Melinda Leader is in BIG trouble. There have been a lot of ladies who’ve tried to manhandle my balls in the past, but none who have actually tried to cut them off. I don’t think many blokes would be amused, and most would probably retaliate by putting a bullet in her brain. There’s just one problem. I can’t. I promised Lois I wouldn’t. I need to find Adrien and finish what I started. This time I’ll settle for a quick kill, or at least, I tell myself I will. Unfortunately, the man is proving almost impossible to find. I thought this would be over in a week, but when Adrien wants to lie low, he virtually disappears. Thankfully, James helps out and lets me in on a little secret. The price of this information is high, though. I’m not allowed to kill him. Hmm. There are worse things than death.

Oh my word Ms Mandara you have done it again - and on so many levels, lol! This book ricocheted me between sniggering at the dreadful puns and humour to feeling all hot and bothered at the very, very, VERY, NSFW happenings. Thrown into that mix was yet another edge of the seat cliff-hanger and I'm not sure whether to hug the author or hit her.


This book is high-octane, fast-paced, furiously filthy and utterly mesmerising. I was addicted to it from the very first page and I didn't even really care that the plot didn't move forward all that much. A good half of this book must either be Adie and Mel arguing or - what's a polite expression I can use that won't bother Amazon? - scenes of them of a more *ahem* personal nature 😉. Yet it never once got boring, tired or repetitive.


Adie, if you've never met him, is a super hot, super-naughty, very Spanish version of James Bond. If James Bond was also from a criminal family and didn't have any morals whatsoever. He is conceited, arrogant and entitled but also incredibly sexy and I personally love him. Mel is the ultimate badass heroine, she never gives up or gives in - well not unless orgasms are involved - not even when the odds are stacked heavily against her. Adie certainly doesn't deserve Mel - but I'm sure he will at some point.


Without giving away spoilers some events are very dubious in consent. They not only cross the line but trample all over it after having first jumped up and down, then scuffed it a bit lot, before kicking huge divots out of it too. Despite this, and probably because of Adie's unacknowledged affections AND the fact that Mel is tough enough not to be genuinely at risk, not to mention she rather enjoys his attentions, the book didn't push my boundaries too much.


My only problem now is how on earth I will cope until the author releases the next book!

Out of all the crazy plans Adie had in the past, this one was the “nicest” in theory, but probably the craziest in rationale lol! In terms of action and erotic torture, it was quite tame. So I’m thankful for a certain scene. Adie was as amusing as ever, but I really hope he won’t settle and turn soft.

“You seem to have an obsession with men’s genitals. Have you considered playing with them, rather than trying to chop them off? I’m sure you’d see much better results.”

Lethal Retaliation is book five of the series. I’m looking forward to what I hope to be an explosive finale.

Told in dual POV, the push/pull dynamic between Adie and Mel is ever present. Adie isn’t above any trickery and Mel usually has the upper hand until now. Exacting his revenge is a bit of a dicey situation, but Adie’s boundaries are quite blurry, so pleasure comes as he sees fit.

In this series, I have been #TeamAdie and remain so despite his naughty actions. Though I enjoyed reading about Adie’s ministrations, this book has less action than others and read a little slower for me. Getting to know more about Mel was a plus.

Lethal Retaliation is an erotic revenge story. With a cliffy ending, I’m looking forward to seeing how Adie sorts himself.

I'm having lots of fun with the adventures of Adie and Mel :) Adie once again has the upper hand in this book, and we see his softer side, if there is such a thing. They are both a little frustrated that they are not allowed to kill each other, but they intend to get around that little caveat, one way or another.

When I initially wrote the book, it did not have the ending it does now. After the first edit, I wasn't happy with where I'd left it, so added another chapter. This makes it the longest book in the series so far with around 110,000 words.

While this book showed a softer side to Adie, I expect the fun, games and torture to return in the next. You've been warned!!

