I love anything Lexie Winston writes. This series is fantastic. Looking forward to Book 3

I think book one is better. In book two I thought we would see Victoria become a true mafia princess or Azreal, this is not the case. She is constantly being a pushover, letting people get away with things and disrespect her, this is not the behavior of someone who is supposed to be feared, in charge, or powerful. I get she is young, but letting your rapist run free for over a year because you have a plan seems ridiculous. Gio who is supposed to be incharge shows no characteristics of a leader taking after his father. Again Victoria is dismissed and disrespect by others. When will she ever live up to her name and role? Where's is the feared Azreal? There is no backbone. Is she meant to be seen as a confused teenager, who lets people influence her ( like allowing people into her home against the rules while she plays hostess, seriously) or an underboss who takes charge and makes her father proud? I'm confused. I would like to see a woman be stronger,.more incharge , leading instead of listening to everyone and being disrespected. Where is the true mafia princess? Her actions are the opposite someone meant to lead with an iron fist.

Mafia madness. Lexie Winston is a masterful writer. The story of Tori and her lovers is an intricate blend of mafia action and character development and interaction. The storytelling is spot on. I can’t wait to see what Tori will go through in the next book.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this book, and what a book!! Following on from the first book, this one hooks you in to the lives and relationships of the of the main character. You see the building and mixing of the different aspects of her life.
The story line just jets better the more you read and you just need to know what is going to happen next and I can not wait for the next book in the serise.

Too much. And not enough.
**SPOILERS**
Gio and Tori are now in charge of the mafia. Tori has pretty much taken to it like a fish to water, but Gio decides to go to college and kinda dumps everything on Tori. They are both still trying to figure out what happened to their dad. And Tori finds herself interested in a girl and her harem.
**THOUGHTS/OPINIONS**
This book, along with the first one just didn’t click for me. I love Winston’s Galaxy Circus books because the premise is so spectacular and sets up the series for various love interests. In this book Tori finds her attention taken off of Sage for a bit as she finds herself attracted to Vienna and Vienna’s guys. The sex just doesn’t work for me because these books are really Tori’s story, and she never seems to be the focus or main character. There is just too much going on, without enough substance on Tori and her relationships to make the books really fulfilling. I love Tori’s character. She is bloodthirsty, feisty, sarcastic and a great FMC, but she deserves a story arc all of her own. Honestly I hated having to split my attention between her and Gio (who annoyed me) yes, Winston pays more attention to Tori, the books are from her POV, but there is too much “background noise” to really find it satisfying. Plus Tori deserved to have a harem devoted to her…not playing second fiddle to Vienna. It feels as if the guys are only with Tori because Vienna likes girls too. Heck they say as much, “Vienna likes girls, so we want to give her the world.” It really takes away from the plot and “love story” having men with the FMC ONLY because their girlfriend likes women too. I just disliked how little time was spent cultivating a truly devoted harem there was.

Damn. WTF. Why did it need to stop? Like OMG. Tori being the mob boss is so true. I have my suspicions of who the quad were adopted by. I just can't wait to find out if I'm right. Gio is a giant turkey butt. He is getting on my nerves. Yay, for Sage and Tori.

Lies Untold is book 2 of the Broken Promises series and it literally jumps in from where we were left at the bar at the end of Secrets Kept. I admittedly haven't read alot of dark mafia romance but I can see now that this is a big mistake on my part, because if they are even remotely as good as this series, then I'm definitely missing out. But please, for the love of all things sugary, check content warnings as it does have some dark triggering scenes.
I am loving Tori and Sage. They really are perfect for each other. I love that he can anticipate what she needs even when she doesn't or can't and he doesn't even blink an eye when she suggests something super illegal and dangerous. Oh, swoon!!!! I totally understand why Tori is so hesitant, to the point of basically shutting down any kind of feeling, to open herself up to new people but I'm glad we are getting to see Tori let down her hair just a bit. Having said that, she is an absolute boss and it suits her. Gio is irritating the life out of me. I want to shake him, violently.
I think the additition of Vienna, Colton, Xavier and Tristan, is both amazing and suspicious. I have theories and I'm still internally debating days after having finished reading, that these 4 and a certain other mafia head are connected. Maybe, but I'm not sure yet. Lies untold - Lexie Winston
Like in Secrets Kept, Lies Untold is raw and gritty. It is still about family and honour. Learning who you can and cannot trust.--> make sure you read the disclaimer if you have triggers.
There is something about the characters and writing of Lexie Winston that always draws me in, but Tori (and the other characters) in The Broken Promises series just pull me in even more than Lexie’s other characters!
The second instalment of Tori’s series starts right off from where the first book ended. We see Tori embrace the Mafia leader that she is even more than book 1. She holds herself back from the world after her past trauma, but she doesn’t let it stop her from personal growth.
I have so many puzzle pieces floating about and I have theories about who and what is (going) to happen in the next instalment, that I cannot wait to see where this story lead to.
Highly recommended

