Cary! He’s a Lil bit older & more mature than some of the other members of the Next Generation ..Yeah he got bit of silver in his hair and he is a lifelong biker with a long-ass rap sheet.

But none of that matter to Abigail in this story, on the contrary. It’s helped her, due to his back ground and his connections that will Help her.

Abs. Abigail, has lived a hard life. For someone her age!
Abigail was raised in a religious family that was honestly in my opinion very similar to a cult.

Once Abigail was old enough, she was married off to a older man and expected to have his children,
so as you can imagine, when she didn’t reproduce for this man, her husband divorced her, and that didn’t mess with Abigail self- confidence, To make matter worse, she was kicked when she was down by her own parents ‘and their decision to support her husband

So, Abigail being Abigail, she went on a religious mission across the border. where she met and fell for Mexican cartel, of course , she had found the worst kind of man.
So, when she just barely managed to make it out of Mexico without being discovered. Abigail only knew one person who might be able to help her.

Someone better just pluck me up and put me in Navesink Bank where I can live my life surrounded by delicious women, sexy as sin knights in cool buttery smooth leather and dangerously gorgeous cartel kings who give out puppies like mints. This is the life I need. It's what I fucking want ok.

A is mine. Back off bitches.

Ok...

Now I've got that off my chest let me purge my thoughts.

Cary is everything I thought he'd be and then some. His sweet Loves and genuine respect for himself and others had me instantly loving his character. Despite being a criminal and biker the man takes care of himself and cares about the impression he leaves. It's nice to have a little change up in dynamics from these usually rough and ready no fucks given bikers. It was clear from previous stories that him being a bit older and more mature made him stand out but what I really loved is the older brother like relationship he has with Dezi. He was calmer, seemly more in control and just had that lived in feel about him but he could also be playful and full of banter and teasing which worked really well. Especially with his Dezi bromance.

Abigail. Oh lord she broke my heart. What a sweet utterly genuine character she is and in times like that I just wish she lived the life she deserved instead one that made her innocence turn to fear.
I feel like she did a whole lot of growing in this journey and not in a unrealistic way either. Life hasn't been kind to our sweet girl and she learnt her lessons the hard way but it still didn't dull the light within her despite everything she's been though. She's the sweet kind of tough with a gentle soul and a kind heart.

I didn't expect Cary and Abi's back story but it was definitely a full circle heart warming kind of moment despite the circumstances. They had a sweet slow burn journey that had a tonne of tension and a whole lot of chemistry that built to delicious heights before they finally gave in to the inevitable and might I add what a fucking way to combust. I was swooning and sweating. Oh lord our sweet Abi turned into a wild cat and Cary most definitely didn't have pure intentions in those moments. But they are FIRE.
Honesty they just had very natural connection that felt easy between them and it didn't matter what was happening around them, them together just fit and felt right. Even before there was anything sexual. However as their story devoloped and they started to get more comfortable I really enjoyed the teasing and playful banter. I loved that Cary brought Abi out of her shell and encouraged her to explore and grow on her own and truly made her feel safe and at peace with him. It really was a beautiful thing.

Oh and the side characters of it all.

Cary's bromance with Dezi is everything but also Dezi's sistership with Abi and the rest of the women? ... so fucking pure I love it. That man needs to be treasured. Add in Voss and well I'm not even going there with my thoughts on that because it's beyond sinful. But I loved them and all the rest of the characters. There is also some very interesting developments with the characters for future stories that I truly am so excited for and I feel like have the potential to change the path of the mc in the best ways. The possibilities are endless and so fucking exciting for sure and I am stoked to see where it all goes. But one thing I will say is I love these characters and the chemistry between them all. The banter and bickering. The love and support. It's just feel good and even when shit gets very crazy in these journies, getting back to the family feel this mc provides makes everything so much better.

So to wrap it...