When Lois saves Adrien “Adie” Dumortier from Melinda “Mel” Leader’s clutches, he is more than grateful. Adie weak from all the sick machinations that she performed to him have left him weak and a bit weary. Still, Adie is intent on revenge; he will make Mel pay for everything that she has ever done to him. Adie just doesn’t know how yet will come up with something. When Adie decides that he will Mel his and get her to marry him. All of his problems have been solved. Now to get Mel to agree to a marriage with him will be the biggest dilemma. Adie doesn’t think it’s possible especially since Mel doesn’t really like him. Mel tried to castrate him and Adie doesn’t take that lightly. Adie will do anything even drugging Mel to agree. Of course, it is the best laid plan except for one thing Adie wasn’t expecting, love.
I have decided I hate Ms. CP Mandara because you made me fall in love with Adie!!!!! Aaarrgh!!! How dare you Ms. Mandara!!!! You know I was happy and resolved to just like Adie because he scares the ever-loving piss out of me!!! Adie wants all women to adore and grovel at his feet which I would try to appease him just so he doesn't kill me. Adie truly has a good sensitive caring side. I'm not into fisting either but he is almost gentle too. Okay I'm almost team Adie too. So now I will have to decompress to write a fairly tamed down version of a review instead of what I want to say. That yes Adie in my deep dark fantasies I do want you too. You fascinate me and it’s a good thing I'm married because I would enjoy a small taste of your sexual depravity. Just don't tell anyone including my hubby because he is nothing like Adie and is a good guy not a bad boy like him. So, I would walk on the wild side while I'm reading about his antics sexual or otherwise. You have so fucked up my thinking and that's putting it nicely. I will now try to bomb Adie with my throwing crumpets because it just isn't right to love you either. James is a much better er...safer option. Okay I also have the tiniest little girl crush on Mel as well. You are the absolute worst, and I don't think I'll forgive you yet...
Still, I am a glutton for punishment, so I'll be waiting for the next installment.

Oh my gosh this was hilarious! Adie just can’t seem to catch a break. As if trying to stay off Mel’s radar until he can convince her to marry him isn’t a big enough problem, he still needs to deliver a laptop whilst staying hidden from his dad’s intelligence. He’s blown any favours he has left with James after his stunt with Lois and he’s resigned from working for Sharkey. Now he has Mel right where he wants her, let’s hope Mel doesn’t remember she wants to kill him. When all is said and done, will Adie come out with his life intact on the other end? I can’t wait to read what happens in the final book.

This book was so, so good! Once again, the action, suspense, drama and steam were off the charts phenomenal! But, I think my favorite parts of the story were the humorous ones. Honestly, Adie is so outrageous sometimes that he just makes me laugh! I also loved that he was more in tune with his own humanity, a softer side, if you will. I definitely appreciated the outreach that Mel did. It’s such an important but sensitive subject and I thought it was great that it was a part of Mel’s story.
As much as I love these books, the cliffhangers kill me! I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen now!!

Adie is out for revenge when he kidnaps Mel. It's a dark romance filled with action and danger,violence and pain along with some sexual tension,attraction and dominance. It's told in the dual POV and has an entertaining push/pull relationship. I was glued to the pages right to the end and left with wanting more with the cliffhanger ending. I can't wait for the next book!

Mel is a kick-ass MI5 agent and Adie is, well, Adie. He likes to take revenge to the next level. This is a thrilling dark romance with a dual POV and plenty of witty banter and spice. I cannot wait to see which dominant personality is going to come out on top in the end. The cliffhanger was not what I was expecting but I'm looking forward to seeing where Mel and Adie go from here.

Another brilliant story by Ms Mandara, I've been so engrossed I read all the books of the series in a week and now I'm waiting (not so patiently) for the next book.

What can I say? Sex and violence have never been so funny. CP Mandera's characters are in fine form as Adie tries to exact exquisite revenge on Mel for what she put him through in the last book. Of course, since she works for MI5, he has to tread very, very carefully. His scheme is so outrageous, you can't help but think it will end in tears! Brilliant, and with a cliffhanger that will have you biting your e-reader with anxiety.

This is an author who can definitely brighten my day. We are back with Adie and Mel once again and Adie (for once) is on the front foot, well kind of. In this episode in the life of Adie and Mel, Adie has excelled himself in the deception stakes, sadly his plans do not run smoothly and after a great deal of effort things go really awry as we come to the cliffhanger finale.
A brilliantly crafted book that had me on stitches, whilst keeping the element of humour, C.P. Mandara never fails to deliver.

What I really like is that they made promises and they really do not want to keep them but their code of honor is in their way. I mean, I actually liked this guy and then this....the only saving grace? He wants Mels' willing submission. So he must wait. Coincidentally, so must we. I love Adie and Mel's relationship. You would think this man would stay as far away from her as possible or eliminate her. But, I think he may be just a little bit in love with her. She can give just as good as she gets.

This book is a continuance of the Lois and James series, in the beginning Adrien has a run in with Mel and some friends help him out… As the story progresses we get treated to car chases, magic sleepy time tea and two secret agents trying to outmaneuver their counterparts.
Full of twists and turns, an exciting read, and if I wasn’t a mom, I wouldn’t put it down! Seriously recommend it.

Omg! What a great book. This is book five of this extremely interesting kickass fascinating series. While you could read this as a standalone, I really recommend that starting at the beginning is the only way to get the full effect. Darkness is a key to Addie and Mel's romance with strong elements of D/S, torture and more. As expected Christina's story is intense, well written and addictive
Charismatic characters bring the story to life and are so well developed. This fast paced plot is so full of twists and turns you really need to buckle in and enjoy this ride. Of course we expected bit of steam with these characters and it delivers. I cannot wait to see what Christina has planned for us next.