I liked the first book and this one wasn’t bad, however I really thought I was going to like Gio but he just mostly got on my nerves. I liked him in the beginning of the first book when it was supposed to be him and Tori agains the world but then he ended up basically ditching her for Casey.
Also I found myself getting annoyed with the group trying to get Tori to hang out and she would try and blow them off only to hang with them. And I don’t know who I was really annoyed at. If I was Tori I would have probably held back a little longer, because it’s not fair that she has to do all this stuff herself while Gio gets to have all the fun and basically abandon all his responsibilities. I think I would feel way more blood thirsty with how much pressure she feels.
Anyways I did love Sage and I loved how him and Tori progressed their relationship and will be waiting for the next book to see what happens.

dying for more
I live Lexie Winston. I think she’s a very talented author. That being said I hate how short the books have been ! It’s killing me!

This book was just as good as the first but it feels like there’s so much going on that very obvious are being skipped that it’s making things a bit predictable. With the ‘new friends’ I can already see a few ways this is going to fall out and while it’s probably going to end well, it’s frustrating to already see it when Tori doesn’t. Also Gio is a big frustration in this book and it feels a bit like a 180 flip from how he was in the first book.
I’m still excited for the next book but I can already predict quite a bit of what will happen sadly.

Wow! This book had everything I look for in a book, it had action, plenty of 🔥 scenes and we learned so much more about Tori and some of the reasons she feels the way that she does.
As Tori enters into a new and vastly different relationship she starts to question her previous way of life, question the people and relationships she either valued or undervalued. This is creating a wary and slight overview of where she is in her life, and where she wants to be.
Join Tori and her new and expanded group of people that she is learning to love in this fantastic 2 nd book of this series.

fantastic second book in the series
This book was better than the first. It hooked me from the start, and I was so disappointed when I got to the last page. I am hoping we don’t have to wait too long for the next one. Lots of character evolvement in this one. Some were predictable and some were angering. I have lots of questions about so many moving pieces. I really wish they would start to deal with Stacey though. That seems to be dangling out there when it really should have been taken care of. But I assume that will be part of the plot conflict in the future. I really can’t get this book out of my head. Fantastic job!

In Secrets Kept, my heart broke for Tori and her family and all they lost. This book picks right back up and is a sexy, hot, fast paced story.
Tori’s relationship with Sage changes and I for one, am freaking glad for it❤️🔥. Her trust is so broken by Stacey but she takes some sound advice and realizes she doesn’t want to let her past dictate her future. She also begin to open herself and her heart up to a sexy quad that is interested in her and Sage.
But someone is still out to get the Rossi family and boy there is a cliff hanger. I can’t wait for the next book!

Worth more than 5 Stars!
This book did not disappoint. Tori is such a strong FMC. As a Mafia Princess she is a tough, badass woman that had been burned a few times in the past. It is a big step for her to consider trusting others and being open to new relationship. The men in this book are sexy and I love that Lexie added in a hot women to tempt Tori into a relationship also. I can’t wait for book 3 to see how her relationships progress and see who ends up being part of Tori’s harem!

omg!!!! freaking amazing
This series is phenomenal. It’s different and sexy and suspenseful all wrapped in one. It sucks you in from the very beginning and takes you on one hell of an emotional roller coaster and leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat just so you can find out more. Truly amazing. That ending though!!!! Can not wait for the next book. I would completely stay immersed in this world all the time if it was possible. Highly recommend this series! The author has truly out done herself with it for sure.

