The Don

Rate this book
Why choose between Heaven and Hell when you can have both? And possibly a few things in between?
I’m Vanessa and I have this thing I do that brings out the inner beauty in people. Can’t really explain it; I just do it — but my talent seems to have ticked off a goddess or two.
And I’ve no idea why.
My first major lesson in life came when my billionaire father left us — with nothing.
Thanks, Dad.
That’s when I realized there are only two types of men: angels and — yeah — the other “A” word.
Mind you, I’m about to meet a few guys who might, actually, be both.
Hard to imagine, huh?
First off, Grey. He’s the Don of the Underworld. And being an a-hole is pretty much part of the job. But as you might imagine, he’s sexy as Hell.
Then, there’s Aroz — literally an angel — with the whole nine yards…golden wings, lusty love arrows, and to-die-for lips as curvaceous as his well-strung bow…which isn’t the only thing of his that’s well-strung, by the way.
And finally, Raef. Meeting him turned my attitude toward men on its head. And as good as forced me to add a third category to the list. Gentlemen.
Now, I’ve got three categories and three sexy-as-sin men.
Well, I guess there are worse problems to have…
Oh, wait. I might have a few of those, too.

The Don is a hot and steamy Why Choose? novel and the first story in the Her Three Immortals series.
**Warning: contains sexual situations, explicit language and is somewhat cliffhangery.

The Don is the first book in Her Three Immortals series by Hazel Storm. This was such a fun story to read. When I read the blurb I just knew I had to read it. I am happy to say that it was everything I expected, and more. This is a sexy paranormal reverse-harem romance, with a very captivating storyline.
Grey is the Don of the Underworld, on a mission to collect as many souls as he can. That means spending a month in the mortal realm. But things are about to get interesting. Vanessa’s younger brother is gravely ill and she will do everything she can to find a cure. Has the solution to her problem just moved in across the street? But things are not quite what they seem. Get set for some fun and drama.
Told from several POV’s, with a bit of a cliffhanger, fantastic world building, and interesting characters- this story is well worth the read.
Can’t wait to dive into Book #2!

Thank you, Hazel Storm!

When I first picked this book I thought ‘The Don, has to be mafia, download’

Boy was I wrong but in a good way. This book includes, Gods, Demi-gods and if you know more about mythology then I do(and you don’t have to Google during the book) it pulls in real stories and ties in great characters.

⭐️ Raef 🥵 is my favorite right now.
⭐️ Grey(Hades) is ok, he’s more of an alpha-hole in this book but I have a feeling he softens up.
⭐️ Vanessa is the H and I love 🥰 her from the moment she was introduced; such a heart of gold and her family is #1.

I can not tell if this is going to be a RH, which would be fabulous, 🙌🏻 Or a love 💕 triangle.

Either way, I am here for it and I can not wait to keep reading this series.

The Don is the first book in the Her Three Immortals series. It ends in a cliffhanger so it’s not really a standalone.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked up this book, but it turned out to be a great read. The characters were easy to vibe with and the story line was intricate enough to keep me interested. This series is a unique depiction of the gods and demigods.
You’ll definitely want the second book in your library to start it immediately after this one.

This book was great. I very much enjoyed it. My first book from this author, and I’m here, waiting for book two! This one does end on a cliffhanger, and I’m not spoiling it.

Score: 6.5/10
Would reread: no

I really wish I would have enjoyed this more than I did. This fantasy RH story gives us an "ordinary" girl that is not ordinary and seems like will eventually catch 3 brothers that are gods or demigods. There were lots of elements that had the potential to impress me, yet none managed to be more than average.

The world-building felt flimsy and complicated. While the concept seemed extremely enticing, the delivery was lacking. It is a bit unclear what everyone's power is and how they got it/inherited it. Another thing that is fuzzy for me is whether people are immortals on Earth, or mortals on Earth.

