Alex Thorne couldn't believe his ears! The beautiful blonde sharing his elevator had just told him that if he took his latest job, his life would be at risk. But Alex was a CPA -- not exactly a risky business. Besides, he didn't believe in "premonitions," and he certainly didn't trust dizzy blondes -- even irresistibly gorgeous ones.
But this woman was no scatterbrain -- she was Sarah Delaney, president of the company Alex had been sent to investigate. Sarah always trusted her instincts, and this time they told her that she had a thief on her hands. But Alex might not be the only one in danger, because from the moment she saw him she knew that he would be trouble -- of the most intimate sort.
I really enjoyed Lightning Strikes. I am not sure everyone will enjoy this book or not because of the heroine.
Sarah grew up in a commune and she is psychic as well as well as President of a highly successful company but you see she and her brain follows no logic. She is directionally challenged so she walks, she forgets her alarm, time and details of life and I found her adorable. She is sweet and giving if a bit eccentric in her approach to life. She feels something is wrong with her company so in comes Alex.
Alex was a football player, burned by a bad marriage and now he is a CPA. He likes numbers and at first thinks Sarah is weird as she warns him off saying he is in danger. The book was fun and sweet. It was pretty different. Alex doesn't know what to do with Sarah and can't help but fall for her.