It's quite an unpredictable story but it's not so action packed that it overwhelms you. There is lots of character development and some very interesting story and world building that will carry on through the next stories which is exciting and all kinds of teasing. It's so freaking sweet, a little heart breaking and at times absolutely hilarious. It's gives you all the feels in the best ways and most definitely leaves you wanting more for sure. I honestly can't wait for what's next but I'm also sad that I'm finished because Cary and Abi are the sweetest together!.

Until next time!!! xo

After Niro this is another favourite in the series.

Abigail and Cary had the right chemistry and I enjoyed the development of their relationship. I liked how they were both at a place in life where they knew what they wanted (particularly Cary) and they didn’t waste time pretending otherwise. The plot/action side of the story was good enough to bring some suspense but not overly complicated to take away from the romance. It was a good balance and overall a great addition to the series.

It's so good to read about the Henchmen MC again.
I missed this fascinating Navesink Bank universe, that Jessica created.

Cary is one of the newer member of the MC, but he's older than the most.
He's the calm collected man, that learned after his last prison sentence, to be good to his mind and body.
He might be older and this might be not his first MC, but he finally found the place and family, that he always wanted.

Abigail grew up in a cult-like, very religious community, where women were raised to serve men and bear their children. Her life story is a heartbreaking avalanche of abuse and cruelty.

You're probably thinking, ok what do these two completely different people have to do with each other?

Yeah, this all started with pen pals...

Yeah, I wrote a bit more than I should, so you can have a taste of what an incredibly fascinating and heartbreaking story this book is.
Don't worry, that's just a tiny little bit of information I've given away.

This book is a gripping, exciting, action-packed fast-paced romance that I read in one go.

I recommend it to all MC romance fans. This book can be read as a standalone, but I really recommend to read the whole series.

5 Zaddy Stars

Cary is the fifth book in the Henchmen MC - Next Generation series by Jessica Gadziala . I think we can all agree that we have all been looking forward to this book.  Cary - Zaddy has interested me from the start and I always wondered what way Jessica would go with him. I was not disappointed.

Abigail grew up in a religious cult and before she was old enough was married off. After her husband is done she is lost and decides to go on a mission to Mexico, were she falls into another not so great situation. She never seems to land on her feet. Although life has not been kind to her, she hasn't lost her light or her sweetness; she's still worries for others over herself.

Cary is an older MC member who is over the partying and treats his body like a temple. After years of being in prison and having his freedom taken away from him he is living his life. Until one day something he long forgot about lands at his door and turns his life upside done.

I loved that Cary was older, calmer and more in control. I loved this brother like relationship with Dezi, I can't wait for his book!

Although there was a great storyline this book is not so full of action like previous books  but that’s ok. We still get the excitement and it’s also jammed packed with emotional feels for both of them. There were also some great secondary characters as always with Jessica's books and made us want more from this series. I for one can't wait for more in this series and to see where other characters go. Highly recommend this book and series.

Love when hero is little older. Even though he is just a prospect in the Henchmen MC, Cary is not a young man. Before coming to the Henchmen he was in another MC and then did time. It was during this time in prison through a pen pal program that he met, through letters only, Abigail.

Abigail has lived quite the life herself. Raised in a cult like commune where women were raised to serve a man and married off early, when that marriage didnt work and her husband divorced her she was ostracized and went to Mexico to try and continue the mission. What she ended up with was being held prisoner by a leader of a drug cartel for many years. After years of planning she finally escaped.

That brings us to current day when Abigail seeks out Cary in Navesink Bank  in hopes he can help her.. Well you know these Henchmen, they cannot deny a woman in distress. Another great book in the second generation Henchmen series and there are so many more (I hope) great stories to come.

Oh YES! Any new installment of the Henchmen is guaranteed to make my day, and Cary's story is no exception. When a bone-skinny woman shows up at the Henchmen's clubhouse asking for Cary, he doesn't have a clue who she is - because they have never actually met before. But Abigail is the former cult member who started writing to him while he was in prison. While she had originally started writing to him as part of her cult's outreach program, their correspondence blossomed into something meaningful to both of them - until the letters just stopped. Why the letters stopped is just the beginning of a story filled with violence and regret...but as with all Jessica Gadziala tales, the trials are well worth it. Absolutely wonderful!