In terms of bedroom scenes, this is where the book sort of redeemed itself. There seems to be a whole theme of dream sex. As in a vast amount of the intimate scenes took place in the dreamland. The only thing I found highly peculiar in the romance area was that while the brothers proclaim hate or warry of each other, they are all for sharing the heroine.

Overall, I felt like some of the scenes were really long even though they were adding nothing to the story, whilst others were simple mentions. I enjoyed the concept of the book and, even though the story did not sweep me off my feet, I would like to give the second book a try. Hopefully, The God won't be a total failure and will at least maintain the same level as The Don.

'The Don' is the first book of Hazel Storm’s 'Her Three Immortals' series starring beautician Vanessa Maan and her sudden embroilment in the lives of three beautiful Gods— Grey, the Don of the Underworld, Aroz, a harbinger of love, and Raef, the sauve billionaire. Dark and sensual, Storm depicts a mortal world that Gods and Goddesses alike treat as their own personal playground while also intricately weaving details about the Upperworld and Underworld— the realms of the immortal and dead— into her story in a manner that isn’t hamfisted and jarring. By the end of the book, I had a clear understanding as to how these celestial worlds worked— from the operation of the afterlife down below all the way up to the complicated politics and tense relationships between the deities above the clouds. The way Storm brings these worlds to life through vivid descriptions and colourful characters- almost so much so that I believed they could be real— is an attestation to her expertise and talent.

Of course, a book revolving around three ‘sexy-as-sin’ Gods is only as good as the men themselves and 'The Don' certainly delivers on all fronts, Grey, Aroz and Raef, despite being half-brothers, couldn’t be more wildly different from each other, thus making them unique and distinct. It’s undeniable that each of them are handsome, but their beauty isn’t just skin deep— they’re rich and interesting characters beyond a surface level and this is conveyed through Storm’s use of multiple perspectives throughout the book. Grey, Aroz and Raef all have chapters dedicated to telling the events of the story through their eyes, allowing readers to grasp how they specifically feel in the moment and to better discern their motives and circumstances. It’s a tool that Storm uses skillfully to drive the narrative forward and explore experiences and the world beyond Vanessa Maan.

This brings me to what is by far 'The Don’s' greatest strength— Vanessa Maan herself. It’s no surprise why our heroine has captured the attention of some of the most attractive bachelors around- she is a truly kind and good soul whose goal in life is to bring a touch of joy and beauty into the lives of others and to assist her younger brother in any way she can. Storm crafts Vanessa in such a way that makes readers sympathise with her plight and root for her to find her happily ever after. That’s not to say that Vanessa is a meek wallflower— she is proactive and takes destiny into her own hands which makes her all the more compelling. Her tenacity, wittiness and heart is echoed and bolstered by the characters around her— from interactions with her adoring brother and mother to the banter with the old ladies that frequent her salon and her exquisite fashion sense, Vanessa’s vibrant personality shines. Picking up the second book is therefore a must if only to follow the next steps in Vanessa’s journey.

All-in-all, 'The Don' is not a book to pass over. If you’re in the market for some steamy romance entangled in a web of feuding Gods and Goddesses, then this story will fill that quota.

This book is only for those over 18 due to its adult content.

Vanessa Maan is a woman who can bring out the beauty in those around her and her job as a hairdresser and beautician enables her to do this, but since her dad died and left her family nothing, apart from his car “Dante” she has lost faith in men, they are all either angel’s or another type of word beginning with a! However, she has her mum and her brother who love her as much as she loves them and it is the only thing keeping them going with him not being well.

When she is returning home one day, she is nearly run over by her neighbour’s son, but he is not what she remembers of him, btu when she sees who is moving into his old room, she realises that her new neighbour is hot as hell and when she is introduced to him, she feels a strange connection to him which she cannot explain, the problem is that he feels the same, but because he is Grey, the Don of the Underworld and god of excess, he knows he needs to stay away from her. Meanwhile, when Vanessa makes a trip to New York for a couple of meetings, she is caught in a snowstorm, this is where she runs into Raef, he is handsome and sexy, but he is also one of the men which her mother warned her away from, however, he treats her just like a gentleman would and takes her for coffee and dinner, plus organises a hotel for her for the night and escorts her there where they swap numbers, but unknown to her, he is also part god.