Ugh!!!
Ugh! That cliffhanger was a true killer! This series is definitely on the darker side, but I love it. I find it hilarious when the mafia Princess calls her bodyguards' Dean and Sam' and always correct people with "They're my henchmen". With all the serious topics there is also some levity, it makes for a decent balance, that I appreciate. The story itself is intriguing, the personalities of each character is distinct and interesting and honestly I can't wait for the next book to come out!

This is the first series I’ve read by Lexie Winston and I will be checking out more shortly!! I really enjoyed the character progression in book 2 especially with the FMC. This is the first poly book I’ve read that expresses the struggles of figuring out your own sexuality and a woman realizing she’s also into men, it was beautifully written.
I wasn’t sure about some of the darker themes in the book at first but the author does a good job expressing black and white lines through the characters’ moral composes. I’m excited for book 3!!!

I love this book! And I love this author. This series has become a favorite of mine. I like how the relationships are developing and we are seeing different sides to each character. I like how the characters are staying true to what you would expect given past history. I love that a woman is taking on what is traditionally a man’s role and she is thriving. It is fabulous. I am so excited for the next book to be released and so sad that I’ll have to wait for it.

I wasn’t expecting the ending. I had to reread the last page to fully understand. Tori, is starting to grow as person and her brother isn’t. I wish Tori would fake his death and set him up to live a happy life with his girlfriend. Sage, has become one of my favorite characters. Vienna, is pushy and that drives me crazy. I know her intentions seem pure but there are things missing

I Need Part Three
This series is getting so good. I love Tori and Sage. I'm scared to trust Tristan and his gang although they seem genuine. It's just something in the back of my mind telling me that they are hiding something. I'm so over Gio at this point. He's not handling his business as a boss should so I don't think he needs the title if he can't do the job. He's to love struck it seems. I'm still waiting on Stacey to get hers, she really irks my soul.💜💜

Lexie has done it again. This book sucked me in and I didn't want the story to end. Loved the introduction of Tori's love interests and it's awesome to see her relationship with Sage progress and get stronger as the story moves forward. Just the right amount of story, drama and spice. The book does end on a slight cliffy, but I'd expect nothing less😂😂😂. Highly recommend this series

“Lies Untold” continues Tori’s story. So much of this book is edge of your seat, just waiting to see what’s going to happen next. It’s like an adrenaline rush. I seriously don’t know who to trust. I think I’ve wanted Gio punished as bad as Stacey! This is the second mafia RH I’ve read this week and I’m kinda mad that I’ve been sleeping on them. Don’t be like me, jump on in. It’s fantastic!

The only thing I don’t know which I like is what’s happening with Gio but he is being a royal pain right now.

This book far surpassed my expectations. They dynamic between tori and her friends is amazing. Her thirst to keep the family one is priceless. She is a strong woman coming from something’s tragic. The ending was absolutely the best I had to go back and read it again. Can’t wait for the next book!

I enjoyed this part of the story, even if I start to dislike some of the characters in this book. There are some unexpected surprises, but a few aspects have been predictable as well. I just have to know what’s happening next. I can’t wait to start the next book and this one is a five stars for me.

I really like this series. After the tragedy of book 1, the Russo kids are starting to live again. I'm proud of Tori and Sage communicating and also with their new friends. The mystery is good but not overly complicated, and the danger feels real.

Lies Untold is the second book in the Broken Promises series, a mafia RH romance. It is packed with action and heat. I like that there was more revealed about Tori. I enjoyed how the relationships are developing. This is an amazing continuation of Tori and her men's story.

Tori is such as badass fmc. She's been through so much and be ause of that she doesn't trust easily and it takes a lot for her to open up. Being a mafia princess isn't an easy life, but some pretty cool people are being put into her path. Can't wait to see what the next book brings!
