen Hardt always leaves me wanting more! The story of Brock and Rory is such a feel good story, supporting each other in happy and sad times alike. It is an inspiration to love harder and follow your heart! As we near the end of this series, I find myself sad and wanting to read ALL the books again. I will never get enough! Helen truly has a knack for pulling the reader in, immersing them in the story, allowing for a surreal escape from reality. Each book just keeps getting better. I can't wait for the next read!

Haunts from the past!!!

Well Brock and Rory are still going strong and Brock got to see another side of his father. A blast from the pass has turned up again so more detective work needs to play a hand.
Rory's brother 's band went off to play a few gigs hoping to be noticed and Rory performed with them.
Who would of thought they'd get a surprise close to home........to be continued. I love the Steel brothers but I can't wait till the story ends. We are in the 3rd generation it would be nice to move on.