After the snowstorm passes and Vanessa makes it back to work, albeit a bit late, it isn’t the welcome she expects when it isn’t her boss who confronts her about it, it is apparently a woman whom she has employed as their new assistant manager, but she is regarded coldly and cannot understand why, but she apologises and puts it behind her and gets on with her day. As time passes, she spends more time with Raef and he helps her with some of the problems she is up against, things at work also turn from bad to worse, but she has no idea why, this is when Aroz turns up and puts a spoke into the mix, he is an angel of love with heavenly looks and wings to match and he is an angel with a mission and Vanessa is firmly in his sights.

What will happen when all three of these sexy men come into Vanessa’s life, will it be heaven, hell or something in between? This is a steamy romance with as much trouble as there is lust, where making choices may just be the hardest thing on earth to do.

This book ends on a cliffhanger, so if you are not into those this may not be the book for you. The blurb sounded pretty interesting and for the most part the book was interesting at times. Vanessa is a hairdresser, who along with her mother is trying to save her little brother who has terminal cancer. The world is looking pretty bleak when she has her first encounter with Grey. Grey being the god of excess has sworn off all excesses, now he has finally met someone that he may break his long fast for and he’s in a bit of quandary.

Vanessa literally runs into Raef and discovers he’s Grey’s half-brother. While she notices there are similarities with the brothers there are enough differences that she is finding it hard to decide which one she would love to lose her inhibitions with.

We meet Aroz and learn a little about him but he isn’t at this point really connected other than being the other half brother to Grey and Raef.

Grey is painted as a bit of a hard A type, Raef has his foxish qualities but he is very much intrigued by Vanessa enough to curb his love and leave them ways.

The story is actually pretty sweet, if a bit drawn out. The heat level is mild, a few kisses and some steamy dreams but no real clothing removal or actual physical stuff.

Vanessa has a light about her that makes her and her client’s glow. Her inner beauty has captivated all of the men as they try to ponder their mysterious attraction to her. Her little brother Piper is a sweet young man and you are rooting for him make it.

There are parts of the story that’s very sweet and chivalrous, a little bit of eroticism, parts that are convoluted, and some that take you back to high school and the mean girl attitudes. Unfortunately, after the big build up to something finally happening the story then ends on a cliffhanger. Hopefully we get more in book 2. My concern is since things were dragged out in book one, that means that things will be rushed toward the end of book 2 to fit everything in, because Vanessa has not met Aroz and there hasn’t been anything more than a few kisses although there is some erotic thoughts and dreams.

I received an ARC of this book and I am leaving a voluntary review.

This was my first Hazel Storm novel and my first novel based on Greek Mythology, needless to say, I am hooked on both! While it has 220 pages, The Don felt like a shorter story in all the best ways! When it comes to the character development, plot speed, and world-building, Storm dives straight in to give you an immediately vivid experience from the first page. The story has a quick but well-developed arch that keeps moving without feeling rushed at all and the perfect amount of steam to keep you wanting more. My only head-scratcher came when Raef explained gods to Van, she asked a legitimate question and was given an honest answer, but it didn't shock her in the least...which it should have unless gods are an accepted part of society in her world...but they weren't to my knowledge. So that made me wonder, but I decided maybe gods weren't a complete unknown and went with it. Overall, it is a great quick read, and I CAN NOT wait to read The God, The Bow, and The Box!!
For The Don, Van is my favorite character, she seems real, relatable, genuine, and has some snarky internal dialogue. She is full of love for her family and has a huge heart towards all her salon's clients, but more than that she is just a genuinely good person that you want to succeed in life. But this is where Storm decided to have some fun! A beautiful heroine with a heart of gold meets three half-brothers who shake up her life completely. The Don of the Underworld, an Angel, and a demi-god of Earth oh my! Grey is sexy, intriguing, and frustrating, Raef is thoughtful, handsome, a true gentleman, and we don't know a lot about Aroz yet, but a little fat baby cupid has nothing on this tall drink of water! Like I already said, I cannot wait to read The God next because I have to find out what happens between Van and her men! (FYI: So far this is not a menage’ book or even really a reverse harem or really a love triangle…I’m not sure what it is exactly…but I’m loving it!!)

