I love family first and foremost, which is why writing family sagas and stories that involve family is so much fun. Maybe you can tell that from my books since they always feature the warmth and joy and ridiculousness that comes from having a close-knit family.

I also love animals and have taken in rescue dogs and cats and fostered dogs for the local animal shelter.

And of course, I love writing. All I need is a functioning brain (batteries not included), a pen, and paper, and I can write anywhere. Please don’t let a conversation with me lag because my imagination takes over and I. Am. Checked. Out!

USA Today bestselling author, Day Leclaire is the author of more than 60 novels and has received an impressive eleven nominations for the romance industry's most prestigious award, Romance Writers of America RITA© Award. Day lives in Charlotte, NC and spends her days obsessively writing while vaguely remembering to pay attention to her adorable husband, busy son and daughter-in-law, two tiny grandchildren, and two even tinier Teddy Bear dogs. Not to mention a whole lot of dust!

I struggled some with this one, which is a surprise in a way because it has amnesia, which I usually like, and it’s a Christmas story, which I also usually like. Also elements of it are based on true people and/or events from the author’s life, which should lend it an aura of truth/reality many romance novels lack. But I really struggled with the main love story, which made me mildly uncomfortable for some of the book. Can’t say more without spoiling, so I won’t. So far my favorites in this series are the two dealing with each of the twins.

A Christmas Gift
D’Angelo has a problem with Christmas, his mother died just days before the holiday which left the brothers in foster care, his ex-wife told him she was leaving at Christmas time and he just want to forget that this supposedly festive day exists. Left his family behind to withdraw into the mountain and be alone. Fate decides differently.
As the story unfurls, all kinds of tragic circumstances come to light. A book that leaves me with a laugh and a tear and a very warm feeling at the end. Loved it.

Emotional

It’s an excellent and very emotional book from Salvatore Brothers series with different twists and turns, unexpected moments and strong, loving and caring main characters. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves to read romance.

This is basically an amnesia story with the hero losing his memory of the crucial time when he had a romance with the mother of the baby in the title.
Lauren has brought baby Nick to his father who is avoiding a family Christmas because of past sorrows, by staying in the families cabin in the woods in California.
Lauren and her sister Meg lived the other side of the country in North Carolina. Eighteen months ago, Alessandro had an accident that resulted in memory loss in North Carolina.
When he fails to recognise her or remember her sister, Lauren tells Alessandro that he and Meg had a romance that resulted in the birth of Nick. Now her sister is dead and due to a death bed promise, Lauren has brought his baby across the country.
This is an interesting story with a certain mystical element as Alessandro's dreams give him hints and us clues to what he has forgotten. The romance between him and Lauren is very sweet and the resolution very satisfactory.

This was my favorite of the Salvatore Brothers.
Alessandro is the perfect foil for the ethereal Lauren. It is nothing better than to see a macho Italian lose his heart to a wisp of girl.

It was an okay read. Hero got amnesia in this one. One day heroine came up to him with the news that he had a son. There was a twist in the end and I was like, "Awwwkayyy, was that really necessary? Could have revealed in the first chapters then the story should be done in 5 or 6 chapters haha"
