Sadie was in New York City going to college to be a veterinarian, and her brother had Harlow’s Coffee Shop in the city. I don’t know if I could have done what Sadie did to raise money to pay for her college. If Sadie and the person the tv show Games of Love paired her up with could fool people they were in love, then she would get $25,000. Connor and Sadie did not start off on a good note. To top it all, his father was a ruthless business man sho didn’t care who he hurt, even his son. I disliked the man immensely! I enjoyed watching Connor and Sadie get to know each other. It was heartwarming to see how Sadie’s family treated him like one of them. The poor guy had never been shown much love or acceptance of what he wanted. This is an interesting book that I encourage you to read. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
Reality TV show and special romance 4.5 It is a television show with a particular concept in which the characters must pretend to be together for several months to all their entourage, with a choice of the oriented cast: Sadie, a broke student who finds herself with Connor, the rich son of a businessman who wants to buy without any qualms, the business of Sadie's brother. It's a nice romance, with some hot parts. I expected more twists and turns from the reality TV context, but ultimately the twists come in another, more surprising way. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
This was a good read. Sadie and Connor are matched up for a show. They are living together. They weren't supposed to fall in love with each other. However, by the end that's exactly what happens. Luckily in the end they get their happy ending.
I was given an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review.
I really liked the premise of this one where Sadie and Connor met while participating in a reality show about fake dating. Seemed like a fun idea to see if they could pull off convincing their friends and family they were really dating. The characters were interesting and made you want to get to know them more. I really liked Sadie's family and her interactions with her Brother and SIL. Connor's dad on the other hand was not a pleasant person which was to show the contrast between the two worlds. Connor did not like his father and had trouble relating to him which Sadie picked up on soon after meeting each on the show. They both had different reasons for doing the show, which is where some conflict came from.
What I had a hard time with was Sadie flipping pretty quickly between liking Connor and not trusting him. The ending was also odd to me. There was a lot left untouched and never closed out which always leaves be a bit unsettled. The quick turnaround after the Fight to getting back together did not make sense to me. There was no conversation to clear up what happened so it didn't work for me that they ran back to each other. But maybe I missed a paragraph that hinted at something.
All in all it was a fun book if you want an easy read that is entertaining to escape reality for a bit.

Sadie Harlow sees an ad in the paper for a new reality show “Game of Love”, where you are paired up with a complete stranger and fake dating to win money, which she needs desperately to help pay off her student debt. Connor Lennox needs a ‘fake’ girlfriend in order to gain his inheritance. Can these two strangers pull it off... But were they really strangers to one another, they met before the show over spilled coffee... Was there an attraction right from the start. Will their attraction to one another keep their goal in sight or will love get in the way.
I will admit that the first couple of chapters of this book was kind of disjointed for me, but as the story went on and all the characters come together, the story grew on me. I like the premise of the story, although I am not a real lover of these types of reality shows. I never watch them, but reading is another story. I liked Sadie, I thought she was down to earth and had a good relationship with her family and her community. Connor on the other hand was a little hard to like at first and seeing his relationship with his father, he grew on me and I was rooting for him to find happiness. Connor and Sadie found the best in each other as the attraction to one another grew and the ‘show premise” lines were getting blurry and could they really go on with the “fake” dating...
Over all I enjoyed the book and once I got passed the beginning chapters I was glad, I finished reading this story.
Thank you, Sarah, for giving me a advance copy to read and review for my honest opinion
Verified ARC Reader Family meant everything for Sadie! by sewsummore
Sadie and Connor first met when they signed up as contestants for a new reality show called "Games of Love." where couples had to pretend to be in love and the winner was the couple who managed to sell the story best wins the prize money. Connor was the son of a billionaire and only wanted to meet a woman who would pretend to be is lover without any emotional ties. His father was dying and he hoped to prove that he had left his carefree bachelor life behind. Sadie was a University student struggling financially, and only wanted to win the prize money. Despite their difficult beginning, they soon became friends and then fell in love. This was not what either of them signed up for and Sadie feared that they would be disqualified. Their story contained several unexpected twists along the way that kept the story interesting, but shocked me just the same. Family was everything to Sadie, but Connor had been raised by a single parent who was more interested in making money than caring for his son. One of the things I liked most about the story was the change in Connor when he spent time with Sadie's family, the closeness between them and the out pouring of love and acceptance of Sadie and Connor's relationship. Their happy ending was a satisfying and rewarding conclusion to this story for me!