I absolutely loved The Don by Hazel Storm! I didn’t want to stop reading once I started and I’m dying for more! I loved most of the characters, especially Grey!
It’s an interesting mix of the Greek gods and goddesses and mortal beings, that I was skeptical about going into but it all works!
Grey the Don of the underworld, has to enter the overworld(which would be the plain we exist on) to renegotiate a soul contract with a mortal named Dorian. While listening to what Dorian proposes he spots and notices the neighbor across the street Vanessa. He’s drawn to her more than he wants to be. For a god who has abstained for over 2 centuries his draw to her, he feels could break his vow of abstinence. Will Grey play with fire? Will he stay away from Vanessa? Does Grey take Dorian up on his proposal? I encourage you to pick this book up and find out.
There’s also Vanessa, a hairdresser by trade, who would do anything to save her brother Piper from his terminal cancer diagnosis. She runs into some deep issues at work, when the new office manager insists the facial and hair care products she’s using are leading to the deaths of her clients. Vanessa is very aware and captivated by Grey. She also meets and starts dating Grey’s half brother Rafe. When she starts dreaming about both of them together she starts to wonder what it would be like.
Will Vanessa get stuck in a love triangle? Does she save Piper? Is she really the cause of her clients' deaths?
Please please please, I beg you to get involved in this story! There’s lots of interesting and witty characters, but the author makes it easy to follow them all! You will not be disappointed!

This book was a quick read, I devoured it in one day! The Don is book one of four in the Her Three Immortals series by Hazel Storm. It took a hot second to get into and become acquainted with the characters and point of views but I was quickly hooked. I love stories that put me in the perspective of all the characters.

I adore a strong protagonist that is different and has flaws; Vanessa is such a great character that is so easy to relate to and connect with. She loves her family so much she would literally die for them. She faces so many obstacles and really has the odds against her. Luckily she has some saucy men around to spice up her dreams.

This author must love strong women, because all her female characters are badasses. Even the "villains" are exploding in conference that makes me have to take a step back and say, "dang girl, you a bad b*tch, psycho, but ambitious!".

The gentleman in this story had me intrigued! There is a LOT to unpack here! I won't give spoilers but I don't think anyone is a loser here (well, Dorian is). I have no idea which God I'm rooting for..am I on Team Raef-billionaire, bright, knight in shining Armani suit, or Team Grey-dark, sexy, mysterious, solve your problems with a kiss? Then throw Aroz into the mix, I'm not even sure what mischief he's going to cause yet, but I have a feeling his role isn't over!

Did I mention this book ends on a bit of a cliff hanger?! Any idea where I can get a round trip ticket to the underworld; I can't wait to see what happens next in book two, The God.