Adrien is saved by Lois and Elizabeth, Melinda is drugged by Lois unbeknownst to her. Melinda has an idea that it was Lois getting her back, even though she has no idea how she did it. Melinda is out of her mind trying to find Adrien, but luck was on her side when she went to the art gallery. When she was trying to find the thief at the gallery, she ran into Adrien and made sure he knew that she saw him. He is dumbfounded and doesn't know how she knew it was him even in the disguise he was wearing. Fast forward to him drugging his own drink, Melinda losing her memory for the last 3 years and her waking up in an unfamiliar house that she has no memory of. On top of that, her and Adrien are married. This has it all, suspense, drama and keeping you on your seat of what the heck will happen next.

Wow! I did not see that coming. I guess there’s more to this story. Well I loved this next saga with Adrian and Mel. Ms. Mandara definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. She’s very good at throwing in twists to throw you off. Also extremely good at putting humor into the dialogue. I literally lol a couple of times. I guess I have to wait for the next book to come out to see whats gonna happen next.

Wowsers! Ms Mandara hasn't disappointed so far with any of the books in this Twisted, Dark and Deadly series and Lethal Retaliation is no exception. Lethal Retaliation: If there was such a thing as Reader Orgasmic Edging, this is it!!!!!

Best in clever plotting, fantastic dialogue, wonderful characters and of course, great bdsm scenes.

C.P. Mandara arouses you over and over as you watch Mel and Adrien verbally spar, while he manipulates her into begging for an orgasm then denies her. My hands twisted into the pillow next to me as I read this witty, funny and provocative book. Scenes like Adrien fingering an aroused Mel under the table at the ball after sneaks some cream onto her dinner roll that makes her incredibly horny and when Mel . By the middle of the book even I was begging Mel to finally say the words that would release us all.

Adrien is rescued by Lois in the beginning of the book with the caveat that he would not kill Mel for what she had done to him.; Mel is furious once she wakes up (drink spiked by Lois in the rescue) and determined to kill Adrien but is forced into an agreement not to by James. While he heals from his wounds he plots how to make Mel his.

The plot finally becomes one of turning Mel into his wife, because then it would be suspicious if she killed him. The tension each feels finally comes to a peak when they connect at a charity ball, each determined to drug and outsmart the other. Adrien gets the upper hand and Mel is given a drug causing a chemical amnesia. The remainder of the book is how he convinces Mel that they were together for 3 years and getting married a couple of weeks, that she is a slave and signed a contract to that extent.

Great scenes include plot lines that twists the books together- like when Adrien asks Mel if he would have allowed his butt to be branded with her name (book 3) and that she has his name on her back (book 2). Such irony, since the brand and the carving were part of the torture of each other.

I read this in one sitting, unable to stop reading and screaming NO at the incredible twists and turns. Only one criticism- C. P. Mandara does not write fast enough and we have to wait too long between books. I realize genius takes time but.... Please, please, release us from the magical hold you have over us (just kidding- more, more, more please Mistress)

**spoiler alert** Melinda (Mel) and Adie's story continues again with Adie and Mel still trying to kill each other. We last see Adie getting saved from Mel's hands, now we see both Mel and Adie's making promises that they cannot kill each other to certain people. Adie starts to make plans on how he can get his revenge back at Mel but keep her alive. His decision came to be he would get her to marry him, he really has to work his magic and attraction to Mel to get her back in his clutches. After not getting his chance of drugging and kidnapping her at an art show, he works his way into a charity dinner knowing that Mel would attend. At the end of the event he notices her leave with another man causing his jealousy to spark, so he goes after her by finding out what room the man and her were in, he then interrupts informing the man that he was her fiancee. Mel and him make a pact that they wouldn't drug each other, but of course Adie doesn't stay true to his word, being he had drugged his own drink, which she had wanted a drink of. When she awakens she comes to in Adie's new house that he has purchased to keep him and her hidden and away from anyone they both know. She has no memory of who she is for the last few years, and Adie has made up a story of them living together over the last 3 years and were a month away from the wedding. We watch Adie be as sweet as he can be and hoping that her memory does not come back as he was informed it was possible. But we also see him having a problem trying to hold his dominant, sex, and kinky ways back as she has no memory of being involved in that and she was insecure and not comfortable with being sexual with him. Towards the end of the book we watch Adie take her to a club when all of a sudden her memory comes back, she starts to go after Adie when all of a sudden low and behold his father arrives. There is another cliffhanger and boy was the ending a shock and unexpected. I expected his father would come in at some point but not the way he did. Can't wait for the next book.