In this book we meet Sadie Harlow & Connor Lennox. Sadie is looking to join a reality show Game of Love. All she wants to do is be on the show win the money and help to pay off the cost of her student loan. When she moved to New York she and her father never realized how much getting her vet degree would cost. This show will help her win the money to pay off her loans and have a chance to upgrade her apartment. That is until she meets Connor and his father on different occasions both of them had left her wishing she had never met this family. She can't believe her fate though when she is paired with Connor. Connor is just looking to show his dad that he can get and keep a woman. His father is looking for him to ensure the next generation. The problem Connor has with this is he doesn't really even like his father when he resorts to underhand tactics. Can these two just win a game and prove to the people around them they are in love or will real feelings get in the way and change the game forever?
Amazing story. Has many ups and downs that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
This book starts off great because of how the two main characters started off.
You have Sadie Harlowe, who comes from a loving family who are always there for one another. Her mother died when her and her brother Oliver were young. She remembers her mother every day, and she loves getting to know people but don't make her mad because she can hold her own. She's in a tight spot financially and when an opportunity arrives to be in a reality show she jumps to it. So, while there, she bumps into a guy with the most amazing blue eyes but smells of money.
Then we have Connor Lennox, who only wants to please his father because it's like he's never been able to since his mother left them and never returned. He's only doing the reality show because he has something to prove to his father about being in a stable relationship. Then his father comes up with a crazy scheme to get some property and makes all this terrible stuff happens as soon as him and Sadie realizes that their feelings are strong.
Then from there there's more drama and I wanted more in the end, but it was still a good read. So, please read.

Get ready for Saddie and Connor!!! Saddie applies for the reality show Game of Love with full intentions of winning the money to pay for vet school. Connor applies to get his father off his back to settle down to inherit. Connor's dad is a real piece of work, stepping on people to get what he wants no matter the cost. When Saddie gets matched with the jerk she accidentally spilled hot chocolate on, she knows trouble is ahead. Connor needs to prove this fake relationship is real to his dad, even with the shows camera man around. As Saddie and Connor get to really know each other their chemistry only gets hotter. With all their inhibitions laid to rest they can go foward with a real relationship...or so they thought. Connor's dad wants Saddie's brothers coffee shop and nothing will stand in his way, does he have anything to do with Saddie and Connor's run of bad luck??? When the last brush of bad luck sends Saddie running out of Connor's life can he prove he is different from his dad??? Great characters from different lifestyles, no cheating, his/her POV with an eventual HEA!!! I recommend this MUST READ from Sarah J. Brooks. Looking forward to Sarah's next story!!!
Connor and Sadie got off on the wrong foot when they first crash into each other but they get stuck with each neal when they sign up for a fake dating reality show. Sadie needs the prize money and Connor wants to impress his dad who is saying he wouldn't let Connor inherit unless he was able to commit to a girlfriend. They spend some time with their families, the cameraman Alex, and alone in their own company, enough to fall in love. Eventually they get into a couple of threatening situations.
I liked the characters and the idea of faking a fake relationship seemed delightfully meta. But the entire fake dating show premise was a little fuzzy to me, the rules and all. I gather the contestants were supposed to fake a relationship well enough to fool the people in their lives. But what's to stop anyone from just asking their families to cooperate and pretend to be fooled? And Connor's reasons for taking part in the fake dating show seemed a little weird. If you want to impress your dad with a fake girlfriend, why do it on a TV show that will eventually out you two as fakers? Mightn't dad be upset? In the end, though, after all the commotion, the fate of the TV show and how their segment went down was left little vague.