Vanessa is a hard-working hairdresser trying to make life a little easier for her mother and her sick brother, Piper. Piper is a twelve year old with cancer...and the doctors have recently told the family that he does not have much time left. Vanessa will do whatever she can in order to save her brother's life. When a stranger moves in across the street...and strange things start happening in her world...she is determined to find out if the stranger is good or bad...and can he help her?
Grey comes to the human realm to renegotiate a contract...and is immediately intrigued by Vanessa. Although she is distracting, in a good way, he needs to stay focused on his task. Vanessa has also caught the attention of a couple of other people. First is Grey's half-brother, Raef. Raef wants to help Vanessa in her battle to save her brother...and keep her out of Grey's clutches. Another person who has their eye on Vanessa is Aroz's mother...the goddess of beauty. She wants Vanessa out of the picture...and sends Aroz to make it happen as only he can.
There are so many things going on in this story and they all come to a head at the end of the book. Spoiler alert...it ends in a bit of a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to reading the next book to see what happens next. I really found myself wrapped up in each of the characters and their individual storylines that are all connected in a way...just not quite sure of how yet.
Overall, an interesting story that is different from what I usually read...but such a good story!

The Don was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning.

Vanessa is a hairstylist trying to earn extra money to find a Doctor that can help her brother. She loves making her clients look beautiful. She also has a specific view on men, there are two types, angels and a-holes.

Grey is the Don of the Underworld, when he comes to earth to renegotiate a contract he meets Van. There is something special about her that has him changing his plans and he rents a room from her neighbor. When Van sees Grey she can see a glow around him and an attraction to him, who is he?

Van also meets Raef who happens to be drawn to her as well and wants to help her. They end up seeing more of each other and he is starting to show Van there may be more than two types of men.

Will she be able to get the help her brother needs before it's too late?

Overall I really enjoyed this read, I felt like there were several stories going on and they connected well. I have to say the dreams she had were hot as heck. All of the characters added a great element to the story. I’m torn between Grey and Raef, they both were hot and I just can’t quite make up my mind on my favorite. We do get a heck of a cliffhanger at the end that left me in shock. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series to see what happens next. Despite the title making this book seem like a mafia book, it’s not. Grey is the “Don of the Underworld,” come to earth to barter vices so he can collect 100 souls. Once on earth Grey meets Vanessa, a hairdresser who seems otherworldly, and is desperately trying to find a way to save her 12 year-old brother who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

This is a why-choose romance, where we’re introduced to Grey, Raef, and briefly, Aroz, all sons of an all powerful god, Zeus, though he’s not specifically named.

I’m typically a fan of the Greek Mythos, as well as why-choose or Reverse Harem romances, therefore I’m really enjoying this series. I enjoyed getting to know the men and see how they reacted to Vanessa. There’s of course Grey, and his abstinent ways. He comes across as an ass at times but he has his reasons. Raef is like the perfect billionaire you didn’t know existed, and only does in romance novels. He’s sweet, caring, and oh no hot for Vanessa. Then there’s Aroz, who just wants to see Vanessa so he can know who is making his mother crazy, but of course he messes things up by shooting one of his arrows. We’ll just have to see what transpires next with him.

While there are some spicier scenes I enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t overdone and was more of a tease to whet the appetite. I can’t wait to see where this series goes and how it all plays out in the end.

Book 1 does end on a semi-cliffhanger, but there is a sneak-peek of book 2, so not a complete cliffy.

This was a story that I really enjoyed. It is a captivating read that leaves you wanting more. I love the leading lady Vanessa. I love her determination to save her brother and her drive. She has been burnt by love in the past and is wearing the scars to prove it.

The 3 men we get introduced to in this story are very unique in their own right but they all have one thing in common. They see something special in Vanessa.

Grey is the Don of the underworld. He rules over the dead souls of people who have been bad in their life. He collects the souls and send them to be tortured forever. On his trip to renegotiate a contract he meets Vanessa. He doesn't know why he's drawn to her. Her soul is pure so definately not what he's looking for but the pull won't go away.
Reaf  has lived in the human world and has made his fortune there. He feels the attraction to Vanessa and is determined to prove that not all men are bad like her father.

And finally we have Aroz. He is an angel/cupid. But is he as angelic as he seems.