A love story

I absolutely loved this book. Jessica never disappoints, she just keeps getting better and better. Cary and Abigail are the sweetest couple who have a lot going for them. But do they get their happy ending? Well you will just have to read it to find out.

Another Great Henchmen Book

I loved Cary and Abigail’s book! She’s been through a lot, but was still a bit sheltered, and Cary just encouraged her to become her best self no matter what. You have to love a man who shows unwavering support.

I liked the characters and the story, but something about this felt a little off to me. The heroine had an abusive relationship in the past and then immediately got into a second abusive relationship after that and then this story starts when she escapes the second abusive relationship and seeks out the hero’s help. While the hero is not abusive at all, the heroine has spent her entire adult life in dependent, abusive relationships and has never lived as an independent adult and I feel like even the healthiest of relationships is not healthy until someone learns to live without depending on another person (or the cycle will just continue).

Sexy & Sweet!

Cary is like a delicious trip back in time to Reign, if Cary were a little more hot headed, and Summer, if Abigail were a little more tortured.

Cary is like one of the OG members of the Henchmen, except that he's all calm and collected as a newer member and not still trying to prove himself or busy spinning out and making stupid mistakes. This is not to say he's boring, oh heck no, he's still sexy AF, he's just seen enough that he avoids the more egregious errors that would land him in hot water with his club or his woman.

Abigail is sweet, and pliant, probably because in her whole life she's never had the ability to make choices on her own, so even when those opportunities arise she doesn't want to be seen as taking advantage of Cary or the Henchmen. I loved her sweetness, but I also loved that as time went by her backbone came rushing back in and she wasn't afraid to stand up for herself.

The side characters are a riot in Jessica Gadziala's 5th episode of the next gen Henchmen. Hope is coming out of her shadow a little bit, and Dezi has met just the right friend for him because Abi is able to get him to open up a little bit, without having to worry that she'll overshare with one of his brothers.

I love the back and forth growling between Voss and Dezi, that's eventually going to be a bloody scene in the clubhouse and I'm HERE FOR IT!! And the surprise new prospect is bound to bring tensions between all the members, and probably even the Princesses.

I love the fast paced nature of this book - don't look away or you might miss something! I even had to go back at one point because I thought I missed a vital point between A and Raúl.

5 stars for Cary and Abigail, their sexy sweetness was exactly what I needed to bring me out of the book slump I was in!!

As with all JG books if you are new to Navesink Bank I recommend going back to the beginning and reading all of her books.

Cary has not always thought himself to be a good man. He has made decisions that have landed him in trouble. Prison to be exact.

Abigail was raised to believe her station in life is below her man. Always. In the kitchen cooking his meals, on her back making his babies, taking a few hits with her mouth shut.

They each needed a reason to keep going when life had them at their lowest. And they each found that something in each other it just happens it took 6 1/5 years for them to actually meet face to face.

I LOVE Cary! Men calling thei woman “love” has always been a weakness of mine and you don’t see it very often in books. 🥰 he doesn’t think he’s a very good man but he is the sweetest.

Abigail is so strong. She doesn’t always feel like it but there is so much strength in what she did. 🖤

There are dark topics in this (domestic violence, sexism, kidnapping, etc.) but it didn’t feel dark because their relationship was just so sweet.

I CANNOT wait for Dezi to be knocked on his ass by a woman.

And I am obsessed with A🖤 he is definitely going to be a lot of fun.

Pen Pals!!

Cary is one of the newer Henchmen. A little older and more calm that the rest.A dream come true!! Willing to help a woman he’s never met in person that helped save him during a low point in his life.

Abigail has finally escaped to Naviesink Bank. She’s been a prisoner in one way or another her whole life first from a cult then from a madman. She is learning to be a strong woman with Cary’s help.

“Your lady friend looks like a strong wind would blow her over,” Dezi said, as though Cary hadn’t seen me himself.