When Sadie Harlow and Connor Lennox are paired as a couple on the reality show "Game of Love" they have to make it six months and at least pretend to be in a relationship, convincingly. Sadie needs to win the show/contest for the money so she can pay off some of her student debts and he needs to win to prove to his father that he can in fact have a serious relationship. What they both don't expect is what happens during the time they have to spend together, both good, bad, funny and emotional. Will six months find them winning in the Game of Love? I enjoyed this book, even though I personally hate "reality" shows and never watch any of them. This story is nicely crafted, has an engaging story-line and likeable characters. I was not completely sure about the premise of the show though, as it did not make a lot of sense to me about being matched with a complete stranger than then having to pretend to be in love. But aside from that it is an easy read.

Connor Lennox needs the money to get his father off his back and to receive his inheritance. Sadie needs the money to pay off her student debt. A reality show, Games of Love, offers a $25,000 prize to the winning "fake" couple who can act so well that they give the audience a reason to believe they're a real couple. Two strangers are paired together but there might be a little problem. Connor and Sadie have already met, thanks to their previous encounter with hot chocolate that slightly went awry. Wondering if that could get them disqualified, they nevertheless go along with the plan to act like a real couple as long as they can. One thing that Sadie's not so sure of is the fact that she and Connor have to live together, in the same apartment while the game goes on. She didn't count on this, but it's definitely going to cause a major change for them both. This is an amusing and cute story, with a small dose of angst thrown in. It has an enjoyable plot with relatable and lively characters, making for a good story.
I loved the premise for this book. Sadie and Connor meet on a reality show, though I couldn’t quite understand what the show was supposed to prove. They’re supposed to pretend to be a couple? And the winners are the ones who pretend the best? Would they get disqualified if they actually like each other? Or fell in love? I didn’t understand why they would be nervous about the camera’s seeing them actually getting along. And the author kept switching between Virginia and West Virginia as Sadie’s home state. If Sadie was from West Virginia, I doubt there would be a thunderstorm, complete with lightning, at Christmas. Most likely, a snow storm. But it’d be possible in southern Virginia, maybe. But, I put all those questions aside and enjoyed the relationship between Sadie and Connor blossom. Those questions and inconsistencies are why I gave it 4 stars.
This is a lovely story of accidental love. Sadie is looking to make some money to support herself through school. So she signs up for reality show Games of love. Where couples pretend to love each other for the prize. She is pared with Connor. Their first meeting does not go well. Connor is trying to pacify his controlling dad but getting and keeping a girlfriend. Of course things do not go to plan. Add in some twists and turns and this makes for an entertaining read. The supporting cast is interesting and fun to read. Good character detail and a story that kept me engaged. I definitely recommend this book and author. Sadie sees an ad for a reality show called Game of Love and the prize is a lot of money. She signs up to do it so if she wins her school loan debt can be paid off. Connor needs a fake girlfriend in order to get his inheritance, so he signs up for the show. The show pairs the couples up and it goes from there. Sadie and Connor are matched up. However, they aren't complete strangers they had met prior to the show. Soon its hard to believe they are pretending. Will this turn into something more for them?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

GAMES OF LOVE by Sarah J. Brooks This is an entertaining read that is a spoof on reality shows/documentaries. Connor and Sadie are the couple who get off to an awkward start when Sadie spills hot chocolate all over him on the sidewalk. Connor is a great guy who has family issues to deal with, Sadie is a broke college student who has a wonderful heart. This solid story is very well written with engaging secondary characters too. Sarah always brings the heat in her books too. This is a 5 star read. I very much enjoyed it.

Connor is in for a major change in his life as Sadie becomes his fake relationship. He has a miserable billionaire father who just takes what he wants without a thought. Sadie is grounded with a solid family and family values, needing money for vet school. The characters are terrific as they grow closer and more into each others lives. The storyline has plenty of drama, twists, tension, surprises, romance, and intense feelings. Loved the chemistry that grows and the changes that come with the relationship. Great ending.