Vanessa finds her self in the middle of these brothers. All of them have different ideas about what and who she is and all of them have different reasons for being attracted to her but which one will be the right choice. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

OK. So I went into this book thinking it was a mafia romance. I mean, it's titled The Don. I kinda glossed over the description (I might have had a couple of cocktails) and completely misled myself. My bad. So, this is a paranormal romance. When I started reading the book, which takes place both in the Underworld and the NYC area of present, I was kinda like...oh, crap. This ain't my jam. I was honestly going to scrap it. But a few pages in I had a few giggles and was sucked into the story.
This is not the vampire and wolves type paranormal, but based on Greek Mythology, which I found to be very clever, and pretty accurate, as far as my meager Mythology education goes. It doesn't get too heavy into the mythology. Just enough to make it fresh and interesting and create a fun plot.
Hardly any steam, but this is the first of a trilogy and relationships have still yet to be brought to fruition. Hopefully that will pick up in the next book.
I am a fan of the FMC, as she is smart, loyal, funny and a bit snarky. I'm interested to see where this story goes. I enjoyed this book and I'm definitely interested in reading the next book in the series.
I was sent a free book and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

The Don by Hazel Storm

4 out of 4 stars

This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Storm and it was interesting and unique. I can’t wait to read book two in this series. The characters are great and strong minded and the way they play of each other is awesome. This is a sexy paranormal reverse-harem romance, with a very captivating storyline that I enjoyed a lot…

We meet Vanessa she works as a hairdresser/ beautician and her job enables her to bring out the beauty in those around her but since her fathers passing and left her family with nothing, she has come to realize there are two types of men there an Angle and then there’s the devil.

Now Vanessa has three sexy-as-sin men

Grey he the Don of the Underworld.

Then we have Aroz he is literally an angel with the whole nine yards…golden wings, lusty love arrows, and to-die-for lips as curvaceous as his well-strung bow…which isn’t the only thing of his that’s well-strung, by the way.

And last, we have Raef. Meeting him turned her attitude toward men on its head. And as good as forced her to add a third category to the list. Gentlemen.

What more can a girl want with these three men...

I highly recommend this book…

The Don (Her Three Immortals Book 1) by Hazel Storm
3 Stars

This is my first book by this author. Although this should be a reverse harem, it is very tame. Nothing much happens aside from a few kisses and some erotic thoughts. Grey is the Don of the Underworld and is hot as hell (pun intended). Raef is a Demi god and is just as beautiful. Aroz is an angel, golden wings and all. All three are attracted to the same lovely lady. Vanessa has an inner beauty that spreads to everyone that she touches. Unknowingly she gets on the bad side of the goddess of beauty. Having the wrath of a god against her puts her in mortal danger. With her brother terminally ill, she has tried everything to save him. Will she have to make a deal with the devil?

I like the main characters and am happy that the author integrated some Greek mythology into the story. It was refreshing and it’s something that I love. The premise of the story is interesting but I found it somewhat slow. The book ends on a cliffhanger which I never particularly like. I think the series has potential and I want to see what happens next so I will be looking for part two.

Vanessa is a hairdresser and just wants her younger brother, Piper, to feel better. When her neighbor has a conversation with a good looking man, she becomes intrigued by him. What she doesn't know is that he negotiates contracts with humans for their souls. While in New York City, looking for a doctor who can help her brother, she runs into his half brother and is also intrigued by him. Lurking closeby is yet another brother and each brother's mother (who btw are not at all interested in Vanessa staying around.)
Opinion
I've read a lot of books that focus on Greek/Roman gods and demigods. This one takes on a new approach where the MC is interested in multiple brothers. She is pretty wholesome, which shouldn't interest at least one brother, but they are interested.
The style of writing is completely fluid with short(ish) chapters. While I can see someone reading this book in small bursts, I personally read it in almost one setting. It has been quite a while since I have read a book without taking breaks. I enjoyed this book tremendously and anticipate the next two (which will be read within the next two days if I have anything to say about it.)