Adrien is saved by Lois and Elizabeth while Melinda is drugged. Mel knows that it had to be Lois that drugged her but she still questions James but he let it be known that he went to bed early. Mel is determined to find Adrien but she has no luck lately she has a job at an art gallery and she is surprised that the man she thought could not possibly be the thief is exactly who he was but he was working with an accomplice. On her way out trying to catch the thief, she lets Adrien know that he wasn't fooling anyone. Adrien is shocked because he thought his disguise was a good one. Adrien has been a busy man and he finds out that Mel is supposed to attend a gala for her favorite charity and he gets some inside information and shows up at her favorite charity she is not surprised to see him she knew if she couldn't find him he would find her but she made a mistake that cost her memory and now Adrien is in the driver's seat again and lies to get her to cooperate with what he wants. He gets arrogant and foolishly puts them both into a dangerous situation again. Enjoyed their storyline. Drama, suspense, betrayal, BDSM, adult content, and love. Cliffhanger. Adrien aka Adie has been rescued and saved from Melinda aka Mel by Lois and Elizabeth. He is determined this time to keep himself out of Mel’s sadistic plans of his annihilation but, with that being said Mel is determined to destroy Adie. So does the best agent win?? Adrien has a genius plan! He has gotten his hands on an experimental drug that will supposedly erase Mels memory and marriage before her memory comes back! This is a page turning dark erotic story so keep that in mind. A pretty fast-paced read with a boat load of drama, revenge, suspense, twists and turns, more steam than a body can handle and a lot of comedy. Who would have guessed? This being book five of the series doesn’t make it any less captivating…each book just gets better and better. As with the others in the series I highly recommend. Such a good read. But trust me when I say you are not going to want to take a break from reading it until you reach the end. Now once again I cannot wait for book six - I’ve got to know what’s next!! There is more than a little bad blood between our hero and heroine and maybe something more. They are treading a thin line and it is unclear where things are going to fall.

This is book five of the series. While it could be read as a standalone, I recommend starting at the beginning to get the full effect.

This is a dark romance with strong elements of D/S and more. The story is well written and easy to read, but also rather intense. If you are looking for the usual vanilla BDSM, this is not it. That being said, if you like things with a bit more edge, then you are in the right place. The characters are well developed and definitely bring the story to life. The plot is fast paced and full of interesting (and often dark) twists and turns. There is also quite a bit of steam along the way. Overall, I found this entry to be highly enjoyable and look forward to seeing where it goes next.

Wow, they say that love and hate are two sides of the same coin and for Adrien and Mel that is so true. Both think they want to kill the other but after Addie is saved by Lois he has to promise not to kill Mel and Mel has promised James the same thing. Addie comes up with a devious plan to ensure Mel won’t kill him. As with everything in Adrien’s life nothing goes as planned and although both he and Mel come to a realisation about their feelings, a major problem arises and there is a major cliffhanger. I feel so bad for Addie. There are a lot of hot, hot scenes but it is the dialogue, both internal and between Addie and Mel that is the most entertaining in this book. How kidnapping and confinement can both be amusing and not seem wrong is quite surprising. No matter what Adrien does the reader finds themselves rooting for him and chuckling at his internal monologue.

Adie is back and in fighting form. He's definitely getting his own back in this installment of the twisted, dark and deadly collection. I loved seeing him playing his role and his effort to darkly woo Mel.

As for Mel, I know I said previously that while I admire strong female leads I wasn't sure how to feel about her, however, I have enjoyed the sassy one liners and her sense of style. It was interesting to read Mel in the role portrayed in this novel even though it was under not-so-nice circumstances.

With the ending of the novel finishing on a "oh shit moment" I will look forward to reading the next novel. Hopefully Mel and Adie can overcome their differences and amicably defeat a mutual, familiar enemy because they are a beautiful match for each other. Also, whose doesn't love a good enemies to lovers with a bit (a lot) of bite.

Adie (Adrien) thinks he has thought up the best plan, to keep himself safe from the dangerous Melinda, while getting his own back on her. Can he make it work or will he fail to plan it out well enough to fool Melinda? I loved the steam, the push-pull of their relationship, the battle for dominance, Adie's bumbling plans (which don't always turn out, but boy do they amuse me), Melinda's spirit and feisty nature. I certainly had plenty of laughs at what Adie is trying to pull, and how he charms his way around things. I loved learning more about the mysterious Melinda, and I am hanging out for what happens next.

This novel is full of revenge, erotic suspense, twisted motives, and salacious actions. OMG! This story is excellent! I can never read Ms. Mandara’s work without having my heart palpitate, while I am learning about one outrageously enticing event after another. Therefore, while I anxiously wait for MORE, I highly recommend this book!!!