What are the chances that two people like Sadie and Conner would be put together in a reality tv show. Sadie is going to vet school and needs money to help her finish. Conner is rich and doesn't need the money just a fake girlfriend to convince his dad he can have a good relationship in order to keep his inheritance. They get paired together, however, Sadie doesn't like wealthy people and she dislikes Conner in particular because of his attitude when they ran into each other and his coffee was spilled. I enjoyed the writing and the characters worked well together.

Signing up for a show and pretend to be in love with whom your paired with…what could go wrong? Connor wants his inheritance and Sadie want to get out of debt. These two were so fun to read. The chemistry between these two was always there. But they didn’t know one another that well. But as their relationship grew, so did their feelings. We have a little bit of danger thrown in too! Sarah did an amazing job writing this story. A story about taking chances. And those chances give us our HEA. I highly recommend this book!
I'll just say it right up front, I do NOT enjoy reality TV. This story however, may make me take another look. Sadie is in a fix and Connor needs to prove he's stable enough to inherit - a reality TV show will solve both of their problems. And you can imagine how two people with totally different lifestyles, goals, ambitions and attitudes living together for 6 months could be a real romp. The author does not disappoint. This was fun and funny and both characters start out in one place and manage to move to another. Total enjoyment.
This is a delightful book to read. Sadie Harlow decided to join a show called Games of love where you get paired with a stranger and pretend to be dating. The winners would get a cash prize. She ended up getting paired with Connor Lennox. Their story is fun and full of chemistry. There is also a small amount of danger thrown in that adds some surprise to the story. This is definitely a book you will want to read!
Connor and Sadie were two people put together for a dating game show. Sadie wanted to win the whole think so she could use the money to pay for her college loans. She would do anything to win. She got stuck with Connor but she didn’t care cause she was going to win, she was going to pretend to like him if it killed her. Will they be able to be fake for the tv show with no feelings getting involved. Read this book to find out.
This is how you spend a staycation. Games of Love is truly a wonderfully written book. Carson and Sadie are well thought out characters with just the right amount of Hot cocoa. lol

Sadie is a beautiful and unique kind of person, she knows what she wants and how to get it, so when she sees the opportunity to take part in a reality show and fake a relationship she jump to it instantly. Connor tries to impress his dad during a big part of his life and now, taking part in Games of Love is his last change to do it. This couple will find much more than they expect, love, hate and family.

Sadie needs money for college and Connor needs a girlfriend so he can get his inheritance. Two complete opposites come together and join a reality dating show hoping it will solve both their problems. When things take a fake to real turn Sadie and Connor end up finding love when they least expected it. This is a well written romance with likable characters and a great storyline. Sadie signs up for a reality show but is shocked when she is paired with the rude guy she bumped into the night before. As part of the show, the two must live together and convince their friends and family that they’re in love. This fun story takes through the trials of living with a stranger and pretending to be madly in love.

"Games of Love" has an enjoyable plot with relatable characters. I really liked Sadie's sweetness and how Connor's character improved when he spend time with Sadie's family. However, I found the book a little way too descriptive at times, thus my rating. But overall it was a nice story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a free copy of this book that I received from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Of course he was the catalyst in having him sign up for the games of love t.v. reality show where is is paired up with Sadie. Fake turns into real where his dad steps in again deciding Sadie isn't good enough. Even though his dad is sick and wants him to take over his business empire Conner has other plans in the end. Always enjoy Sarah's books. Thank you for the entertainment and taking me away from reality at least for a little while
Fake turns real Sadie and Connor both have their own monetary motivations for entering the reality show “Game of Love”. Hers is to pay off student loans, and his is to get his inheritance. Ms. Brooks takes the reader on a delightful trip in this lighthearted read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sadie and Connor both sign up for a reality show for their own personal reasons never expecting anything to become of it or the chemistry they would have together. Before long things start to feel more real than fake. Well written and entertaining.