This story is different than other paranormals I have read. I loved that about it. It really kept me on my toes not knowing who or what was going to happen next. We get to meet all three gods (well one demigod) but learn the most about Grey. I just never knew where she stood with him. He likes her but from afar. He stays focused on business. He protects her from everyone but himself. Then there is Raef aka the gentleman. Thats truly what he seems to be. We get to know that side of him but I am sure there is another we haven't seen yet. Then there is a few brief encounters with Aroz. I don’t have enough to form an opinion yet but it seems he doesn’t do much without his momma’s direction.

Overall this is a great eye catching story. It didn’t disappoint and kept me curious throughout. Wondering…always wondering. Will she? Won’t she? And now what happens next? While this does end with everything up in the air. The back of the book does have a few chapters into book 2. Which literally continues where this book leaves off. I cant wait to dive in!

Surprised would be an understatement! I elected to pick this novel up mainly for the steamy synopsis, and the want to get down and dirty with my next read, and, seemed like the premise would make for an easy read. I was right about one of those things. This book is full of steamy, surprising encounters, which truly does keep you on your toes, and leave you wanting to know more about each of the brothers. Of course, Mr. Fox piqued my interest, given his personality, the way he showed how much he cared for Vanessa, and her brother Piper, and his overall wanton to help. Grey keeps you quite intrigued, as he pulls the mysterious card, and plays that quite well. You can tell he also has a big heart, but due to his problem with excess, he keeps that hidden behind locked walls. This first book in Her Three Immortals series really got me out of my comfort zone in the way of genre’s, and I am very excited to start her second novel in the series. I can’t imagine what kind of hell Vanessa will bring to, well, Hell! Amazing job, Hazel Storm, well done. Highly recommend!

This book had me captivated from the beginning. Like the stay up all night to binge read kind of good. I was so hooked that I didn't even realize the end was coming until it did and now I'm left here impatiently waiting for book two.

The character and world building Hazel Storm has done is amazing. Nothing is rushed and there is so much more to learn and find out in the next book. Each character has so much personality and soul especially the main character Vanessa. I just love her! She is caring and kind but funny and strong too.
She is a hairdresser who has a knack for bringing out peoples inner beauty. With her life turned upside down, difficult choices ahead and a new love growing she has to decide if her sacrifice is something she is willing to make.

This is a slow burn novel with the only downside being that the RH side of the story hasn't really taken off yet. However, I defintley think that will be picking up in book two. I cannot wait to see where Hazel Storm takes these characters next!

I absolutely love that Hazel Storm has made Greek Gods characters in her stories. This book had me seriously glued to it from start to finish. I literally could not put it down because I wanted to find out what would happen next. I found myself immersed in another world, experiencing all of the different emotions that Vanessa felt as she found herself drawn to two people that are complete opposites. Raef is pure and light like Vanessa, and Grey is dark and dangerously sexy. Both of them are irresistible in their own ways.
I really enjoyed how this book made me ponder life after death and just what awaits you at the end of this lifetime. It does so in a way that steals your breath away and leaves you on the edge of your seat the entire time. I smiled, laughed, teared up and gasped with shock at various parts of this book. This amazing story will run you through the entire gamut of emotions. My mouth was wide open at the twist ending and I am so looking forward to the next book in this series. Do yourself a favor and get lost in the world that Hazel Storm has so eloquently created.

Different but intriguing

After swing a recent invade of Hades romances, I thought I'd step into the gods world and try this book. Although not about hades, but the sons of gods, this story involves grey. The son of the underworld and God of ecstasy. Needing an influx of souls, he comes up to the mortal realm to bargain with a lowlife for more time in exchange for one hundred souls. While collecting grey comes across vanessa, the girl across the street. She has a glow, aura, something that draws him in. Vanessa is an innocent soul wanting nothing more than to spread beauty and happiness and also heal her I'll brother. Between godly brothers and demi gods, vanessa becomes a victim of jealousy and soon seems to cloud the young woman. I was groped throughout this book. Wondering which brother could claim her and pull her in a different direction. If you fancy something different, I would suggest this book. There are lots of different pov's but Phelps to explain the pull this woman has to the gods and visa versa. Can't wait to start book two, to see what happens next.