This story is sexy and sweet with some suspenseful undertones.

I can’t wait until Desi gets his own book. That man is a trip. Defiantly the comic relief.

“Oh, Dezi, I don’t think I will ever be skilled enough to untangle that web you have going on up there,”

I just felt like the hero was convenient for her. She was his former pen pal from when he was in prison.

Try faire l'amour by Jessica Gadziala or Grudge Match by Jessica Gadziala as those books were much more romantic.

Freaking awesome read

Cary and Abs are a match made in heaven.

Cary is a rough tough biker, that has done time, and came out on top joining the Henchman brotherhood, Cary loves and lives freely with the motto my body is my temple and has even gained the nickname Zaddy, thanks to his close friend Dezi, (who is absolutely hilarious can not wait for his book.)

But when his pen pal shows up needing help Cary shows us a protective, sweet and attentive side.

Abs has lived a life of disappointment, and has shoddy taste in men. Her latest mistake has her running for her life straight into the arms of the one criminal she hopes can save her.

Both characters chemistry is off the charts.

Jessica's story's are the gift that keeps on giving she is truly talented.

Otherwise, this was good- I love me an age-gap romance and Cary really was 'Zaddy."

Cary is the fifth book in the Next Generation Henchmen MC series.

I adored Cary! He’s a little older and more mature than some of the other members, and he enjoys the brotherhood and family that comes with being a member of the Club. Prior to joining the Henchmen he spent several years in prison. Cary never could have imagined such a significant person from his past would show up in his present.

Abigail has lived a truly hard life. She was raised in a religious family that was very similar to a cult. Once she was old enough, she was married off and expected to have children. When her husband divorced her, she went on a mission trip where she met and fell for the worst kind of man. When she was finally able to escape, Abigail only knew one person who might be able to help her.

Cary and Abigail were so sweet together and I loved how their story ended up. Fate has a funny way of making things happen that we never could have dreamed possible. As always, the secondary characters were great, especially Dezi who we spent more time with throughout the story. Andre made a few appearances and there’s also a new prospect at the Club. I cannot wait to see whose book we get next.

Loved this romance!

Loved this romance. I really enjoy all the Henchmen and what I enjoy most is that despite the number of books in the Henchmen world, they are still very different. Cary is older, but joined up with the next generation. In his earlier years he did time in jail and during one of those stretches he had a pen pal, Abigail. Abigail grew up in a religious “cult” and as part of missionary work she started writing to Cary while he was in jail. She has not lived a great life and when the story opens she is making an escape from an abusive and dangerous situation. The only one she knows that might be able to help her stay out of this situation is Cary so she tracks him down and shows up on his doorstep looking for his guidance.

Reading as Cary and Abigail dance around each other, forced to spend a lot of time together, and reading how their relationship grows was great. This is a slow burn romance that had quite a bit of action in it. As usual, we get glimpses of other henchmen whose stories I now can’t wait for (Dezi) and we spent time with Andres, not part of the MC but from a cartel, and I am now desperately wanting his story!

So much love

Loved Cary (Zaddy) and Abs.

This one has such a unique back story, especially how Abigail and Cary first "met."
And also the back story for Abs - from an extremely sheltered, cultish religious upbringing to an abused, cartel prisoner running for her life.

I really enjoyed watching Abs grow from scared victim to fierce survivor. Survivor stories are my favorite and extremely relatable.

And oh my gosh the supporting characters! Gadziala writes the best supporting characters. Andres and Dezi are such enigmas. Andres with his dark side and his unexpected light puppy love side. And Dezi with all his light and fun and the well hidden darkness. And let's not forget Hope! Such a bad*ss, but why is she not ditching her horrible job!?

I really liked Cary. Not sure why Abigail didn’t seek him out after her divorce. I can’t decide if I want Dezi to find a woman that worships the ground he walks on or that makes him have to work for it. I hope he gets a book soon. Since he and Voss have tension perhaps Voss has a sister that comes to visit. Idk but I look forward to more books.