My first read from this author

I haven’t read anything published by this author until this book. So far I really like the plot and the premise of the series with souls contracts, gods, and plenty of drama and rivalry. The characters all seem well developed but I did feel as if Raef was more of the spotlight character in this book. That may change with each book released focusing more so on one of the other male characters than the other.

The only complaint I had is that certain scenes or revelations were somewhat skimmed over and not really addressed. For a family of mortals without any knowledge of gods and supernatural happenings, they all seemed to be rather accepting of who Grey and Raef are and what they do. Hardly no questioning or moments of disbelief, just a quick explanation and they all took it at face value. It just seemed unlikely and not a believable reaction.

Overall, I enjoyed the story and the characters the author has crafted. I would definitely recommend to readers who like RH, gods, and a dashing of drama.

4 1/2 stars This was my first book I've read by this author who wrote a serial reverse harem. This story is about Vanessa a hairdresser who has a gift of making her customers glow who has a younger brother, Piper, who is dying from cancer and Grey the Don of the Underworld who moves next door with his brothers, Raef and Aroz. Vanessa desperate to save her brother is given a deal by Grey that she must give her soul for him to save her brother. Will she sacrifice her soul? Beware of Gods granting Gifts. This paranormal romance book was a enjoyable read for me since I like any books on mythology especially about references on the Underworld, the characters were likable and this first part introduces the characters involved and it kept my interest as I read. I look forward to see these characters development toward a Quad relationship in the future books and it's outcome. I volunteer to read and review this ARC via Hidden Gems.

5 stars!

Excellent! I need the next book now! The story is something new and different that I haven’t seen before. Sweet Vanessa is beautiful inside and out and is like an angel on earth, so to know she is struggling trying to fight for her brother’s condition, and seeing all she has to put up with at her job just hurts my heart. I’m in love with Raef, he fell in love so hard, so fast and will do anything for Vanessa, Grey on the other hand, knows he feels something for Vanessa but doesn’t really show it on the outside except in the form of small instances where he protected her in his own way. Vanessa makes a decision that she thinks is the best option but did not discuss it with her mom or Raef, and the way they both reacted made my heart melt. I seriously can’t wait for the next book to see what happens in Vanessa’s journey and to see what will come of her relationship with the boys.

The Don, book 1 of Her Three Immortals series by Hazel Storm was a quick read but left me wanting more!
I was not ready for it to end!! I love the multiple point of views from several of the characters.

Vanessa is a hairdresser and loves being able to bring out the inner beauty of her clients. It is what she's good at. But it could also mean competition to others in the beauty industry.
Grey is The Don of the Underworld and is in town on business. Moving in across the street from Vanessa is just a perk.
Raef is Grey's half-brother, a very sexy billionaire that is proving to Vanessa that not all financially successful men are A-holes, or are they?

Vanessa has some issues in her home life and just as these interesting men walk into her life her work life starts to suffer as well.
Can they help her? Is she willing to pay the price?

I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

All I can say is WOW! This book was a serious page turner that keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more.
Vanessa Maan is a hard working hairdresser who has a flair for making her client's inner beauty come to the surface. At home, she has a very sick younger brother who is battling cancer. Vanessa is a very relatable character who you can feel as though you could connect with.
Grey, Don of the underworld, has come to Earth to renegotiate a contract with a human and when he and Vanessa meet, sparks fly. On a trip to see a doctor in New York, Vanessa by chance runs into Grey’s brother Raef. Raef is a billionaire who aside from looking very much like Grey, is also immediately attracted to Vanessa.
Lots of twists and turns in this book and be ready for a cliffhanger at the end of this book. For me that didn’t detract from anything, this was still a great storyline and I will be looking forward to book 2!
